Guest Reviews
- raymond (10/5): Charming peaceful stress break - Good location close to casino gas good food and walking distance to the Sacramento River and main Street. Remoded very nice furniture and more nice gazebo lots of plants very welcoming Really no complaints would have liked coffee earlier but it is a holiday weekend

- Chuck (9/5): -
- John (6/5): - The price It was called the Rierside in, yet I never saw a river.
- Robert (7/5): 2nd time here. A couple of places to eat within walking distance. Quiet location off the main street - Just coffee, and packaged snacks.
Family run business.
Sacramento river right behind with walking/ biking trail.
- Sarah (10/5): Quaint clean nice stay. - Host of the Inn was super nice and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Everything was great.
- Baker (8/5): -
- Graeme (8/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating and helped us with boat trailer parking. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic. there is no coffee or microwave in the room.
- Tim (10/5): - The location was great and the staff was as friendly and helpful as always. Be careful in the bathroom. If the tile floor gets wet, it's as slippery as ice.
- Walters (10/5): same as above - plain breakfast juice , fruit, yogurt, coffee, danish Perhaps better food for breakfast. everything else was fine. would stay there again
- Briana (7/5): Pretty decent, but I’d appreciate some more natural pest management strategies. - Convenient, quiet location, owners have pride in the property They seem to be having a bit of a bug issue - lots of mosquitoes (unsurprising given warm weather and close to water) and yellow jackets. The woman who was working was trying to mitigate the bugs by spraying excessive amounts of Raid to the point I felt like I was constantly breathing in chemicals.
- Juan (8/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): - Charming motel with Buddhist theme. Everything clean, tidy, and friendly. Walk to towns bars and restaurants or the river!
- Iopu (10/5): Very nice place, thank you - Nice and quiet affair, front desk lady was nice, room was clean and very comfortable, thank you None
- Rebecca (10/5): - Very nice people that runs the place 😊 Cleanest place that I have stay is n coulsa
- Rebecca (10/5): The office people are very nice and they even have breakfast for you. It’s snacks but it’s still really good hot tea hot - Very clean

- Tom (10/5): I went to Colusa to do a bike ride along the river, expecting to just spend one night. But it was so - Cool location, right by the Sacramento River. Some quirky little details around the property--e.g. tropical fish tank in the office, two large wooden goose statues outside. The room was clean and comfortable, very reasonable price. The staff was helpful and friendly, seemed like a family business. "We mostly get two kinds of guests," the clerk told me. "Birdwatchers and hunters." The weather was cold and foggy.
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Great base for world class local birding at the many nearby wildlife refuges. - The location is in central Colusa within walking distance to the few decent places in town for food and drink, and it is the only reliably clean, safe, and friendly lodging in town. It’s a humble place, but it’s consistently immaculately clean, and staff is unerringly friendly and professional. There’s both a fridge and a microwave. Comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of outlets, decent WiFi/TV, and free healthy breakfast snacks and coffee. This isn’t a luxury place (there are none in Colusa), but if you’re looking for a clean, reliable, safe place to serve as a base for prime birding in the amazing nearby wildlife refuges, this is a great (dare I say hidden) choice for you. You can also walk right out the door and up onto a trail in the levee behind the building.

- Steve (10/5): Well worth the stay - If you are looking for 5 star, this isn't it. If you are looking for great value in a comfortable, well appointed room, you will find it here. The room was very comfortable and nicely laid out. The facilities were spotless and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and did all they could to make our stay great, even to giving us a couple of firm persimmons :-) Nothing comes to mind, they even had a radiator heater to help out with the bathroom which was very welcome at shower time.
- Jeanne (10/5): -
- Betty (10/5): Excellent property, excellent management. - The owner/front desk person is warm and welcoming, very sweet and accommodating. All good. There’s nothing that I didn’t like.

- David Uhle (9/5): Great value. Excellent place to stay in twon. - Great value Nothing
- Susan (7/5): Pretty disappointed after seeing 8+ ratings online. - The room was mostly clean and the staff was nice. This is an old-school motel, complete with the funky bedspread. Couldn’t get the TV to work. Breakfast was just fruit and packaged snacks. No in-room coffee or ice.
- Wayne (8/5): Multiple stays, always clean and comfortable. - Have stayed at the Riverside Inn multiple times. It is always clean and comfortable. Good parking and close to the town center. Their breakfast is very minimal, more like snacks than breakfast.
- David (8/5): Great hotel for the price. Would stay again. - Very nice front desk staff. Great locations and easy parking.
- Kelly (8/5): Rooms are small, but it's clean and the price is very reasonable, good location and nice staff. - helpful staff Breakfast is mostly junk food. (except bananas and apples)
- Leni (9/5): -
- Bruce (2/5): We nicknamed it Motel 2, as in several steps below Motel 6 - Location was very close to an event we were attending. It's just a very old run down motel. When you sit on the toilet it rocks back and forth . . . and this was in both rooms my group stayed in. Not recommended. I will say it was clean and the lady at the front desk was pleasant. This place needs a complete remodel. especially the bathrooms
- Thomas (8/5): - Clean and comfortable No evidence of the breakfast that was supposed to be included.
- Mark (8/5): - Very attentive staff!
- Dorsey (8/5): Really lovely mosquitoes overwhelming - Parking was very close to the rooms. Snacks were able to be used for breakfast. Frigerator in your room was nice and cold. That was mostly comfy. Mosquitoes were outrageous completely taken over and intrusive with everything. Can't tell you the amount of bites we got. We were very happy that our room was very close to the car and didn't have to walk that far.
- CINDY (7/5): - Convenient and the owner is pleasant and I checked in early perfect after a long drive Black shower water but after running it for 3 minutes cleared up
- Daniel (10/5): - Beautiful property and excellent service.
- Janece (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay. The manager is a wonderful woman and really made us feel welcomed. Our room was nicely appointed and very clean.

- Jeffery (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Lisa (10/5): Tranquil, calm and comfortable. - Very tranquil. Lots of plants and flowers. Very clean and quiet when I was there. No complaints.
- Don (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Hung (4/5): - This hotel is like a motel in the 60’s and old with wall air conditioning. The price was pretty high for this room, but there doesn’t seem to be many choice around, so we only stay for one night.
- Nunez (10/5): Was comfortable and Quiet - Breakfast was light and fresh. The property was nice. Had lots of plants and fresh look.
- Tom (10/5): Nice clean quiet place - Location Nothing
- Marian (10/5): I look forward to staying here again my next time in Colusa. - Convenient location. Nice walking area near by on the levee. Property was clean and comfortable. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. No complaints
- Luis (8/5): Very good -
- Misty (10/5): - We will definitely be back. Great service rooms were absolutely clean. We had an amazing time.
- Kwame (9/5): Perfect little getaway right by the Sacramento river! - I liked the gentleman working the desk.. very cool and told us where to find some food. Nothing
- Jeanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ralph (8/5): Beautiful Downtown Colusa - The hostess was very welcoming and took a personal interest in our stay. The facilities for our needs were fine. No complaints. All was fine.
- Àmber (4/5): Disappointing - Helpful staff, great location, comfy bed, clean bathroom the room smelled like tobacco smoke and marijuana
- Veronica (9/5): Superb -
- Derek (7/5): Good -
- Pitter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): Overall I thought it was a good place to stay, well managed and clean, and close to restaurants. - Breakfast was basic, opened for coffee early and had fruit, juice, yogurt and packaged foods. Good location off the main drag, lots of fisherman that were up at 4 am and a bit noisy. Noisy early morning risers (fisherman heading out to the Sacramento River at 4 am). Sounds carry and it woke us up.
- Garcia (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Older but clean - Limited amenities for the price
- Enrico (7/5): Good -
- Rebecca (10/5): The lady in the office is very very nice very helpful. She even told us about the bingo over at the - The breakfast was good something small I think was the best had coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pastries, fruit, juices, and other items.
The location is perfect for what we are going there for it wasn’t too far from the place that we need to be that Friday night to overnight to Saturday. I don’t think there’s anything we need to be better. We were satisfied the room in the parking and the breakfast and the price was reasonable.
- P7686JMmarcm (10/5): Very nice place to stay in Colusa - My experience was consistent with other positive reviews here. The place is nothing fancy, but solid, clean, convenient and a great value. The owner is super nice and helpful with local restaurant recommendations. I'd highly recommend it.
- Veronica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (8/5): Small, rural town motel - This facility is an older building that has been relatively well maintained. All appliances functioned although the refrigerator was old and ran continuously. City water has a mild sulpher taste and guests are offered bottled water for drinking. We didn't try the morning breakfast, but went to a really nice coffee shop a block away. Bed was comfortable and there were bedside tables with reading lamps. For a small, rural town, this is a decent place to stay.
- Trevino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucia (10/5): Very comforting - Small town feel and felt safe. Very welcoming. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a good experience - Not a good experience, we were first given marijuana smelling room and then when requested a different room was given, mostly there is noone at the reception
- David (9/5): Excellent for an overnight stay when traveling. - Sparse, but that is what I expected.
- Boggs (8/5): Very good - The helpfulness of the staff to make my stay nice.
Plenty of towels! Thank you I like a coffee maker in the room with coffee.
- Yeager (8/5): Very good -
- Annette (7/5): Good - By the river, though it’s not visible, very conveniently located for the small town center. The staff is very nice. The room was well furnished but crowded.
- Pamela (9/5): Colusa River Inn - Nice staff. Clean bedding, rooms and bathroom.
- Pamela (9/5): Superb -
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
