Die Zimmer waren sauber und schön eingerichtet. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war etwas schwach für mein Gefühl.

- Melanie-Diana (8/5): Zentrales, sauberes und schönes Hotel mit tollen Service und Frühstück - Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und schmackhaft. Das Spa ist auch sehr schön. Der Service ist durchweg wunderbar. Besonderes bei Sabina möchten wir uns noch einmal bedanken. Sie ließt einem die Wünsche von den Augen ab und hat unseren Aufenthalt dadurch noch schöner werden lassen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Manchmal ist der Küchengeruch zu uns ins Zimmer in den dritten Stock gezogen. Wir haben dann gelüftet und es wurde besser.

- Julia (8/5): Ein schönes, kleines familiengeführtes Hotel in den Bergen. - Das Familienzimmer ist sehr geräumig und ansprechend eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich wohl, hat genug Platz in den Schränken und einen netten Balkon mit Blick auf den Berg. In den Betten schläft man ausgezeichnet. Der Saunabereich ist sehr schön und für uns war der absperrbare Radstall in der Garage ideal. Der Bach vor dem Hotel ist bei geöffnetem Fenster recht laut. Für empfindliche Leute deshalb weniger zu empfehlen aber für uns hat es gepasst.
- Sarah (8/5): Hidden gem, cosy, family run boutique hotel in Grossarl. - Where to start! Maria and her team run a beautiful hotel in Grossarl. We booked the suite because we wanted a balcony and we were not disappointed. Gorgeous view of the town and the mountains. The hotel itself is very comfortable, we used the upstairs sauna quite a bit. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast were top, great selection of healthy food as well as lots of nice pastries and treats. We ate at the restaurant downstairs a couple of nights. Very fresh produce, would highly recommend the super food salad (if you’re feeling a little bit overloaded on the traditional Austrian fare!) The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the gondolas which we used to go up the mountain and then hike from there. However, there are plenty of other hikes near the hotel that you don’t need to use the gondala for. They are well focused on sustainability too, no small bottles of shampoo or soap. And refill water. It’s good to see this. Thanks Maria and team! We had a great time and loved your hotel. Nothing. It’s just so lovely. Delighted we booked it.
- Josef (10/5): Alles super, jederzeit wieder!!! - Sehr schönes, familiengeführtes Hotel mitten im Zentrum, sehr nette Besitzer und freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal. Ebenso im Haus die empfehlenswerte Kost Bar! Mit dem Schibus (Haltestelle direkt vor dem Haus), der im 1/4 Stundentakt verkehrt, ist man unkompliziert und schnell auf der Piste. Gibt’s nichts zu beanstanden.

- Patrick (8/5): Wir waren zur Weihnachtszeit da und es hat uns sehr schön gefallen. - Familienbetrieb, Alle sehr herzlich. Wir wurden sofort liebevoll empfangen. Die Saunazeiten sind ungünstig. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass die Sauna bereits früh um acht oder 9:00 Uhr angestellt wird.

Liebe Grüße an Maria und ihr Team, ihr seid einfach Spitze, liebe Grüße Patrick Alles war super, das Essen ist auch einfach traumhaft in der Kost-Bar, wenn jemand erleben möchte wo Gastfreundschaft noch groß geschrieben wird, dann sollte man ins Berg-Leben kommen.

- Matthias (9/5): Gemütliches Hotel mit super liebenswerten Gastgebern - Das Berg-Leben ist ein schönes Hotel in der Ortsmitte von Großarl. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Gastfreundschaft war groß, wir haben viele Ausflugs- und- Ausgehtipps bekommen und es wurde auf sämtliche Wünsche eingegangen. Die Sauna ist ebenfalls eine Erwähnung wert, da sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir waren in der Vorsaison da, daher hatten Mo-Mi viele Restaurants geschlossen. Das war ein wenig schade, aber auch nicht super tragisch, da man, insbesondere bei den größeren Hotels, immer ein offenes Restaurant gefunden hat.

Zudem wäre ein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer mit etwas Tee schön gewesen.

- Sandy (10/5): - Wir waren 3 Tage im Berg-Leben. Es war ein rundherum schöner Aufenthalt mit sehr freundlichen Personal. Maria hat uns super Ausflugstips gegeben. Die Sauna konnten wir, zum Glück, 2 Abende alleine genießen. Das Essen in der Kostbar und das Frühstück waren sehr gut. Leider ist es schwierig, aufgrund der Strasse, mit offenen Fenster zu schlafen. Der Saunabereich ist schnell überfüllt und man findet keine Liege,wenn viele Gäste auf einmal kommen.
- Eva (10/5): Tolles Hotel, nette Inhaber, viel Bergluft - Ich war in einem sehr schönen, modernen Zimmer untergebracht. Weil ich schon fast zum Saisonende dort war und das Hotel deswegen nicht komplett ausgebucht war, habe ich sogar ein Upgrade mit Balkon erhalten. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jeden Tag gab's Ausflugtipps und die passenden Wegbeschreibungen. Auf Wunsch kann ein ganzer Wochenplan erstellt werden :) Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und frisch. Am Abreisetag musste ich früh los, weswegen mir noch ein leckeres Lunchpaket zusammengestellt wurde. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Kostbar, die direkt zum Hotel gehört. Das Essen und die Getränke dort sind prima und mit viel Liebe angerichtet. Der Ort selber ist überschaubar, eignet sich aber gut als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, Städtetrips oder andere Aktivitäten. Wegen der Jahreszeit waren einige Ausflugsziele nur begrenzt erreichbar bzw. Läden geschlossen. Gelangweilt habe ich mich aber zu keiner Zeit.. Im Gegenteil - die Ruhe und Bergluft hat zu ganz viel Entspannung beigetragen :) Habe nichts auszusetzen.

- Martina (8/5): Gute Lage, schöne Zimmer, supernettes Personal. - Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter. Konnten sogar schon früher einchecken, Chefin war super hilfsbereit bei der Bike-Routen-Planung. Es könnte mehr auf die tollen Cocktails der Kost-Bar hingewiesen werden :-)
- Maria (10/5): - Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende hier verbracht und uns von der ersten Minute an wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind einfach großartig – herzlich, aufmerksam und immer hilfsbereit. Besonders gefreut hat uns, dass wir tolle Tipps für Routen und Wanderwege bekommen haben, ohne überhaupt danach gefragt zu haben. Wir sind diesen Empfehlungen gefolgt und waren begeistert. Die Zimmer sind mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet, alles war makellos sauber. Man merkt, dass hier wirklich Wert auf Qualität und Details gelegt wird. Das Frühstück war ein Traum – frisch gebacken, abwechslungsreich und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Auch das Restaurant am Abend hat uns überzeugt: hervorragendes Essen, angenehme Atmosphäre. Wer lieber entspannen möchte, kann den Wellnessbereich mit Sauna genießen oder sich eine Massage gönnen – perfekt, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Es gab wirklich nichts, was wir negativ anmerken könnten. Es war rundum perfekt, und wir freuen uns jetzt schon darauf, wiederzukommen.

- Tomas (10/5): Ubytování opravdu předčilo mé očekávání. - Krásný rodinný hotel se nachází v centru malebného horského městečka s plnou dostupností všeho, na co si vzpomenete. Personál velmi přátelský a nápomocný, vytváří milé prostředí celého hotelu. Pokoj byl světlý, čistý, útulný, prakticky vybavený, spolu s balkónem famózní. Je zde možnost uložení kol, tělocvična pro funkční trénink (hrazda, kettlebell) ideální. Parkování v garáži kousek od hotelu. Nemohu opomenout jídlo, které bylo excelentní (od snídaně přes oběd až po večeři a moučník na dobrou noc).

We went there for hicking and I got from the reception the best recommendation on where to go. The hotel is clean, modern, quiet, with a personal touch in every room. The breakfast had everything we wanted and a cozy atmosphere. Also the restaurant in the evening was a pleasure. It is situatued right in the center of Großarl, which makes it very easy to either go for a hike right there or take the bus. I would come back again, any season.

- Herbert (10/5): A winter dream in Grossarl - We had a very nice time at Berg-Leben and the friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. We booked at short notice and were lucky with our choice and were completely satisfied. The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are modern and spacious, the breakfast is a fabulous treat, the ski bus leaves right outside the door and at Christmas time the beautiful Advent market is right on the doorstep. At the reception you are advised about activities and luckily they also informed us that an alpine lodge was closed - otherwise we would have been standing in front of closed doors after a hike. We visit Grossarl in both summer and winter and simply love this valley.

Location perfect for skiing, a free ski bus stops right outside the hotel every 15 mins and takes you straight to the slopes. Also shops, bakery’s and restaurants round the corner. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again in the future nothing
