Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Billig og enkelt - Lite, billig og enkelt rom, lokalt i byen og lett og finne frem.
- WallyW942 (10/5): Still great! - I visit here every year as I have come to use PV as a last stop in Mexico before flying back to the States. Friendly, convenient and extremely reasonable. And though the rooms are relatively spartan, they are clean a comfortable. This time I opted for the small type room, though, in the past, I have stayed in the "view rooms" with a king size bed. But no matter which room you choose, my favorite aspect of this hotel is the terrace. Fabulous for watching the sunset. Finally, while the breakfast is simple, it has a nice variety of fruit as well as a piece of sweet bread. This hotel is super for the budget minded!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hostel is clean, in a beautiful location on the hillside, with an easy small walk up the steps to reach. We stayed a few nights and had breakfast there most mornings. Fresh fruit and juice, coffee and homemade banana bread. Rooftop terrace has sublime views over the bay and zona romantica, day or night.
Reception desk is very nice, Yasmin has great English! Try and get an upstairs room with a view. Economy room is dark and needs air, but you get what you pay for. Great stay, would visit again!
- David (8/5): Great very basic room - This was a last minute quick trip for us! We love the area perfect for walking everywhere the hotel is nice but very basic like bare bone basic but overall has everything you need! You do have to walk up a few stairs and a little hill but not bad at all! If you are looking for frills don’t book here. If you are looking for a descent clean room in a great area this is your place! And the price is great we will stay here again
- Maricela (10/5): Stairway to heaven - Best place in Mexico I have ever stayed in by far and the staff is very friendly will most definitely be staying here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor value for the Peso - Not comfortable, not clean, not maintained, would never choose again. Perhaps other rooms are better.
- Verified traveler (10/5): great - beautiful centrally located area in the hills. considerate staff.
- Aquaair72 (8/5): Excellent location, delicious breakfast - I wish the hostel were better signposted as I walked twice in front of it without noticing. As people on the street had no idea about it I hiked up and down the stairs with a huge rucksack but finally arrived. However it was very early (only 9am) and the room was not ready (obviously) I was allowed to put my stuff there, have a shower and I even got a glass of juice (it was obvious that I urgently need some drink when I arrived). I was lucky enough to be alone in the room for 3 night (had a bunk but luckily no room mate). Unfortunately the room was right next to the door (slamming) and the reception so it was quite noisy. Also, half of the window was missing (and there was no lock on the door) so I couldn't exclude neither the noise nor the coldness. I slept in my coat but next morning I got an extra blanket when I asked. The breakfast is only a small peace of cake and fruit which is a delicious and healthy start of the day together the freshly prepared juice and coffee. The roof terrace has an amazing view. I was a bit anxious about leaving all my stuff in the room which can't be secured but it was fine.
It's close to the centre but still in a quiet location and the staff is kind and helpful.
I guess their private rooms are much better and some of them have a wonderful view too.
- MikeLondonSE (10/5): Great friendly place, great views and room too (#10) - We three middle aged Brits had landed in PV on a Friday 16/3 unaware that it was a bank holiday weekend (Benito Juarez' birthday on the 21st) so after our first prebooked Friday night we had trouble booking the rest of the long weekend. Lucky a search by my friends on Saturday found this place at a very good price, maybe because of a cancellation. I was not involved in the choice and did not check it out on TA.
We checked out of Hotel Hacienda Vallarta del Gloria at noon, had an excellent long brunch at Lamara nearby and jumped on a bus towards the centre to check in to HVS. We got off the bus close by and made our way up the steep steps in the leafy road/passage, finding the hostel on the right at around 14:30 (earliest check in was 14:00).
Through the iron door gates up some more stairs into the reception the friendly receptionist welcomed us, checked us in and showed us the communal facilities which were all very colourful and clean. A shared fridge was available by the kitchenette.
She took us up the stairs to our room (#10 unmarked) which was quite spectacular for our standards. There was a big, airy, massive 6ft 4inch wide bed with thin sheets (blankets in the alcove) and a standard single by the other wall, near a large LED TV. Shower cubicle and sink room with a toilet (overhead diffuse lighting for both on one switch in the sink room) was all nicely laid out, almost boutique. The curtained off sink and toilet area was a bit too open for my friends' likings.
In the main bedroom the side window view was of the sea with the cathedral behind a tree unfortunately! The wifi was good so a bit of catching up and syncing was in order. A resident gecko skippered around the walls reassuring us that bugs would be taken care of, although time spiders/miles were milling around in some places, as well as a male flying ant. No big deal as I'm into nature conservation wildlife! The slopes are very verdant with butterflies, humming birds, squirrels spotted in the surrounding vegetation. An urban paradise almost!
We settled in and popped up to the roof terrace that the receptionist encouraged us to see. It proved to be enormous, open and with three sun loungers overlooking the whole of the newer PV and the sea of course. We seemed to be the highest and most prominent property on the slope up to the cross behind us. The Panorama restaurant was nearby to the north and the cathedral crown on a level to us to the south. Quite spectacular! We decided to do a bit of sunbathing before hitting the Blue Chairs Beach Resort past the Zona Romantica. There was no Wifi on the roof unfortunately for checking things out in the shady area by the stairs.
Our night was very comfortable (earplugs in just in case), and after a hot shower at 09:30 in the morning we descended to breakfast which proved very pleasant on the corner balcony table overlooking the town and sea northwards with the morning sun from behind up the hill, blazing on my neck (so extra lotion smeared on). The proprietress and her two friendly kitchen staff had prepared large plates of fruit (papaya, melons, banana) and some bread pudding. Coffee, hot water for tea (i.e. American tepid unbrewable style) with milk too if required, and watery juices were also available. All a very pleasant start to the day. As we had finished eating after 10:00 we had to wash our own dishes which was no problem.
The morning was only marred by the road traffic a couple of streets down, resurfacing roadworks one street down below (on a bank holiday Monday!), a neighbouring building site and intermittent wifi (which seemed the norm in PV despite a strong signal. Oh well, hopefully at least two problems will be sorted by summer!
We ascended up into our room and packed in order to checkout by 11, their deadline, and sat in the kitchen terrace area to catch up on syncing, planning and reviewing when the general PV internet allowed us to. The proprietress said we could relax and take our time, despite having checked out. All very civilised. A loo (and shower) is by the coffee machine.
Overall a great, friendly, clean and well equipped place the stay so a rare 5/5 awarded. Things beyond their control like internet access or local roadworks cannot be a mark down.
- Teresa Durga (8/5): Perfect location and great view - High climb up on a steep hill there is an incredible view from the King Suite. The bed was comfy. AC worked well. The room needs new curtains and there was a bad smell. Shower head needs to be replaced and lowered for adjustment. Had to ask for towels and a blanket. Toilet tank did not have a top and there was nowhere to put toilet paper. Daily staff spoke only Spanish in this high tourist section with many Americans and Canadians.
- Relax707301 (2/5): Not Worth It - When we first arrived, the front desk lady was uncooperative and had lost our reservation. After calling Expedia to get the situation figured out, we were finally showed to our room (which was the “master suite”).
To start, the door handle is barely hanging on by two screws and doesn’t lock very well. There is no comforter on the bed - only sheets. And as far as the sheets go, I have been here 5 days now and the sheets have never been changed. On the first day, they took the shower towels and never replaced them. Lucky for me I brought my own beach towel to dry off with. The WiFi doesn’t even reach our room - only on the first two floors to the cheaper rooms. When you shower, if someone flushed a toilet in the building, the pressure drops significantly.
The view is beautiful, and the location is close to the boardwalk, but the noise from the traffic and the music from the night clubs blast long into the night which is not easy to sleep to.
I cannot recommend this place in good conscience to anyone coming to Puerto Vallarta. Even if you are on a budget, there are several other places to consider before this one. Don’t do it.
- alejandroaQ6835KU (2/5): Worst experience ever!! - This has been a nightmare for me! I had to cancel my stay here. I was supposed to stay 5 nights here but couldn't go past the second night. The worst service and horrible room! Please don't waist your money here. There are plenty more places to stay at than here!!
- anayelyr (2/5): Hate it - This hotel is horrible, the staff was rude. Our room wasn't ready because supposedly there was something wrong w/ it but then later we see people in it. This place is worth at least $15 or $20 the night. Lack of communication in staff.
- MrCurtisM (10/5): Are you tired of all inclusive? - This is a really great find!! If you are tired of the huge all inclusive hotels and want to actually see Puerto Vallarta, this is the place to stay. Located seconds from the Malecon and minutes to beautiful Playa Camarones beach. The staff at Vallarta Suites are there to help and are very great people . The ocean view rooms are perfect for couples or single travelers !!
- Ratih_Martial (10/5): Trick & Treat.... - Lucky to find nice place with awesome view, perfect location, friendly to our budget, plus free show "pirate & caribbean" every night 😁
We stay at their suite with balcony.
Simple yet cozy plus spacious room with intimate setting as bathroom only covered by curtains [no door].
Working WiFi, aircon and hot shower, TV with plenty channels [NO English thought, all dubbing to Spanish], communal kitchen which you can cook your favorite meal, FYI: they provide big fridge in the kitchen area where you can keep your grocery by putting it in a bag and write your name plus room number.
Breakfast was included and serve from 6am to 10am, however we were never wake up on time to catch it 😝 , here we can not give any comment.
Few Tips
- search and book online as their online rate are much lower than their walk-in rate [happen to us: rate for this place is USD $24 [online] while USD $70 [walk-in]].
- bring and paid with your USD $ as they will applied less favourable exchange rate if you pay with local currency [example: for 4 nights stay, they asked us for 2550 pesos [equal to USD $150+] while actual total rate is only at USD $127+ [tax included] hence we paid directly in USD $ 😍
- Q9805TFmikew (8/5): Stayed here one night in between travel - This was a nice hotel and I think based on low volume the one night I stayed, I was provided with a very nice corner room with full view of the bay. It was a very nice room on the upper floor with an open feel. The deck provided a lounge for afternoon sleeping and a great day and nightime view. The location right near the Malecon area was great.
- Mexico 1st time (6/5): Very nice staff! - Great staff. Good breakfast. Small room for two people with little space. No hot water for shower. But close to downtown shopping and bars/restaurants!
- Erik (8/5): New room in economical hotel - Apparently got upgraded as my reserved room was still occupied. Have stayed at hotel before, this was better though always been acceptable. Really like the area, old town but close enough to everything. Staff very pleasant and efficient.
- Andrew (10/5): comfortable, amazing staff value for money - Cannot fault this place for the money. I arrived well before check-in 8am, after a very long bus ride from Michoacan the hospitality lady (Blas) welcomed me in, gave me fresh towels and I showered and felt 100 percent. I came back 2 hours later and the Argentinian guy at reception (Anthony) gave me the room early.
The room was more than I was expecting and the breakfast was individually made, although a little small.
I cannot rate this hotel more highly just on the level on the customer service received. There was a new girl at reception who I have forgotten her name but again was very welcoming. I know this review reads as if it was the best hotel in the world. Of course it isn't. But a note to the management, you have great staff, I hope you can keep them. Out of a three week trip to Mexico touching from Puerto Vallarta to Michoacan this is my only review I am leaving. I do not impress easily folks. Enjoy your travels and Hi to the staff at the Puerto Vallarta Suites, Saludos Andrew
- WallyW942 (10/5): Friendliness, price, location 6 terrace view! - Rooms basic but fine. Terrific price! But it's all about the view. I brought a bottle wine and my guitar up yo the rooftop terrace and spent two hours from sunset till dark. Wow! A full moon rising over the hills behind made it perfect. Also noted are the friendly staff and I enjoy the fruit plate and bread. I fo, however, start my day at the Starbucks on the Malecón. There is coffee, but its not of the high test strength that I require. Still, all's good at the Hostal Vallarta Suites. I have my reservation for a return trip here in February.
- trevinf (10/5): Excellent Hostal - I was there from December 27th - December 31st 2015. I have to say I travelled a lot and stayed in so many 3-5 star hotels but never stayed at a hostel before. But let me tell you this hostel is far ore than what I had imagined. Great staff, very helpful and very polite. My entire stay at Puerto Vallarta was great. I had a private room with a private bathroom as I'm very picky when it comes to shared bathrooms. The hostel is located in a very convenient spot. Just walking distance away from all the bars, restaurants, also from the malecon. I would 100% guarantee this place for solo travelers like me specially who's looking for safety. Overall I really enjoyed this place and If I ever visit PV I would definitely stay here.
- Jimmy (10/5): Great convenient location, at great price. - Very friendly staff.
- FrancineT_13 (6/5): Nice rooms but... - If you happen to book your room through Booking.com, beware of surprises. To start with, the Booking.com site tells you you don't have to make a deposit to reserve your room. Then the hostal sends you an email saying you need to give 50% deposit to confirm your room!
Then, Booking.com does show you that details of the cost of your room and you see that taxes are included in your total which is written in pesos and american dolars.
When you arrive, hostal staff tell you that you have the pay taxes on top of the price you have and which already included taxes!!!
Then when paying directly in pesos they charge you an exchange rate!!!! Rate that happens to be 3.5 - 4% higher than any other place in town including, hotels, restaurant and banks!!!
Normally an exchange rate applies when paying in $ not when you pay in local money.
This is inacceptable.
If you take the nice 270° view room you'll have a spacious room with a precious view on the pacifico. And, providing you enjoy disco…you'll be able to enjoy in your bed until 5h30 in the morning non stop, as you hear the music from all bar of the malecon…and one of them plays it much louder than the others and until breakfast time as arrived.
Nice roof terraca with 2 tables, excellent view and refreshing breeze, but with beer cans onthe floor around many chairs…day one, and 2…without any change. However, room was clean.
- thatsnowblues (10/5): this is a hostal?? - as a 55 yr old married couple we were told by our friends that we were nuts staying in a hostal. however, we are avid trip advisor supporters and based on other reviews we were positive we would enjoy our 5-day stay. it exceeded our expectatiions. we had suite 11 i believe, on the 3rd highest level (the top being the terrace). we had a fantastic view of Banderas bay from a large balcony. our studio had a large comfy bed and the shower had plenty of hot water. the staff were friendly even going as far as to help us with our suitcases as the taxi driver found the last 1/2 block too steep to drive up. it was nice to be 3 blocks from the malecon, convenient yet not too loud at nite. we chuckled when we discovered budget hotels around the malecon were 4 yes FOUR times as expensive as our place. after staying a month in a million dollar condo in nuevo with family, this was a cool contrast for the wife and i and will do it again next year. tks monika and staff
- 825robertou (10/5): Great place and amazing view! - I really enjoy this place. There are two differente type of rooms; the one that you can share with another, perfectly is you´re traviling alone of with friends. but the one that I took was the suit with beach view! Was great. An small room with a big bed and a balcony that has a beatyful view of the entire bay (that was the best), also the hostal is nearest from the most trendy night places in the "malecón". The attention of the personal is really good and there is a tour to the Marietas Islands that was amazing, you can buy the ticket in the hostal too.
Was a great experience in PV and had a good-time in the hostal.
- thatsnowblues (10/5): best value for your money - we stayed here for 5 nights of this 4 floor "hostal". we are 57 yrs old and mobile which you must be to do the steep stairs. we have never stayed in a hostal but from what i gather, it would surpass most. we did not go "down" to the 1st or 2nd floor to see those rooms as the reception was between the 2nd and 3rd floors but the recommendations are the rooms are nicer and more spacious as you go up. ours was on the 3rd floor and we had a view of the ocean and watched the dolphins playing from our nice balcony. the bed mattress was decent and the private shower a nice size. only complaint is that the toilet had some minor smells due to seepage, thus the 4 stars and not 5. we checked pricing at other hotels and this place was less than a quarter than most. the area is very safe. we will return. tks monica and staff
- WallyW942 (10/5): Gem on the hill. Five stars for one star price. - Okay, the Hostal Vallarta has some distractions, but I'll get to those in a minute. Location, location, location is what HVS is all about. And price? Wow! The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful and the rooftop terraza is fabulous for watching the sunset. The room itself was fine though when I come back with my wife, I'll pay the extra for the room with an ocean view and the king size bed. Two more raves: the shower actually fits me and the fruit plate breakfast is wonderful for a mere $3. So here are the detractors. First, the Wi-Fi in my room never worked though I could get it downstairs in the kitchen/common room. And lastly, there is construction next door which is annoying if you plan to visit soon. Still, it was a great stay and I'll come again.
- ivano211 (10/5): Great Location, Beautiful View - This place is amazing. The view is incredible and the location can't be beat. This hotel is literally close to everything. The staff also does a great job of making you feel like family. It is a small and intimate hotel. I had the suite with a king bed and bay view. Thank you for the kindness Santiago and Monica!
- Trevin (8/5): Perfect spot for a solo traveler - My stay at the hostel was defiantly great. I'd love the place and its location and the people who worked there. At first I was but hesitant from the previous reviews how the rooms are been stuffy and musky, bad wifi, bad service and all other negative reviews. However once I got there they gave me the basement room wich at first I felt bit wired about but then I definetly started to grown on the place. Call me wired if you like but the bathroom had a very unique rustic touch which in my opinion add more character to the room. Definetly worth the money I paid and specially for a first time hostel person I was impressed. The wifi and the reception people were always there. Overall great place can't complain about anything. Just love the place. If I go to PV again I would definetly stay at this place.
- againlucyyoucrazy (8/5): Great location but room could be better - We were in one of the basement rooms and it was musty. Lighting is very poor. Location is fantastic. No surfaces to place belongings, all had to go on the floor. Don't bother with breakfast, it's a fruit plate with banana cake that's not cooked through. Use of washing machine is handy. Argentinian guy on counter is a creep. Reasonable value for money.
- Sef786 (4/5): BEAWARE and REED this before staying here . - Stayed there 3 nights . Booked single room with one bed in it . Hostel gave room with 2 beds in it and in Basement . Room # 4 has a very strong musty smell when you walk in . Shower is good . Couldn't sleep first night because of strong smell coming from pillows and room . Finally around 7 am . Got hold of front office dude. Requested him to change the room . He refused and asked me to pay more for another room . Then asked him different pillow and he came back with less smelly pillow with not very clean pillow cover . So I decided to change the pillow cover and DAAAANG. 3 Pillows were full of MOLDDD. Black and GREEN . Literally made me Jump up. Confronted to BOOKING.COM right away and demanded to get me new place . They said will come back but never came back to me . Talked to front office around 11.00 am after waiting booking.com and Front office girl MONICA was nice . She moved me to Room # 5 and apologetic . I left for few hours and when came back , guess what !!!! BIG dead COCKROACH right in the middle of room which was not there before when I was moving my luggage . Not judging but just letting every body know that please check your sheets and bed cover and pillows while staying in this property . Stay away from ROOM # 4 if u smell it even little . Air conditioner in Room 5 is very noisy and for sure you cant sleep . I had to shut it off every night so I can sleep . There is a bathroom right on top of Room # 5 and when some body is taking shower at night . It feels like some WAR is going on up there . Every single word of this Review is true so save yourself from trouble what I got . Guy at front Office is very rude though he became mild after this incident but how come house keeping lady didn't know about mold when she was changing sheets and pillow covers . Clearly they don't change sheets and pillow covers for very long time . On other hand View from top in morning is one of the best in town . Stay away from Booking.com as they dont help much on time . Property needs deposit to confirm booking and you have to send money via wire transfer to bank account or paypal . Paypal will not protect you in case you go through trouble like I had so check your all options . Please dont come back to confront me coz Its a very true review and I do not care if you do not agree with me . Happy Puerto vallarta visit .
- arono80 (6/5): Fantastic location, amazing view but they need to install the bathroom door. - The hotel is in a really good location very close to the malecon. The view is amazing 5 STAR.Our super king size bed was very comfy.
I wouldn t recommended this hotel to older people because of there is lot of steps and no lift and no choice in breakfast only fruits and banana cake.
Very important information there is NO TOILET DOOR at any room.If you travel with somebody it makes a bit uncomfortable.
- nicolebJ3097ED (8/5): Lovely view, lovely location! - I was so happy to find this gem of a hotel. The location can't be beat, and you are nestled on the hill above the Malecon, so it's a Million Dollar View. Close to shops, the cathedral, and the bay. It does require a block hike up a series of stairs, so you should have a relatively fit/healthy pair of legs. :) Monica is friendly, knowledgeable, and organized; a great asset to this establishment. There was beautiful fruit and coffee for breakfast, with a spacious common area. The only oddity was the light in the bathroom would not go all the way to off, so there was light in the room all night, which made it harder to sleep. Thank goodness for eye covers! :) I would definitely stay here again.
- Michael (10/5): Great Views for and Excellent Price - Views from king bed, full bay view room and roof deck were outstanding. Friendly, English speaking staff. A/C and Internet worked fine. Furnishings were minimalist, stylish and attractive. Noise from discos on a Wednesday night was not a problem. Breakfast of a large fruit plate, juice and a pastry was included. Enjoyed my stay.
- Karyn (10/5): This place was awesome. - We had a great stay! We were in the bay view room with king bed. Beautiful view and a nice balcony/deck on the roof top. There was a disco party music type place a couple streets down that might bother some people but, it really isn't that loud and it didn't bother us. There is a kitchen and fridge if you want to use that or you can go out and eat in the town. We didn't swim at the beach out in fron because it's difficult to get in the water...possible but more difficult. This place was awesome.
- Rayphiel (6/5): RETIRED.. - WELL TO BEGIN.IF YOU LIKE YOU INTERNET.AND YOUR T V. YOU DONT WANT TO STAY HERE.THE ROOM WAS VERY SMALL.WELL TO SUM IT UP I ME.WILL NOT SLEEP THERE AGAIN..
- Tracey (8/5): Great Option - I really liked this hostel. However, there was no door to separate the bathroom from the bedroom - only a curtain. Thankfully there was a bathroom upstairs too but it was a little bit awkward not having a door. But our room had air conditioning! And there was an amazing view from the roof. We sat up there and watched the sunset while drinking beer. The location is right where the boardwalk begins.
- Hugo (10/5): Inexpensive and wonderful! - The big thing about this place is their staff. Monica and. Santiago were very helpful to me. They speak good English, and they are available. Can cook your own meals easily, large common room.
The view is amazing from the roof (and from the 3rd floor room I guess ) and the hotel is downtowns d very close from the centro (restaurant, malecon, central place, local beaches). The room was not expensive at all and my 3 nights here were quiet, except we can hear the pirate boat at 9:30, which we don't hear that much because of the A/C or the fan !
I strongly recommend this for solo, couple or even families (There's rooms with more than 2 beds) who wants to be in the centre of things but sleep in the quiet without taking a transportation ! One little thing : there is stairs to go up the main entrance but hey ... The view will shorten your breath way more than the stairs , trust me !!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok hostel - This hostel wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. First off, the hostel was a little difficult to find, since it is on a hilly street where cars cannot drive up. After finding it, we went to check in where the staff tried to convince us to upgrade to one of their best rooms for a slight price increase. They were persistent but we declined. I mean, we're only there to sleep, really. The hostel itself felt very empty and there were nights where it felt like we were the only guests. It was slightly eerie. The wifi signal was nearly non-existent if you stay in any of the lower rooms facing towards the street. The private double-bed room was small, but it did have AC so that was a big plus!
One thing that really irked me about the staff/how they run their operation was that when I tried to check out a day earlier than what I booked they told me that they couldn't refund/reduce the price. I would have to pay for all 5 days even if I only stayed for 4. They claimed it was because I booked through Expedia, and Expedia charges them fee's. However, when I booked on Expedia I didn't make any payments or deposit on the actual website. They got their deposit through Paypal. Very sketchy.
Other then that, it was an OK stay.
- mmc (8/5): A good basic stay - We stayed there in sept. 2015. The really friendly staff welcomed us after climbing a ”few” stairs. Make sure you roadworthy;) Early check in was no hassle at all, the room was clean but only one power socket isn't sufficient today. Worth mentioning is the overpowered air-condition, it manages freezer like temperatures if desired. Nice view down the street and to the sea, which is about 3 min walk.
- Verified traveler (2/5): staff attempted to rob me at 3am - i woke up at 3am to a staff member in my room going through my bag. He then told me that he was there to tell me another guest was looking for me. The manager was also sleeping in the hotel that night. Not sure if they are working together or not, but she seemed genuinely upset at what had happened. The next day I was offered a refund (actually 8 pesos less than what I had paid) for my remaining 2 days, which I had prepaid upon my arrival. I accepted the refund and went to another hotel for my last couple days.
- robin (10/5): Wonderful Stay, Stunning View, Warm Staff - I go to Vallarta often and this was the best bay view ever. The bed was good, the sheets and towels soft. The soap was unique, I want to buy it. There was no AC, only a fan but that was enough. No TV, no phone and no mirrors, which I loved. I made tea in the communal kitchen and used their filtered water avoiding plastic bottles completely. My room set up, number 12, had a bathroom without walls so it's best for a solo traveler or an intimate couple. I'm in my 60's and felt comfortable here.
