Guest Reviews
- Timothy (5/5): Clean room poor wifi - Close to owntown Wifi kept dropping
- Aaron (4/5): I wasn't expecting a lot; I got less. - Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was quite literally falling apart. The bed frame wasn't entirely connected. The curtains were missing a number of hooks and too long to work with the air conditioner so were just tucked into the window sill. There was no hot water at the sink, just two knobs of freezing water. The "closet" was an armoire type missing its doors and with enough water damage (?) that the bottom was rotting away and the sides were coming off. The mattress was extremely worn out with hills and valleys that determined where you could lie on it. The locals liked to wander through the parking lot with boom boxes (yeah, real ones with the speakers and all). The reviews and scores were not the best, so in a way I asked for this. But at a price of $100+ a night, it is plain robbery.
- Richard (2/5): - Close to areas of interest. A violent part of town.
- Robert (1/5): Nice staff but homeless and drug - Location was easy on and off All the drug sales going on felt very unsafe
- Richard (2/5): Don't come! - Centrally located. Drug users everywhere. Drug deals being made in parking lot below my window. OD'd or perhaps dead body out back. Flat out horrific environment.
- Desta (5/5): -
- Kathryn (1/5): Sure wished I had gone elsewhere. - What breakfast? The receptionist at check-in was great. The room was large. The air conditioner eventually caught up. Lots of poop on the toilet seat, some mystery substance in the shower. Room was 88 when we entered after 8 pm. No washrags, no ice maker, dirty ice cube tray, smallest bath towels I have ever seen.
- Sunny (1/5): -
- Lisa (1/5): WORST ever!! - The price point was lower than other places, but HAD BED BUGS, the condition of the rooms here horrible and the location I was told, by my UBER driver, was in the worst/ most dangerous two blocks in Spokane! I should be able to get my money back!! BED BUGS!!! Worst hotel room I have ever stayed at! Drapes falling down, missing items, DANGEROUS, drug infested area!!
- Kyle (10/5): Fantastic - Excellent price value
- Maryellen (8/5): - No, breakfast was not offered.
- Raziel (10/5): Nice staff - Clean
- Dana (2/5): - It was disgusting. The two employees there are horrible. The room smelled of urine, no screens on the windows and they were not even on track. The bed linen was dirty with stains and I was told that they ran out of linen so it would be a while to get clean linen because they had to wash some. There was no hot water and it was just nasty! I checked in at 5pm and checked out at 8 pm. They would not give me a refund due to all sales being final. I don't know what to do next in the way of getting a refund but I can warn off any potential people staying there.
- Cameron (10/5): - Great staff
- Nathan (2/5): - Staff was helpful and nice but there was not staff available all the time. Room was not clean (hair and grime throughout). Water pressure was over the top making a shower with no pressure adjustment uncomfortable. The main parking lot has multiple large trash containers in it causing a smell when you leave your room. Many transients loitering in the parking lot/property and on neighboring properties. Primary food was a gas station. Restaurant across street was good but small so it took a bit to get a seat on a Sunday morning.
- Vaughn (5/5): -
- Hugh (10/5): - Rooms, were clean friendly staff!
- Christopher (8/5): - Nothing
- Christopher (10/5): - It was quiet
- Nicholas (2/5): - Terrible property. No smoking signs everywhere but our room had cigarette burns everywhere in the carpet. Very uncomfortable bed with flat empty pillows. Very dirty carpet. Most of electronic outlets didnt work. People outside our room were digging through garbage bins. We felt very unsafe. Staff very unfriendly. When we got there, lady was smoking right outside of the door and then proceeded to tell us we will get a fee if we smoke 20 feet within the property. Treated us likke an inconvenience since we interrupted her smoking with her friend. Scary looking people wandering through parking lot at night. Our room smelled bad. No refunds available so we were stuck. Towels had stains on them. Horrible place, should be shut down.
- Katelynn (10/5): - Very friendly and affordable
- Lukaea E (10/5): - Carpet dingy stained bed bugs
- Vaughn (10/5): - The rose has comfortable and when you need to rest they respect that and all the employees have respected me and make sure I stay or till they stand up and safety thank you
- Brandon (10/5): - Nice people, clean rooms
- Carlos (10/5): - Thank you for a clean, affordable stay with courteous and professional accommodations.
- Cheri (2/5): Was glad it had door lock; will never stay here again. - They were cheap and my son was unexpectedly stranded in Spokane for the night by Greyhound not making his connection. It had a lock on door. Terrible, flat pillows. Wouldnt let me pay for my sons room by phone. Spokane itself is overrun with addicts but Tiki Lodge is in middle of bad area. The front desk person definitely hated her job, there was a passed out, drug user sleeping in a parking spot, and within 20 minutes of being in room, a person was banging on our door, wanting in, obviously not in right mind, and insisting his friend was in room with us. My advise: Pay more; go to place away from here!
- LESLIE (2/5): - This should not be listed on Expedia. Very dirty room lights did not work. Lobby is permanently closed, had to ring bell and they handed keys through tiny bullet proof window.
- nicholas (8/5): Average - Average hotel. Seemed clean. Office lady was nice
- Eileen (8/5): - Good room, have small dog. Worked well. Took dog for walk— Scarry- some homeless people hanging around on back side of motel
- Alejandro (10/5): - I love the staff there.
- Kory (10/5): - No comment.
- Anthony (10/5): Felt safe - It was nice to know that there was security there in that area a lot of homeless people but actually very safe place to go
- Ross (4/5): - Not a nice place to stay
- Shannon (2/5): - The table was broken, the ac was broken. Like the front literally came off and fell to the ground.
- Rion Lee (10/5): - The check in was smooth, the property manager was authentically professional and was able to answer my questions. I will definitely stay at this place again.
- Randal (2/5): - I booked at the last minute on a Saturday night, and this was the cheapest accommodation I could find that had any space left in Spokane (which is always a red flag). When I arrived, I saw what looked like working girls leaving the hotel. After that, a car kept cruising through the parking lot and stopping whenever a few individuals approached. I don't know if transaction were happening, but it didn't give me confidence that my motorcycle would be there in the morning. So, I stripped off my panniers and put my locks on the bike. I also left my front curtain open slightly to keep an eye on it. The hotel can't do anything about the area that it's in, but it seems like they didn't really try to keep it clean. I ate at a local eatery that was a block away called
- Arian (6/5): - I travelled on a budget and alone,so things that I would otherwise consider when booking with spouse, like cleanliness, amenities, were not at the top of my list.
If you are used to a certain level of comfort, cleanliness, noise - this is not for you.
If you have kids, any age, this is not the spot.
Eg. there was no sink in the bathroom, the sink was in the room where the bed is.
In summary, if you are a guy, travelling alone, on a budget, this might be for you
- SELFY SUSANA (6/5): - It is a good place to stay for a night, and it is safe for you to travel alone. I don’t like the customer service because of the service I got.
- William (2/5): Horrible - There were people bbqing in the parking lot, broke down vehicles, homeless people beside the property. I felt like i might catch something if i slept under the sheets. Worst hotel ive ever stayed in.
- Priscilla (8/5): - Great location. Room rate was reasonable.
- Jon (8/5): A Property that Shows its Age - This is an older property on the edge of downtown in an area that has street people (I do not know if they are homeless.) The location was great, and there are some good restaurants within a few blocks. The property is showing its age, and can use some repairs.
- Michael (2/5): - They asked me for a separate deposit after I had gotten there that they never returned for a room that had a ladder. The bathroom light didn’t work. The fan didn’t work in the bathroom. It was still under construction. They had a ladder in there some tools some other stuff and we stayed in there still kept the $40 deposit that we had to put down absolutely one of the worst days that I’ve ever had
- Jack (5/5): Served it's purpose - Ease of registration. The bed was very uncomfortable. I wouldn't give it to a homeless man. Need to get better mattress, a lot better.
- Jeffery (10/5): - This is a good place to stay. Even when your here long term.
- Irene (2/5): Not Honest Business People - The 2-night stay was prepaid, but they wanted an additional $40 at check in.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Clean rooms, clean property, decent rates. Nothing fancy, but well worth the price!
- Allan (10/5): - Older establishment, however clean and great staff. The area of town has homeless and shady people hanging around
- Jeffery (10/5): - Awesome experience
- Jeffery (10/5): - Awesome value!
- Jeffery (10/5): - Clean rooms, clean property
- Jeffery (10/5): - Good spot for the price
- Jeffery (10/5): - Awesome staff here at the Tiki! Great people, good rates, clean rooms..what more could ya want?
- Jeffery (10/5): - Secure place for long term residential needs.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Great property for the price!
- Donna (2/5): - I have bed bug bites something awful
- Paul (4/5): - I got bitten by bedbugs. This hotel has reviews online about them recently and likely an ongoing problem that they don't address
- Jeffery (10/5): - Great property for the price
- Jeffery (10/5): - Considering some of the other "inexpensive "properties in Spokane, this is the cleanest, and best staffed property.
They do the best that they can...and it shows!
- Jeffery (10/5): - An amazing property. It's a bit old and ragged, but things are constantly improving.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Great place for long term needs. It's a good property, run by great staff.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Keep on keeping on. This is an inexpensive option to other hotels.
- Katelynn (6/5): - I like everything besides the fact they don't have coffee machines and there carpet was super dirty and smells like wet dog but other than that it was a good stay
- Jeffery (10/5): - A great place to stay for the price paid.
- Jeffery (10/5): - Amazingly done, as always. Very grateful to the staff of the motel.
- Crystal (10/5): - Checked in late and the night person had me already checked in and just needed ID. Was great to be able to just get my key and go to my room.
The bed was wonderful and above expectations.
- Verified traveler (2/5): The worst place ever - Filthy unprofessional and will not return and if I can give a no star, I would
- Eileen (10/5): - Great low price stay for a night.
- Gene (6/5): Tiki weakie - good place if you need to sleep - The Tiki did not acknowledge my coming
- Lahra (10/5): - Accessible
- Vince (3/5): For the money, go ahead but if you value sleep then this is not it - Location and price It’s hella loud, literally the train tracks is behind the motel. And it’s not double window so you’re gonna hear them like every 30 minutes passing through
- Miguel (2/5): - I got there on saturday night, the room was DISGUSTING!!!! there were brown spots on the bed, the pillows were dirty, I was very tired but I decided to leave this place, just a few minutes after I arrived because I was affraid on getting sick there, I request for a refund but they refused to do it. AWEFUL experience, I gave them 1 star becasue that was the lowest but this place deserves to be rated MINUS 10
- Cassandra (1/5): We didn't end up staying. - It was a rough neighborhood. Was glad to hear they had security at night. The room was so gross, stains everywhere, white residue everywhere, a refund was not given as an option.
- Rodriguez (8/5): Very good -
- Alena (2/5): - Not great place to stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough - Ive stayed here a couple times. Staying in the summer is a risk because the AC is not good. But it's a bed. If all you plan to do is just sleep here it's perfect. The pillows are really flat though. So it has it's ups and downs.
- debbyd418 (2/5): Horrific - This room was disgusting. We get in to the room. The bed was not made. No sheets to be seen. Smelled of urine. The bed had been peed on several times. And the pillows were also pee stained. Carpet looked like it was outside for about a year. Very dirty. This place made my skin crawl. We didn’t want to touch anything. There was blood splattered on the walls. Bathtub looked like someone cooked a few batches of meth in it.
Save yourself the misery. Don’t stay here.
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Madison (2/5): - Dirty rooms, dirty sheets, unhelpful front desk staff
- Jacob (10/5): I'd stay here again. - The employees are awesome, very friendly and they look out for the people that stay here.
- Becky Sue (2/5): - We will never stay here again. This hotel
Is very questionable. Camera or not, it isn’t in a safe neighborhood. The bed has a foam cover and it was not possible to get a good nights sleep.
- Daniel (8/5): - Never any problems. The folks running this place are really nice.
- SUMMER (2/5): Just don't stay here. - Where do I start. Don't stay here. Security car is around at night and it's a old beater car with security written on the side. Guy looked tweaked out. The area is nice but that's all. Room was dirty as heck. Bed was funky. Holes in walls. You could tell the door to my room was kicked in at one point. Definitely sketchy.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlene (2/5): Horrible, horrible location stay away - The picture and information about this room was absolutely incorrect. My mattress was torn hard no screens on the window. There were tears in the curtains, stains on the comforter and sheets. It was absolutely disgusting. There was a toilet paper roll that had already been used when I called to ask for additional role the lady at the desk was very rude and did not want to bring it to our room nor did they wanna provide extra towels as we were there for five days for a volleyball tournament I would never recommend this room to anybody do not book. It’s disgusting. There’s a lot of homeless people around no service at all.
- John (10/5): A satisfied customer - The staff was friendly and caring fir my needs remembered me and did all the could to make my stay amazing I would return anytime and stay again
- Elannia (6/5): - Bloodstains on the floor and mold in the freezer. Overall still a fine place to crash after a festival and not too expensive
- Heather (10/5): - Room was clean and staff friendly.
- Kei (5/5): Passable -
- ZHIYUAN (4/5): - Terrible!!!
- FbksfbMama (10/5): - Everyone was very nice!
The room was so much bigger than we’d expected!
Our stay was very pleasant!
The Tiki Lodge was perfect for our needs!
We would stay here again for sure!!! 😃
- Grace (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE
My partner and I stayed last night and left today covered in bites. Room 205 but the whole place is disgusting. Not worth the money you will save.
- Tenley (8/5): - The property was good and fine but it’s lowkey scary if you’re a woman. Everyone but me and my friend was a man and they’re always lurking outside at night.
- Seth (10/5): - The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was clean and perfect!
- James (6/5): - It was disgusting
- Carrie (10/5): - They seemed to be like a family running the property and we're very nice and friendly
- Desiree (8/5): Very good -
- Gina (10/5): Happy dayz - They work with you and ask in advance to help clean room on extended stays. Close to downtown
- Joseph (10/5): - Staff was very friendly
- Kevin (2/5): - I am sher that gave me bed bugs
- Aaron (6/5): Shity at Tikka lodge - Staff leaves you alone! Broken chair, under bed nasty
