reginal_losangeles (10/5): Affordable hotel w/caring staff and good housekeeping - The General Manager Tim is the most attentive, helpful, enthusiastic, and considerate hotel staff member I've ever met, and I've stayed in luxury hotels. He really cares about the guest experience. All the staff is warm and welcoming, which makes a huge difference. My king bed mattress was much more comfortable than Sleep Inns I've stayed in on the east coast. The bed was perfectly made, clean, and fresh. In-room microwave and mini fridge were clean, modern, and worked well. The air conditioner is very effective. Well-lit and safe parking lot. Carpets are clean. Shower is much larger than other Sleep Inns I've stayed in. Unlike some hotels, all the A/C outlets worked, and I had plenty of convenient outlets to charge my iPhone, laptop, extra batteries, etc. Good lamp lighting and natural light from window. In-room wifi works well, and I was able to stream YouTube videos. They serve a free breakfast and even some dinner, but I was not available to check those out. My only notable wish is for nicer towels, as the towels were a bit thin and feel cheap. But the towels are clean and well-maintained. A great option for an affordable hotel.

I like this property and have stay here a few times. Only issue I have is the buffet needs to be monitored better. Last two times I stayed either the bacon was empty, bread or fruit and no one around to ask about it.

Yvonne (6/5): Extra charges - I was charged an extra $20.00 for arriving at 1pm. We just needed to leave our things and medication so it would sit in our car in the heat. The room was available, but charged an additional $20.00 without a receipt. Then the small room fridge had a broken piece laying inside the fridge that supposed to hold cans. We did not have can but a 1Liter of Sprite that we placed in fridge. I was called with numerous call and voice messages and finally returned call that the housekeeper found broken part in fridge. I kindly explained that piece was laying inside the fridge when we opened it. Report of the piece that was found laying inside the fridge would be reported to the supervisor. Call was ended.

Sara (10/5): Just right - We are quite pleased with our room. My husband and I are mobility impaired so we much prefer a walk in shower. Melinda called me to make sure of our needs, and upgraded our room to a suite to accommodate us. The suite is very comfortable, the bed is heavenly and everything very clean. My only criticism is the lack of grab bars in the bathroom. Thank you Melinda for the lovely stay.

Arturo (2/5): - I do not recommend this property. Certainly not worth the price paid. Avoid this staying here. It certainly left a bad impression of the town. Shame. Nothing to like, maybe that the breakfast included bacon. That was the only upside I saw. The property needs better day to day maintenance. Halls are poorly lit, and dusty. Walls need a fresh coat of paint. The room I was assigned needed to be better ventilated and there was obvious signs of high humidity such as rust on steel surfaces and mold stains on the curtains. The AC intake grille was dusty, as were the furnishings in the bath. Old, rusted fittings in the shower with mold beginning. The room had not been vacuumed and the carpet had several large stains that could be removed with a spot shampoo machine. The mini fridge was barely able to cool anything. The TV channels are, well, I don't watch TV, but my streaming stick was unable to connect to the WiFi, so it was useless. Overall, I feel robbed and only stayed because it was already paid for and LUCKILY I travel with disinfecting spray, wipes and disposable sheets, just in case. First time in years I have had to spend an hour cleaning and disinfecting a room.

Larry (10/5): - Liked pretty much everything about my stay. Breakfast was great. Only negative thing if I had to say was housekeeping knocking on my door at 10am when check out was 11am. I did have the do not disturb sign in the door too. When I opened the door what looked like a supervisor said she was checking if I needed anything?? I was checking out that day I didn’t need anything. Maybe if I stayed over but I wasn’t. Overall it was great stay and great value.

James (2/5): - When I arrived at the hotel I was told by the front end staff that my stay had been cancelled two days prior. Since I booked through Expedia I was not notified of the cancellation due to a over booking error between Choice Hotels and the third party (Expedia). After some frantic searching for an available room, the front end staff member was able to find a room due to a guest not showing up. The front end staff member did escort me up to the room to make sure it was “ready”, and it first glance it seemed ok. Once I settled into the room I noticed the floor had not been vacuumed, there were crumbs on the floor by the bed, an assortment of “debris” under the furniture, a dirty plastic fork on the floor by the bed, and later in the evening I discovered the room had fleas. I did not discover this until hours later around 4 am. I immediately packed up my bags, went down to the front desk and kindly asked to check out, and receive a refund for my stay. The front end staff was very apologetic once I showed proof of the room conditions I had taken with my phone and stated the manager would call me when she got in. I never received a call from the manager, when I tried calling back a few days later regarding the refund of charges, I called the hotel to speak with the manager. I was told she was on the other line, but would call me back. I have still not received a call from the manager, and I am disputing the charge on my cc for that stay.

Verified traveler (8/5): Easter 🐇 - The trip was good just some of the service at the desk was bad , whent to the front desk to ask question on why were we double charged and the morning girl refused to answer any question she refuse to look at my phone showing the charges all she kept saying was she didn't know why it happened, she didn't look it up on the computer then she hands me a printout on the charges she did on my card which she didnt explain except it was charges for Saturday which I didnt get an explanation on it , next time I will pay with cash

Verified traveler (6/5): - We arrived late and were given a room that seemed dirty but really was just worn out. The air conditioner was making a noise I can only describe as sounding like an old fashioned alarm clock. The toilet seemed dirty but as we later found out it was just sediment in the water from the whole property having their water shut off earlier that day. A simple heads up about the water when we checked in would have avoided us thinking the toilet was dirty. We were offered a different room since I wouldn't be able to sleep with the clanking air conditioner and were upgraded to a suite. The suite was nicer since it didn't seem to be as worn out/ used as much probably due to the higher price of that type of room. My only complaints about that room were that the AC didn't seem to take the humidity out so it was damp all the time which is probably why there were mold issues in the bathroom. We also heard a vacuum at 11pm in the hall and adjacent room that would have woken is up if we had been asleep. The staff needs to wear uniforms or at least matching Tshirts because the whole time we were there we couldn't tell who was staff and who was a guest. All this to say we will probably stay elsewhere next time.

Invisibl3Kid (10/5): Hidden Gem - Great location when can’t find a good location in SA. Friendly front desk staff. Clean rooms. Parking lot is safe and lighted. Refrigerator in the room. There’s a Walmart nearby. And places to eat. SA is about 30 mins away. Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed Friday and Saturday night. Friday night we had to call the front desk because they were having a party in the room next to us. r0germp (2/5): Fathet - This was our second visit to this hotel, didn’t rate the first one, even though there were problems then. We arrived on April 7 and our carpet had what appeared to be dirty boot tracks and the carpet and stairwells were filthy, looked to be untouched for a long while. We were there as our son had passed away on the 6th. We were gone out of the room all day on the 7th, returned late that evening and our room had not even been cleaned, had to go to the front desk and ask for fresh towels just to shower. Would be a nice hotel, but seems to be poorly managed. Will never stay there again...
Bradley (4/5): Stanky and Poor Quality Everything - This place is a dump. Very dirty and very worn around the edges. There were muddy boot prints on the carpet in my room and the whole place smelled like a damp work boot. The drain in my bathroom stank too. Poor quality towels, toilet paper and toiletries. I went down to enjoy the breakfast and it consisted on 3 cups of cherry yogurt in a small fridge on a counter. Also there were mud clots and dirt balls all over the lobby in the morning.

Liz (6/5): - Our Bathroom was not clean, a used towel was hanging on the shower door. Yuk! The bathroom must have been worked on and was not completed. Wall were not painted, which made me really think what else is wrong with the bathroom. Then I left an expensive deep tissue massager, I called to retrieve it. They clam they did not see it. My husband went back 3 times to ask for the cleaning people to be questioned. They were at no help! Do not leave anything behind! They are not to be trusted!!!!

Caitlyn (2/5): Roaches, Rude Staff, Lazy Housekeeping - The front desk clerk during the night shift, Leticia, was never smiling or happy to see anyone walk through the door. I was at this location for 3 miserable nights. My TV in my room did not work for 2 nights, after I had politely asked for it to be fixed two days in a row. Third night I was there the TV was working, finally. The sink in my room was clogged so bad that I could not wash my face and brush my teeth within 10 minutes of each task. I also asked for this to be fixed two nights in row, but it was never fixed. Housekeeping is a complete joke at this hotel. My sink was never cleaned while I was there for the 3 nights. I had to wipe my sink out every day, since the clog was never fixed and housekeeping was not doing their job either. There were 5 small roaches, commonly known as German roaches, in my bathroom. I have pictures on my phone, that I planned to show the manager. Whenever I checked out at 5:30AM to head out to the job site the front desk girl, Sandra, was polar opposite of Leticia. She was kind and greeted me with a smile. She was unable to print a receipt for my stay, but took down my email address and phone number. She told me that a manager would be calling me later that morning and that they would also email me a receipt. The manager NEVER called me to discuss my issues. They did email me my receipt, but completely disregarded calling me. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. Choice Hotels corporate should investigate this location immediately.
ENA (10/5): Great place!! - Very clean, very friendly staff, and great breakfast. I have stayed at other places in the area and this place is by far one of the best. I reccomend this place for anyone traveling to the Pleasanton/Jourdanton area it is close to everything.

gerri (8/5): A+ except for foul smell - The front desk did a great job of correcting any issues or concerns. They were very accommodating with any of my needs. Though beyond the control of the front desk is the mold smell throughout the hotel. The smell of urine and mold in the hotel hallways was nauseating. Again this is beyond control of the front desk. Issues such as these are handled through the city or State of Texas OSHA

We traveled with two chihuahuas and the noise level was low enough they were never barking to alert us of people in hall

Kirby (6/5): It was ok. - Wasn't terrible but wasn't great. Pull out mattress was terrible and the frame wouldn't lay flat. There was an old orange under the couch. The staff on duty was rude when asked for a pillow and sheet for the pullout.

Linda (8/5): - This was my first stay at Sleep Inn & Suites. The overall experience was very pleasant. The only issues I had were that the floors in my room did not appear to have been vacuumed and the bathroom floor did not appear to have been cleaned. The refrigerator was noisy as well. I left my comments at the front desk to let them know. They may not have been aware that the cleaning crew was being a little lazy. The bed was extremely comfortable and they had a great breakfast selection. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous.

Laura (10/5): Clean & Friendly Hotel - This was our second time staying at this hotel. The first time was in August 2016. The hotel is very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly! The hotel room was in excellent condition! In fact, it was so clean that I moved a lounge chair one afternoon and noticed that it had been recently moved and vacuumed under! The hotel staff was very accommodating and attended to our every need! We did not take advantage of the free breakfast because there is an incredible restaurant just down the road - within walking distance. We only had one complaint. The washing machine in the self-service laundry area needs a deep clean, or replaced, as our clothes came out smelling like cigarette smoke and urine after they had been washed. Other than that, our stay was wonderful! The staff made us feel at home. We were in a safe neighborhood and just down the road from restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and I am 100% confident that I will be staying here on our next visit to Jourdanton, Texas.
922brittanyj (10/5): Great experience! - Check in was easy and quick and the front desk lady was very nice. Great rate for a very clean and nice hotel. They have a free hot breakfast with sausage, bacon, and eggs among all the other things you would find with a free continental breakfast. I love that the front desk is open 24 hours as we arrived to town a little after midnight and were able to get a room without having a reservation. It was quiet and we had absolutely no issues or problems. We highly recommend this hotel!

Jennykotzur (8/5): Hurricane Harvey Evacuation - Fantastic stay all around. Stephani the manager was compassionate, professional and responsive. She even gave us the paperwork to waive hotel taxes for our stay without us telling her we were evacuees. The place was packed - but pristine. They served a hot breakfast and had HBO for my Game of Thrones finale. It was a stressful life experience that was eased by this hotel. Plus it's brand new and dirt cheap. There's another hurricane Irma trying to form. If it or any other storm develops I will choose Sleep Inn in Jourdanton immediately. Did I mention the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies? Did I mention they did everything possible to make sure we could stay as long as needed - without us telling them we were evacuees? Clearly they noticed our zip code - but how considerate is that?! Thank you Stephani and staff!
simfantx (8/5): Nice Hotel - Nice stay, quiet. Spacious room with desk, fridge. Loved the walk in shower, much better than a boring tub. Helpful front desk clerk, even with non-room related things. Good variety for breakfast. Very nicely furnished/decorated lobby/eating area.
tazmachine69 (8/5): Weekend Getaway - The room was spacious as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable as was the chair. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The only thing lacking at this hotel is they do not have a pool or hot tub. The environment and decor of the hotel was very relaxing. The breakfast area was spacious and inviting. The only issue we had the whole weekend was on Saturday when we went to breakfast there was very little food available, but we asked staff and she promptly made more. The breakfast was better and had more variety on Sunday as well. Would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
barbarat353 (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised - This hotel is quite nice and is either new or newly renovated. The room was spacious and had a very large bathroom with a shower (rather than a tub/shower). Wifi was fast, but due to stormy weather, we lost our TV signal for a short time. The breakfast area is quite large, but the breakfast itself was a disappointment…not a great variety. There were many dining options...from sit-down restaurants to fast food. Be aware this hotel is approx. 8 miles off I-37, but is worth the drive…especially considering there aren’t many (if any) options on the interstate.
PJBailey8 (10/5): Amazing Hotel, Great Staff, & Wonderful Breakfast.. - This by far is the best hotel I have stayed in the Pleasanton/Jourdanton area. It by far is one of the newest/cleanest hotels. And when shopping around, the pricing couldn't be beat. Staff was more than accommodating & I will definitely be staying here anytime I travel to the area.
LeannL836 (10/5): Last minute stay - Due to bad weather we didnt have power for a few hours at home so we decided to find a hotel in the area for the night. We checked a few places and this was by far the best price. The room was clean, a good size and had comfortable beds. The complimentary breakfast was great with plenty of options for the family. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in town.
164mikew (6/5): Dripping air conditioner condensing water from upper floor bother night sleep - This is a new hotel in town and I think the management is try very hard to maintain the hotel to be the best in town. The price was increadible good and must give the high score for the breakfast. But the dripping air condition condensing water from upper floor really bother the night sleep.

camlj62 (8/5): Great stay for the price - This hotel is newer and is very well kept. The rooms are decent sized and it has good amenities. They sometimes have an evening reception for guests with food and drink so that was nice. The breakfast is lacking in my opinion, but overall a great stay for the price.

Greeted by very friendly receptionist and given a 'Welcome pack' with water, crisps, etc. Very tasteful room with comfy beds and pristine bathroom. Good selection for breakfast and even the offer of a free meal on arrival ( which we didn't accept) Will definitely look for Sleep In Hotels again.
