- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful Resort - Our family of 4 were in town for a wedding and stayed for two nights. We swam, golfed and used the walking map to navigate the roads within the resort for exercise. Treadmills in the workout room were out of order. The golf course was amazingly designed and immaculately maintained. Carts were great with modern gps mapping. The resort and rooms were well maintained and clean.

- Misty (10/5): - The view of the golf course was INCREDIBLE! So peaceful and quiet! We loved sitting on the deck and watching the golfers. The room was nice, clean, and large. We really liked the coffee bar area. The location was perfect! It was a 5min drive to Ha Ha Tonka park, the caves, and Camdenton. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Camdenton!

Not too bad if the weather is nice but problematic if the weather is bad. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

The pillows are flat and you are only give 2 per bed and we had 4 guest in one room. We asked for another and was told no. Over all it is a beautiful resort but for staying less than 24 hours it is not worth the money.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful Property! - Check-in was quick and easy. Our King room (102) was clean, a/c was fantastic, bed was comfortable, large TV, mini fridge and coffee maker. The hotel was tired and needs a bit of updating. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent! LOVE their signature Sweet Onion Salad Dressing…I bought 3 bottles! The grounds are beautiful! The cottages on property are adorable!
- Brooke (10/5): Remote but solid hotel option - Overall, hotel was good given there aren't many decent hotel options in this area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Seems to be fairly newly renovated. Very basic room and bathroom, but clean and well kept. We found the mattress to be very firm and uncomfortable. Onsite restaurant - Trophy Room - was nice and food was good. The location is remote and a bit far from many things in the main areas - about 20-25 min drive - but it was fine for us. We came for a show at the nearby Ozarks Amphitheater and the hotel offered a $20 shuttle. Check beforehand to reserve as seats are limited.
- Heidi (10/5): We will be back!! - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Kinderhook. Very self sustaining, meaning, breakfast, lunch, dinner all available on the property. Great salt water pool. Great cabana. The golf course looked great, we don't golf, but I was told by several other guests that it is a great course. Also, I loved having a full vanity in the bathroom. Gave me places to put my bathroom items instead of all over the counter. There were a couple of negative things howeber, the first, in the shower, there was only a little soap tray that fit only 2 small bottles. All of my shower items needed to be put on the floor, Also, the shower is not very woman friendly. No place to put your foot to shave your legs. The other item is that we wanted our room cleaned, but when we returned, the bed was barely made, they did not vacuum, they only laid new towels on our bathroom counter, they did not take the old towels. However, when we first arrived, the room was extremely clean, so maybe we did not give them enough time to clean thoroughly.

I will say when I found the charge of $15 for Resort fee and then found an envelope for a tip for the maids, I was disgusted! Resort fees are an insult to anyone’s intellect. If you’re not brave enough to put your price right up front, hiding extra charges in Resort field is just infuriating! I will never stay here again.

- Monica (6/5): - Good location for access to Ha Ha Tonka. Room was just fine. Hallway reeked of cologne or body spray. As if they spray it on the carpets to cover up smells. Made me feel ill. Thank goodness I the room did not smell of it. Food services are in other buildings, so it's not so easy to run and get breakfast. Ended up bringing our own food in so we didn't have to waste extra time commuting to get breakfast. Microwave and mini fridge were in the room. Not bad but nothing to write home about.
- David (10/5): Best staff ever! - Our stay at Old Kinderhook was to attend a weekend wedding. Unfortunately we could only stay for two nights--wish it could have been much longer. We have stayed in many hotels and resorts through the years but have never experienced the personalized service that we got from the entire staff af Old Kinderhook. We booked on hotels.com (never again) and discovered at check-in that there was a serious error made on our reservation. The Old Kinderhook staff went way beyond what would normally be done to help us get our problem corrected. We couldn't have fixed the problem without the help from the staff. This weekend stay was truly a great experience--and I'm not even a golfer!

- Gregg (6/5): - The setting is gorgeous. The facility is very nice. Very well maintained. We only encountered two staff people who were friendly and welcoming. Mostly, we felt like they didn't want to be bothered. Not a huge deal, because it is close by (within a block or so), but the restaurant and lounge are in a separate building. Just not real convenient when you've been in the car for ten hours.

I wanted to point out that the cost of tickets to the Bp museums has changed. There is now only one price. The manager was under the assumption that ticket prices were for different parts of the it. Therefore I missed out on the discount tickets offered. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
