Lo único para resaltar, es que al llegar te puedes confundir con la parte externa. Es algo oscuro en la noche y un area muy sola pero, al entrar al hotel, es muy hermoso y acogedor. Lo recomiendo al 100%.

Excellent value for the Money.

• Renai (8/5): - The Portal del Angel remains an overall a beautiful facility over the 17 that I have stayed here. My room had some significant water damage to the bathroom walls this stay though and a very creaky wood floor plank. Breakfast offerings are solid.

The gated entry door is dark and largely unmarked, but the security assistants were friendly and helpful. Excellent “price-performer” that was fun.

• David (10/5): - Excellent boutique hotel with very accommodating staff. Spacious, clean room with good bed and a bit too high tech TV (Staff always promptly came to my aid to adjust.) My limited dining experience was good. There is a beautiful pool and seating area. The location was a bit distant from my destinations, but the restful location is a plus. I actually slept with a window open vs air conditioning during part of my visit. A favorite.

Property does not advise/warn quests of the pending disturbance and flat out does not care that your stay is adversly impacted by the crowds and noise. Do NOT stay at this hotel if you want a good nights sleep.

• Maria Estela (10/5): This hotel is a gem - This hotel is a little gem. The staff is completely dedicated to guest's comfort. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the food is delicious. The only thing to consider is that the hotel is in a solitary street that can get quite dark at night.

So, I told them I was a little tired because of my fly, and told them that if it was posible to get in to my room knowing that I was early for my check in . I’m guessing bout 20 minutes after they let me in into my room. Thats what I call Customer Service. Love everything. And I highly recommend it. The best service over all.

What I did not like was the water coming out of the sink, too thin and too much pressure. This caused the water to splash and it was not comfortable to wash.
• Jennifer (10/5): Delicious Colonial Oasis in Tegu - Portal del Angel is EXQUISITE! It's tucked away on a street without much signage, so it's very easy to pass by if you don't know exactly where it is. Once the porteiro let me in through the gate, I was transported to this beautiful colonial gem! The vibrant colors and lenca pottery was well done and gorgeous. The pool is from another world and the food was amazing. Upon entering the hotel (more like a pousada or mini-resort) the young lady at the Front Desk was very helpful and called a bellman to help me with my luggage. He gave me a tour of the premises and showed me to my room, which was large and beautiful. It has a well appointed bathroom, comfy bed, and American (110v) power. I was hungry and went down to the restaurant. I had chicken/corn Honduran soup, which was delicious, and the Plato Tipico. A hearty portion of churrasco-style beef, beans, tortillas, and avocado. It was so good and much needed after a long day. The food was also fairly priced at USD$25! After a relaxing evening, I went to breakfast in the morning. There was a nice fruit and cereal bar that you could get a small plate from and then you order from a menu. I got the Honduran Breakfast (among 6 choices) and was so happy. It was delicious and would've cost nearly $30 at a breakfast restaurant in the US. I'm bummed I only got to spend one-night in this beautiful place, but was absolutely thrilled to happen upon this wonderful hotel. I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you Portal del Angel!
• David (10/5): Recommended. - An excellent choice for visitors. Beautiful decor which celebrates and reflects Honduran arts and history. Helpful and very accommodating staff with English speakers at the front desk. Food was excellent with bi-lingual menu. Bar service available. Excellent breakfast and snacks was in my rate. Hotel entrance and rooms were on multiple levels with lots of steps involved. Small pool in attractive courtyard. Hotel is tucked away in residential area - close via taxi to mall, etc. housekeeping was generally OK but rooms showed some wear and tear from usage. Like many hotels in Latin America, air conditioning was primarily fan power and room was warmer than my typical preference. Ovetall, I was very pleased and can recommend as an excellent value.
