Guest Reviews
- Troy (10/5): No ghost encounters while we were there. ;) - The proprietor was very personable and had a great sense of humor. He made sure that we had the exact room we wanted before we actually paid for our stay. Although adjacent to a major road, it was relatively quiet, probably because a winter storm was coming in. We like to get away from chain establishments when possible, and this was just a cool older place with history and some charm. Our room was clean, warm and the bed was just right for us- I would say the only detractor was the toilet was right up on the sink. If you had mobility issues, you would not be able to use the room we chose.
- John (8/5): -
- Laurie (10/5): - Room was very comfortable. N/A
- Amy (10/5): The was overall comfortable - The room had the feel of being at home The lights from the cemetery located across the road from the motel

- Timothy (10/5): The place was Magical, clean and the service was better than more hotels for sure!! - History form 1905 then motel in 1950.
Reminds me of homes in Buffalo my home town Liked everything
- Phillips (1/5): Bad - Location and tenant was nice The room was very outdated and seen signs of bedbugs and I feel like this was addressed before I went and talked to him. He was polite and gave our money back because we did not stay. He did mention that is why I showed you the room first. Your not going to see bedbugs unless you look for them..
- Suzette (6/5): - Lot of traffic noise, room door did not seal well. While room was clean, and bed was comfortable, some updates and upkeep would be good.
- Tyler (10/5): Great owner - Owner was extremely nice and the rooms were a great price
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Don (7/5): Good -
- Kristi (10/5): - This motel is in the historical district of Bedford. This is the only place ever, i was shown available rooms, and got to choose. The rooms were clean and inexpensive. The rooms had a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed seems comfortable. The man that checked me in today was very helpful and kind.
- Tom (10/5): - Affordable and comfortable motel. Very friendly host who showed me around before he charged me for the room to make sure I was happy. A great affordable pitstop for a roadtrip.
- Natalie (6/5): - Well it’s just an old building but it could easily be fixed up and definitely cleaned better . A very musky smell . The staff was very friendly
- Scott (8/5): Very good - Convenient and great price!
- Diane (8/5): - I appreciated the desk clerk showing us the room before we committed to register. He wanted to be sure we would be satisfied with it before paying. The room was clean, though somewhat dated.
- Ruthann (10/5): - Jay showed us our room and was very pleasant
- Meridy (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and cozy and the staff was super friendly and helpful extremely professional!!!!!!
- Meridy (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was really helpful and professional and the room was clean and extremely comfortable
- Alan (8/5): Good value - Location and value
- Warren (5/5): Very disappointed! - Jay, the manager was very nice and helpful; offered to help carry our bags in. This property is very old and dated. After reading some of the positive reviews, we were quite surprised by the reality. The room and the bathroom were very small and cramped, only reached up a narrow, wood staircase to the second floor. Temperature was not easily controlled. The bed was okay, but neither of us slept very well. There was almost an element of creepiness to the place.
- Carol S (10/5): - Manager was gracious and showed us the room. He made awesome dining recommendations at Mammas and Pappas just down the street
- ELLEN (10/5): - Excellent customer service
- Jo (7/5): Pleasant - good value - Hospitality Noisy AC
- Agusdanar (7/5): I like it for my work silent I love it -
- Tweet54 (8/5): nice over night - Clean rooms, bathroom easy to load and unload vehicles, park right in front of room Smell was musty in 1st room, and a/c didn't work very well
- Truhart (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): - Met me with a smile. Took me to see the room before checking in. Just a great place to lay your head on the way through. Will stop again
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Helena (10/5): A nostalgic time-travel stay - Where should I even start? We checked in there, mostly because of the chaos I caused and the fact I booked the wrong hotel and had to find another place to stay immediately. Rosemount Motel happened to have an available room on the same day at 5 pm.
From the moment we stepped into the place, my fiance and I adored it! The music playing in the lobby gave off a very nostalgic vibe, as the flower pattern curtains, and the PC placed by the window with internet access at a certain time, made us feel like we were kids again. The staff - a nice lady behind the counter - made us feel welcome and made sure we knew everything there was to know about state parks and caverns we wanted to see. The view of the cemetery from the office window gave another impression we loved. All these things together gave a Twin Peaks-like impression, we fell in love with it instantly.
Our room was clean, there was everything we needed while staying the night. We regretted we had to leave the next morning. The rooms have AC, the wifi works well. There is free parking, so we could park at the doors of our room. And what is important - the price. The room was super cheap and it exceeded our expectations. There is no such thing! We will definitely be back, whenever we have an opportunity to repeat the trip down south. We loved the place!
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawna (8/5): Very good - The owner was so friendly and accommodating. Made me feel welcomed and at home. Great location . And comfy bed .
- Whisenant (4/5): Disappointing -
- Angela (10/5): - The person that checked me in was super friendly and welcoming. Took me to check out my room before he allowed me to check in to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and needed. Will stay again
- Cuauhtemoc (8/5): Very good -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Jeremy (9/5): The staff went above and beyond. A great place for a no frills stay!! - The location was convenient and the price was right. The room was comfortable and warm.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Sunshine (7/5): Good -
- Judy (9/5): Superb -
- Grace (8/5): Very good -
- Mendoza (10/5): Excellent stay, I would recommend it for others. Definitely staying here again if I’m in town again. - Friendly staff, clean rooms, and easy to find. For me the parking spaces could’ve been a bit wider, but its not bad. Still a great place to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Could be better, could be worse - The hotel was very cool from the street with a vintage appeal. Our room was pretty outdated, beds weren’t the greatest (but not the worst either), the shower was fairly small, cheap & very basic towels (some stained)......but the tv was newer and had a million channels. The highlight of our stay was the man who greeted us at check-in. He was SUPER friendly and very energetic, so nice that I hate to leave bad remarks about the lodging itself. We wouldn’t go out of our way to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean, older but sufficient for spending a couple of nights. The bathroom was the newest the only negative is the lighting is very bad. It was difficult to even shave in the bathroom....Staff great..No problems..Would stay again if needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location. Price. No friendliness . Very clean for a 100 year old property.
- Cathy (6/5): - This looked like an old funeral home and we were in the basement which got no phone service or WiFi service. I think the casket storage area and embalming rooms were converted into motel rooms. The room was clean but you could tell it had not been a motel room orginally
- John (10/5): - room was great and easy to get to. the only flaw was that the pool wasn't ready for use lol just kidding, there was no pool, staff was great and friendly, i would stay there again if i was to come back and loved how the motel looked from the outside
- Jody (10/5): - This place was amazing from the people that owned it to the people that stay there loved it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is an old Victorian styled house turned motel. Though it's dated, it has been remodeled. Shower was a little wonky but very clean. We were shown the room first. Superior desk clerk. He even asked if he could carry anything up.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the price was very affordable.
- Ricky (4/5): You can polish a **** but it is still a ****! - Great desk clerk. Friendly service. Room was clean, but very old and in dire need of TLC. Bathtub wouldn't retain water, and the heater was extremely noisy!
- StevenC (8/5): - Surprisingly clean and affordable. Could not get the TV to work for other than the Food Channel. The manager went out of his way to be accommodating.
- Mark (8/5): Pleasant stay - The man at the check-in desk was very helpful and friendly. The internet connection was lost, a bit spotty. Nothing fancy, the room was comfortable but dated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was Clean. Friendly, nice. Quite place. Id stay thete again if i had to.
- Stephen (8/5): Stay Here! - Incredibly great price for a nice, adequate quiet rest!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cozy, staff was very friendly! Very attentive and strive to make your stay perfect!
- Michael (8/5): - It was a trip for a funeral to my hometown.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was super friendly and room was very clean.Conviently located by several restaurants. Heat worked well and several television channels to choose from. Even though located on main road the traffic noise wasn't a bother or heard.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint - Staff was polite and gave free room upgrade upon check-in. I asked questions and expressed concerns, he answered truthfully.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was my second enjoyable stay at the Rosemount. Both times I had a room in the historic main part of the hotel. The room was clean and very pleasant, the staff extremely nice and accommodating. The Rosemount is conveniently located and a truly unique lodging experience.
- Joe (8/5): - the room was all right I just have a hard time with stairs
- John (10/5): Small room but very nice - Short trip to visit a friend it was a nice trip people where very nice and made sure I was ok with the room.
- Matt (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating, very helpful, and the hotel was a great deal for its price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was so friendly and helpful. They showed us our room before we checked in to make sure we were satisfied with the room we were given. If we weren’t happy with the room, they would have given us another room or cancelled our reservation with no fee. It’s a great room for the cheap price. The room was clean, the mattresses were comfortable, and the room had a TV, fridge, and microwave. We had no complaints!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay there is bed bugs. - We turned down this room and stayed at a different hotel because this hotel had bed bugs so don't satay and take the chance of bringing it home with you.
- GLORIA (8/5): - The rooms were very clean.
- Jason (6/5): - overwhelming smell of moth balls
- Timothy (10/5): Vibe - It was a great atmosphere
- Rick (10/5): Wonderful experience and stay. -
This place was absolutely amazing!!! When my wife and I arrived and went to the front desk we got a welcome that we have never ever gotten anytime or anywhere in our 42 years together. The staff was so friendly and personal that my wife and I were totally astonished!!! The man that greeted us took us to our room and said that if we didn't like it he would not hold us to our reservation or charge us a cancellation fee so he made sure that we were satisfied with every aspect of the room before continuing the tour. We told him everything was great in the room and then he proceeded to make sure we understood how to use the tv remote and what each set of channels did such as each category of channels and their meaning. He also went on and recommended things to go see and places to eat in the area without us even asking him. Every time that he saw us he greeted us by name. We can't recall this friendly professionalism ever being done to us at any motel or hotel ever! If we go back to the area again we would definitely stay again and will recommend this to all of our acquaintances for sure.
- David (10/5): Beautiful historic landmark - I can't begin to describe how wonderful my experience was. I had needed to change my check in date and the manger was very accommodating. The staff was equally accommodating and very friendly. The main portion of the motel is in a 100 year old limestone clad private home as was the room I requested. It is an architectural gem with its detailed carvings. Two limestone lions guard the entrance and mark both streets adjacent to the motel.
- Mark (8/5): There for the game - The staff was awesome, the location was good, but the room reeked of moth balls.
- kara (10/5): Amazing staff - The gentleman who greeted us from the beginning was pleasant as could be! He showed us the room before we agreed, and showed us how everything worked. Once we agreed to stay he suggested tons of things to do locally and around Indianapolis, his service was excellent! The room it self was average decor but clean, cold a/c, tv, quiet, comfy bed! We enjoyed our one night had we been there longer we would've stayed there again! Highly recommended, especially for the cleanliness, and kindness of the owner! PS blue springs caverns are a must!
- Gregory (8/5): Budget Bedford - A one nighter. Small clean and comfortable.
- Bart (8/5): Good value in Bedford - Jay (the manager) was very friendly and accommodating. Nice in-town location and a good value.
- Brenda (8/5): - Location was good, bed was very comfortable. Great budget motel.
- Rob (8/5): Great value. - It was clean and comfortable. The building is over 100 years old, but is kept up. It is a great place to sleep when visiting the area.
- Timothy (8/5): Economical and clean - This is an historic hotel that has been added onto. We stayed in the added section. The room access is from the parking lot. The parking is behind the building and quite safe. We had no check in issues. In fact the clerk let us see the room before we committed to the stay. The room was clean and cozy. We needed a place for a couple of nights and this fit the bill.
- Cheryl D (8/5): Convenien,t Comfortable, Not Costly - I needed a room for the night. I was attending a square dance that evening. Did not need luxury just a place to sleep and take a shower. The people were friendly, the location convenient. Price was great.
