Karleen (3/5): Over paid & disappointed by cheap, run down, unclean hostel & wont be back. - Initially I was frustrated when I arrived about 10:20pm and whole building was locked & I had booked for a late check in ( around 9-10 pm) --and no one called me to let me know of the earlier hours. Nonetheless A kind staff person ( black girl) who had already left work for the night & went home---- was she willing to drive about 20-25 mins back to hostel to let me in/check in after normal hours (which I really appreciated) & she was also helpful with my luggage storage too. Not worth money for a dump! Old run down building & rooms & bath. Whole place needs total renovation. My small room had only a twin rickey bed with very thin rough bed sheet & flat pillow-- I was a cold & uncomfortable & slept in my clothes, because needed a warmer blanket, esp in March. There was also a junky thrift store cabinet in room & barely a window covering. Shared bathroom down the hall was nasty & there wasnt any soap or towels. The place reminded me of a sketchy half-way house for the homeless.

Porta do banheiro não fecha, pois a fechadura está com problema, iluminação ruim, horário de check-in são as 07:00pm, na descrição fala que podemos deixar as malas pagando uma taxa, chegando no local não tinha ninguém, apareceu um senhor dizendo que apenas as 07:00pm e não poderia deixar as malas, telefone deixado no app não funciona, mandei mensagem tbm pelo app sem resposta.

What I didn't like is there could have been a little more convenience when it comes to the amenities like a clean towel available for use and and coffee and cream stocked in the kitchen area which was not available.

The living room area is nice with comfortable couches. The place should be cleaned better. Towels or extra blanked could be provided. The kitchen is also very dirty.

Zhaohui (5/5): Be careful if you really want to book here - Located in between train station and airport, easy to access. Kitchen is big with all facilities. Check-in is very difficult, staff are not available at 4:30pm, you will not have a key to enter. The atmosphere inside is a bit strange.

CARLOS FERNANDO (5/5): Great location but lack of hygiene. - The hostel has a great location near to many place in little Italy. It was close to the airport and was easy to use the public transport. I liked the architecture of the hostel and the backyard. I recommend a permanent staff in the place to attend people and improve the hygiene. The room I stayed was not clean and I could see dust and little pieces of trash in the floor under the bed. I had the same sensation with the bed: the blanket seems not to be clean. The sink in the kitchen was clogged for the 6 days I stayed there, and the hostel smell like wet wood. Because of that I recommend to do a deep clean in the rooms with some sanpic or something like that. Besides I recommend to spray some insecticide because I saw several little cockroach. I think for one night it will be good, but for a hole week I would look for other place.

Feera (4/5): Niet schoon en vreemde vibe - De host was enorm vriendelijk en goed in staat om te dealen met het vreemde volk wat er rond liep. Het bed was niet schoon, er zaten vlekken en vieze haren op, de vlekken leken recent. Daarnaast zat de kamer direct aan een drukke weg dus kon het raam niet open voor frisse lucht. Het gordijn dat voor het raam hing, kon er maar deels voor omdat het niet groot genoeg was en dus werd je sochtends heel vroeg (5u) wakker van het daglicht. Er liep verder vreemd volk rond dat ook midden in de nacht nog flink in de weer was. Ik had gelukkig een éénpersoonskamer, want er liep veel vreemd volk die ik wellicht niet op de kamer had gewild..
Nicole (1/5): They are being reported for the major welts I now have all over my body. - BEWARE! BED BUGS! UNSANITARY CONDITIONS! Dishonest staff and owner both were very rude about their bed bug complaints and tried to convince me I had mosquito bites and that layers won't take my case. When I told both the manager and owner , who refused to give their names, I got a bad case of bed bug bites the second night of staying in their hostel (which is visibly dirty) they both gave me attitude , lied and said bed bugs haven't been reported in 5 years. However their reviews say something very different. I am reporting them immediately to the Sam diego health and environment agency. Horrible experience and on my dime BED BUGS! Unsanitary. No towels. No toilet paper. Horrible manager and owner.
Richard (8/5): Staff was amazing, room was exactly what was expected. - Very accommodating, lady at the front desk ( I can’t remember her name :( ) was phenomenal. Bathrooms were clean, room was clean, balcony had a ton of plants making it feel amazing. Balcony was fabulous. We just needed a private room/bed and have really started loving the local hostels. Nothing we didn’t “like.” Only things we could suggest are amenities….even for purchase, continental breakfast ish things, drinks for purchase…. Loved the place and staff. Not one bad thing to say.

Alejandro (6/5): It is what it is - For the location it was the cheapest place when I booked a month before. The woman at the front was really helpful and pleasant. Nice patio deck. The room was particularly small(not like I needed a ton of extra space but just keep in mind). The hot water took about 5 mins to get warm. There were ants on the bathroom floor coming from somewhere. No bathroom showers or hand towels and only one trashcan that was located in the bathroom. Really late check-in time compared to what other motels/hostels usually are, also parking is pretty tricky but I managed to find a spot right in front so just be on the lookout. So all in all if you just need somewhere to sleep and shower it will be sufficient but don't really expect much more than that.

Not any specific problem...... .....but like any hostel, or travelers hotel, there should be a requirement (or law) to have private walled off unit for guests that are lockable from the inside like some places have, or European countries have or offer like pods or cubicles separated and lockable to ensure safety while sleeping. Some people are not there for traveling or visiting the area and can/do steal, plug smartphones, cameras, thumbdrives into their laptops, use/alter their personal devices (to; search, instal stalkerware/malware, or corrupt/destroy their device forcing them to buy a new one, etc) or can take a guest's personal belongings, ID's, etc when innocently sleeping. It happens.

Verified traveler (2/5): One of the worst places I've ever stayed at! - Front desk staff took literally half an hour to check us in! We were just standing around waiting for them to determined the rate for the room we booked online, while they made phone calls to someone else trying to figure it out. Then they ended up charging us WAY more than the online rate we were expecting! No parking available but we got lucky and found a spot on the street. Old, dilapidated building. Shower sprayed all over the bathroom, outside the shower stall. Horrible street noise from constant street traffic and large airplane traffic going right overhead all night long and through the early morning. No building sound proofing. No A/C. Had to keep the windows wide open, no screens on the windows. Noticed a transient sleeping in the hallway when we checked out in the morning.

mark (6/5): Only if your desperate - As a hostel, it lacks that certain kindred spirit I find at most every other hostel I’ve stayed in. Mainly, I suspect because it’s in a part of town that has the homeless element ever present. Just my opinion, I probably wouldn’t stay there again if I could make other arrangements. If it was my only option the only way I’d consider it was if it was cheaper than the $50 I paid. More like a $20 a night spot imho
Omer (4/5): Disappointing - The bed is really uncomfortable and the space is loud (not the people, the street). The place is not very clean.
Helena (7/5): Be prepared for a bit of mayhem - Location is outstanding and the price is nice Staff seemed disorganized and confused when I commented it seems my room has had a visitor in it already. I received new sheets and was told it was unlikely I would have someone share the room. Well at 9PM, the door lock rattled and there was a very startled and embarrassed Chinese guy who didn’t realize I was in the top bunk!! We shared the room and he was so polite and courteous. Bathrooms were dirty and looked dingy, and the facility could use a remodel facelift. It was a place to sleep but I did not want to stay longer than necessary and left as soon as I woke up.
