Guest Reviews
- Dwite (10/5): - Parking in the lot is tight for pickups, but doable. Street parking is available. Staff is genuinely kind and helpful.
- Lena (10/5): Quiet, affordable, clean place to stay for 3 nights. - I had a comfortable, spacious room in this older, well kept hotel. Although there were few occupants at the time of my stay, it was quiet. This stay suit my needs.
- Bin (8/5): -
- Dan-yoh (9/5): Room in Taft - Large room with microwave and mini fridge. Bed was comfortable When I arrived at my room, there were no bath towels, wash cloths or shower towels. I had to show the receptionist that I wasn't lying since it was just across the hallway from check in.
- Diane (9/5): A fine place to stay when you’re in Taft! - The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a nice sitting area. The location worked well for us; we had a couple of birdwatching locations to visit in the area. It was very quiet and restful. They have beautiful roses in the outdoor spaces! There are good restaurants nearby; we really enjoyed a meal from El Cima.
- Murali (7/5): Good for one night. - Good location driving from San Jose to Death Valley. Room was clean and quiet. The shower was poor.
- Rubio (10/5): Gracias por su servicio - La ubicación y la limpieza y muy cómodo y buen precio Los parqueadero muy reducido
- roger (1/5): - I called ahead by several days to cancel and gave the conformation # and the pin which you gave me. I was talking to a woman and she told me the conformation # was right but the pin was wrong. I read your Email to her and she said it was not the pin that she had and unless I had the right pin she would not give me a refund. I told her I could not understand why she was being the way she was if your Email gave me the info than she should have had it too, Point blank, this is not a good customer for you.
- Maria de Los Angeles (1/5): Para bañarse Edie muyyyyyy. Buenooooooooo - Está en muy buena ubicacion
Y lo más me gustó fue la cama y con que fuerza sale el baño 👏👏👏👏😍 Siiiii

- Harold (9/5): If you are looking for an affordable place to stay that is clean and comfortable, look no further. - Clean, good location, plenty of safe parking, pleasant staff.
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Near oil pumpers & rigs - It was old yet comfortable.
- Michael (8/5): - Found someone’s pills in the drawer and in another drawer my son found a dead roach. Paint peeling on the wall. And water damage shown by sink/refrigerator area.
- Pamela (6/5): - The Holland Inn is an older property that shows its age. The room was a clean though worn. The bedding was clean, though dated, and the bed was comfortable. The AC/fan worked well and muted the traffic noise that would have been noticeable without its use. The room met my basic expectations for a one night stay given the price that was charged.
- Rolf (4/5): - The property is on a noisy corner and my room faced the corner. I asked the manager for another room and he refused. He didn't give me a receipt at check in and was nowhere to be found in the morning. Unable to figure out the TV. I go through this town on a regular basis and will only stay here again if there is absolutely nothing else available.
- George (8/5): - It was an ok hotel. No dining or shopping nearby
- Mark (10/5): Lovely warm welcome - Lovely warm welcome and great suite - super
- Mathias (7/5): Good -
- Eric (2/5): - This hotel advertises a 24/7 front desk, yet when I arrived to check in, nobody was there. Waited for nearly an hour, tried calling several times, no response.
- Trujillo (1/5): I will never stay there again - No A C and the bed was horrible and cheap
- Richard (7/5): Good - Big room, good shower, nice condition.
- Jason (1/5): Miserable and will never stay there again. - Layout of the room. The place stinks. The beds are hard as a bench. Floor would have been more comfortable. The AC was off on a 105 degree day.
- Mathias (7/5): Good -
- Kimberley (6/5): It was what I expected except for the morning amenities - There was still no breakfast or coffee at 7:30 am. He told me there would be fresh bananas etc too. Nothing. I was sad and had to leave. Coffee and quick breakfast food by 6:30 am
- James L (10/5): - Good staff and nice accommodations!
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Marsha (6/5): - Nice for the price. Friendly staff. Very spacious. It was 100 degrees outside that day, and the air conditioner was not on when we checked in that afternoon. The room was very hot, but it was cool by around 10pm. Also, the remote control for the TV was hard to operate unless you held it at a precise angle. Overall, nice stay.
- Tzung-su (9/5): Superb -
- Tyrone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scgroll (2/5): Buyer beware! Don't waste your money. - I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Country Inn & Suites. The hotel was not as described or pictured in the advertisement. Our room was in poor condition and had a strong unpleasant odor of dog kennel & mold that caused allergies to go crazy. When I requested a room change, I was initially told that all rooms were the same, but was then promised another room and 16,000 Choice Points to my account, neither of which materialized. The outside and inside of the hotel were outdated and run down, with molded and missing siding. The front entry porch was messy, with old garbage and pots thrown on the side of the railing, along with dead hanging baskets and neglected landscaping. The bathtub had a filthy, worn-out mat, and the mattress was uncomfortable and worn. To make matters worse, another customer was upset at the front desk because bird feces was blowing into their room through the air vent. This was a truly unsatisfactory experience.
- Rosemary (7/5): we stay at the Holland Inn to go to the Carrizo Plain - its perfect! -
- STEPHEN (10/5): - Nice with off street parking and a camera on the private lot.
- Margo J (10/5): - This is an old property but our king-bed room was roomy and included a sofa as well. We had no complaints.
- George (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable.
- Suresh (10/5): - nothing more
- Javier (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable hotel, with a lovely rose garden outside by the parking lot. Excellent value.
- Rogelio (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): - The property is an older apartment building converted to a hotel which I think was a good decision. So, the rooms are more like small studios rather than a traditional hotel room which worked for me.
- Peng (6/5): - Front desk is nice, but second floor carpet is too old and smell very strong
- Violeta (10/5): Felt welcomed, and would highly recommend the hotel to others. - Outside and inside of the hotel is clean, and well-maintained facilities. The bedding is also very comfortable. Great Location. overall satisfaction with stay, had a wonderful experience, felt welcomed, and would highly recommend the hotel to others. N/A
- Enrique (7/5): Ok for the price. - Good location, central to most things in the area. Fast food within walking distance. Uncomfortable beds, restroom smelled like urine because of the shower curtains. You could hear evey footstep from the room above because the floors are old and creek really loud. Person was up at 5am walking laps for hours. Lol.
- Huan (8/5): - Clean room and quiet neighborhood.
- Stephan (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Very quiet location between two schools. No noisy guests. Large comfortable room.
- debra (8/5): - Extremely kind services front desk.
Very clean,spacious
Comfortable, older property. room.
- Desiree (3/5): Poor - I liked the location. The property is very old. Needs a major upgrade and updating, mainly inside the rooms. I could not stay there for long because of the mustiness of the room. If this place was renovated completely, it would be such a nice and cozy place to stay.
- Gautam (6/5): - Property was nice, convenient and safe. It was driving distance from Los Angeles and Sequoia national park. The staff and service was great. The room didn't smell good but it was ok.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (6/5): - Helpful staff. Comfortable beds. No handicap entrance. 5 big stairs to get up to main lobby.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eduardo (10/5): I WOULD GLADLY STAY THERE AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND. - COZY, CLEAN AND ROOMY PARKING LOT, BUT HAD EXCELLENT STREET PARKING FOR MY TRUCK AND TRAILER RIGHT OUTSIDE MY ROOM.
- Pedro (10/5): Spotless - Very clean rooms.
- Joe (7/5): Good - Location and reliable
- Kulbindar (10/5): - Neat and clean place for a good price. Stayed first time and it exceeded my expectation.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Archie (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - The beds were comfortable and very friendly staff The carpets are a little dirty and the restrooms a little too smal
- Antonio (8/5): Very good -
- Harold (10/5): Good quality, clean rooms, nice staff. - I always enjoy staying at the Holland Inn. The rooms are comfortable, staff are nice, and the rooms are always clean. Can’t think of anything.
- Edmund (8/5): - The room was massive, having been a studio apartment in a previous version.
- Kathy (8/5): - The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the TV was fine. The shower felt good after a day out in the weeds. Coffee could have been refreshed the following morning.
- Edward (10/5): - Well maintained property. Rooms entered from indoor hallways and stairwells so a little more luggage shlepping than usual. Very quiet and my room was spacious. Slept well. Recommended.
- Greg (9/5): Superb - I arrived at the Hotel and at the same time received an urgent telephone call from my daughter about a medical emergency back home. I had to go home and the staff at the Hotel were very understanding and said they would handle cancelling my reservation. The Hostess was very kind to me in my time of need. Next time I'm in Taft I will stay here. Thank you.
- David (10/5): - Great service
- Jose (9/5): Superb -
- Carl (7/5): Good -
- Kimberley (9/5): I’d definitely stay there again. - The location was central to town. The manager was extra helpful. I had a wonderful time and felt very safe traveling alone
- Gregory (10/5): Fantastic, yet quaint, hotel - My wife and I have literally stayed in hundreds of hotels, but this gem is a real find! The service was top notch, the room spotless, and the king-sized bed we slept in was one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced (of course that is subjective and YMMV). This rural hotel even has its own fenced, private parking area. This bargain of a hotel even supplied thinner pillows (already in the room's closet) w/o us having to go request some as we usually do. If you're travelling between N. CA & S. CA, do yourself a favor. Drive a few miles off the interstate and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Clean, quiet, comfortable--a 10+ rating if there ever was one!
- Jung (8/5): - Big rooms with lots of space, a nice refrigerator, affordable.
- Nick (8/5): - Great for the price! Wanted to stay near Bakersfield and this worked out great.
- Ayde (8/5): Very good -
- JEFFRY (4/5): - Close to Taft College
- Lisa (8/5): - We were disappointed with the description since it said, “pool.” But it was a community pool, across the street, open for a few hours a day. Oh my! Other than this, the property itself is clean and a nice stay.
- Hank (3/5): Poor -
- Zulma (6/5): Pleasant -
- William Andres (10/5): - Nice room and good service.
- Cath (10/5): - Great stay, large clean room. Nice and quiet area with plenty car parking at hotel also plenty eating places local to hotel.
- Stuart (10/5): - Great staff and clean, quiet room.
- Hawley (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- maria (10/5): - It was amazing lovednit super clean quiet
- Vicky (8/5): - The place was clean although there was hair in the sink strainer. The deadbolt was broken, the smoke detector was missing &the bedside lamp was broken. But I’m sure these are things that the cleaning staff didn’t tell the owners or even realized were wrong.
- Smith (5/5): Passable - The cleanliness and amenities were above par. The day office manager was extremely rude and unfriendly. Day office worker
- Dan (8/5): Very good -
- Lupita (5/5): Passable -
- Jennifer (8/5): - We loved the uniqueness of the building and room. It reminded me of places I’ve stayed in Europe. It maybe a 2 star hotel but I give it 4.
- Paul (8/5): I would stay again if I was in Taft - Large rooms, helpful management that accommodates requests, nice breakfast snack, comfortable bed, away from the Main Street dog barking during the night occasionally
