• Alana (10/5): Perfect place to go an escape and relax - Everything about the place. The view was amazing, the garden was spectacular and Irina the host was such an accommodating sweet lady. I would absolutely go back and stay there again.
• Lisa (7/5): Beautiful Views and Peaceful Location - The views are incredible! Irena is a lovely, hard working lady. She makes sure you feel very welcome. I would have liked a larger shower, but that's not something that can be changed in the room we had. The other rooms are far larger and very luxurious. Next time we'd opt for one of them.

The owner is lovely and even brought a freshly picked flower bouquet from the beautiful gardens. I loved everything but did not find the mattress comfortable .

Irina provided everything to make us feel cozy - gowns, towels and slippers, and filled the fridge with some breakfast items, even though we didn't expect any. The whole experience - calm and serene - was amazing.

• Hutchings (8/5): The room itself is wonderful and the view is amazing. - I was a little disappointed - couldn't find stuff to make coffee - but in the end staff came and saved me - we had a laugh about it. the gate needs fixing. It's quite heavy and it doesn't open on it's own. Also, when I first got here there were no signs as to how to open the gate. Fortunately for me, there was help taking my luguage up to the room - quite a hill and it would have been easiser if I didn't have to dodge the sprinklers.

• Jennifer (8/5): - Amazing views from the deck outside the bedroom. Beautiful gardens around the building and secure parking Lots of snacks provided by our host on our arrival which was very helpful, since the property is some distance from food shops. Catering facilities were very limited in a very small lobby to the room. It was the most expensive place we stayed in Canada by some margin. Described as being just outside Ganges but it was up quite rough roads and about 900 ft above the town. (8 km drive)

The prices are way too much for what is offered. - The views were amazing It was not kept up, the amenities were not good quality for the price of 300.00 US per night. Not at all what I would expect for a single room. The owner was kind and helpful and the view was stunning but the property is falling into disrepair. Also the foods offered such as oatmeal packets and cookies take no advantage of the gourmet foods available on the Island but were quaker and nothing special.

It felt like we were perched in the tree tops of a rainforest. - There were cheese buns,muffins,Jam,bananas,yummy egg salad & yogurt in the room upon arrival.As well a lovely postcard with a cheesecake slice & mini bubbly for our anniversary celebration. Just couple creamers/milk in the mini fridge. I wasn’t able to sign the guestbook so a pen attached would have been great.

• Dave (8/5): My stay there was very relaxing. I was there for my daughter’s wedding, elsewhere on the Island, so slept there mostly w - The peaceful setting, beautiful view. Easy check in/out. Nice breakfast muffins, juice, buns & cheese. Lovely Host The washboard dirt road(s) it takes to get to it. A bit of an uphill walk from the parking area to the suite. Not an issue for me, but elderly or anyone with mobility issues would have difficulty. A drip coffee maker would be a nice improvement to the Bodum. For me at least.

This property was advertised as a B &B, but there was a minimal offering of food for the first day, and no breakfast thereafter. The visitors book raves about the wonderful cooking and breakfasts, so to be offered nothing was very disappointing. The unending list of “do nots” was almost insulting ... both by email and listed in the room. No servicing for four days' stay.
• Irene (6/5): Hidden in the hills - The bed was very soft. The linens were wonderful. Nice view from the deck. The kitchen was difficult. I had to balance the electric kettle on the edge of the sink. The reviews had raved about the cooked breakfast but after my booking was confirmed I realized this room did not have a breakfast option. Also,t he packaged oatmeal was quite inadequate. That part was disappointing.
• Kathleen (10/5): Clean and charming retreat above the trees. - Armand Heights is a perfect little getaway house above the trees with a nice skyline view and a peek of Vancouver in the distance. The suite was so clean and cozy, the host was friendly and gave us some great tips, and the light breakfast was a great start to our day. Added bonus of a dog to greet you when you arrive. We look forward to returning for a longer stay in the future.

• Pam (8/5): - Our stay was just one night, but it was very enjoyable. Irina, our host was very helpful and friendly. The view from the room was wonderful. Every thing was very clean and all the amenities were there ( instructions about the gas fire would have been useful, but we worked it out eventually)
• Emily (10/5): - The room was lovely and had a beautiful view of the ocean and arbutus trees in front of the balcony. It was comfortable and enjoyable. We loved having access to the hot tub as well. Very much enjoyed our stay here.
• Verena (8/5): Room in the trees - The room has everything you need if slightly dated. It has great views and Irina delivered a great breakfast every morning to our room. I do have to say it is rather off the beaten track and getting back after dinner in the pitch dark on gravel roads can be challenging!
• Suzanne and Barry (10/5): - This is a special property with exceptional host with Irina and Sky (her little dog). The views from the Sky Suite were amazing, and the breakfasts healthy and very nicely presented. The gardens which are open to walk around are wonderful with the largest roses we have ever seen. I am a seasoned traveler - 63 countries to date, and this is a gem!

• Verified traveler (4/5): - Only okay. The bad: After arriving at the property, we were informed that using the second bed in the room would cost extra. How can you advertise a room with 2 beds and inform guests that they can only use one? This appears to be in violation of what was advertised on Expedia and is quite frankly, ridiculous. Did they not want to change the sheets on both beds?!?! Bizarre. Be warned. Credit cards are not accepted. Again, this is not mentioned anywhere by Expedia. Room deposits are placed on credit cards, but you can't fully pay for your room with your card. I can only guess this is because the owner doesn't want to pay the merchant fees associated with this. The property needs to be better maintained. Whether it was lights not working properly in the suite, the digital lock on the suite struggling, the front gate not opening on the first try - these things should be fixed. This is not what a 4 star B&B looks like. The good: The property is pretty. The landscaping is very beautiful, and the views are very nice. The location, although a little bit out of the way, offers a quiet, secluded setting, but only a 10 minute drive from town. The breakfast was good and Irina does try hard to make you feel welcome. She's very knowledgeable about the island and is a big enthusiast of what it has to offer. Conclusion: If you're stuck and can't find a place to stay at this price point, Armand Heights is an ok choice. However, at $350 a night, you can probably do better.
• Leon (10/5): Excellent view and Fantastic breakfast - The breakfast provided was homemade and great. The room was clean and comfortable with fantastic view from the balcony.
