• Siamak (2/5): Not for business men on the move and arriving lat - I booked the room as I arrived at 3 am and needed a place to stay the night till morning and then travel to another destination. The hotel.com did give me one option of booking the date at 3 am obviously to stay the night But not allowing me to occupy room the same early morning/ night. My booking was accepted but there way some booking condition way down the web page not seen well, and missed easily. Took an Uber and reach the place ... No one to open the door or no one to pick up the contact number to reply to your call after booking. They mentioned to to check confirmation you must book between 5 PM to 10 PM, but then the site could have refused you booking and giving you confirmation online after these hours and giving you a simple message that you can not book after midnight and take the room till 5 PM.!

• Jules (4/5): - I originally paid a little extra for a larger room, but was stuck in the smallest of rooms. (def not the one I booked). They have permant tenants at this site by the looks of it. These tenants where up every hour walking across the floor with high heeled shoes and loudly talking on the phone. No sleep at all as this took place every hour. Dirty underware was left on the floor in the bathroom from the other quests and the next morning there was a bra hanging on the inside of the bathroom door. Also am pretty sure that the other guests in the house smoke as that is all I could smell all night long to the point of being nauseous. Confusing as to what food was for the guests and what was for the tenants so didn't bother eating.....would recommend to anyone who is thinking of staying here to pay the extra and get a regular motel room or a different establishment.
• jennifer (6/5): Our Review. - The owners where very nice and helpful .. When we arrived the owner has us pay, then we went down the street to where the accommodations were he showed us around, both bathrooms and the Continental breakfast for the morning in the fridge, it was alright, if you are looking for a very basic place to stay and don't mind the smell of smoke, ever though there was none smoking signs posted everywhere. There wasn't a lot of heat in our room..bathtub could have been cleaner. other then that it was fine.
• Allister (2/5): Stay Away - They're Scammers - I chose this place because it was a 5 minute drive away from a friend's wedding hall. I booked the room that was shown in the picture, with the private bathroom, and that WAS NOT WHAT WE GOT. When my wife and I got there they asked us to pay first for the room, I stupidly paid, and then they told us the room with the private bathroom was conveniently unavailable. They ended up taking us to another house, down the street, with a communal bathroom. The next morning the water didn't work and the complimentary breakfast was stale wonder bread and crystallized jam, why bother trying...

There is free parking on site so I park my car when in Toronto for business. It is a quiet, clean, safe neighbourhood. The owner and family are very pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast is just oatmeal or toast but again for the value we were very happy. Owners easy to deal with, had no issues!

The halls were so old and all the doors making noise the floor was making noise when people they were using the bathroom and going to the room the doors were making a lot of noise and bathroom was very dirty, and in addition there was no camera if someone does something wrong on that house nobody can prove what happened there I left my sandwich with the live label in refrigerator and a morning wasn’t there and Hotel said they have a security camera and they will check it but that wasn’t true basically is not safe to stay there And stairs had lose carpet which wasn’t safe to walk on it. I couldn’t complain because my car was parked in front of the home and I was wondering they would do something to my car and there is no security camera catch anything .......
• Fernando (8/5): - It is a very good place. It's clean. The staff is friendly and kind. The bed was great, really comfy. They could probably replace the screen of the windows (at least the one at the window I tried to open was broken. I had to close the window). The connection quality of the WiFi is very poor. I've got connected but I couldn't watch a single video, (taking into account that there's no tv in the bedroom). The parking is also not that great. I was concern that any other car could get later than me and block the exit in case I wanted to leave earlier. It didn't happened tho, but it could (the owner said any guest could come unexpectedly). In conclusion, I do recommend the place, it's a fair cost and the area is very calm. This would be great though, if those mentioned things get to be improved. Nevertheless, I will come back.

• Madi (8/5): A little confusing but worth it - Staff were super friendly though we were a little confused about the conducting of the B&B. Expect to not be actually staying at the actual address, the owners seem to own a property down the street in which they house the tenants in. Was super pleasant, clean and quiet. Good price and stay for 1 night only.

Although the driveway is long, with other guests' car that might be parked there I made used of the parking space in the schoolyard easily accessible from the B&B. This arrangement for me is convenient. Although a guest is freely allowed access to the food items in the kitchen pointed out as for the free breakfast portion, I noticed that there is a necessity for a guest to specify their diet restrictions. We only met another guest but were informed when checking that the B&B is fully booked. It lends one a creepy and insecure feelings. My daughter and I were out most of the time which is good for us. I am used to B&B's in another continent and I found that service here in Canada for my first B&B in Toronto was lacking comparatively to my previous experiences. Note that the room given to us was sufficient for our two-day stay. The pricing was the point that attracted me in choosing this B&B. I will still use this site next time but more prepared and not expecting any more of it because the cost is within my reach.

It wasn’t bad, mainly because we were only there for one night, but we didn’t expect to have housemates or share a communal bathroom. Those are details they forgot to mention.

As the owner does not live onsite and I think some of the other guests were there on and extended stay it felt more like a rooming house than a B&B I was not comfortable using the living room as a shared space

• obhorst (10/5): Clean, inexpensive place to stay - I was in Toronto for three days for a convention and was looking for clean, inexpensive place to stay, away from downtown. With a 5 minute walk and two buses, I could get to the subway in about 15 minutes. Or, I could walk 8 minutes and have one bus to get to the subway. Since the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is connected to Union Station by the PATH, it was just a nice walk from the subway to the convention centre. Check in is convenient and quick. I had booked two nights originally and then asked for one additional night. This caused a bit of a delay but I was grateful that they could handle my late request for an additional night.

• Perry (2/5): Unreliable WiFi - The WiFi was unreliable. It cut out for hours at a time, two or three times while I was staying there. What else is there to say? That is completely unacceptable, and that alone accounts for the 1-star rating. This is also my first time staying in a bed and breakfast; I realize that was a mistake on my part. I found the experience of sharing a common area with other guests to be extremely uncomfortable, though I can't fault them for that, since that is exactly what was advertised. The "breakfast" part of the bed and breakfast, however, was a sad affair. A refrigerator with some bread, jam, yogurt, and cold cereal. If the WiFi issue didn't already ruin the score, I would have poorly rated for that as well. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Go to a Super 8 or Motel 6, or some other reputable brand of motel. It will be slightly more expensive than here, but my experience with chain motels is that they have been better than this experience in every conceivable way.
• c (2/5): Misrepresented, very basic and loud - I was very disappointed by my stay. It was inconvenient as the check in house is noy the house you stay in, had to park st a local school, shower did not work, pictures on site are not even the same at all (totally different rooms & kitchen etc), "continental" breakfast was jam & loaf of bread in fridge, etc. Walls are paper-thin and could hear ever word from all other rooms. Other guests arriving late, knocking on door to get in as they couldn't figure out the locks, etc. I was hoping for a restful sleep and avoid driving back & forth to a conference. I ended up leaving at 11:30 pm & drive home 1.5hrs & drove back (2hrs) to my conference the next day. Would not recommend.

• Jen (6/5): Mucky basement room - The pictures of the B&B show mostly the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor, but we were given the basement room which could have been okay if it was ventilated at all. I think the basement has never been re-done, which left an old, musky stench. This was covered up by a vanilla smelling Airwick, which made it worse and gave me a headache. I think the travellers who stayed on the floors with real windows had a totally different experience. I don't recommend the basement, but I think the rest of the house could have been very nice. Otherwise, the hosts were kind and helped us with as much as possible for our stay.

• illegal place (2/5): scary place to stay - As it mentioned 41 Kenton Dr and that's not the place, they checked you and take you to another small house 30 Kenton Dr. So it's misleading and safety issues. my wife got freak out and we didn't stay there. But we have paid on line and when we get there girl ask us to pay cash or debit card. so we paid $us 57. we want our refund. it's completely illegal place to stay. it's not registered and not even insured. pls take this from your web site. thinking to file report to Toronto consumer beuro.

Other rooms seemed to be bigger, but ours was extremely small, and basically only fit the small double bed. Very limited space to move around in that room. Everything else was okay. Staff was friendly. Therefore, for the price, it was not bad.

It was a small room, my only complaint was that the walls are quite thin, I could hear a lot of floorboards squeaking or others talking/making breakfast in the kitchen. But I loved the small touches like homemade muffins in the fridge! We would definitely come back! Note: the guest house is down the street from the owner's house, which is the address on the website where you check in. I wasn't sure when we first go to check in!

It's basically a home they own, and they rent out the rooms in it (they don't live in that house, they live in a different one). The room I had was very comfy and clean. Same goes for the bathroom. The area is a little bit out of the way of downtown Toronto - it was convenient for me because I had a rental car, but I do not recommend it if you don't have a car and are looking to visit downtown Toronto. Enjoy!

The continental breakfast was convenient, similar to what we might have had at home. The neighbourhood is very quiet, yet not far from city activity. However, all we wanted was a quiet, inexpensive place to stay for a night, not too far from Hwy 401, so we could make our pickup the next morning and be on our way again. I would not hesitate to stay again if I had reason to be in that part of the city overnight.

Far enough or of the city to not be constantly hastened with traffic and be able to relax. But close enough and an easy commute back into the city. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was a bit limited but there were still good options. Great place overall and I would go again if I come back to the Toronto area.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Not a good BB - We needed an inexpensive place to stay for one night, and thought it was worth a shot. The room was VERY SMALL, I banged my knees getting around the bed. The TEMPERATURE of the room was HORRIBLE - it was cold, so we used the blanket/duvet - which then made it too hot. The bed was soft and noisy . On the good side, The bathroom was a VERY CLEAN communal bathroom. The towels for the room were clean, HOWEVER the towels in the bathroom were not very clean. I could see some stains on the small white hand towels :( You make your own breakfast, and they had some ok stuff, eggs, toast, milk, orange juice, coffee, salt, ketchup etc - NO pepper (we couldn't find it). Parking was ok, it's a small house.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - The host is nice.. friendly..1)but the beds where too soft..i felt like i was sinking all the time....and this is nothing to do with the host but 2)the people in the house were making loud noises til 1am.. which was hard to get sleep the whole night with these two elements..
• Edward (8/5): Good rate for single room with shared bathroom. - Room with shared bathroom is a good value for the money. It has a shower, comfortable bed, and good Wi-Fi. Exactly what I was looking for.
• Hai (8/5): Location location - Was close to everything. My conference location and various dinning. Also convenient parking spot. Quite and safe neighbourhood.
• Jamshed (4/5): - It's so noise and can't sleep 12:30 am left the hotel , when for other hotel , regret to book that place . Any how I will never go there again .

• Aya (10/5): Clean B&B!! - I suddenly had to stay and used it. Foreigners are hard to understand the location of the bus stop which is getting down and the location. However, it was friendly and helpful. I am happy also with breakfast. The room was cold…Heating was not very effective.
