• Shamim (1/5): Wrost motel in chatham - There is nothing to like. Absolutely terrible experience at Kent motel The rooms, beds, and washrooms were extremely dirty—completely unacceptable. There were no proper phone charging plugs, and the landline phone didn’t even work. The towel provided was dirty, and the fridge was filthy as well. On top of that, the staff showed a complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills. Overall, a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

• Steve (1/5): Avoid this place. - The price is what drew me in. The room we were given was filthy. Floors were sticky and unswept, and the toilet and tub were gross. Zero standards. We were given another room after bringing it up, that one wasn't much better.

The lobby had junk in it rooms did not look nice at all, read reviews after arrival and believe they were all spot on. Surprised this place has not been closed down. We did not stay after seeing how disgusting it looked. Run down and trashy looking.

• Vutskos (8/5): The room was clean and in walking distance to downtown. - All I was looking for was a low priced one night stay. It meant everything I was looking for. The bed was a bit small but, it was comfortable.

• Robert (7/5): Affordable economy motel, a place to sleep and a great shower. - Friendly staff. Very nice shower! Fridge was not on when we got there, and it never really got cold so we lost a salad by morning. Front door has a thin yellow certain over a huge window, so all the outside light gets into the room easily and the room never really gets dark.

It has friendly people here if you want to make a friend when you are here and good nice people here too. And there is no problmes here since I'v been here.

• 922evangelinew (2/5): STAY FAR AWAY - STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT LETS IT CONTINUE TO RUN!? bugs, mice and filthy. Noise from the locals that live on the property keep you up. We didn't feel safe for one minute! There are much better alternatives close by

• Susana moniz (2/5): - We were on a work related trip with a limited budget. We decided on this location based on fair reviews and good price. Upon arriving the smell in the room was awful. The bathroom was very dirty. There was human body hair on the sheets. This gave us reason to remove the sheet to check for possible bed bugs. We did not find any bugs but we did uncover an extremely stained mattress that looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster. Outside of the building there was old furniture and garbage bags. Unsalted walkways. We left to find another location for our stay.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - I booked a room with a double bed but was given a queen size bed with no up charge which was nice. It is actually a decent place to stay, we’ve stayed here a few times and have nothing bad to say really. I mean the rooms are a little out dated, but comfortable. The price point is excellent. It’s fairly quiet. We stayed on one of the coldest nights of the year and the heater had trouble keeping up, it was a bit chilly in our room but the bathroom was COLD. We had our own extra blankets to give us extra warmth. One thing I did notice is the bedspread has something wiped on it, it appeared that it was dirty and needed to be washed and under the bed hasn’t been swept in a very long time, I noticed when we were looking for an item we thought it may have fallen under the bed.

• Cai (7/5): Good - The location is good! It's not far from the Chatham Driving Test Centre where my son took his driving test. The heater in the room was too noisy, otherwise everything is okay.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - We had what looked like an adjoining room off of our bathroom. There was no way for us to lock it from our side, this made me feel uncomfortable. The property is ok, some more permanent residents have beer cans stacked outside their room this looks somewhat unsightly. The walls in our room were pretty gross.

• Theresa (2/5): Don’t stay here. - We booked for two rooms for about a week. Within an hour of the booking, I tried to cancel it and the hotel refused. I had family that made other arrangements for me after they said it wasn’t a safe place. There are people living in the motel m, hanging around in random pile of furniture.Lots of old cars and bikes and bbqs sitting in the parking lo. Unkept, unattractive buildings.

• Abigail (1/5): There was no 'stay' at the Kent Motel because their office hours were incorrectly listed. - Nothing, because I was unable to stay at this motel. The description said the reception office was open 24 hours, but when my sister and I arrived at 10:30pm it was closed. We tried calling and nobody would pick up. When we contacted them the next day, they refused to refund us or give any explanation as to why their hours were incorrectly posted. They claimed that their office closed at 9pm. They took zero accountability and basically told us "tough luck". My sister and I were on a road trip, looking forward to exploring Ontario and the coast of Lake Huron. When we booked the Kent Motel, their description listed their check-in office to be open 24 hours. We drove over 13 hours that day and finally arrived in Chatham around 10:30 pm. When we arrived, their office was totally dark, and the door was locked. Clearly closed. We immediately tried calling them to see if there was any help to be found, but nobody picked up. At this point, it is late at night, there are very few other spots in town. We ended up having to sleep in the car after a very long day of driving. The next day, we called both Booking and the Kent Motel directly. Zero help from both sources. They refused to refund us our money and didn't apologize or take accountability for having their hours incorrectly posted. We asked again for even a partial refund since we literally did not step foot in the room, and the Kent Motel refused. If your business has office hours incorrectly posted, then you should take accountability and make things right! To this day, on Booking's description, it says "24-hour reception greets guests of Kent Motel" which is simply not true. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I would absolutely avoid this spot because the people running it take no accountability for their actions.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - For the price the property was exactly what you would expect. The property is generally a place where people stay long term and thus has a unkept look about it. Tables outside of room with large cans of cigarette butts left an aroma which was unpleasant to say the least. The room showed signs of wear and while it was clean enough there was evidence of mold and rot in the bathroom area. The bathroom floor had water on it as if some had just taken a shower and the towels while folded nicely felt damp. The WiFi while free was sporadic at best and the TV had sound but no picture. The bed had a fake leather headboard on which some had drawn flowers in permanent marker which some had tried to was off leaving a faded drawing.

• Drew (2/5): - Filthy room, couldn't stand how bad it smelled and had to leave, didn't stay the night and I checked out as soon as my phone was charged. Had to sleep in my car that night as every other hotel was fully booked or unaffordable. I feel like I got scammed. Booked three nights, stayed for none of them, still cost over $200 with no refund of any kind. Took pictures of the filth to prove I'm not exaggerating or making things up, can post in a Google review of the property so they're available somewhere. Room smelled like cigarette smoke, trash stink and some weird chemical odour. Heavily stained chair in room. Faint white splatter looking stains on the nightstand. Bathroom floor looked like someone had walked around on it with wet dirty shoes. Brownish scum all over the panelling at the bottom of the bathroom walls. Fruit fly buzzing around. Bathroom trash can had an empty garbage bag in it but the bottom of the can itself had all kinds of filth in it, some of it looked like red syrup and rotting food. The foam mattress top I layed out in the back of my car was much more comfortable to lay on than the hard mattress in the room. The top blanket had bits of what appeared to be dried glue crusted into the fabric in places. I assume it was glue since there was pieces of dried glue in the rooms dresser drawers as well. A shirtless man was staring at me in the parking lot and I felt unsafe. Room did not look like the pictures online (Expedia showed it had a bathtub, only had a shower)
