Guest Reviews
- Gianna (2/5): - My daughter stayed here for just one night while waiting for her other accommodations to be ready. Unfortunately, her experience raised concerns about cleanliness.
When she arrived late in the evening, she found pantyhose and a crusty towel left in the room’s nightstand. Because it was late and she was only staying one night, she didn’t request a room change, but the discovery was unsettling enough that she avoided using the shower altogether.
She did take a photo, and as far as we know, those items are still in the nightstand. While the staff may not have been aware, the oversight made us question the thoroughness of the room’s cleaning. We messaged the Osprey this concern a week ago, didn’t receive a response.
- Barbrina (8/5): - Staff was very nice and accommodating. I had a change in my dates of stay and for some reason it didn’t show up in their system. She immediately said, no problem and adjusted my dates and rates and check in was a breeze!
- Frantz (8/5): - Nice Beach front property, Tv in the room didn’t work,
- Woulieme (4/5): - Wow
- Robin (6/5): - Room walls are paper thin. 1st night could hear loud snoring all night from next room. Replaced next by Rude Patrons next door, which could be heard on their phones, listening to loud music and blaring TV at all hours of early morning (3:30 a.m.). Wait staff acted like they could care less that you where even there. Sat waiting forever as they chatted with each other. Poorly trained (Social Skills lacking Island Wide). Questions usually met with excuse of don't know due to 1st week or 1st day on new job) ?? Must be go to excuse as we heard it everywhere. Take plenty of cash as there are many Cash only places all over the island. Example: Was wanting a Couples massage = $300 tips and tax, ATM would not accept our requests. Multiple times! Maid service was excellent though, so that was a pleasant surprise.
- Christal (10/5): - This property is small and quiet. Best for couples or families who do not require entertainment or distractions. Serene, quaint, and clean little hotel with gorgeous ocean views. The staff is friendly and highly accommodating. Just a handful of people do all the work but do exceptionally well. Major and Crystal were two individuals who stood out during our trip serving us at the Bird Cage Bar and restaurant. We will be coming back.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Great location right on the beach. Beach is very nice and few people on it. Rooms are a decent size and kept fairly clean. Hotel restuarant is probably one of the best on the island (decent but not fancy food, nice location, and good service staff). Only real negative is the Air conditioner in the room was very noisy and made sleeping with it on difficult. For the price this place is worth the money -- its quaint, not fancy.
- JAMES (6/5): - Property is very nicely situated and laid out... but sadly it is very "dated" and particularly given the cost of a stay
- Jonalyn (8/5): - I like it that the beach is just in the front of the property.
- Dave (10/5): - The hotel and staff were terrific to deal with. The location and beach are perfect!
- Richard (8/5): - Can’t beat the view.
- Robert A (8/5): - I liked my room and it was very clean. Balcony was private and the room had sufficient plugs for my scuba diving equipment to charge. Had functional desk and nice big comfortable king sized bed.
Only thing I did not like was the loud AC unit that was needed most of the time, even at night which made sleeping a little rough.
Restuarant was generally good and water drinkable. Barbeque nights were expensive twice a week at dinner, but had really good food. Normal menu foods were good and a little less expensive, but still pricey for what you got. Food quality and service were generally good.
The diving on Grand Turks with Blue Water divers locater accross the street was excellent. My dive guide, King was a great resource and very helpful during my dives.
- Mark (10/5): Great location in excellent location - It's not a luxury hotel, but it's clean and comfortable and right next to the beach. The pool is a bit odd being in the middle of a dining area. As a result, we didn't see it getting any use. The restaurant on site serves breakfast lunch and dinner. Prices are reasonable and the food good, especially on BBQ night, 3 times a week. We found the shower in our room to be a bit dodgy but it was ok. Our bed was very comfortable and every room either has a little lanai/patio or balcony. It is, literally' steps to the ocean. The full sized fridge in our room was very useful as were the beach towels and beach umbrellas. Although it didn't start that way, there ended up being plenty of loungers on the beach too. Good snorkelling direct from the beach too.
- Julie (10/5): Nice Hotel on the beach - Our stay at Osprey Beach Hotel was lovely. It is an older hotel and had normal signs of age but it was kept clean and safe. Our only complaint was that the AC in our room (#42) was quite loud when the compressor kicked on. The beach was beautiful and the staff were friendly and quite helpful.
- Suzanne (10/5): Awesome - Everyone is so helpful and friendly - and the beach is beautiful. We really enjoyed our Stay.
- Erika (8/5): - Beautiful but it is overrated.
- Madison (10/5): - Absolutely love the Osprey! It's our favorite place to stay anytime we visit Grand Turk. The staff are so helpful and nice and the rooms overlook the beach. You can't beat having th sounds of waves lull you to sleep at night.
- Robert (10/5): - Staff was very friendly. Wanda at the bar was especially nice and friendly. Owner Jenny was very happy to help with any special need.
- cynthia (10/5): - Location is right on the beach. All rooms have patios/balconies with beach view just a few steps away.
- Samantha (10/5): - Beautiful beach front rooms, clean and simple, super lovely staff and the food at the restaurant is delicious
- Jacob (8/5): - Gret view and beach but need to clean up old beer cans in sand on beach access area. Also need more staff for lunchtime. I waited half an hour for service and then waited at the cash register to get service and put in my order. Nice guy waiting on tables there but way too much on him
- MARY (10/5): - Eating right next to ocean was truly magical. The food was amazing & the barbecue night was really welcomed with fresh fish & lobster.
My room was extremely comfortable & you couldn't beat the view! Listening to the waves crash was calming as I drifted off to sleep. Plenty of beach chairs & space to lounge. Would definitely highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grand Turk!
- sandi (10/5): - RELAXING ATMOSPHERE. The island is very quiet. I did not leave the resort, I was there for quite and sun only. There were adventures available on the island. This would be a great place to stay if you we're just all about diving as there were two diving companies right across the street.Great food at resort, full bar and pool. Ocean water was incredible. Owners were on property and very friendly. Rooms were clean and fresh. Highly recommended.
- Shicora (2/5): - The room has roaches, the towels were dirty, the tv doesn't work, the phone doesn't work, we requested and upper floor but received a ground floor, the room smelt bad (it gave my niece a sore throat.)
- andrea (6/5): - Beautiful oceanfront with a nice beach and views. Good restaurant. The bed is very comfortable, the refrigerator is nice as is the shower.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
The property is old and in need of a little tlc, the ac was so loud we had to turn it off at night, unbearable!!!
I missed having an outdoor shower or even just a faucet to wash your feet.
- Kansha (10/5): - Very great place
- sandra (10/5): Love the Osprey - We had a wonderful time at Osprey! Food there was good, staff very friendly and helpful . Great location . Gorgeous views!
- veronik (8/5): - Breath taking view, awesome beach and best restaurant on the island!! Missing a gym and could benefit of some small maintenance (painting) but overall, really good:-)
- veronik (8/5): - Well situated on the beach and amazing restaurant. The food is always delicious and menu vary every day. Price are fair!
- Christopher (6/5): - The property itself was great. We were right on the beach, it's a few blocks from the few available restaurants on the island, as well as the dive shops. One thing this place really needs, though, are amenities, especially water-related activities from which they could be making bank. There are no rentals or water excursions available. Also, if you're expecting anything remotely close to what any reasonable person would call "customer service", prepare for extreme disappointment. The customer service is almost non-existent. I will say that at the Osprey there was one woman at the front desk who was absolutely amazing and helped me beyond measure with several different issues. But other than her, the staff works at a snail's pace. This wasn't just at the Osprey, but everywhere we went on Grand Turk (as well as on Providenciales). They chalk it up to "This is just island life", but that doesn't cut it. We've been to plenty of islands where they understand that good customer service equates more tourism. In the Turks, it's just downright laziness. And there is definitely a resentment in the air while you're being "served" (dare I degrade the word). We asked other travelers if we were just paranoid, but they wholeheartedly agreed and said they felt the same tension from the locals. The whole island has that creepy feel like they're just one cultural misunderstanding away from grabbing the machetes and heading down to the resorts to hack up the Westerners.
- babe grace (8/5): - The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The location was perfect and the beach is so beautiful
- Sandra Tieh (10/5): - The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and located on a quiet, pristine beach. No need to pack a bag for the day - you can just run back and forth from the room or sit on the comfy chairs on your private shaded deck during the hottest part of the day. The food and service is top notch! My stay was shortened from 3 to 1 day due to travel issues but the staff accommodated my schedule change and Jenny even provided me with a last minute ride to the airport!!
- hilary (8/5): Great view of the beach & sea - Great location on the beach & friendly staff.
For the facilities it was more than I would have liked to pay.
Basic room with old noisy AC.
Did have a great view of the beach and ocean.
The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced (for the T&C islands).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property located beachfront
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We couldn't of been happier at Osprey Beach Hotel! The property is right on the water, there is a lovely restaurant on the property and the staff was friendly! I would recommend renting a golf cart for your entire stay, this tiny island has lots of areas to explore!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming hotel right on the beach with a veranda facing west to watch the amazing sunsets. Dinner at the outside restaurant was great and the staff very pleasant and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a nice time at Osprey Beach. Unfortunately, COVID restrictions were put in place the night before we arrived, so we could only eat at the hotel (which has good food!), and this meant that the pool was closed except for 3-5pm. The view from the room was amazing (perfect sunsets), and the lovely beach was right in front of us. There isn't much to see when snorkeling close to shore (visibility was low due to high winds not super robust reefs right by the shore), but floating about in the water by the hotel was nice. The room was also very comfortable for the 2 of us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like how close it was to the ocean and the bed was nice!I disliked how the internet was poor, the tiolet made a loud noise everytime it flushed and the air condition made a superhard noise none like i've ever heard before.
- Gene (10/5): - The propert is right on the ocean with a lovely beach and balconies overlooking the sea. Good restaurant on premises.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Paradise location - Amazing location looking out over the white sand beach and turquoise seas with lovely staff, a nice restaurant and a few close by eateries and convenience store.
- Heather (2/5): Not located on island with international airport - The hotel is not located on providenciales, Turks and Caicos where the international airport is located. It is located on a smaller island called Grand Turk which is about 75 miles away and only accessible by cruise ship or propeller airplane. The issue is when you search for hotels in Turks and Caicos online this hotel fails to provide a disclaimer to put the traveler on notice that this hotel is not located on the same island as the international airport. We had no clue until we arrived at the Providenciales airport and had no place to stay!
- David (8/5): - Right in the beach! Beautiful sunset view from our room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent accommodations and restaurant right on the ocean in the center of everything. Easy walk to other restaurants as well.
- Sam (8/5): - Great view. Right on the beach.
No TV and internet didn't hardly work.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The Birdcage bar and restaurant was very quaint and rustic. The oceanfront/poolside setting was stunning. Staff in the food and beverage service was stellar.
The room, however, was a disappointment. Our oceanfront view was obscured by a huge fig tree. Hot water in the shower lasted about three minutes. The phone would not even allow me to call the front desk, much less the airport.
- Ljenkins (10/5): - This property sits right on the beach. The rooms all overlook the ocean and you can always hear the waves as they come to the shore. The staff is supper friendly and low key. I will be back!!!!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the view from our room. The staff in the office were extremely helpful. The restaurant staff was a bit slow. Food was ok. Conch fritters were cold and mushy.
If possible, lease add creamer to the room for those who don't drink black coffee.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Attentive staff and beautiful beaches who could ask for more
- Verified traveler (8/5): A little gem. - A wonderful location with incredible ocean views..... spectacular sunsets. Very nice employees. Original Carribbean vibe.
- Tia (10/5): - Everything about the property was above expectations. We had a nice view and were about 20 feet from the water and white sand. the staff was helpful with any questions we had.
- Linda (10/5): - All the staff had contact with were friendly, well trained and eager to help. The hotel is on.one of the most beautul beaches anywhere in the islands. Privacy was.also great as was the food.
- KyaS (8/5): - What I think is the best of the property is the location. It has a paradise view, from the pool and dining section and the room I stayed in. It is very tranquil and peaceful. The food is good, judging from a breakfast and a dinner ocassion. The room is spatious, the furniture is not modern, is according ro this Caribbean-colonial style mostly. But the view is soul food!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to beach and walkable to most everything needed
- VN (10/5): - Great location. Right on the beach. Not a busy area. Dive shop just across the street. I like just rolling out of bed and walking to the beach to get into our dive boat.
