- Josephine (10/5): - Riu Palace provides good value for it's money but what made this place special was the staff and especially management. Smita and Manager, Vikesh went above and beyond to accommodate my group so we could have an enjoyable experience and the place quickly felt like home. The facilities are quite adequate with comfortable and modern accommodations, fun activities especially the nightly music at the Sega Stage, and the food options were pretty good! The location is great for those looking for peace and quiet and/or water sports. It is isolated if you're looking for more town life and will have to spend quite a bit on taxi fares to go into town and back.

Pools are nice and there are plenty of sunbeds around, in case the ocean is not welcoming. Food was very good, with plenty of choices. The RIU app is not the best, but that’s not something this hotel can fix.

- Harald (6/5): - Pro: Gepflegte Anlage Gutes Essen All Inklusive Wassersport Möglichkeiten Contra: Laute Anlage Keine gedämpfte Musik beim Essen (weden Frühstück, zwischendruch und auch nicht beim Abendessen) Keine Möglichkeit ein Abendessen in den Themen Restaurants zu reservieren. Reservierung soll lt. Hotelrezeption nur via App funktionieren. Es gab keine Informationen, wann eine Reservierung möglich ist. Die Meldung in der App "Reservations are not allowed due to restrictions applied" war keine wirkliche Hilfe. Die Rezeption konnte auch keine Auskunft geben. Es war innerhalb einer Woche Aufenthalt nicht möglich ein Themen Restaurant zu buchen. Weder um 0:00 Uhr Mitternachts, noch um 7:00 Uhr vor dem Frühstück, noch um 18:00 vor dem Abendessen. Weitere Restaurants können nur besucht werden, wenn man sich ab 17:00 Uhr in die Schlage einreiht, um eine Reservierung für den gleiche Abend zu erhalten (nicht garantiert). Reservierungen für andere Tage (in der Zukunft) wurden nicht akzeptiert. Elite Club Aufpreis rentiert sich aus unserer Sucht nicht, weil die "Privat-Pools" ein Pool sind, die nur durch eine Trennwand voneinader getrennt sind. Privatsphäre ist nicht gegeben, da jeder Hotelgast daran vorbeigehen kann.
- Keyvan (10/5): - My experience at the Riu Palace was exceptional. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, and the bartenders in particular went out of their way to remember guests’ preferred drinks, which added a personal touch to the service. The food was enjoyable, and I appreciated the flexibility of being able to explore both sides of the resort. I occasionally visited the buffet on the all-ages side before returning to the adults-only area for another meal. It’s worth noting that the main restaurants operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so guests should plan accordingly. Overall, I had a phenomenal stay. However, I did encounter one unfortunate incident. On the day of a late excursion, housekeeping attempted to clean my room in the morning, but I had chosen to sleep in and asked them to return later. I left the room around 5:30 p.m., and upon returning at 7:30 p.m., I found the room had not been serviced. I contacted the front desk, and although I felt uncomfortable requesting cleaning around 8 p.m., I had already placed the used linens on the floor and hoped to have fresh ones upon my return. Regrettably, I made the mistake of leaving a bag with cash on the dresser rather than securing it in the safe. The next morning, I noticed approximately 6,000 rupees (about $132 USD) were missing. I did not report the incident to the front desk, as I acknowledged it was my responsibility to use the safe. For future travellers , I strongly recommend securing all valuables.

- Simon (4/5): Please read and digest before booking - We stayed in an elite club room, whish i would say to anyone reading this, DO NOT WASTE THE EXTRA MONEY. This is not an elute experience, you do NOT get premier drinks in the room, No Gin, No JD, and if you ask your told its not possible, its only available at the one bar in the whole hotel Not all the restaurants stated are open all of the time, there only open every other day, of which you have to book on an App, and can only do so 48hrs in advance, and is limited to numbers. There are 2 other restaurants which people queue for, for an hour to get into!! Its really a 3star hotel trying to be a 4 star..i would have uploaded some pictures but the app wont let me.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Beautiful location, terrible food - The location is nice and the amenities are beautiful. The staff is very nice. However, the food and drinks range from very limited to inedible. We stayed for 3 nights. There are 4 restaurants, only 2 of which are open daily, plus the buffet. The breakfast buffet is good, lunch is edible, dinner is inedible. You need reservations at 2 of the places, 2 are first come. We went to 1 reservation spot (thank you to the manager who got us a reservation- they were booked the entire time we were there) and the steakhouse. Both were fine enough. Wine selection is terrible unless you pay extra. Again, property is beautiful! So I would only recommend if you don’t like to eat or drink.

- L (2/5): Expérience désastreuse - hôtel malhonnête - Nous souhaitons témoigner de notre expérience désastreuse dans cet établissement: Nous sommes arrivés le 19 février, chambre 5039. Lorsque nous nous sommes glissés dans le lit, nous avons découvert une énorme tache, encore humide, cela était de l’urine fraîche (ça sentait très fort) Nous avons découvert des traces bizarres sur le mur et canapé… À cette découverte nous avons contacté la réception. Une équipe de ménage (ils étaient 3) est venue constaté. Ils ont appelé leur direction pour faire constater mais personne n’est venu. Nous sommes nous même allés à la réception avec les photos, Daniel un des manager est venu à notre rencontre. Il a parfaitement compris la situation, et en compagnie de l’assistante manager (une dame) on nous a certifié qu on allait être remboursé intégralement. N’ayant pas dormi dans l’hôtel et ne voulant plus. Le manager a pris nos coordonnées en disant que dès le lendemain un mail serait envoyé. J’ai fais la réservation avec hotels.com, aucun mail m’a été envoyé. Et j’apprends ce jour que l’hôtel refuse la demande de remboursement. En conclusion, l’hôtel ne tient pas parole, et tolère ce genre de situation. C’est une honte, et le comportement malhonnête de l’hôtel laisse à désirer. Qu’un membre de la direction nous contacte et nous explique pourquoi ils décident d’agir ainsi.
- Blair (4/5): - We went to the Riu Palace for our anniversary after being on Safari for a week in South Africa Feb 2025 We have stayed at Riu's in the past primarily in Mexico this is nothing like the Riu's in Mexico 1. Staff- they are not engaging at all it almost seems as you are an inconvenience to them with the exception of the bar Manager in the Lobby bar and the gentlemen working at the coffee bar in the lobby who were pleasant 2. The food was not good primarily heavy curry dishes which are ok but not twice a day for lunch and dinner , the a la cartes were impossible to get into the app didn't work went to the front desk to ask them with zero help we were able to sneak into the asian a la carte one evening the meal there was good but as for the buffet it is no where near the selection you would get if you were at an all inclusive in other destinations. 3 Entertainment- Pretty dull not what you would expect from a Riu which always puts on amazing theme parties etc the vibe at this resort was not very up beat much like the staff 4. THE POOL SUCKS the pool is heated but the weather was 35 degrees Celsius so the pool was not refreshing it was like getting in the hot tub. There is no pool side drink service so you have to walk over to the bar to get drinks when you want one not a huge deal but again for an all inclusive this should be standard Would save your money and book somewhere else we did the Maldives in 2023 and wish we would have went back there.

The territory is huge and green, and it is taken care of very well. There are plenty of pools, and the beach is very spacious. The service is excellent - all the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. The variety of food in the main restaurant is great and everything is fresh and delicious. A la carte restaurants (tried 4 of them) were absolutely amazing!

The promises made in the preliminary description of the hotel and services were fully fulfilled. Very kind and professional staff, excellent restaurant service, great, comfortable and clean rooms. The pools, garden and beach are well maintained. As a regular and frequent traveler (more than 50 hotels), I don't know what to make of the blind, negative reviews I've read before. - Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - I had an amazing stay. The service level was very high throughout. Excellent rooms with everything you need, clean and well designed. I went on two trips, but otherwise stayed at the hotel. Was worried before my trip if I’d get bored, but there was plenty to do, the food selection was plenty (6 restaurants) and the view, beach and garden were absolutely stunning. Only minor hiccup was the WiFi connection outside the lobby area wasn’t the best. I bought an eSIM and that solved it. Amazing hike in mount Le Morne 20 min walk away.

- Markus (6/5): - Nicht leicht, eine passende Bewertung abzugeben. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gut gelungen. Die öffentlichen Bereiche sind sehr ansprechend und der Zustand ist sehr gut. Als positiv hervorzuheben ist der Bereich um die Le Morne / Capu Bar. Ebenfalls ist der Service in den Restaurants als sehr freundlich und schnell zu bezeichnen. Die Reinigung des Zimmer wurde offenbar von unterschiedlichen Personen durchgeführt. Während eine Mitarbeiterin eine sehr gute Reinigung durchgeführt hat, war es an den Tagen, wo ein Mitarbeiter gereinigt hat, nur durchschnittlich sauber und aufgeräumt. Das AI Paket empfanden wir als ansprechend. Auch wenn sich Speisen im Buffet Restaurant wiederhofen, waren sie doch für ein Buffet Restaurant ansprechend, vielfältig und schmackhaft. Das inkludierte Getränkeangebot passt. Der Check-in nicht befriedigend. Es war relativ viel los und mehrere Gäste warteten auf ihre Zimmer. Der Rezeptionist unterbrach den Check-in Vorgang mehrmals, um sich "zwischendurch" um andere Gäste am Tresen zu bedienen, wodurch eine Diskretion bei der Anmeldung nicht wirklich gegeben war. Am Ende wurden einige Formalitäten vergessen wie z.B. das Aushändigen des AI Bands. Eine Frage beim Kundenschlalter zu Helikoperflug / Wasserflugzeug wurde mit einem Verweis auf google beantwortet. Eine Frechheit. Mit viel Mühe bekamen wir am letzten Abend einen Tisch im Krystal. Das Essen war top. Der Reserierungsvorgang eine Katastrophe. Eigentlich alles gut, aber das Hotel hat keine Seele.

Une note spéciale pour l’amabilité et la gentillesse de tout le personnel qui fait de son mieux pour satisfaire les clients. Le buffet et les restaurants à thème sont excellents, les créneaux de réservation étant cependant un peu restreints. Petit bémol pour la plage qui par son côté venteux ne se prête pas toujours très bien à la baignade et au snorkeling, et nécessite des chaussures pour entrer dans l’eau. C’est par contre un paradis pour le kite. Avantage: on ne souffre pas de la chaleur sur la plage.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing service - Nice hotel, lovely heated pool, good bartenders and some staff is great. However this does not include the front desk. We contunously got wrong answers to our questions and left the service desk more confused or with down right wrong info. This led to a lot of frustration. When asking for help with simple service actions such as booking airport transfer or send some bananas to our room as we would miss breakfast due to an excursion, they were not at all interested in helping and we were asked to sort it out ourselves. Additionally no one were at the front desk when we tried to check out despite agreeing on a time the previous evening. After waiting we had to leave for the airport.
