Guest Reviews
- Teresa (10/5): - Love the staff, the accommodations were clean and kept up. And every buffet meal had a very wide selection.
- Haiwei (6/5): - it is an average hotel
- Mary (10/5): - Myself and a group of 10 friends made Sentrim our home base for safari in Amboseli and we could not be more pleased! The staff is amazing, everyone makes sure that you are well cared for and happy. The food was ample and delicious, compliments to the chef! The beds were comfortable and the WiFi was pretty good. The grounds were always spotless and the pool was refreshing! Thank you so much to everyone at Sentrim for a lovely stay.
- Martin (10/5): - Great staff relaxing place great view of the stars safe and inclosed from the parks anamils quite enjoyed my stay and would go again
- Michael (10/5): Safari Dream - Absolutely wonderful property with stunning views of Kilimanjaro, friendly and attentive staff, and a great food selection. Highly recommend
- H (8/5): Relaxing stay - Very good accommodation, shame about the road leading to it.
- Catherine (10/5): - Been coming to Sentrim Lodge for years always a great and enjoyable time here
- Suradzh (8/5): Nice place to stay - I and my spouse were there for four days. Lovely place, nice staff, good food and fast wifi.
Two drawbacks: If you are flying to Amboseli they charge 120 usd just for transfer one way (park ticket of 35usd per person not included). The funny thing is that half a day safari costs 140 usd. So, don’t see the logic in pricing.
They have problems with drinking water it seems. One bottle of water for two persons in hot climate is what you get for free in a full board lodge. Also provided 0,3 l of water per person during a full day drive and none during a half day trip. So, forcing to buy water is no good. Better they should state this in their ads “one bottle of free water a day only”, then I wouldn’t complain. Launch was manageable but the food seemed to be not fresh- a piece of very dry chicken and crumbling sandwich.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a unique place nestled in Amboseli. The hospitality is simply excellent. Safe, sustainable-focused, and affordable!
- YUANXI (10/5): Overall very good - The stay was very good, meals are delicious, employees are helpful. For the cost it is very worthwhile and it is probably the only property close to the park that is at midrange pricing. I definitely recommend it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really nice hotel and best food we had in all the places. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Schöne Lage. Strom wird um halb 11 abgeschaltet Taschenlampe nicht vergessen, WLAN sehr schlecht
- B&H (8/5): Nice Tent - The room is a large tent with a bathroom and decking out the back. It was a nice and good experience. It did get a little cold at night. The tent was comfortable. The breakfast, lunch and dinner was good, there was a lot to choose from, and everything we had tasted good. It was nice to sit outside in the back and look out onto the bush. The staff were OK.
The Maasai village just outside the lodge was a great visit, you can stop by and the Maasai people will show you around. Note, at the end of your visit to the village they will ask if you want to purchase traditional Maasai souvenirs, they will try and overcharge massively.
- Marion (10/5): Lovely. - Great place. Lovely tent. Great buffet. Pool was nice. Close to the Amboseli gate.
Only negative was the WiFi was only accessible in the restaurant when the power was on. They run on a generator and it is turned off certain hours of the day. Overall a great experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bliv væk. - Elendigt. Og megadyrt. Frarådes. Mange usande og forkerte oplysninger om stedet.
- Robert (6/5): Reliable if Unremarkable - Positives- near the gate to Amboseli NP, very polite and helpful staff, excellent food at the buffets.
Negatives- very impersonal, concrete atmosphere, and overpriced for what you get.
