Rob (10/5): - Quiet rural location in Danby Dale with excellent views of the North Yorkshire Moors and local wildlife. Nearby villages, coffee shops and rural pubs. Within easy reach of Whitby and the North Yorkshire Coastal Path. Excellent walking and mountain biking trails around dales rivers, woods and over moors. Several disused railway routes over the moors and along the coast converted to cinder trails for off road cycling with spectacular views, often with cafe's and pubs at well spaced intervals.

Louisa (10/5): - Daisy Cottage was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Great location, about half an hour drive from Whitby. It was lovely to have fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival and delicious Yorkshire Brack cake. Great information sheet was provided and we used the books available to plan our walk across the Moors near Danby and Ainthorpe. Rachel was very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely recommend this cottage and location to family and friends and look forward to visiting again in the future.

The beauty of the moors was just added to by our amazing accommodation - extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. David (10/5): Perfect break - We (three adults) thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at Bluebell Cottage (part of Church House Farm). The level of cleanliness met our high standard and the fully equipped kitchen was sufficiently roomy. The beds, with their deep mattresses, made for a good night's sleep. All the rooms were quite big enough and the TV and WiFi worked fine. The complimentary biscuits, and plum bread in particular, were delicious. The tranquil, picturesque setting was as if from a picture postcard. This was a great location for visiting both the national park and the coast, which is less than half an hour away. I had two good walks straight from the front door, with more lined up for next time. The Folk Museum at the lovely Hutton-le-Hole was well worth the visit and the drive following the River Esk towards the coast, passing through various pretty villages and occasionally punctuated with unexpected signs of the area's all-but-forgotten industrial past was both rewarding and relaxing. The initial slight detour via Danby Castle and Duck Bridge was well worth it. The views over the moors and valleys from vantage points such as Danby Beacon and near the Lion Inn were stunning. On the coast, we particularly enjoyed Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay with their picturesque villages and long sandy beaches and coastal views. We didn't get to try any of the fine selection of fish and chip shops in Whitby, but having visited Fish Cottage in Sandsend, just up the coast from Whitby, it didn't matter, as the quality was excellent and the portion sizes more than big enough. Hosts Rachel and Rory were just wonderful. They were always on hand to help out and were very knowledgeable regarding attractions and amenities in the area. In addition, the cottages were stocked with interesting booklets and maps of the area. We look forward to returning! Nothing. All good.

A comprehensive welcome book was also provided. Also a nice touch, was a complimentary tea and coffee starter pack (with a fresh jug of milk in the fridge), along with local biscuits and cake - thank you. Nothing we didn’t like. Jill (10/5): Relaxing Buttercup Cottage - We stayed in Buttercup cottage. We were greeted by our host Rachel and made to feel very welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything we could need. The bedrooms were upstairs, a twin room which looked out over the countryside and also had velux windows for star gazing and the double room with velux windows. Downstairs was very spacious with a comfortable lounge, lovely dining room with a big table to eat round and take in the views, great kitchen with everything you need and so clean and a big bathroom with shower over the bath. We parked right outside our door. The garden had some lovely spots to sit in and listen to the wildlife around. We slept so well in comfortable beds and loved how peaceful and relaxing the place made us feel. We are already looking forward to planning our next stay.

We slept like babies because its very quit and you could only hear the cows of the neighbours.Rachel and Rory are very kind and warm. There hospitality is more than we expected! They gave use very good tips where to eat or to visit. Our 10 years old son had also a great time. He could play football in the yard. The view from the bedrooms is spectaculair! So nice to wake up with that kind of view. Whitby is only half hour drive. In Lastingham is a great pub with very good food ( fresh prepared) . York is an hour drive ( we didn't had enough time sadly). hopefully we will be back in springtime! Really nothing!!!

The host was really friendly, gave us great travel tips and was really kind and helpful. Trips to Staithes and Saltburn were only half an hour in the car and were great places to visit. The local villages were lovely and the walk over to the church by the property and the view from the church yard were fantastic. The whole family had a lovely time. Nothing.

There is a herd of young cows on the farm which graze in the fields and can be seen from the B&B. Absolutely rural bliss.

Karen (10/5): Christmas gift. - We booked this break as a Christmas Gift for my parents, choosing Whitby as it is somewhere they visit often, and love. They have just come back, and they had a fabulous time. In their words, "we couldnt fault the cottage, they deserve top marks"
Sue (10/5): A relaxing break. - Beautiful location and easy drive (in good weather anyway) to coast and moors attractions. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped property. No complaints at all.
Sue (10/5): Comfortable and cosy cottage in the country - What a delightful place. A spacious self-catering cottage down a country road outside of Danby. Warm. Comfortable settee. Very comfortable bed. Great ensuite although we found the shower cubicle as little smaller than what we are used to. Good hot water flow though. The little kitchen had everything necessary for our stay of one week. However, Daisy Cottage doesn't have a washing machine if you do need one but our hosts let us use the washing machine in another cottage. The internet was a little challenging. Again our hosts went to great lengths to ensure that we had wifi capacity for most of the time. As overseas travellers this is an important aspect to us. Great views from the windows.

Richard (10/5): Charming B&B, excellent accommodation. - Church House Farm was a exceptional B&B beautifully decorated and and spotlessly clean. The breakfast an array of cereals and cooked full English. The hosts were very pleasant indeed and and went out of their way to provide information about the local area and walks etc. We definitely recommend it. We stayed there to join our friends who were completing the Coast to Coast walk.

Clare (10/5): Great place to stay - We stayed in one of the cottages, it was really clean (and I am fussy) and warm with amazing views. I would really recommend this accomodation, it's great value for money and in an amazing location close to Whitby and with direct access to the moors.
nigel (10/5): Perfect North Yorkshire place to stsy - Lovely, clean welcoming place to stay. Had to be the best b&b I have stayed in for years. Andrew and Judith are lovely. The room and en suite was huge, spotless and very comfy with lovely views. Fantastic breakfast. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay again when back in the area. Can not recommend enough.

Ciaran (10/5): Beautiful room, very clean, amazing staff. - As soon as we arrived we were looked after and offered help and directions to places we mentioned. The whole building was clean top to bottom it was very impressive! Room was very big for the price we paid and very well equipped. Clearly they put a lot of thought into their customers needs. The included breakfast was stunning and fresh and they have options for everyone's needs. It's nice to feel so looked after, excellent place to stay.
Dulcie (10/5): Peace & quiet - Had a very warm welcome, easy check in, well, hardly a check in, more a friendly chat and a brief description of the best place to get some food. The cottage is small but very warm and comfortable with everything you need already there so all you need to do is unpack. The area is gorgeous, right in the middle of nowhere with cows your only noisy neighbours. Honestly the most restful place I've ever stayed.
Sue (10/5): Perfect retreat in the North Yorkshire Moors - Lovely hosts at this small bed and breakfast. There are also cottages to rent but we stayed in the guest house. Gorgeous room with two deep windows looking out towards an old church and the open countryside beyond. Garden below our room was teeming with birds. Really lovely, freshly cooked breakfast. The owners are genuine animal lovers. Nothing was too much trouble, they are known to run you or pick you up from the local pub. We used our own car but the other couple were picked up because it was such a terrible night weather wise. Would definitely stay again without a doubt.
Liz (10/5): Lovely farm house - the farm house is in the middle of the Moors. The scenery is spectacular. We found breakfast to be delicious and liked the idea of one big table for breakfast encouraging conversation. our hosts were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. An enjoyable stay

Darren (10/5): Beautiful Homely Cottage - I stayed in Daisy Cottage with my 5 Year old son the location of this cottage is great, away from the busy tourist areas but close enough to visit most of what North Yorkshire has to offer. Whitby, Saltburn and the North Yorkshire Railway is close by. The owners were very welcoming, lovely scones with jam we're waiting on the table when we arrived. The Cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Daisy Cottage has one bedroom but the owners supplied a very comfortable foldaway bed for my son and the bedroom was large enough for this to fit in comfortably. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend Church House Farm.

Oliver (10/5): Cosy and quiet in a great location - Booked last minute for 2 nights but what a gem. Stunning views, cosy cottage, lovely hosts, perfect location for getting around, and local pubs serving great food.The family loved it and we will definitely be back for a longer stay. The icing on the cake? Well that had to be the delicious cake that awaited our arrival, fair to say it was gone with the first brew!
Bongho (10/5): Comfortable stay - Very clean and spacious cottage, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, idyllic scenery through the window. More than perfect for our one week holiday. A car is the must to enjoy the moors and villages.

Toni (10/5): - Church House Farm is a wonderful place. The room was comfortable and the view spectacular. It is somewhat isolated, which is part of it's charm, but also a disadvantage for those, like us, unaccustomed to driving in England. Because we were clearly stressed, our host drove us to a local pub so we could get dinner, and then picked us up. A caring host and hostess made our stay even more special.

Laura (10/5): Heaven on Earth! - My husband and I spent 12 days on vacation in the UK. Of all the accomodarions during our visit, the Church House Farm was our very favorite! The room was delightfully decorated and had a very modern bath. The property was located in a beautiful, picturesque area. It was peaceful and quiet.
