• Dave (9/5): Splendid Views - Fantastic views of the coast, the apartment is spacious with good parking space, couple of beaches within walking distance, was the 2nd time we had visited within a year, we had a enjoyable 4 night stay. The balcony was in need of cleaning or painting, deck chairs mouldy.

• Elinor (10/5): Fabulous flat with loads of space. Well appointed and a very comfortable stay. - The location, the view and the space. Easy walk into both Torquay and Paignton yet still very quiet at night. Beautiful gardens outside the balcony. Good shower, great kitchenette. Easily accommodated 2 adults and two children (12 & 16). Great communication with the host. Nothing bad to say. Would definitely stay again. As others have said, the WiFi doesn’t reach the lounge but we were forewarned (thank you Alex), so brought our WiFi dongle with us. No big deal.

• Bramble (10/5): - Stayed in May 2025 and loved the apartment so much, we returned for our New Year's holiday!.. The view is fantastic, the apartment perfect for two. A lovely walk into town,, a gorgeous beach.. Just perfect - a little slice of happiness. Not really a gripe but be advised the heating (Apt 1) is by request so you do have to bother the owner to leave it on all day as it's programmed for certain times and can't be changed otherwise.

• Ralph (5/5): its a lovely flat but the owners need to be aware of client safety and needs - Beautiful view apartment furniture comforable No heating on arrival 5 degrees outside so we had to call the owner and he apo;;iagied for not putting on early Cannot control the heating from inside the flat had to buy a hot water bootle The owner the next day did pop in to see if we were ok but that we were leaving Steps into the flats were not light due to the light not working very dark area and dangerous trip hazzard

• abbie (9/5): Perfect little gem! - The location is perfect, far enough away you're not in the hustle and bustle, but if you do want hustle and bustle its not too far away!, The balcony has the most gorgeous view across the channel. Not a dislike as such but I couldn't work out how to turn the heating on and the apartment was quite cold, there was only the quilt on the bed to keep us warm but it was more of a summer quilt. The option of additional blankets would have been great but otherwise a great accommodation!

• Dave (10/5): Lovely short break - Our apartment was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, the apartment was very peaceful, the views from the balcony were beautiful , would definitely recommend with Paignton and Torquay a short walk away. Not much not to like, however, a light on balcony would of been nice.

No milk for a coffee on arrival Wasn't very clean.The decor was shabby to say the least. The toilet brush was absolutely disgusting and we had to boil wash it 3 times. Cobwebs all over the apartment. Very disappointed and wouldn't take another week if it was free off charge.

• Raymond (8/5): Very good - Sea view was fantastic. Ideal location, Bed very comfortable. The Livermead cliff Hotel at the end of the road was great, good food sea views and heating! Apartment is a little dated, but could be fantastic with a little work. Wifi didn't work for the full 4 days we were there, and unfortunately for us it was a cold and wet long weekend and the heating is controlled by the host so it was freezing in the evenings. Apartment is fairly clean, cobwebs and mirrors need sorting.
• Bramble (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in Apartment 1 (upstairs) with the picture postcard view and balcony. Absolutely amazing place - my partner loved it as a birthday surprise. On arrival, I only had to phone the host as I'd not had time to check my emails, within seconds we were personally greeted and made to feel extremely welcome! As both my partner and I love to walk, it was brilliant that we could leave the car at the flat and walk into Torquay itself which we did every day to do whatever we wished and then walk back. The apartment was clean, tidy and modern, ideal for a couple with only the one bedroom (there's.a secret bed in one of the living room cupboards!). You get a few kitcheny bits and pieces to help you along - plates, glasses,.cutlery. Remember to take your own tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toilet paper (although you do get three free!), kitchen towel if you use it. I think I made the host laugh by walking in the the apartment and just going 'wow'.. Super impressive property. Nothing - everything was perfect for us. I don't normally ever write reviews but this place really deserves praise. Expectations truly exceeded!

We would have liked some cloths for the kitchen and bathroom, and maybe a sieve and potato peeler . The keysafe was rather difficult to use.

• Chris (8/5): Convenient, clean and reasonably priced accommodation for Torquay and as a bonus FREE parking. - Very convenient location, host was excellent and very helpful . We had apartment 4 which is one of the larger apartments on the ground floor and still has a sea view. FREE parking at this apartment is a bonus, please note that both Torquay and Paignton have limited parking and very little of it is free ! I understand the apartments were built in the 1980’s and the new owner is currently looking into gradually refurbishing them Note that the heating is controlled from the main house so you have to get the host to set the heating timer. The WIFI hub is also in the main house, we found the best reception in the front bedroom, reception in the lounge was OK but not great. The apartment really would benefit from a WIFI booster in the lounge

• Paul (3/5): Would not recommend this place. - No breakfast. View was good. Bed was uncomfortable and small. Fitted sheet did not fit; came loose every night. Lounge chairs very uncomfortable and cheap. Dirty walls. Needed to ask for heating to be turned on (was cold at night). Noisy neighbours. Shower was very slippery underfoot. It needs a rubber mat or something, as it's dangerous.
• Lee (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay at this apartment, - Nice location, good parking facilities, nice hotel at the bottom of the street, which we used a few times for a drink or two, great location for the local bus services, the property itself was ok , kitchen clean and tidy, bathroom was adequate , bedroom was a good size with a large super king size bed Disappointed that the sea view could only be enjoyed while standing up, in front of the view was a high balcony barrier, and beyond that a wall, we were expecting to be able to sit down at night and enjoy the views with a small glass of red, the apartment is also looking a bit tired and needs a bit of a tidy up, especially above the patio door where the plaster has come away from the wall,

The bath was lovely. It was the most uncomfortable bed , and the sofa in the living room was just as uncomfortable. The kitchen could do with an update. It was in a lovely quiet location but would have preferred it to be closer to Torquay. One toilet roll, no bath soaps, it was all a bit tight.

Has all essentials for self service Very run down and old fashioned unfortunately it has been mentained well. It is a 30 minute walk from the main town which and 10 mins drive.

• Ciaran (8/5): Lovely apartment, incorrectly advertised beds - The apartment was large and had a great view as well as an excellent location. The kitchen had everything we needed if we wanted to cook. The bed was advertised as an extra large double bed however it was in fact 2 single beds put together, this made sleeping rather uncomfortable as we would be in the crevice between the 2 bed very often this would also make the bed sheet come undone in the middle of the night.

It’s a manageab - There was everything there that was needed, the views were amazing and the balcony was a must to have and spent most of the time on there weather permitting. There wasn’t really anything wrong with the property apart from the odd cobweb ( but I’m a cleaner so would notice this)

• Esther (6/5): Pleasant - The flat was clean and the bed was comfotable and the owner(s) of the place seemed friendly and reachable through the website chat. It was nice to be able to see the sea from the living room. The location was great as it wasn't far from the Torquay train station and within walkable distance to Paignton. The surroundings are nice and quiet (apart from sounds from the sea of course). We had a small issue with the radiator as we weren't able to adjust it in the flat, but the owner was able to adjust the heating to come on for the time periods that we asked. One small thing about the toilet roll - although we knew that only one toilet roll will be provided, it did not feel nice to have to think about trivial things like that on a holiday.

• Sandra (5/5): Disappointing - Location Filthy inside drop down leaf of table...veranda door would not lock...table seat was rickety...toilet seat was totally the wrong one for that toilet and was unfit for purpose...grout above bath was disgusting and all mirror surfaces were smeared not what we expected.

• Monika (7/5): In general we had a good stay the place needs some improvement but you get what you pay . - Parking space , good quiet location ,close to local attractions Coming into the apartment without letting us know during our stay to replace a bathroom soap ? Or more to check what’s what as we received an email after .We choose apartment for more privacy and relaxation without any room service so that was really weird. Lots of rubbish under the bed and behind the drawers not the best cleaning.One of dining chairs barely standing needs to be replaced or repaired .We didn’t come to watch TV but if there is any it’s nice to know that’s working not just for a display same as the ceiling light in the bedroom.

• Steven (8/5): I would stay again as this was the perfect self cater complex - Very clean and homely complex with everything you need for a self catering experience. The room me and my partner had had a lovely sea view. The parking outside the complex is great and safe for your vehicle and the complex area is very quiet and is not situated on a main busy road. The beds are comfortable & the bathroom worked absolutely fine. The location is absolutely spot on it’s great for being on foot, wanting public transport or even driving. The man who was preparing apartments was really nice and friendly & made us feel really welcome. We had no issues with staying here & would happily stay again Wi-Fi would have been great as that usually comes standard these days however apart from that nothing was bad about this property.
