- Rimantas (9/5): - Excellent stay, very friendly stuff! Just need to take earplugs against noise for good sleep, if you will stay at weekend.

- Katherine (8/5): Great.would come again for a short stay to see the city - Good location, friendly staff, very comfortable Nothing I didn’t expect (it’s above a night club but I knew that when I booked and the music stopped at 1am -I was already asleep by midnight)
- Olusegun (10/5): -
- IOANNIS (8/5): -
- Rob (7/5): - Nice affordable accomodation, manager very welcoming, ideal for a short stay in Norwich.
- David (5/5): Could not sleep due to music from the nightclub below - Location The music was so loud from 11pm until 3.30am
- Andy (6/5): -
- Jenna (7/5): great location in centre and decent room for the night :) - it’s in a great location and easy to get in and out of the rooms, also super clean! Only thing was the check in process took quite a while, the gentleman there was getting confused as I had booked 4 rooms in my name, but all of my friends are staying there, he needed all the names and kept getting confused on which rooms were who’s etc.
- Charlotte (6/5): Cheap place to stay near town and train station quiet in weekdays but louder at weekends - It was super close to the train station, easy to find and really close to town. It was an easy check in and the room was spacious and clean. There was a kettle and drinking facilities. The price was extremely reasonable. There was music from the nightclub but it was bearable with earplugs in. There is a shop next door to get essentials and a Tesco opposite. The room was at the very top up 6 flights of stairs not good if your carrying luggage with youI had to bend down a lot as i got near the top as head was touching the ceiling I’m 5ft 7 so be mindful of that. The fire alarm went off at 1.15am in the morning time I got dressed and starting to go downstairs it stop however after this it did take me quite a while to get back to sleep. My own fault but didn’t realise it was part of a nightclub
- EDWARD (2/5): - It was near the train station. It was up 4 flights of stairs. No hot water. The shower was broken and mouldy. Low ceiling. Would never stop there again.
- Doyindamola Adedamola (10/5): Lovely stay and supportive staff - Great place None
- Fabio (1/5): This hotel should be closed and the building condemned for good measure. - The location is fairly central, but that's the only thing this place has going for it. Everything. Given that the hotel sits above and surrounded by nightclubs, we were prepared for the noise throughout much of the night.
We were, however, not prepared for the room to be as cold as it was - the thermostat was set at 15°C, and when we increased the temperature it was reset, presumably by cleaning staff, while we were out. We didn't realise this and ended up getting sick. The duvet was tiny and we had to purchase one ourselves to stay warm at night - and we still ended up getting sick.
There was no one at reception throughout our stay except for when we arrived, so we had no one to complain to about cleaning staff removing towels without replacing them after the first day.
It's also unclear what the purpose of the cleaning staff was because - and this is the cherry on top - we found a used condom with wrapper at the bottom of one of the bedside tables (see photo).
- Sharhabeel (5/5): -
- Fernando Erick Monteiro Nascimento (5/5): Ok - Quarto espaçoso e com utensílios que ajuda na hospedagem O hotel fica em baixo de uma boate, então faz bastante barulho a noite
- Rosie (10/5): Was good had good night sleep - It was clean and bed was comfy Couldn’t access the Wi-Fi
- My Name is Joe Tucker (5/5): Norwich soul night - My only gripe was the shower holder was broken so it was a bit difficult to have a proper shower The room as a hole was clean and warm tea and coffee making facilities excellent
- anthony (10/5): worth every pound - great place. n/a
- Sergio (9/5): - The location was perfect for me, close to the train station. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Needs some little repairs. And the street is very very noisy!!
- Maanwi (7/5): - Tony is an absolute star! He made sure I swiftly checkin, he was friendly and welcoming. Thank you Tony Belmonte for making my stay superb. And thank you for helping me checkin with such ease.

- Andrew (2/5): Only stay if your aged 18-25 and drinking until 0300 in the morning. Otherwise I would avoid. - The receptionist was hospitable. It is a cheap inner city location. The building door bell and the Ring door bell on the front of the property didn't work, so had to call the a number to get let in. This on its own would be fine but it all started to add up. The main light in the room didn't work, only one of the plug sockets next to the bed worked, the other had something jammed in there. The heater/dryer above the bathroom door did not work. The wardrobe was lopsided and the door on it was keeping the carcass square, once the door was opened the carcass would go slightly rhomboid shape and the door could not be closed without pushing the entire wardrobe carcass back. Quite run down (lots of paint peel and shoddy repairs. All this could be forgiven as it is a cheap location in the city, the below was too much though:
The hotel sits above Mojo's nightclub that goes until 0300 in the morning. The bass is inescapable with windows shut and my earphones in.
I paid for 2 nights, after the first night of little sleep I requested a refund for my second night as I had an early event on the next day and couldn't do another club music until 0300am night. The receptionist understood however it is all handled by other people over the phone. I was rang at 22:00 and was told in order to refund I would need to give my 16 digit card number over the phone (which is only needed for taking money off my card). I informed them I can give my account and sort code as that is how to put money on my card but they were insisted on getting my 16 digit number - I did not give it. I dread to think what could have happened, I can only assume I was attempting to be scammed. If I was simply refunded I would have accepted the place for what it is.
I paid for another hotel further out the city the 2nd night.
This place is more like dated student accommodation, the 3 stars booking.com have it as are no way verified.
- Beckie (7/5): -
- Rob (7/5): Satisfied. - Nice budget hotel, it is above a club so be prepared for noise if you are staying at the weekend but I have stayed there three times now and it provides clean affordable accomodation in central Norwich. No breakfast option but plenty of cafes around.

- Welten (8/5): Close to railway and city centre, in lively - Hotel Belmonte is conveniently located at walking distance from the railway station and the old city centre. The room was basic, but clean, comfy and warm. There's a night club on the ground floor, so on Friday and Saturday night here was music from 11 PM till 1 AM sharp. I'm quite a night owl though, so it didn't bother me. The hotel is located on Prince Edward Road, which has loads of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets.
- Ireneusz (6/5): -
- Raquel Apas (8/5): It was so safe and good. - I can hear the other people's business next to my room.
- Grimwade (2/5): Couldn't sleep for many hours - The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean Honestly nothing was that bad and to be honest it was new years but the noise was dreadful there is a club below the hotel and it did not stop going.
- Carley (4/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): I thought the hotel was lovely . I liked the lampshades and the staff were very quick and polite. - Location in city and price . Very good. Shower and kettle …. More coffee. Bottled water on arrival !
- Rob (7/5): Please be aware hotel is above a club so will be noisy on Fridays and Saturdays in particular. - Clean, comfortable and affordable room Nothing
- Michelle (6/5): Good , convenient, comfortable for 1 night good price and location - Close to the train station and easy to walk everywhere The top floor very low ceiling
- robtZ6329HJ (8/5): Another good visit - Room was comfortable and clean, coffee and tea replinished everyday. This hotel is well located for the train station and the city, be aware it is above a club so Friday and Saturday there will be some noise.
- Alan (8/5): - Very well placed for exploring Norwich and close to the railway station, too. The staff were lovely and helpful.

- Barbara (10/5): - Zona perfetta sia per andare nel centro di Norwich, sia per andare nel Riverside dove c'è anche la stazione. Camera piccola ma confortevole con tutto il necessario, pulita.
- ANGUS (4/5): - No electricity in room when we arrived..had to wait 30 minutes...Hole in wash basin..they fixed it with sellotape....music playing in nightclub downstairs, didn't finish till 4am..
- Lee (1/5): Frustrating not getting my refund despite it being their mistake - I booked this place for an overnight work stay, I arrived to find the door locked and was unable to gain access despite ringing the bell. I phoned the number on the door to be told somebody was at the property and would come and let me in. I waited 45 mins and despite ringing the number a few times nobody came to open the door. So I had to book another place to stay. I was later phoned by Mr Belmonte who was very apologetic and promised me a refund but this never materialised and booking.com refused to intervene as it was after the check in date I didn’t get past the front door
- Paul (7/5): Great location, good value. - Great location. Near the centre of town and easy walk from station. Very clean. Shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold with even with small adjustments it made no difference. Weak water pressure in shower. Hot tap in sink didn’t get hot for shave. Room 7
- Teresa (10/5): -
- Ioannis (8/5): -
- Marie (5/5): It ok could be great - It was a nice size room, and the bed was comfy . The staff was very friendly and helpful, and having a bar downstairs was great Well, the room was cold. The heater did not work. The staff couldn't do it, but there did sort little one out the heater in the bathroom did not work the shower rail was broken you had to hld with one hand it was cold there was no soap provided i think that is something every bathroom could have
- Cornford (1/5): AWFUL - The proximity to the town AVOID! This was as bad as the other reviews suggest. The location is central but on a very busy street and, yes OVER A NIGHT CLUB. I sleep pretty well anywhere but this was LOUD so combined with the sirens, boy racers and shouty drunk people sleep before 3am was pretty impossible.
The accommodation itself grim and definitely no deep clean has happened anytime recently. Thankfully I was only there one night otherwise would have rebooted somewhere else. Please do not stay here it is not fit for purpose in any way.
- Andrew (6/5): - Good location for town.
Easy checkout Stairs were very steep.
Extractor fan wasn't working in bathroom.
- Roma Blanca (8/5): - We like the location and that for a small hotel it is clean and maintained. Broken tile sink but still funtioning
- Ben (10/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): All good 🙂 - Toni the owner was very friendly, the room was clean, tidy and modern. 11am check out was good rather than 10 as many places expect. The noise from the bar can be heard but to be honest it didn't bother us because we had a late night.
- Kleopatra (8/5): -
- Claudiu-George (9/5): Lovely to meet friendly staff - Clean comfortable N/A
- Derviş furkan (10/5): -
- Laura (8/5): -
- Antony (6/5): - WIFI NOT WOKING SECOND NIGHT WHEN TO ROOM FOUND SOMEONE IN THE ROOM
THE HOTEL HAD CHANGED MY WITHOUT TELLING ME
- Jessica (4/5): - Room smells and staff wasnt friendly only came visit deaf friends couldnt socialise much had to go out
- lisa (10/5): - Great sleep Nothing it was good
- Andrew (6/5): Quite a reasonable budget hotel for a few nights, ideally not Saturday. - I liked the location, as it was not far from the train or bus station, and still near the castle, the cathedral and the shops, with a Tesco opposite. It was easy to find. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was pretty sizeable too. It was always warm enough. The view from the window, up the hill, was quite nice. The card entrance system was quick and easy. The noise, especially on the Saturday night when we arrived. Nearby nightclubs mean there are plenty of people around well into the night/morning. Apart from that, traffic runs past the whole day long, and is often very noisy. The wifi was slow, with a weak signal, which meant I could only just about get it working in the stairwell outside my room, and not at all sometimes. The TV was small. I stayed in Room no6 which meant 4 flights of stairs. There is no lift.
- Holly (7/5): - The staff was lovely and it's great value for money in the perfect location The lighting wasn't very good as the lamp kept going off but apart from that it was a perfect location and the staff was very friendly
- DordogneAnglais (6/5): Roomy but noisy, budget hotel in a good location. - The Belmonte has some very good aspects, such as the location being only a short walk from the railway station, from the castle and cathedral. There's a Tesco Express opposite, and lots of shops all quite close by. I had room no6 which has a pretty good view up the street too. The room was sizeable, as was the bathroom, and everything was acceptably clean throughout. The staff were very friendly. The TV had full Freeview channels and was not a terribly small screen. On the downside, there were a lot of stairs and no apparent lift. The wifi wasn't strong enough to reach my room at all, and even from elsewhere in the hotel, it was only just about usable some days. The traffic outside was almost non-stop, with occasional sirens, roadsweepers and plenty of noise, especially throughout Saturday night due to nearby nightclubs. In short, this place was fine for a few nights, especially if you're used to noise and don't need wifi. I quite liked it there, and would stay again if they get the wifi working.
- Driss (10/5): - Nice hotel Everything
- Antrobuslatsch (5/5): -
- Yigit (10/5): -
- Lisa (8/5): Great value for money clean and comfortable - Great value for money
- Richard (6/5): -
- Lee (7/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - Good value hotel if you don't mind a few things not quite right. Clean.
- Lloyd (6/5): Cheap and cheerful with helpful staff, but maybe avoid on the weekends if you are easily disturbed. - Very affordable and close to the city centre. Friday night/morning!! The hotel is part of/situated above a night club which was absolutely no problem Monday to Friday, however get to the weekend and it gets noisy with the sound of “music” below.
- Hamish (9/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - There has been some bad reviews about this hotel, but I had a nice stay, bed was clean and comfy, toilet and shower were OK. For the price I was not expecting much but I was pleasently surprised.
- Chris (1/5): -
- Marimo (7/5): -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very disappointing - Very disappointing from the minute we walked through the door really bad smell as you entered the property room was a good size beds look like someone had just got out of them not been cleaned bathroom wasn't clean really bad smell no point going back to the room till the club below has closed after 3am as the noise is really bad. Won't be returning
- Irene (6/5): Bathroom lights - -My main problem: very bright automatic (movement responsive) lights in bathroom. I'd rather have no lights and use my torch in the night, for my frequent visits.
- It would have saved some anxiety over 2 hours from arrival at 5pm, if we could have spoken to a person at least on phone, to find out when we could get in. Eventually there was a friendly reception.
- John (7/5): Was as discribed. Basic ensuite room for a very reasonable price. Better suited to young people who want an enjoyable ni - Close to city centre and main tourist points On main nightclub road, so was quite noisy until 4am!
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (5/5): Passable -
- Damen (7/5): Good place to stay for a short time - Loved how spacey the room was, the bed was comfortable and we got a good night sleep for sure. The owner was friendly and engaging. would like to stay there again for sure The shower was leaking which was unfortunate but over all, the place was good to stay in.
- Dudu (7/5): Good -
- Paul (7/5): Although on the second floor, still very noisy due to the night-club. - There is no breakfast offered at this hotel. A warning before-hand would have been appreciated concerning the Friday & Saturday opening of the ground floor night-club.
