- Judith (10/5): A great place to stay near Windhoek - A perfect place to stay after a long overnight flight. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Restaurant meals were lovely - tasty and very well cooked. We had an excellent night's sleep and were sorry that our plans meant that we could not stay longer.

- Tanja (10/5): - The view from this property, the nice rooms with the patios to enjoy the view and peace, the amazing food and wonderful staff as well as beautiful overall facility and pool area are some of the main factors I liked this hotel so much. The homemade bread is a total winner and the dinner was absolutely deliciously the service impeccable and set the tone for our trip. Recommend staying here and will be staying here again on my next visit.

- Julie (10/5): Perfect relaxation destination - I stayed at the River Crossing Lodge for a few days at the end of a two week trip. The rooms are very comfortable with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills. I spent most of the time relaxing on the porch of my chalet or the porch of the main lodge. I had the full board package and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
- Alida (8/5): - The staff at this property is its greatest asset. I felt so appreciated!
- Imran (8/5): - Great place. Service was a very basic. The WiFi was terrible. The good good but little option for dinner, and given the location it is impossible to go to other places.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The lodge was great and the staff was excellent! My room was superb and spacious, and I had a great view! The restaurant had plenty of delicious options and the menu always varied. The shuttle allowed me to make my appointments or errands in the city and made airport pickup super easy! The staff always went above and beyond! I had the best stay here and I'll definitely be staying here for all my trips to Namibia! I highly recommend this lodge!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Manager is absolutely wonderful. Gosh I wish I could recall her by name! The whole place is welcoming, from the reception, to restaurant staff, to bar staff, to room hospitality. Rooms are large and comfortable. The view is reason enough to visit, but go for the food. The food is incredible. I would be very happy just to live there! We were there as a herping group, and were treated like royalty, despite our dirty clothing from hiking and our over indulgence in delicious Rock Shandys. When my airport transfer didn't show up the manager was there to help. Awesome place to stay!
- Alan (10/5): great location - great location, nice food
- Alan (10/5): - great location, generally good food and service. Will return
- Andrew (8/5): Good value for comfort, - Great staff, relaxing and comfortable rooms, pleasant deck for late afternoons and evenings, good value.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful and friendly staff. They were so welcoming when we arrived and it's a beautiful spot for our first night in Namibia. Thanks so much to all!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent place, nice sunset view at the swimming pool, very nice staff.
- MALCOLM (10/5): - Awesome stay
- Nico (8/5): Will Do it Again - Beautiful setting - It was my second time at the River Crossing Lodge and I have enjoyed it again.
Beautiful area, friendly & efficient service, nice rooms and good food
- Neil (8/5): Great views - Perfect location for our last night before returning to the airport which is only 20 minutes away. The views down to Windhoek are terrific. Our evening meal was also very good and we sat out on the verandah taking in the sunset. Our chalet was comfortable but not plush and the staff were attentive. The bar closed at 9 which was a surprise but didn’t affect us on this occasion and the WiFi was useful to catch up after a long trip. We would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantsstic city view! Nice cottages with a great canyon and mountain view. Excellent service.
- Louella (10/5): - One of the best places I stayed in. It's a mix of the peace and quite of being in the middle of nowhere, in close proximity to wildlife (in my case the baboons wandering on my doorstep), and the elegance brought by the available services whilst in the property, i.e. the pool, the restaurant. It has a great view of the city of Windhoek from afar. The villas are clean, cozy, and quiet. Many thanks to the staff, especially to the friendly Lusia for looking after me during my stay.
- Mark (10/5): River Crossing Lodge - Stayed 1 night before leaving for the airport.
The lodge is outside of the city the view is spectacular, it is quiet and a nice play to stay as an alternative to a city hotel. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great view outside Windhoek - Really nice place to stay out of town. Great views! Comfortable rooms, nice pool, good service, nice breakfast and dinner. I will be back.
- Charles (8/5): - The property is amazing, and the scenery is breathtaking; however, the selection of food choices on both the lunch and dinner menu could be better and the heater did not work and it was cold.
- JHW (10/5): Breathtaking view :) - What a beautiful place? The view is amazing, friendly staff, clean beautifully decorated room. No wifi in rooms but the breathtaking views makes up for it
- Angela (10/5): Great location, great place - Finally a place to return to in Windhoek. Great location, comfortable rooms, good service and breakfast. Have been to many 4* places in Windhoek, they were all okay, but nothing special. Would recommend River Crossing any time and will be back.
- EJ (8/5): - Isolated retreat with great service and food
- a n d (10/5): Good location near airport
Off the beaten path/
- well layed out property. Rooms are spacious. restaurant offers set menu , food good
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place - The hotel, its environment, the staff, were all excellent. The food was good, but not amazing. Will definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very quiet, peaceful. Rooms are amazing. The view from balcony is priceless and food is very good.
Maybe the main reception room and the swimming pool can be improved, but it is already a perfect place to start a trip in Namibia
- JACQUELINE (8/5): Out of the way lovely stay - The staff were wonderful, very welcoming. Breakfast included a selection of hot menu items and a small cold buffet. Coffee and tea were available all day. Lovely decor and surroundings. The chalets have very comfy beds and a bench on a deck that looks over the valley. A great place for a relaxing stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best Location in Windhoek - Great place for sunset cocktails on the deck overlooking Windhoek, and a fabulous night-sky for the star gazers. The staff were fantastic – warm, friendly and very anxious to help, and food that is out of this world. The chef’s veggie dishes were quite amazing- his deep fried aubergines were nicer than those in Italy!!. It’s also conveniently close to the airport and is vibrant with conferences, weddings etc. happening but without compromising the hotel residents in any way. We really enjoyed our time here.
- Cam (10/5): Great option just out of Windhoek - My family and I stayed at River Crossing Lodge on two occasions - two nights upon arrival in Namibia and again on the night prior to departure. We found the lodge to be ideal for our needs - close to the city but far enough away to ease into our adventure and feel as though we were already in the African bush. The staff were friendly and welcoming and always willing to assist with any queries that we had. The rooms are beautiful and have an amazing view of the valley and bush. Our room was immaculately clean, showers were always hot and the room was a good size to accommodate the extra bed for our 6 year old son. Upon return to the lodge we were welcomed by the staff and made to feel as though we had truly returned 'home'. River Crossing Lodge is well priced and I don't hesitate to recommend it to travelers visiting Windhoek.
- Caroline (6/5): Mixed feelings - First of all if you are travelling to this hotel from the airport at night, it is easy to miss. It is not signposted with the brown hotel signs. Look for the second brown wine country sign and it is just near there with an advert type sign.
Our room was fine, it was just little things like a cracked basin and the towel rail that constantly fell off the holder.
The food was good but breakfast the first day had a good selection, on day too there was no bread much less choice and the fruit salad I had included a dead fly.
The swimming pool unfortunately did not look clean.
The hotel has wonderful views, but we felt the hotel needed a bit more love and care, which is ashame as the staff were lovely.
- Etienne (8/5): Comfortable Stay - Accommodation was extremely pleasant and staff were great. I was on a lay over and the location was perfect for my needs. I will stay here again. The free airport shuttle is also very convenient.
- Gerard (10/5): Business in Windhoek - We stayed here for two nights for business.
The hotel is just outside Windhoek on the road to the airport.
We really enjoyed it because of the view.
If you like the bush atmosphere with good food you will enjoy this lodge
I will definitely stay there again
- Masaki (8/5): Nice view - Stayed a night before catching my flight to CPT. Although it's outside the Windhoek, it provides good view from each room and restaurant. You might need a car to move around the town. They have a restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Free Wi-Fi was excellent. The septic tank needs to be fixed. I stayed at chalet #6 and it was just front of a leaky septic tank. I immediately realized that it was foul smell around my chalet. I did not smell inside the chalet, it was not a good experience.
- David (8/5): A very private property outside Windhoek. - A nice lodge on beautiful property. Not quite as close to Windhoek as I thought reading the info. You must take a taxi. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast good but not exceptional. Dinner choices limited but prepared very well.
- Oliver (8/5): Fantastic situation convenient for airport - Excellent location, individual chalet type rooms with good storage space. Public areas very nice and staff very pleasant. Fantastic location to see the sunset except marred by tropical thunderstorm (not fault of hotel staff).
- Valencia (8/5): Serenity - overall beautiful place needs very little change - small touches
- Frederic (8/5): a short visit - a nice 1 night stay close to Windhoek. Food is good.
- Karen (10/5): Great spot for a hideaway and to relax - Staff were unbelievably friendly, helpful and always had a smile! Loved my stay here, needed to relax and unwind and it was perfect for this. Stunning sunsets and I'll definitely be recommending it. My chalet was perfect, everything you want.
Thank you!
- Nico (10/5): Spectacular River Crossing Lodge - Beautiful views of nature, mountains and Windhoek in distance. Very friendly and efficient service by all personnel. I would stay at the River Crossing Lodge any time again.
- dr n (10/5): Best hotel in Windhoek! - River Crossing is beautifully located on top of a hill with magnificent views of Windhoek. Our room had the exact same view as the main building and it was such a pleasure sitting on the veranda watching the sun setting over the city! The rooms are excellent with TV, wi-fi, air-con, small lounge, fridge, coffee facilities, etc. We had a 3-course dinner which was first-class! Staff extremely friendly! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a top-class experience but still affordable.
