• Kavitha (9/5): Amazing, unique place; stand out serivce; wouldn't stay anywhere else in Jodhpur, IMHO. - Amazing, gorgeous property. Unique. Fabulous design aesthetic. Standout serivce - and a special shoutout to the wonderful Prahlad in the restuarant who went out of the way to make us feel extra special. The property is so well-located with stunning views of the fort - which is the main highlight of Jodhpur. Our room was fabulous. The bed was very comfortable. Our balcony had an incredible view. The food was really good. Again the service was a real standout. In fact, we cacelled our last day of tentative sightseeing plans so we could stay back and enjoy the property. I don't think I will want to stay anywhere else in Jodhpur. The shower in our room was great, but the water didn't drain fully and therefore some some wetness that should not have been there accumulated. Also the plug point near my bedside seemed to have a loose connection. But frankly, these were all very minor - the room was amazing overall. Due to the mosque nearby and the city with loud music it can get a bit noisy on occasion. But it was for short periods and didn't bother me.

• Norman (10/5): I came home to my own palace rather than stayed in a hotel. - There is very little not to like of RAAS Jodhpur. both inside and outside the room. We stayed in 2 room type across 2 nights - and even in this smaller room type, it was exceptionally well designed, beautifully light up and appointed with so many of design cue reflected from the overall hotel and the grander heritage room that we stayed at in the first night. the sliding stone screen in this room is a marvel of both esthetics and engineering. The wonder of the hotel starts from our interaction with their staff on booking.com - they are both helpful and responsive for us. We arrive at the hotel and all the front desk staff needs ZERO explaining of our booking and slightly complicated arrangement. We were gently ushered thru the hotel and the peak hour check in traffic, just the right amount of hotel tour and get thru the paper work required pleasantly. The room change also executed with no explaination on our part required and it was super kind that they put my little snack that need refrigeration back in the fridge, laundry send to our new room, they give us the new key when we return from our activity of the day. all effortless. the restaurant was delicious and service effortless. The staff just seamlessly know just the right things of what we need / want just like if you are home at your own palace. and all of these perfection are while they are having a full house and VIP visiting the hotel and the chaos ensures. This is prob my best personal warm transparent low key lux experience that I have experienced and the only place that came close is Aman. there are a few flights of stairs to climb for my particular set of rooms, let the hotel know if that's a barrier for you. The photos of the hotel on their website and the booking sites does not do the hotel or their room justice.

• Shuchi (10/5): Please stay in one of the four heritage suites if you can. - The heritage suites are a class above. Aesthetics, amenities, bedding quality. Attention to detail. Great breakfast and extremely attentive staff. A young intern working there gave us incorrect information about a couple of things that stitched us up. But honestly, can’t fault this very quietly classy RAAS service.

It was like a three star place. I will never stay here again. The first room we got had sewage smell because it was too close to the village.. Ridiculous. And the noise of the evening prayers and the music following the prayers was deafening. I didn't like anything - not even the food.

And there's a mosque next door which does prayer 5 times a day including early morning. However, the hotel staff told us about it upfront and also provided ear plugs on arrival. So, not bad but just something to consider.

• Molly (8/5): Most beautiful hotel in Jodhpur - This is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world in a stunning location. The staff is lovely. They made a special anniversary surprise for my husband and I. So thoughtful. The spa is exceptional - not to be missed. The cocktail bar and restaurant perfection. And the architectural details are gorgeous. Sliding stone blinds- wow! Beautiful at every turn. What we did not like is the it’s not 100% safe for walking on stairs. There are no handrails anywhere and the wood platform by the pool is finished with polyurethane making it dangerously slippery. Our traveling companion slipped and broke his wrist.

• Vijay (10/5): - One of the best stays that I’ve ever had. The property is beautifully designed - like a hidden cache of green, fertile ground in a desert. The staff demonstrated high attentiveness without the overwrought, hammy nonsense that you receive throughout India. Instead, the staff seemed kind and dignified - an attitude commensurate with the beauty of the facility. The hotel advised us, at checkin, that we should not tip anyone until checkout - at which time, the hotel would share our tip across its staff. The room was super comfortable with a large, well-appointed bathroom. We enjoyed the pool (where the staff would occasionally serve complimentary snacks (eg roasted corn-on-the-cob, sweet lassi, etc…). We really enjoyed the hotel restaurant more than other food venues in the city. No complaints! Really great place!

• Karl (10/5): Quiet oasis in great location. - A former grand haveli in the old city with the fort as backdrop. Now an oasis of tranquility, beautifully designed hotel with stunning pool, gardens and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop terrace for drinks. All food was exceptional including table service breakfast. Staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Would definitely rturn. Everything was great. As we've experienced at all the hotels on our tour, the mini-fridges don't really work well, small detail.

• Ruby (10/5): Incredible stay and will stay again! - Incredible stay at RAAS. The location is central, facilities (pool & rooftop bar / breakfast) are fantastic and room is super cosy.

• Amol (9/5): A gem in the heart of Jodhpur if you can afford it. - The hotel is just gorgeous. The views of the fort are breathtaking from the hotel. The included breakfast is outstanding. Arshad in the restaurant was a seasoned and attentive server who made us feel special. Thank you! The location is noisy and the sleep quality is affected even with the use of earplugs provided. It is an expensive hotel.
