• Antonio (10/5): Vale super a pena! - Um verdadeiro hotel monumento! Apesar de muito antigo, mantém-se em excelente estado de conservação! A visita guiada ao Monasterio é espetacular! E está envolto por uma área de natureza pura, fauna, flora, cascatas, túneis, lagos e grutas!! É inacreditável! Adorei.

• EMILIO (10/5): Recomendable - Fuimos a pasar un finde de julio para quitarnos del calor, y cumplió perfectamente. La zona de la piscina y la piscina misma, están genial. El desayuno, buenísimo. La visita gratuita guiada al monasterio, muy recomendable. Y la habitación también muy bien, daba hacia el propio parque del monasterio, con el sonido de las cascadas de fondo. Nos avisaron cuando reservamos que había una boda esa noche y que podía molestar el ruido, pero la verdad es que no nos molestó nada de nada. La habitación, bien, ya anticuadilla, ningún lujo, pero funcional y muy limpia. También nos gustó el restaurante del hotel.

• Dagmar (10/5): Genial - El hotel está muy bien, muy amplio (el hotel, no las habitaciones), las camas comodísimas, los baños necesitarían una reforma, quitar el bidet para tener más espacio y cambiar esa bañera ridícula por un buen plato de ducha. De todos modos estaba todo limpio y para una noche más que suficiente. Eso sí, sobre todo si se va de puente o en fechas similares, hay que reservar antes sobre todo el Spa y mejor también el restaurante.

El lugar espectacular, me he quedado maravillado con todo en general. En particular con el camarero de la cafetería. Una persona atenta y muy amable en todo momento acorde con el hotel. Muy profesional y buena persona. Me supo a poco, me hubiese quedado más tiempo.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Un sitio único y un privilegio poder alojarnos en un edificio tan histórico. Siendo huespedes en el hotel tienes acceso al museo etc, incluso fuera del horario público. Dan un descuento en la entrada al parque que es una maravilla y vale mucho la pena.

Aún así, y comparándolo con algunos paradores, puedo decir que tampoco le vendría mal una nueva reforma.
• Lynn (10/5): Fantastico - Loved it. The hotel was amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was spotlessly clean. The dinner was lovely and the breakfast was self service with a large variety of things. If I had a fault it would be the lack of a bin in the bedroom, but that's the only thing I can think of that was negative.It's five stars from me. The gardens, which you get an amazing discount at reception if you stay, were absolutely incredible would go back in a heartbeat.

• David (6/5): - Like a surreal episode of Fawlty Towers. On principle we did not pay extra to see some cascading streams. This meant there were multiple glass doors in the building we were forbidden from opening. The one outside area we could access, aside from the ok pool, was adjacent to a room with alcohol lined shelves that one could be forgiven for assuming was a bar. The man behind the counter was happy to see us off empty handed after we tried to order off the cocktail menu. Not possible. Also, no Sangria. He told us to go to the restaurant when it opened three hours hence. The restaurant hostess actually rolled her eyes at my explanation that we HAD a reservation, in Spanish. The lamb shoulder was quite good. The bed was as uncomfortable as the interior is lovely. A unique place, poorly managed, indifferent to guest experience. BYOB!

• Bruno (6/5): - The hotel itself is stunning, and deserves a 5. The adjoining park, with waterfalls, caves and wildlife (birds) is also outstanding and worth every euro for entrance fee. The staff at the front desk was also somewhat helpful and friendly. Where this hotel needs some work is at the bar and the restaurant. Staff at both location is not helpful, not friendly, and you actually wonder why they chose this as their job. One thing is not not speak English, but it's another thing to not even try, be rude, and keep repeating fast and loud things in Spanish, with not even a friendly smile and some hand gestures. We were told that the bar served food, but when we asked the bartender for the menu, he sent us to the restaurant. The food choices in the restaurant is also dismal. We had the fish soup, and the hake dish, and they were both too salty, and frankly inedible. Also note that you'll have to walk some distance between the parking and the reception.
• Alexander (10/5): Übernachten im Museum - Sehr schönes authentisches Hotel mit einem überwältigenden Ambiente eines alten prosperierenden Klosters, der allerdings seit langer Zeit nicht mehr existiert. Sehr guter Service. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück im großen dekorierten Saal. Und der Besuch des Parks ist obligatorisch einzuplanen (Nachlass für Hotelgäste): ein paradiesischer Garden mit zahlreichen Wasserfällen, darunter auch sehr große und hohe, mit viel Grün in sonst sehr trockener unwirklichen Gegend. Klare Empfehlung für ein bis zwei Nächte!

Destaca Myrem de recepción por su encanto y buen hacer, es de las personas que dan valor a la empresa porque aportan un extra a su trabajo.La decoración sobria pero bien. Lo mejor la tranquilidad y el silencio del entorno. El restaurante correcto pero para una estancia de más de tres días poca variación porque solo hay un menú. El desayuno correcto pero con la calidad muy justita. La ubicación inmejorable.

• Concha (10/5): Dias de relax - Todo excelente. Nuestra habitación tenía un balcón con vistas al parque. Muy acogedora. Las almohadas que había eran muy blandas y bajitas para nuestro gusto, pedimos otras y nos las trajeron enseguida y perfectas. Restaurante con buen menú. Por poner alguna pega, le pondría un pequeño cerrojo por dentro a la puerta de la habitación. Tienen unos carritos portaequipajes que puedes coger para entrar el equipaje desde el parking ( excelente detalle). Al alojarte en el hotel puedes comprar las entradas al parque en recepción a menor precio y te permite entrar y salir tantas veces como quieras durante tu estancia. Muy contenta, sin duda volveremos.

• Jonathan (8/5): Situated in amazing waterfall park.. - Mainly picked this place because it looked interesting. Large hallways and old decor was beautiful and food in restaurant was fantastic. Breakfast was included also. Room and furnishings were old, but it added to the character. They have made some upgrades to shower, mini-fridge, etc. View of garden was lovely (balcony). WiFi was good everywhere. Shower was nice and hot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Best part is the amazing waterfall park and discount for hotel guess. You must spend at least half a day hiking their trails. Never seen anything so wonderful. Much better than expected. Telling everyone who goes to Spain to visit here.

• Karri (8/5): A beautiful building by a pretty park - We enjoyed staying at the monastery and exploring the park for a day. It was a crowded time of year but the park is still beautiful and the pool at the monastery was a welcome break at the end.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a place of immense character. I stayed here 15 years ago and am happy to say it is exactly as I remember it. The corridors are wide enough to drive a horse and carriage through. What did the monks get up to? The park is magical. Vast quantities of water cascade out of the mountainside.

• Martin (6/5): Monastario De Piedra is a MUST!!! - This should be the most amazing best place to stay in the World! The waterfalls are fantastic, and the are is amazing, and to top it off you get to stay in the old monastery for good measure. BUT. The hotel looks amazing from the outside, it looks amazing inside until you get to the rooms. They are tired, not awful and perfectly good to spend a night in, but the rest of the place constantly makes you go "WOW" but the rooms sadly not. Then there is the restaurant, which perhaps it was just the night we were there, but the service was poor, the staff were pleasant, but the restaurant seemed uncoordinated and slow, it could be so much better. Having been previously I was really looking forward to exploring the waterfalls then a luxury stay, but in hindsight I wish I had journeyed back to Calatayud or one of the surrounding villages and found somewhere to stay there. The Monastario De Piedra is a MUST see place, and the hotel is on the cusp of being amazing, it just needs a bit of investment and renewal, I do so much hope it gets it.
