• LaMonica (10/5): Perfect place to stay anytime you’re in Miami! - The food was excellent. The breakfast and the lunch/dinner are freshly prepared. Cut the cost of Door dash. They are very accommodating to early arrival at 12. Staff was very nice and it was really clean. Rooms also nice and big. We will be back in November. Well the shuttle is 15 per person to the cruise port. We took an Uber and it was 15.00 between the 3 of us. No airport shuttle.

If you do not have transportation, do not stay here as there are no quality restaurants within walking distance. Also, the advertised bus service to the cruise ship terminal should have taken 30 minutes, but instead took 1.5 hours due to unannounced/unpublished stops at other hotels where passengers were clearly not ready. Take an Uber or cab unless you can afford to arrive at least an hour late.

• skidude3331 (2/5): A huge disappointment and will never return to this hotel. - Paid for a king bed… Was offered a queen bed. This Hyatt place was a old La Quinta hotel that was in bad condition. After checking in, we noticed that the hallways smelled like Chinese food. There was no restaurant. Basically it was like stain in a red roof inn or motel 8. The bed was like sleeping on a futon .

The sheets smelled of suntan lotion, the water pressure out of the shower head was weak. I booked this hotel specifically because other reviews said the free breakfast was very good but it was not. The oatmeal was all water with large clumps at the bottom. It looked like it was there for days. The hard boiled eggs tasted sour. The scrambled eggs and sausage patties were edible. I filled up my water bottle in the dispenser in the gym and it tasted like bleach or some other chemicals. I threw it away and bought water at the desk. The restaurant closes early so we had to walk to the Embassy Suites next door for dinner. We should have stayed there instead.

• Lyndsea23 (4/5): Wont stay again for the price - The hotel staff were very nice and welcoming and self parking right in front of hotel was convenient [although not free and have to pay but expected that]. However, the halls [specifically floor 3 actually stunk], my bathtub drain was broken, and there was a towel that was dirty [had light pink markings on it like it was makeup] and likely not changed from the prior guest in the room. The breakfast area was super busy in the morning and was not really kept up that well. The scrambled eggs looked shady and the rest I just didn't want to touch. For bring over $200 per night, I don't think I will be staying here again. There is better for the price.

• letstakeabreak2 (8/5): Does Exactly What It Needs To - We chose Hyatt Place Miami Airport East purely for an overnight layover, and it delivered exactly what we needed. About a 10-minute Uber from the airport, secured entry, and a quick and painless check-in process — all the right boxes checked when you just want to get to your room. The room itself is classic Hyatt Place — if you’ve stayed at one, you know what you’re getting. Traditional, clean, cool, and comfortable for a night’s sleep. Nothing flashy, nothing missing. For a layover hotel, you really can’t ask for more. Would stay again in the same situation.

They offer an individual service that costs $15 per person. The service at the host's and in the kitchen was poor; they had unpleasant attitudes and demeanor. The televisions in both of the rooms we stayed in were broken.

• thisismyfathersworld (2/5): Not what I expected from Hyatt - This hotel needs major updating. The seats are all ripped in the lobby and breakfast area. The breakfast was not good. Our friends were given a room and went in, and it wasn't ready, with dirty towels, etc. They charge you for an early check-in. I've never had a hotel do this. They waived the fee for us, which was good. Our bathroom shower grout was moldy, the wall paper was peeling in the bathroom. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed. The light fixtures in the lobby had an inch of dust. The TV's in all our rooms were old and had lines and circles on the picture with distorted color. If you are thinking about taking the shuttle to the cruise, don't. We were scheduled to leave at 10:30 am, but didn't leave till 10:45, then stopped in the city to get more passengers, sitting there for an hour waiting. Our 11:30 scheduled arrival time at the cruise ship ended up being 3+ hours later. The driver of the bus [we were told it would be a shuttle van] couldn't understand english so you couldn't ask questions. We ended up telling him to pull over and just let us off at the terminal, and sprinted to our ship on our own. The staff was very nice, but the service and the hotel itself were the worst. I use to think all Hyatt's were nice, but not this one. We ended up going next door to Embassy Suites, and they welcomed us with Super Bowl party tickets [beverages and snacks] and even offered a free shuttle to the airport [we didn't even stay there].

Room was clean but also in poor condition: stained and ripped rug, furniture and non-functioning blinds. Staff was very professional but lacking options.
