Guest Reviews
- Alan (2/5): - Moldy shower, no hot water, floor was nasty. Expedia needs to not have this place as an option..
- Michael (10/5): - Great
- Daniel (8/5): - Quiet street. Close to R. A. Long Park and Safeway. Within walking distance of Longview Transit Center.
- Tommie (2/5): - Room was dirty. Hair all over in the corners, shower didn't drain.
- Lance (2/5): - The property smelled of urine, the office I had to hold my breath to be in. I tried to move my room away from the office because of the smell they refused even though they had vacant rooms, refused to cancel my booking or refund .
- Barbara (8/5): - They checked me in and out quickly. I was there for one night only and it was close to where I needed to go. It was close to restaurants so I had my choice of places that I wanted to eat at.
- Lori (2/5): - The place is a flophouse with more rules than a prison posted on every door. Cheap and run down and full of long Time residents that look like the homeless. Pay on arrival. Seedy on the extreme. Should NOT be listed by Expedia. EVER.
- Dale (6/5): - Check-in time was 2-6 PM. 6PM is too early. I had to make special arrangements to check in at 8PM. There was confusion over my departure date. The owner asked me to leave a day early out of her confusion, but later got it straight. The WiFi was terrible—reception was okay, but it was limited access not allowing access to most web sites.
- Sebastien (2/5): - This place was hilariously bad. For how bad it is, I would tolerate it for half the price and not complain, but for around 80 a night, this was surreal.
Moth eaten curtains, the door had gaps on the seals big enough to fit an envelope through and the front office (right next to my unit) had a strong smell of cat urine, so that seeped into the room. The sheets were also moth eaten and bare, plus the pillows were about as thin as a deck of cards, I woke up with spiders on me twice. Did I sleep in Washington state or in a motel in the heart of the Congo?
I rate it high on staff and cleanliness, only because the room smelled freshly bleached and I only shared two sentences with the three staff members I saw at the front office. Everyone was so alien. There was some other guest in a wife beater who stood outside twice and looked like he wanted to fight me. It was straight out of a Modern American Literature novel. Simply unreal.
- James (4/5): - On my third night (of 3 reserved), the manager incorrectly insisted I wasn’t booked for that third night, although my Expedia reservation clearly showed that I had reserved and had paid for it in full. Manager insisted, incorrectly and rudely, that “you should be gone” . . . I did then leave, under protest. The manager owes me a refund for that paid-for third night. I await that reimbursement.
- Ronald (4/5): - Floor was sticky when I walked across it. Very poor lighting and the window curtains are horrible. Door had a gap you could see light threw. Lady at counter was fast and got checked it fine.
- David (2/5): 7th most beautiful town’s crown jewel - What a dump. The office and our room had an overwhelming smell of dog urine and poop. On top of that, they added plug-in perfume dispensers (2 per room) that added a sickening sweet chemical overlay, similar to formaldehyde. The “bed” was a queen sized cot on a folding frame and the mattress had all the comfort of a sheet of plywood. The 2 pillows were flat as pancakes and equally comfortless.
The furniture and walls bore disturbing signs of domestic violence.
There was a high intensity night outside our window that the threadbare curtains did little to block. We would have left immediately were not all other hotel rooms in the town inexplicably booked. I read that Longview was deemed the 7th most beautiful town in the country, but after visiting I have to assume this was written in jest or the author’s concept of beauty was formed in a gulag.
- Kayce (2/5): - This property is terribly run-down with limited privacy and parking. Nothing to ifferfor amenities and staff were combative and violent with customers. Very bad place!
- Aimie (2/5): - Not worth the money we paid, and the office smelled of animal urine and this is a long term property not a real hotel!
- Verified traveler (8/5): quaint older with modern pricing - it was very clean, but the condition of the furniture left a bad taste in my mouth. Retro 1950-60 is really not suitable to today. the Bed was a laughing matter! could have played tetter-totter on it.
- Burma (4/5): - No cups for drinking. Dirty and had nerve to charge me $20 cleaning deposit.
- Burma (4/5): - It was quiet but not clean. There were no cups in room for drinking. I had to use a empty pop bottle for water
- Kristel (6/5): - First room was filthy, no heat. Moved us to a cleaner room with heat that would not shut off. Friendly helpful staff, quiet for a Saturday night. 11:00 am on the dot Sunday morning the owner pounds on the door for us to check out. Of all the places we've been, never have we been awoken to check out. Most places are pretty lenient about that.
- Brian (2/5): Scary - This place is a dive, no wait its a super dive. No service to the room during a week stay, blood stains on the bathroom door along with some splatter, slick staircase, uneven floors. Its really really bad. I woukd rather sleep in my vehicle then stay there again.
- Michael (4/5): Clean but divey - First, the good. Everything was clean, and all of the fixtures were in good repair. The hot water was hot, the cold water cold. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Surprisingly, there were even a couple of nice decor pieces in the room.
Now, for the not so good. My nominally king sized bed was a queen. The tile floor was cold beyond belief. Every outlet near the bed was switched so they turned the lamps on and off, so I had to unplug the lamps so I could use my CPAP in the dark.
This property appears to have had a recent make over, with new paint and touch-ups.
As for the service, the staff were great up until just before check out, when my traveling partner got a call from the front desk asking if she would be staying another day. Check out is at 11:00, the call was at 10:30.
This motel has a number of crime abatement rules, such as requiring all visitors other than registered guests to sign in. If they were needed, they appear to be working, as the property was quiet and had no problems on a Saturday night.
Oh, the property offers a $5 Starbucks card for 4 or 5 star reviews. Guess I'm not getting one.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was cold and the air conditioner did not work
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I cancelled this reservation. I am hoping that I was not charged!
- Bob (2/5): - Every thing was bad. beds were worse than sleeping on the ground . Floors were dirty fist room heater never worked. Could not lock room
- Alan (2/5): Office closed when I arrived. - The office was closed when I got there and I could not get my room. If they want to keep bankers' hours they should run a bank.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was close in but it has live in's and that says it all
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is NOTHING like advertized!! It was filthy!!The curtains did not even fit the window and were shredded and filthy!! The smoke detector had a plastic bag on it so i asked the front office and she sent her husband in he pulled it off and whent to walk out and i asked him to test it...and of course it did not work. The people that were staying there appear to be living there and did not look like a safe croud of people.
We HAD to just check out and leave right away.
I do NOT Recoment this place at all.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing. I had to go sleep with my cousins because of the man staring at us like we were up to no good. The room was not clean and smelt of mold. Staff attitude was terrible. No wonder this motel was given such a low rating
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This was the worst place I have ever stayed at. It was dirty and disgusting. The bed was a metal frame with springs in the middle and a thin mattress was on top of it. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that Expedia would even list this facility on their site. I didn’t sleep all night worried about rats or bugs in the room. This property should be condemned!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): A éviter - Accueil froid.
Matelas trop dur.
Bruit aux alentours.
Desk fermé lors du Check où ta 07h30.
A vraiment besoin d’une bonne rénovation.
Le personnel doit être plus avenant vis-a-vis de leurs clients.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bowling - Okay for the price, but the bed was too stiff.
- Monte (10/5): Retro feel - Only one night but I love the retro feel it has. The room was huge in comparison to other single bed rooms I have been in. All in all I would most definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean rooms. Good location. They did not serve coffee but gave a Starbucks card. The Starbucks was in walking distance
- James (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever - The rooms are very old the furniture wasn't clean the toilet didn't flush, curtains were all stained. Overall not a very pleasant stay. Would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Don’t go there ever, did not have reservation, total dive, remove this place as a listing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I can't honestly tell you! I only stepped foot into the office. They had my reservation, but first question asked was, and I quote, "Why are they renting a 2 bed when we don't have a 2 bed room" The manager then went on to offer to move a bed into a room and make it a 2 bed room for us. When I placed this reservation, EXPEDIA took my credit card information and therefore, in my mind, upon receiving reservatio confirmation email, I assumed I had paid for the room. This is not the case as I read the "small print"...pay at time of check-in. WHY THEN, was I required by EXPEDIA to provide my credit card to EXPEDIA? Needless to say, My family of 4 did not stay at the Longview Inn as a single bed room STUFFED with another bed was absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE nor AS ADVERTISE, On another note, the "owners" of the property saw the picture of the "ROOM" and stated...and I quote..."That's NOT a picture of any of our rooms"! What an inconvience perpertrated by EXPDIA on my family over 1800 miles from home in a part of Washington that had High School graduation. I had to settle for the LAST room at a low rent motel in Kelso, WA. I just so happened to be a SMOKING room. WE are non-smokers...but we had a bed! I will be contactind EXPEDIA by phone as soon as I return home. Could not be less impressed with EXPEDIA!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is an older motel. It appears that they are trying to make improvements. My room was clean, the shower hot and the bed ok.
- Rose (2/5): No reservation made - I'm waiting to hear from you since you took my deposit and didn't book my reservation. The hotel didn't have my reservation and they were all booked up. They said you shouldn't have taken a deposit from me. You sent me a conformation email but the Longview Inn had no knowledge of that. What's going on here?
- James (4/5): - This is the quintessential one-star property. Sketchy area and run down property. The fridge made a hum but didn't get cold. No coffee and no ice machine. The bed was on a metal raised frame with a single mattress on top so you could feel the bars underneath. My back hurt for days and the pillowcases smelled weird. There was trash on the floor behind the trashcan so cleanliness was suspect. Great place to see drug dealers and hookers though. But there was a bigfoot statue outside which was cool when you could see it in between police cars coming in with lights flashing. Avoid unless desperate.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - wasn't the greatest place to stay. the shower looked scary and not all the lights worked and the fan in bathroom didn't work!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't Stay Here. - Internet barely worked. No coffee in room or in office. Not worth the price. Wish I would have spent a bit more and stayed elsewhere
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad service - They don’t advertise that their isn’t a 24 hr front desk person so we arrive at 1110 pm and they closed at 11 no answering machine either. So we had to find another motel.
- Karl (4/5): Nothing worked - TV remote had to be replaced, then wouldn't turn the TV off or adjust volume. Wi-fi kept going down so I gave up. Curtain broken, would blow high if fan/AC turned on.
- D (2/5): - Wow, this one is bad, guess that is why they make you put another 20 down as a deposit and have to wait until they "examine" your room after your stay before it is returned. Very weird. Avoid this one.
- Zady (6/5): - They charge 20$ extra for nothing. The bathtub was clogged. I wish i knew they werw going ro charged me those 20$, so i wouls choose a different hotel.
- Derrick (2/5): Worst place ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - This was the wores place I hve ever tried to get into I arrived at 11:30 and called the number to get in and they would not answer the phone or door. Called Hotels.com and they tried and they were told thatthey were not coming to the door to let people check in. Prepaid for the room and never got my money back be ware of this place. Find a rest stop for better services.
- Alex (2/5): Nasty inn - Nasty and over priced. Did not get $40 back like they said I would either. Overall awful one of worst stays I have experienced
- Marina (2/5): do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere - so many things wrong, don't even know where to begin.... towels looked like they were used to clean the floors, and even those we had to beg for. they would not clean our room, since they only did it once a day at 9am and we were asleep at that time. The water pressure was so low, that the shower was hardly working and was just above room temp. Then the day before we left, they turned the water off completely to do plumbing, without notifying us ahead of time, and it was off for over 24 hours. All complaints or request were basically dismissed and not addressed at all by the staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - First room smelled like cigarette smoke. Second room had candy papers on the floor and had no water for 6 hours. Toilet would flush slowly and took 15 min for tank to refill. We canceled and left.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - THIS PLACE HAS BEDBUGS! When I informed the front desk, I was treated terribly and was refused a refund. This was hands down the worst motel I've ever stayed in, and I've been to several low rate inns.
- vicki (10/5): A Hidden Gem - Welcome. Come in and feel right at home. Great bed. A love seat for cuddling. Big shower with plenty of hot water.TV with Movie Channels and good reception. WIFI. I will definitely stay here again.
