Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): - 家庭套房觀景酒店 NO GOOD,家庭套房家庭套房觀景酒店 NO GOOD,觀景酒店 NO GOOD,家庭套房觀景酒店 NO GOOD
- Lynn (6/5): - Parking was good with ample space during our stay. Good Wifi connection in the room. Aircon was cool & comfortable for the hot weather. Walking distance to nice eateries and shops. Hotel is popular with tourists & families. Bathroom with toilet & bathtub was quite run-down. Overall ok with the budget pricing.
- leahmizuki (10/5): Fantastic. its actually alot better than most budget hotels. - Amenities were sufficient, even a hair dryer was available, the room was spacious and they had an hair dryer even. The dressing table was decent and a closet was available for putting in clothes. The room is clean and the bed was firm and nice to sleep on.
- Cheng-Hsin (4/5): - 廁所很小很髒,服務人員態度不錯
- Ar (10/5): - Singapore bus and transport is ease and service is outstanding. Using google maps, we could get anywhere easily with the Right change for payment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 욕조있음.미니.좋았어요 - 가격대비좋았어요
- Suzanna (8/5): - The bed was very comfortable. It was great to have a mini bath rather than just a shower but it could have done with a shower curtain. The room was nice and clean but unmatching very cheap furniture made it look dated. Service was not as good as I expected for the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was larger than expected but good. and provided amenities are ok
- Abner (2/5): - Not recommended very dirty lots of cockraches at the toilet. Toilet bowl and bath tub is old and lot of stain and smelly.
- dbowers07 (4/5): Meh. - This is a budget hotel. You get what you pay for (for Singapore). It was clean. About 15 minutes from 2 MRT stations, with buses near by. The room was quite small (we initially were going to sleep 4 adults in one room but once I saw the room I book a room at the hotel across the street for half the price, FYI). The main thing was the noise level - the walls are paper thin. The main guests of the hotel appear to be mainland Chinese tourists who, culturally, are not quiet in hotels. I don’t expect them to be quiet - but I do expect buildings to be better insulated. There were a few nights we woke up in the middle of the night with arrivals or departures of guests who were not quiet - and the walls have NO insulation. Don’t stay here to rest - stay here as a place to go to and from the city. Also - note that it is in the red light district. Despite this, it is not “obvious” or dangerous.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fair value for the room - comfortable, clean 2 star hotel.
- Chih-Wei (10/5): 很棒的經驗 - 櫃檯很友善,很幫忙
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The price is cheap and affordable. Location near to National Stadium which is my requirement to attend the U2 concert. However, the smell in toilet is bad. Don’t know what is it. 3/5
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good and cheap
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great cheap and many food
- Peter (8/5): Holiday - The room was nice, the bed big enough and comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean beds in a budget hotel - Front desk provided great customer service and accommodated us. Although the hotel does need some updates in all rooms, however the bed was quite clean and comfortable. It is situated in an area where you have access to great foods and grocery stores that we walked to which was convenient. For a budget hotel it worked for us as we had a short stay. If only they could provide more channels beside the 2 that was available (only 1 of the 2 was in English
- ajay (8/5): only one problem they have no fridge no microwave. - OK
- Verified traveler (8/5): - affordable for a budget trip. staffs are friendly.
- SuperHolde (2/5): Smelled like my uncles wet socks - Okay, hotel pricing in Singapore is quite expencive compared to other Asia. So we
picked this hotel because the price was bit lower than other hotels. Also the pictures looked quite good. But lets be straigth. This hotel is ugly, dirty and everything what a bad hotel could be. I'm not sure if there is even housekeeping in the hotel. There was condoms and after sex tissues under our bed. The floor of the room was full of trash and dust. Rooms smelled like my uncles wet socks and there was mold. My girlfriends astma got really bad because of the mold in the room.
- Kim hock (4/5): won't stay again - no comment
- 606nicem (10/5): Friendly staff - Dont expect much about the hotel but the staff are very friendly and accommodating.they always clean the room too. No breakfast include. and no closet but we were fine about it. Room is Simple and neat.
- Thanutchapon (10/5): - Free water for everyone every day and daily cleaning The bathroom is a shower, no tub, the hotel is clean, but the towels that change for the next day will be slim. There is only one plug beside the head of the bed. It is recommended that you bring the power strip if you have many people.
- Farranginasia (2/5): Do not stay!!! - This hotel is in a very seedy part of town, its filthy!
The woman on the front desk was nice even tried to move us but this is quite literally the worst place ive ever stayed. Im usually content with 3* places and have never left somwhere early, nor do i usually complain. This place is just gross, bedding was the only seemingly cleanish part of the room, bathroom was disgusting, exposed pipes, mold, soap scum, shower doesnt work aircon freezing or nothing no middle ground. It smells really bad. It’s probably very old and has had a coat of paint carelessly slapped over top. Can hear everyone on the floor talking. Its surrounded by erotic venues and freelancers on the streets. I left after 1 night having paid for 3 without a refund and i was HAPPY to do it. I have lived in some $h!t holes, villages, boxing camps etc. when you’re paying good money though this just isn’t acceptable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cleanliness is a issue - Ain’t as clean, saw little cockroaches and rag wasn’t changed
- Odyseyy123 (6/5): Budget Hotel - Good value for money if you just want a decent place to sleep over. However the location of the hotel is along the red light district of Geylang. And you need to walk quite a long distance going to bus stop or mrt station. The rooms are quite old and smelly (smoke). Need to borrow the air freshener spray from the housekeeping to remove the unpleasant smell.
- Annabelle (6/5): Budget hotel - Friendly staff, decent rooms. However, I was very disturbed by the pests as quite a few insects were spotted inside and around the drawers which were right beside the bed. Furthermore, the water heater was faulty.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - All the facilities are old and got smelly in bed and the room.
- Hui Hsin (6/5): Kacoroch hotel - When we just arrived there are more than 5 kacoroches in the room of 4th floor. The next day change to another room in 7th floor, but still have one kacoroch inside the room. Very disappointed.
- Janet (10/5): - Cheap and close to downtown. I hope there's bedit on the restroom for convenience of the customer.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - not good experience
wifi not working properly and
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Near the public transport. The room cleanliness very bad
- Matthew (2/5): Would not stay here again - This place felt so dirty that we didn't even want to step in the shower. There were ants crawling from the vent to the desk and our bed, the shower looked so dirty, the room itself was falling apart. The only good thing was wifi worked fine, AC worked well and bed was comfy. It was a far walk from downtown core and it's in the middle of two train stations so it's a far walk to the train to get there. I would not recommend staying here.
- Khang Sean (8/5): - The stay was good. Friendly and polite staffs. Beds were too soft. Mineral water supply is limited, have to buy from the near by shops.
A lot of foods..... surrounding area.
Self Service Laundry is just 2 streets away, within walking distant. Close to Gardens By The Bay. No problem with GRAB to get a taxi.
10-15 minutes walk to MRT stations Aljunied or Kallang (East West Line).
- Emmanuel (4/5): Unhappy - The door was spoiled, toilet floor was dirty
- Shirley (10/5): - Very friendly receptionist uncle. Room 813 is the best room, close to the lift and able to see the sunrise.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It is not clean inside the room. I could see bugs too
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Front office staff is good but room experience is not that good.
Aircon not that cold even it’s already 16degrees
Fully carpeted but not sure if clean.
- Fish (8/5): - I had requested for a higher level but they have a tour group and put me in lower level...
- Radhika (6/5): - Not worth my money.
- Simanta (4/5): - Cockroachs- small as well as big in the room. Very small room. Not a good place to stay when you are on holiday
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quick check-in
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room carpet very poor.
Taps leaking
It seems no repairs are done for a while.
Photo on website is deceiving
- ssznss (6/5): Get what you paid - Front desk staff were friendly and help us for easy check in. The size of the room were not so big but its the thing what you have paid for. Bathroom amenities needs to be improved. Also, housekeeping staff were the worst one we have ever met. They entered into our room without any knock by using the master key to ask to clean the room. How pathetic it could be.
- Maree (10/5): Great hotel, walk to eateries, train or bus - I would recommend this hotel as it was clean, comfy, good service, easy walk for food, close to bus, about 15 minute walk to train
- Anat (6/5): - There is no shampoo in bathroom. Internet always disconnect at night.
- Tom (2/5): - Apparently vaccuuming of your room doesn't come standard. It's a decrepid hotel, certainly not worthy of the 2.5 stars it has been rated. Go down the stairwell and you will see clothes hanging off the railings, cigarette butts on the stairs, and even an ashtray - all in plain view of the no smoking signs posted with a $50 fine for infraction. To top it off, the stairwell is accessible to all, and when I exited, the door was propped open and vagrants that were smoking and hanging out by the exit abounded. Avoid this hotel at all costs! You get what you pay for in Singapore. Pay the extra $20 and stay in a place that is worthy to be called a hotel.
- Tao (6/5): - Easy to get some food. Convenience to go anywhere.
- Kenneth (8/5): - Overall stay is ok. Just that only 4 TV channels, 3 power points only 1 is working.
- Verified traveler (8/5): is good - good, better than most in the same category
- Ikah (6/5): - The place is nice but for the bathroom tub there is no cover for the water to stop.. So yahh and oh the shampoo thing didn't even refill
- Brandon (8/5): Good - For the price you’re paying. This hotel is fine. There are brothels all around and the closest mrt station is about a 10-15 minute walk. The room was fine and the air con was good. I was here for a week and I’d happily stay here again, I had no problem. The staff were helpful and let me use a room to change in after my 18 hour flight. My luggage was held in a room for me to go out before check in. A lot of big parties came and went at this hotel so a lot of noise during the night sometimes. But all round it was very good for the couple of hundred bucks you’re paying.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location in a commercial district. That's thing which stood out
- Juey Wha (8/5): is still good - the only thing is toilet too small
- Geo (2/5): - Very old property. Cleanliness is very poor.
Bathtub has a leak.
- Manish2801 (4/5): Not a good BnB option - The location is somewhat not so great area, though Singapore is safe but this area is know for all not for good reasons.
Now, for the hotel- I wish pictures could do justice to the room. Not clean, you can see cobwebs in the room. Room is small, very basic and average.
Bathroom is small and you will wish not to take a bath there.
The reception staff was friendly but rooms are not.
hotels in singapore are expensive, but basic hygiene and cleanliness is must.
- elaine (6/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel that allow us to very very late check in
- nurul ain (6/5): Ok - Ok
- ggjocson (6/5): Family traveler - We've stay here for couple of nights. Everything is good, the reception, the amenities (special mention: wifi). Recommended for budget traveler even with families. Though the locations is likewise not appropriate for kids. near food stalls, convenience stores and a few steps from bus stops.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Smelly room especially toilet. No free room Wifi. No toothbrush. No snack bars even 1 coffee. No hairdyer.
- Jeddalyn (6/5): - An average hotel for travelers on a budget. Great location for it is near to many food stalls and just minutes of travel going to tourist spots in Singapore. It is just a typical hotel with limited amenities but appreciate the accommodating staff. They allowed us to leave our luggages in the hotel after checkout so we can still roam around. It was nice of them as you do not need to pay luggage storage in the airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): safe place to stay - good and safe
- FretzFernandez (8/5): Home in between homes - Staff were all friendly, accomodating and fast. I was given the requests I had made during online booking.
Room was clean and size was okay. Cozy and comfortable.
A good distance from the MRT stations, be prepared to move, walk and maybe a bit of sweat to reach Aljuneid/Kallang station. Catholic church within 8 minutes by taxi.
A family-friendly place.
- lalanthak (6/5): Good for the money we spend - Well.. this hotels has many pros and cons.
Pros.
Easy reach to the Airport at amount of $20-22
Daily house keeping
Well trained and English speaking helpful staff (Staff is very generous and supportive)
Safe place to stay
Surroundings with many of choices of foods, restaurants and 24Hr Super market
Easy access to the public transport (well... around 800-1000m to MRT)
Very good for the travelers who are traveling all the day
Cons.
Located in Red light district (But no disturb from that)
Rooms are very smaller (Including bath room)
Hotel fragrance is not that attractive.
Internet was badly slow and sometimes it is not accessible.
For us it was manageable as we traveled all the day long and we came to hotel only for a sleep at night. I recommend to buy a Internet card from Airport for the duration of this visit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): NOT RECOMMENDED. - I pay for quadruple room, bt the room is for double bedroom, they just push the twin bed to one side and add another twin bed. The room is so small. Bathtub is also very old and look like very dirty. the hairdryer is nt function well. They just change another hairdryer to me after i force them several time. So bad service and quite expensive compare with my first day i stay with other hotel. the room only have one plug. Really disappointed.
- JojieG (6/5): good for its price - The staffs are accomodating. We arrived earlier than the check-in time but we were allowed to leave our luggages in a secured room. The place is walking distance to chinese, indian and other local restaurants/shops, even money changer and bus stops.
Its an old hotel but upper floors are new or newly renovated. The rooms are small for 2 double beds that only one person can walk to get to the next bed and toilet. Water supply in toilet is good but sliding door doesn’t have lock inside. Lobby has limited seats but they got 2 massage chairs for rent.
- Nelson (8/5): Affordable and comfortable to stay. - The room is clean and comfortable to stay while in SG. The front-desk attendants are approachable and can speak English well.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This is a minimalist/budget hotel. No towels other than thin bath towels. No shower curtains or door. Window didn’t close properly. The only positive thing was that the wifi worked pretty well. Definitely would not want to stay for more than one night.
- petipeter (2/5): mold, dirty, smelly, - Very very disgusting hotel! Lot of mold! And big big cockroachs! Its a terrible hotel! And the smelly is brrrrrrr. Its abnormal! one thing is a good: when I check out! And outside is very dirty, lot of indians people. This side is not singapur.
- 943limj (2/5): Too over rated - Some rooms under renovation and very noisy in July. Stayed a couple of hours while transit in Singapore. Room is dirty and smelly. The towels, were worn out and ought not to be used by hotel guests. The conditions did not match my expectations, even for a cheap hotel.
- nuningloft (6/5): Quick access with Bus shelter in Geylang st - First time searching hotel in this area, i never know it was a red light area.
Just know during our stay in there. In front of this hotel there's small shop, looks close during a day but active during nite time.
Anyway, we don't need it much. Only know, then we can take some positive side from this location.
A lot of restaurants where open almost 24 hours, durian shop famous also in this place and most important near 7-11 and sheng siong supermarket that we can buy out some cheaper food.
Inside the hotel, for the smell some people didn't like it. And we only get some 200ml water glass. But don't worry, we can boil the water cause there is some water kettle inside.
- JojorSintaH (8/5): Good Low Budget Hotel in Geylang - We went here in January with my friend just the two of us. Before we made the decision to go to this hotel, us, too, have done few research about this hotel all through internet. Most people wrote this is not a hotel of choice in any kind of circumstance. BUT FOR ME PERSONALLY....
Bad, very bad, good, and very good... are perceptions based on what we're searching for, what we need to have. In this case, this hotel provides everything i need. For me, i'm not expecting any luxurious service big room good view whatsoever i mean thinking of its very cheap price. I'm just looking for a good rest and a peaceful night sleep. And i got it from this hotel, so basically this is a quite good hotel. There's PLENTY of cheap restaurants available across the street road. I ate Chicken rice for $3 dollar only. Which makes it the food i ate for the rest of my trip here LOL.
Only to be concerned about are:
-you MUST give a clear instruction to the receptionist/front desk if you want to get your room cleaned, or else..
-this hotel is located in the Red District, but it's 100% okay with me... not as creepy as how some reviewers make it sounds
-bring your own towel
-bring your own toiletries
other then that.. Everything is okay.
- ChanH572 (2/5): Not worth staying in this hotel - Due to home upgraping my family stay in this hotel for few night. The toilet is very smelly, only 2 cup of water and no room Phone ( check in did not inform us) different from photo which I see
from the websit. not worth to stay.
- noviliu (8/5): Good - I stayed at quad room. It's prety compact, not really big. But it's a good deal to stay in hotel just for sleep and recover your energy.
But it's prety far from the mrt. We need to take the bus to the nearest mrt.
- 468marlae (4/5): Not good enough - We chose to stay in this hotel because it was near the bus stops. We stayed here for 4d3n without even knowing about the "red light district" and stuff. There was even a brothel just across the road. But it still feels safe walking at night.
+ Location. just the location *but they offer a free luggage storage after we checked out so yeah, that was also a PLUS
- They dont offer daily housekeeping. So we had no choice but to hang our towels after taking a bath so that after going back from a day trip, we will still have dry towels.
-The blanket was thin and so was the pillow. The bed feels hard on my back. We requested for additional pillow and the reception said additional pillow is without charge but as of that moment they dont have extra. (doesnt sound true to me)
-They had us use a room adjacent to the elevator and every morning I woke up to the sound of the trolleys being pushed and moved around the corridor. It was very disturbing
-they dont serve breakfast but you will have a lot of choices when you eat out for breakfast
- nizasm (6/5): cheap hotel in strategic location - the hotel is not bad for a 3 days 2 nights trip, located in such strategic place. Although the hotel is located in the red district area we are not bothered because the area is safe, clean and is quite friendly. There only 5 minute walk to bus stop, 10-15 minute walk to mrt station (al junied st). coffee shops, restaurants, convenient stores or mosque and temple is just around the corner. The hotel doesnt have room service since our room remain the same condition as we went for a walk. i feel dissapointed a little but then again is cheap what else can we do.
- Cyril Jean (8/5): nice hotel with close restaurants - very nice stay indeed. Nice place and not so small room. good for couples.
- Verified traveler (6/5): home suite view hotel in red and hotel 101 at top - although some ppl talk about the area i stayed 4 nights there found area to be safe although in the early morning u can see some girls around the hotel but no funny let them do their own business, out of 4 two nights were very noisy out side in hotel. muslim and chinese food is available at walking distance, two 7 eleven shops are available around area where u can buy ez-link card if ur interested to enjoy MRT,LRT or if u want to pay Taxi also. if u dont lnow how to take taxi simply u request hotel counter they will help u and taxi will be available at hotel in short time but u have to pay 3 dollars extra to taxi. Iron , Iron board and hair dryer in not available in room but hotel counter can provide it after keeping some advance deposit. what else you want for long stay. its good and safe and affordable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): good for nothing unless - room was not cleaned after our first night
key card for room kept failing
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible - Terrible cleanliness. Dirty bathroom with hair and smell. Had to check out and find another place to stay.
If you're looking for a cheap hotel, prefer a hostel or capsule. It will be better than this one.
- singaporean (2/5): Metal mash bed! - The bed is as good as sleeping on a metal mash. You can imagine yourself...
No hair-dryer, no water boiled, no coffee/tea and more...
Can get a better hotel with this price in Geylang.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel 101 Review - Good value. TV channels were not working well. Air-conditioning was too cold and could not be adjusted.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cheap and cheerful, good budget hotel perhaps a bar / cafe / restaurant on ground floor be great addition
- Lai Yeng (10/5): Good in town - Good and Supportive staff Nimi of myanmar.
- Yogendran Devarajan (10/5): good - good
- Yogendran (10/5): hot - Staff Mimi and Uncle David are good.
- Zachariah (6/5): Beware of 2nd floor! - Do not spend your nights on the 2nd floor. They are for doing hourly prostitution business. I found a used condom on the floor the next day morning after the housekeeping has finished tidying up my room. The used and nasty condom was not mine and it was sitting not far from my luggage.
- Mohammad (2/5): Worst hotel stay ever - The sink and bathtub has hair on it and it it vey rusty! There were bedbugs on the beds and the air conditioning sucks! Wifi was mot even working properly
- Thilan (8/5): Good for the price - Good for the price. Its middle of the both kallang and aljunied mrts. (1Km ) Room smaller than expected. But beds were confertoble. Even it situated in red street We didn't face any bad experience even in night. Recommend this hotel for any one but next time I might thing more closer hotel for Mrt for easy excess.
- John (6/5): Better than I paid for - Paid $40 per night for 5 night stay. Asked for, and got, clean, quiet comfortable room. This hotel is what it is,
budget in reasonably close proximity to Bus and MRT. Great value for money, especially in Singapore.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent & affordable price - I find the mattress is too soft for my liking. But overall, a decent hotel for a few nights stay. No breakdowns or unpleasant surprises.
- Kashe (2/5): DEN OF HARLOTS. DO NOT STAY HERE. - there are a lot of harlots in the hotel and nearby. Do no let your stay in singapore be ruined by this. better look for a decent hotel.
- mustapha (2/5): - While registering at the front desk, took about 20 mins of waiting time. Only one staff attending to phone calls, check in etc. Upon check-in the 1st hotel room, there was no tv and no hot water facilities. Informed front desk and was given another room. TV was found not working, bath tub and towels dirty, no kettle provided but only cups and saucers. Was given another room. This time the towels were found torn, no kettle, only cups and saucers, no tv remote control, reception of tv not clear. Facilities indicated in the website is totally misleading. In the end, we settled for the 3rd room because fed up from the constant room changing and money already deducted from debit card. Disappointed with the hotel service. Not worth the money paid for.
- Yap (2/5): not recommended - no tv in room, leaking ceiling, bath room
terrible, should renovate than re open the door for business,
now is more like workers dormitory
- Zenaida (10/5): Great! - Affordable price and accesibility place to go. Wonderful!
- Haron (8/5): General feedback - • Cleanliness of room/hotel: Well-maintained.
• Quality of service: Friendly & helpful customer service.
• Hotel amenities: Nothing special but at least everything is in working condition.
• Hotel location: Quite convenient.
- Gloria Elena (2/5): - Quite ok
- Verified traveler (4/5): visitor - not good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad hotel we stay so far - - Room cleanness very bad such as stinky smell in toilet.
- Hotel facilities is old such as toilet bowl is broken.
- Reception proceed check in is slowly because chatting with staff and keep customer waiting.
- MANOHAR (2/5): Worst ever hotel stay - Horrible for the price
