Guest Reviews
- Sonny (10/5): -
- Andrew (3/5): - Some staff are great!
Good size rooms Overpriced. This hotel is not on the same level as 4* resorts on the island. As others mention, it lacks facilities, staff services, security, entertainment, access to beaches and other attractions etc compared with similarly priced resorts.
It's OK to offer this sort of rural basic hotel, but should be priced accordingly.
- Bruno (7/5): Too expensive - Globally it's nice but too expensive They don't propose any water when you arrive but they already printed a bill and they ask directly to charge your credit card for all nights . No need to reserve in advance. Many rooms were empty. We were only 2 guests!!!. In fact, he hotel is too expensive. Also, the breakfast is very basic.
- LEMIRA (10/5): - I loved everything about this hidden gem of a resort. The staff made our stay there so comfortable. Thank you to everyone at Tet Rouge. We will definitely be visiting again, we love this resort, truly.
- Jennifer (8/5): Lovely but not for solo travelers - The property is nice. The rooms were amazing. This is not a great place for solo travelers. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. There is no place to walk to. You are kinda held hostage. So you are kinda forced to eat there food. Or you could take a 30$ taxi to take u to a restaurant or grocery. You also have to eat at certain times and pre-order your food. I never know what I will want to eat 7 hrs later or if I will be hungry.
- Mark (10/5): - Tet Rouge was perfect for my wife and me. Everything we needed was there, and the staff was willing to set up excursions and anything else we needed. It was a very special time for us - relaxing, comfortable, and the food was great!
- Dee (10/5): Amazing Ambiance & Staff on a Beautiful island filled with Friendly people - The staff make this property special! They are very attentive & care for you well! The accommodations are clean & comfortable. Favorite is the outdoor shower surrounded by rich foliage & lots of hummingbirds. It is a quiet resort with only 6 rooms with a lovely view from the infinity pool, swim up bar & the sea view villas. A car is helpful as it’s a drive to a beach. Hiring a driver is possible but becomes expensive if you desire to go to beaches, restaurants or sights. The outdoor restaurant, onsite serves delicious food. It’s perfect if you’re looking for some rest & relaxation! The villas could use some sprucing up as are a bit tired. It is an eco friendly resort so the setting is rich. The hammocks on the porches are a bit scary as to whether they will support you.
- Charles (8/5): Great place but staff and management could be improved. - Quiet location, just six rooms, bedroom, pool, bar, garden. The hotel is great but slightly let down by the staff, including the general manager’s attitude when we asked for a simple request. One was great but other staff not so customer focussed. Other small improvements would be not to run out of basics such as tea bags and juice, to provide nibbles etc at the bar to complement their great cocktail list, biscuits, cake or other small snacks should be available. These should be complimentary considering the price of the stay. The menu could also do with changing at least weekly. We stayed three nights but anything more and the menu is limited. They often didn’t have many things available off the menu. All small details but a 4 star hotel should have these sorted!
- Dennis (9/5): Fantastic! - The service from Garvy’s team was amazing. My wife and I felt like we were the only people there.
Just lovely people who just wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our stay which is exactly what we did. We would come back again.
- Vanesa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pranita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parul (9/5): Nice location for views but access to beach is limited. Taxis cost a lot even for a short trip. Self catering option was - Views and comfort Too expensive
- Lawrence (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (10/5): - The Tet Rouge staff is phenomenal. They quickly address all requests and are very connected. Thank you Garvin, George, Samantha, Mario, Mike, Olivette and several other wonderful and gracious people who made this stay so perfect.

- Hildah (10/5): The staff were nice and friendly, room was beautiful, big with a nice view. I loved the outdoor shower. Its a small reso - It was beautiful, clean, quiet and spacious with a great view.
- mauricio (10/5): Nice Ocean View - Property is so clean and organized, Garvin the manager will be pending to every detail, all the staff is so friendly and all the people in town knows the hotel location.
10 mins from sugar beach and nice restaurant 2 mins driving.
- Michelle (10/5): Amazing! We can’t say enough about the staff, everyone was so accommodating. With it being low season the resort was ver - Despite being a bit old/outdated it was extremely clean, with well maintained gardens, so lush and green. The staff were absolutely amazing! So kind and helpful. The food was great. The pictures on the site are outdated. It’s beautiful but a lot more over grown. Most rooms have an ocean view past the lush garden, Gros Piton is basically behind the property. Only the villas have a pool with the room, all other rooms do not, which is fine the pool is nice I just wasn’t clear on this from the website picture. Due to hurricane Beryl and I would assume the over grown foliage it isn’t possible to access a beach by foot. Needs to be updated, nothing major just small updates like replacing the rusty refrigerator, old stainless sink, permanently molded/rust in shower, and definitely add ventilation to the bath room. It’s a bit off the beaten path which was fine for us but if you aren’t comfortable driving on the left side of very narrow and windy roads or pay at least $60 for a taxi you may want to look elsewhere.
- David (10/5): - Great Venue
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kanita (8/5): Quaint and boutique hotel near Soufriere. Close to many attractions and Pitons. - Beautiful property, and exceptional staff. Food was good. We enjoyed the infinity pool and the small swim up bar and dining area. Breakfast, for the price of the stay is quite minimal but nice- egg or cereal. Comes with a few fruits. One of the mornings the staff accommodated a local breakfast which was nice.
The menu for entrees and apps was excellent. We tried almost every major item. Desserts were ok. Some of the small details are a touch amiss for the cost. For example during daily cleaning things aren’t properly replaced or replenished (had to keep asking). Some of the property feels a bit outdated and due for some upgrades. For example the fridge in our unit looked dirty and worn out. Taxi service anywhere from here, if arranged by hotel is insanely expensive. It costs $70 USD (round trip) to go to the nearby Sugar Beach resort.
- Marc (9/5): Superb -
- Thurlowe (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (9/5): Mostly wonderful - the manager, Garvin, the view, and the lovely setting are all exceptional! - Breakfast was delightful in the outdoor restaurant; staff was friendly and professional; manager Garvin is exceptional! Extremely helpful, responsive, warm and professional. The beds were quite hard for us but I realize that's a personal preference; there's a lovely kitchen but no pots nor flatware available - shelves were all empty. We only wanted to use the stove for dinner prep once and but ended up getting food to go so we did not request kitchenware - I'm sure it would have been forthcoming if we had asked. However, if you advertise a kitchen, probably wise to include the necessities to use it.
- Terence (8/5): Very good -
- Negut (10/5): Best boutique hotel in a long while. - Amazing place with wonderful intimate setting, great staff. One of the best boutique hotels i ever stayed in. Quite pricey, but hey, totally worth it.
- Izzy (10/5): Exceptionally warm & friendly staff, spacious room with gorgeous views and lovely relaxing pool/bar. - We had a fabulous stay at Tet Rouge, the location was stunning - gorgeous infinity pool and sea views. The staff were excellent (special shoutout to Gregory & Garvin who made us feel so welcome). Our room was spacious and clean with a big balcony and outdoor shower which we loved. Could have been more kitchen facilities for cooking in our room but they were available upon request.
- Zaneta (10/5): We loved our stay at Tet Rouge! - The suites were huge and the photos really don’t do it justice! Each suite had its own balcony with a table and chairs and a hammock. The suite also had a kitchen and refrigerator, a large closet, and both an indoor and outdoor shower. We loved that the layout was like a loft with a small set of stairs leading to the upper area. The property had so many beautiful plants and trees and little lights in the evening. There was even a pond with frogs. It felt really homey and the pool was gorgeous with a swim-up bar. The view of the ocean from our suite and from the pool were breathtaking! The hotel employees were all really kind and welcoming; they were really accommodating to all of the guests’ needs. They set up chair covers for us to lounge on at the pool as well as towels. I accidentally got one of our car’s wheels stuck in a ditch, and Mike somehow noticed that we were stuck (even though we were already outside of the resort) and used a few stones as leverage to get our car unstuck. A really wonderful experience and we were so sad to leave at the end of our trip.
- Elissa (10/5): - This small resort is both very sociable and also respectful of your privacy. Exceptional staff made getting around the island easy.
- Robert (10/5): The stay was beautiful and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Amazing location. - Amazing staff and amazing location!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pinchas (9/5): Everything about the hotel, it's location, staff and ambiance contribute to make the stay relaxing a - The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. For example, we had special dietary needs and the staff met them. Planning daily activities was made easy by the helpful staff. Our room was spacious and the natural lighting and spectacular views of the sea and the Pitons greatly enhanced the ambiance. The facilities, such as the showers can benefit from an upgrade.
- Steven (8/5): - Enjoyed the outdoor shower and endless pool
- Robert (4/5): Will not return. - Food is expensive but good. Infinity pool is nice. A housekeeper come knot on the door 30 minutes before the check out time to tell us “it’s time to go.” Very unprofessional and rude. This never happened to us before. Most of the staff however are nice. Beware the location is very isolated. Our drive to find Tet Rouge was an adventure and scary at times because of the terrible road condition.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Krishan (10/5): Lovely relaxing hotel with fantastic staff and service - Lovely hotel - felt very special! Great breakfast and service! Nothing
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): incrediably relaxing with a secluded and private space giving great views of the Caribbean Sea. - This location was more then I could have expected for a birthday trip with my best friend. At first was worried about being able to do a tour and was assured by message I could book everything at the front desk. when I arrived the exceptional help of the lovely staff of Hilroy, Gavin & George who was around to assist at my every need made the same that much more relaxing. Highly Recommend. Only thing that would’ve be nice even with the surreal nature is the possibility of a tv in the room even if for local news but that’s just my taste other then that it’s been the best n not last time I make a stay at this location.
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janelle (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent staff and facilities, they were all very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was, also it was nice and quiet, truly relaxing. Also, sometimes air conditioning can be a gamble when you travel to anywhere tropical. The air conditioning worked perfectly keeping us comfortable when needed. My breakfast - scrambled eggs with bell peppers - was cooked perfectly. Also, I do recommend the sunset catamaran cruise - it was a wonderful end to the day and the fresh caught bbq'd fish on the boat (side salad and mashed potatoes) was delicious!
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (4/5): Think twice about staying here - Extremely poor and rude management. Had a take or leave it attitude. Extremely over priced for what it is. The islands is enchanting; however, how the property is managed, it is not!
- Alexander (10/5): - Quiet, beautiful view. wonderful stuff, chef is just amazing
- Christopher (10/5): Absolutely perfect stay with a top-notch team - I can't say enough good things about the time that we spent at Tet Rouge. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of our time on the property, interacting with the staff and other guests and exploring the greater Soufriere area.
The property itself is rather small, but very intimate and has a fantastic location to view nightly sunsets and walk to a beach. We found there to a be a lot of great, organic social interaction between different guests, stemming from the intimacy of the property. It was easy to find activities to do with other guests, join them for dinner and drinks, etc. This was the case consistently as others came and went…so it really seems like more of who chooses to stay here.
But, for us, the true place where Tet Rouge exceeded our expectations was with the staff. To a person, everyone was kind, welcoming, down-to-earth and a pleasure to be around, day-after-day. To Gavrind, Hilroy, Samantha, George, Quint…and everyone else I'm forgetting at the moment: our sincere thanks for making our stay so fantastic! We'd absolutely stay here again!
Lastly, the food, drinks, etc. at the resort are all very good. Are there places in the area to get a better meal? Sure, a few come to mind. But they're all far more expensive and much more of a production. This is exactly what it should be for an easy, relaxing vacation where you're looking to unwind and experience the beauty of St. Lucia.
- Akai (10/5): - Very intimate and peaceful property. Not too far from UVF airport. Immaculate food and SERVICE.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really made us feel at home. Best area of the island. Bring your own wine to dinner with no corkage fee, bring your own drinks to the pool or bar, no problem. Very easy place to stay. Great food, really enjoyed the intimate feel, got to know other guests which enriched the trip.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a fantastic place. Staff were lovely and it was so relaxing
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic island retreat - Georgeous small resort with an island vibe. Perfect place to unwind and relax. Hardwood floors, beautiful outdoor shower, no TV, small kitchen for snacks and leftovers. The hosts were very caring and accommodating. There is an expansive sea view and a great sea breeze although it did get a little hot in the middle of the day. You can hire a driver or rent a car to explore the island. The beach was an athletic hike about 25 minutes away with great views along to way. The included breakfast was huge and delicious. We had a fabulous time!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was extremely friendly. Small hotel and personal attention was appreciated.
- Onno (10/5): - Tet Rouge is a really lovely small hotel, with beautiful new rooms, and very friendly and helpful staff. It’s close to many of the good tourist spots, but you will need a good rental vehicle. The pool here is wonderful!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is small and the staff are very helpful and provide personalized service and good advice about what to see and do. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and well equipped.
- Mark (10/5): Tranquil oasis - The Owners, especially Sorrin and Diane were extremely welcoming, this is a tranquil paradise, an escape from busy, crowded hotels. The rooms are spacious, open with rustic charm and amazing views. Each villa has its own private outdoor shower which feels so luxurious and special. We loved our stay here, it was the perfect base to do our activities, we do reccommend you hire your own car or budget plenty of money for taxi's as we did. Tet Rouge is a truly beautiful hotel, the grounds are amazingly well kept and are a myriad of colours representing the best flora and fauna St Lucia has to offer.
- Brett (10/5): Welcoming bungalow with an incredible view - This is a quaint 6 room boutique inn off of the beaten path just south of the petons. For St Luciia, it was close to everything on the West side. Diana and Sorin are the most hospitable hosts and are supported by very friendly staff, especially Gavin and Melissa Dinner is served most nights and is prepared by an experienced chef. They are eager to make touring suggestions and even arrange them. New Years Eve was a very special and Memorable experience at Tet Rouge. I can’t recommend this wonderful and special place strongly enough.
- Shabnam (10/5): A piece of heaven on earth - Ben and I had a wonderful couple of nights at Tet rouge. The views are breathtaking, rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and beautifully designed, pool and restaurant are clean and well-maintained and we just can't tell you enough about the owners. They are wonderful people, with amazing suggestions about the area and St. Lucia in general, attentive and responsible to every single detail in their property.
100% recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Stunning location - Positives: Absolutely stunning view from the room, infinity pool and bar. Rooms thoughtfully created with great attention to detail. Beautiful outdoor shower - like being in a waterfall. Good basic cooking facilities to prepare own food. Good to meet other travellers by the pool. The infinity pool! Were good to communicate with before arrival.
Negatives: Various things in the room were broken (including the front door handle, which fell off in our hands) or did not work (eg the front door key, which did not fit the lock). Staff seemed to have a nonchalant attitude to fixing these issues. No front desk, it was sometimes unclear how to get assistance or even who to ask. Being woken up to pay the bill on the last morning many hours before check out.
