On route to the property I grabbed some breakfast. Come morning went to draws and no utensils. Went to office at 8.30am and no staff. called the out of hours number and the member of staff was less than interested. Couldn’t care less thy I had no utensil and said I should have bought my own.

Jawandha (1/5): - This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. After we checked out, the property charged an extra $200 without any explanation. There was no damage to the room, and we left everything in good condition. When we contacted them to ask why this charge was applied, we received no response at all. This lack of transparency and customer service is unacceptable. Guests should be clearly informed about any additional fees in advance. I would not recommend staying here.

RickM57 (4/5): Don't rent us something that is not ready to be occupied - This resort of various cottages is probably a bustling place in summer months...we came in April as a getaway because they have some cottages with wood fireplaces and the snow was rapidly disappearing, so a little road trip sounded good. The fireplace kindling we bought from them was in a sealed bag and would not ignite as it was damp, thankfully we had brought a bit of our own wood to get things started ...once we gad a fire going we noticed the fireplace screens do not completely cover the opening so we had to leave the doors closed for safety reasons. The tv remote was missing and they brought a replacement which didn't work but she managed to get the tv on using manual buttons on the tv...now we used the satellite remote to control channels, but we had no volume control...they assured us the volume would work but it did not. Finally, we asked for some deck chairs to sit on the little deck but apparently maintenance was too busy to get them out of storage Our cost for the cabin with taxes and wet wood..without proper tv and no chairs was just under $200. Not worth it and won't recommend.

482maryleew (10/5): Peaceful and serene - This is the second time we have been to Tally Ho Inn. It is very peaceful and serene on the property. It's a short drive to Algonquin Park and we can bring our dogs. I recommend Tally Ho Inn to people all the time and will continue to do so. We will be back!

We went intending to cook all of our meals and we're disappointed to have only 1 small cooking pot, no cutting board, and no large bowl for salad. Our friends in another cabin had 2 cutting boards....perhaps some redistribution is needed!... Our visit was during the winter and a boot tray would have been nice to have a well. Fortunately we brought extra towels to wipe the floor.

HELEN (9/5): - Location and cozy . It had access to the lake for ice fishing. The last time we came it seemed like the friendliness of the staff had definitely changed. Lights in one room needed fixing and in the 2nd bathroom no light. We asked about the skating rink they told us it was not there priority. That was disheartening because the grandkids wanted to skate . The fire wood was very expensive.

Mariam (6/5): In my opinion, check-in should ideally be done through a reception or at least include the option to - I received the entry code via text at 3 PM for a 4 PM check-in, which felt quite last-minute and added a bit of unnecessary stress. Relying on a text message—especially so close to check-in—can be difficult if someone doesn’t have immediate access to their phone, or if there are issues with reception or battery life. It would be much more reassuring to receive this information earlier, or to have a backup method available (like an email or a contact person to call). I understand things are becoming more automated, but when you’re arriving somewhere and unsure about access, not having human contact can feel pretty isolating.
Adelaine (5/5): We like the location and the proximity to the lake.For the price, better customer service needed. - Location was good, the property was right on the lake and the window of our unit faced the lake. It was pleasant to go kayaking or canoeing in the lake. The water in the lake was clean and clear. The curtains for our window could not fully cover the window, leaving a one foot gap, so it’s a privacy issue. There is a lamp post right outside our unit and the light comes into our unit at night through the large gap in the curtains. The office staff we encountered was not the most friendly in attitude. We were two families of three, and each family booked a unit. However, the office staff would not let us sign out 6 kayaks since we are a “big” group. We were only allowed to take 4 kayaks out between the 6 of us. There were more than enough kayaks available on the beach, and we were not made aware of any such rule. It seems unfair we are unable to go kayaking all together as a group just because we are travelling as a group but made our bookings separately, resulting in someone having to be left out when there are spare kayaks lying on the beach. Also, there was disgusting red mold along the foot of the shower curtain. It should be replaced.

Trish (7/5): Cold at first but customer service for the win! - We have stayed here for four winters now. The location is lovely and it’s a quick drive wherever you’d like to go. The place is cottage-y but clean and comfortable. This last stay we had trouble with a new heating system in a cottage we had stayed in before not being able to keep the whole building warm. The front desk staff offered immediate short-term help and the manager, Pascale, was amazing at helping us come up with a solution to stay that took into account the heating issue that meant we couldn’t enjoy the whole cottage. New heating system needs some help to maintain heat throughout the large cottage.

Bertrand (9/5): - Vue magnifique sur le lac avec accès direct à la plage pour prendre quelques photos, l'apéro au coucher de soleil ou se baigner l'été. Une cabane indépendante simple et chaleureuse en bois. Pas de cuisine, juste un frigo et un micro-ondes. La chaufferie bruyante la nuit.

Orna (10/5): - The place is great about 10 minutes from Hansville and 40 minutes from Algonquin Park where we wanted to get to. We got a large and spacious unit, clean, private, quiet. Located on the shore of a beautiful lake. There were no outlets for charging devices in the bedroom.

Julia (8/5): - De locatie. Prachtig uitzicht op het meer. Veel mogelijkheden om buiten te zitten. De mogelijkheid om te bbqen. Ruime kamer. De badkamer was erg klein.
Steffi (9/5): Mooi verblijf - Mooie omgeving, ruime kamer. Heel luide airco en had weinig effect. Heel veel berichten voor aankomst.. een beetje storend, niet altijd haalbaar indien je geen Canadees telefoonnummer/internet hebt.
景观 (9/5): 位置不错的湖边度假屋 - 酒店位置很好，就在湖边。有小厨房，可以做饭。自助入住，网上check in。设施老旧欠维护，特别是浴室的百叶窗坏了，该修理了。

Anna (8/5): Leuk huisje op een mooie locatie - Bed en douche waren goed. Leuke locatie. Keukentje erg klein. Alleen afwasmiddel, maar geen stop in de wastafel of teiltje of afwasborstel.
Julien (8/5): - Le cottage est plutôt spacieux, le lit est confortable, la salle de bain très bien, et un coin cuisine avec réfrigérateur et micro ondes. Par contre, pas de table... sauf une petite table basse mais pour manger dessus c'est pas idéal ! JUN (8/5): - The room is very nice and clean. The environment is beautiful. The only complain is the check-in. The front desk closed at 5 pm o'clock. It took me quite sometime to figure out where my room was when I arrived at 7 pm. It was totally dark and no parking near my room.
