The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and nicely presented. Although they could benefit from a little updating, we really liked the cottage-style layout of the hotel. Our room was located right in front of the long swimming pool, which was lovely to have right on our doorstep. The food was good with a nice variety of choices available. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel for its traditional charm and relaxing atmosphere, which made our stay in Kerala feel authentic and enjoyable.

• KSW2489 (8/5): 3.5/5 clean, tidy, functional. Friendly staff - We’d rate our stay 3.5/5 if this were possible. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff in particular (especially the Chef) were very happy to help and accommodate a Gluten free dietary requirement. We had lunch and dinner and both were very tasty and flavoursome. Our room was clean & tidy. It felt a little functional and almost “corporate” but served for its required purpose (a 1 night pit-stop on the way to Alappuzha). Unfortunately we had an interconnecting room next to ours and because of the really poor sound insulation we could hear the family in that room coughing, snorting and arguing into the wee small hours. Someone also rang the doorbell for their room at 3am, but because of the poor sound proofing it might as well have been the door bell to our room. Compared to other hotels we have stayed in during our trip to Kerala (at the same price point), Rhythm just wasn’t as good. It certainly wasn’t awful, but others have been better.

The electricity went out a couple of times, which left us sitting in the heat and feeling very uncomfortable. It was quite frustrating, especially during the night. Also, they don’t have an in-house bakery, which was inconvenient as we expected fresh snacks or breakfast options on-site. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for.

Athira CR was amazing and applied a great amount of pressure, probably the most deep massage I’ve ever had but enjoyed so much. The hot oil is tooooo good :) Definitely recommend

• 473adarshs (2/5): Worst resort ever - I booked this place for a 3 night stay and I cannot wait for the 3 nights to end quickly. I made a mistake by booking this terrible resort. How this place is 5 star - I do not understand. This is one of the biggest Indian hospitality scams. Who decided to give these below average places 5 stars needs to be investigated first. I will start with the rooms first which is awful, terrible, outdated, smelly & very dirty. The rooms in this place require a much needed upgrade. Customer service is shocking & scary to say the least! My son required some bandages for a cut on his finger which happened before we arrived here so I called the receptionist to ask for some bandages and first aid so we can provide some basic dressing. The receptionist then informs me they do not have first aid and they do not have any bandages as it’s out of stock? I could not believe what I was hearing. 5 star resort? Wow! They Do not have a basic first aid and bandage is out of stock? I then asked to speak to a manager and now the lady informs me they are on their lunch break, I said okay call me once they are back. I received another call from same lady informing me now that she is new and there is bandages and now they are bringing it. My question to this resort management is - don’t you give the basic knowledge to your new employees on the importance of first aid ? Why was she not informed on where the first aid is or how to get them. What would you staff members do if there was major medical incident at your resort? After this incident I still haven’t got a call from the resort manager or a follow up chat as I did request to speak to management team at this resort. I was then required to take my son to a nearby hospital which someone at the reception assisted to arrange their HR manager to take us in their car to the nearby hospital and the person waited with us, which I am grateful for and I thank the 2 staff who assisted me for this matter only. With our booking we got Breakfast, lunch & dinner. To be honest the food is decent and the lunch menu was amazing. Top quality food that is the only good thing I can say about this resort. The service and staff in the dining department is terrible. Firstly you ordered a simple soft drink once you sit at the table which does not even arrive even after you have now started your desserts. I then enquired with the staff where is the soft drink, he then informs me he forgot about the drink. I said okay cancel the drink it’s fine. Another occasion I ordered something from the menu and they bring me the complete opposite which I said okay don’t worry so I had it otherwise I will have wait another 1 hour for my food to arrive. Another occasion I ordered a simple orange juice for my child which took almost 45 mins to arrive and by the time it did my son was sleeping. I really do not understand the basic service from the dining department, why is there such a delay in service when the resort is not busy and you have plenty of staff available. The resort offers a free 1 hour boat ride so we tried it on the first day we arrived. We boarded this boat with all other guests. There is only 1 person driving the boat and he is by himself with no other hotel staff present. I was sitting there thinking we will get some sort of safety briefing or basic instructions on what to do if an emergency occurs but we got nothing. The person just drove us around with no communication of any safety instructions. I could not even see any life jackets in this boat. To anyone staying here I would not recommend you board their boat. Electricity cut offs - It happened serval times during our stay and nothing was informed to us. Once it happened in the evening and we had to use phone torch to see around before the electricity came back on. Overall this is one of the worst resort experience I have had in Kerala. Whoever runs this place needs to sort this mess of a resort big time. Thank you very much for ruining 3 nights of my time in Kerala.

If you don’t have a poolside room there is really nowhere to sit once you come out of the pool. Entertainment on an evening was amplified so really loud. We were staying in the room above so was a bit distracting . Apart from that a nice relaxing place to stay for a few days for us.

Swimming here during the "golden hour" as the sun sets over the backwaters is an experience I won't forget. • The Accommodations: We stayed in a Poolside Cottage, which featured a lovely open-air shower and a private sit-out area. The whole experience from reservations to the communications the day before and the actual day of visit were all top notch and world class. What a wonderful arrangement of rooms around the pool and leading up to the lake. Rooms are beautifully appointed. The view of the lake from our room was breathtaking. I particularly wanted to mention Ms Anjana. Her smiling face and warm communication on all the matters we needed, including celebrating a birthday and arranging for sandwiches for our onward trip made it very enjoyable. Thank you to the management and staff for creating such wholesome places for us to relax and enjoy.

The staff are so welcoming and they make sure that your every need is met. The ambiance and the surrounding environment are truly magnificent. The food in the restaurant is super and the waitresses ( Ashma and Ashme ) were so friendly, interested in what we were up to and full of local knowledge. They made our meals very special. • Poonampadhal (10/5): A soulful escape at Rhythm Kumarakom - Our 7-night stay at Rhythm Kumarakom was pure serenity. Each day began with rejuvenating Ayurvedic massages that melted stress away, followed by delicious, thoughtfully prepared meals. Chef Gopi’s warmth, the therapist’s (Gouri, Athira and Dr Anjana) healing touch, Ashna’s thoughtful service made dining a delight and the staff’s genuine care made us feel truly pampered. • elena_kvetka (10/5): Staycation in unique hotel with the longest pool in India’s resort - I really enjoyed my time in this unique resort in Kumarakom! The resort is designed to relax and rejuvenate soul, body and mind. Here we could really enjoy the solitude and immense natural beauty that connected us to the nature and God. One of my favorite areas in lobby is small pond with amazing fish & turtle. We stayed in 'Poolside premium cottage' room with terrace & pool view and could even meet cute guests in the morning. I liked that shower and bathroom was on the street so we were fully connected to the nature. Hotel is unique because it has India's longest swimming pool in a resort, which stretches across 150 meters. It has beautiful tortoise water and really a lot of space for water activities, swimming, chill or even floating great breakfast (for the best memories). At ‘Vembanad Poolside’ restaurant you can have delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner where everyday you can try something new. Even for a breakfast you have a choice: buffet with multi-cuisine or floating breakfast in the pool near your room. Don’t miss their lunch with beautiful presentation! I can advise Kizhi prawns biryani, herbed grilled fish & vegetable stew with appam. During dinner buffet you can try local Kerala delicacies too. Every evening you can take Shikara boat rides to enjoy the serene views of Vembanad Lake. It’s complimentary for guests of hotel. We enjoyed our boat trip and sunset! Before a boat ride you should visit ‘Vembanad Poolside’ restaurant for evening tea where you can try some Indian snacks and drink coffee or tea. Here I tried delicious Dal vasa for the first time. In hotel you can find a good SPA with variety of Ayurveda therapies, gym, games zone.

The delay in giving the pre- booked rooms and not picking up our luggage from the stairs for one hour felt awful. They certainly need a good manager to boost the resort in this dead town. In fact, they had a board for activities, but did not do any. Their restaurant food is good but a bit expensive if you are paying and is not included in the package.

From the rooms to the service, the food to every single bit of detail put into our stay, this was an unforgettable anniversary trip experience. We booked the villa package with breakfast and dinner and to our surprised we were upgraded for free to a river view with the private pool. We were in shock and awe when we walked into our beautiful room and the bed was decorated with Happy Anniversary. A few moments passed and they showed up at our door with a Happy Anniversary cake. This was so thoughtful and something we will never forget. The cool part is a 1 hour complimentary sunset boat ride is included! We decided to do this the first day and absolutely love how relaxing and beautiful it was despite the rain fall. After being on the road a lot we decided to end our trip to India on a zen note. We really wanted to try the famous Ayurvedic massages Kerala is famous for and Spaveda (the spa located right inside of the resort) delivered just that. We scheduled three days back to back of treatments and it was an experience we will never forget. Manu helped us book the correct treatments recommended also by the Ayurvedic Doctor and we are so glad we did this. Not only did we enjoy our time doing absolutely nothing just relaxing and enjoying the views and the largest pool in India, we got to feel so good after our massages and treatments. The first day I enjoyed Gouri which kicked things off with my Elakkizhy treatment and then I had Adhira finish off the next two days. Both therapists were absolutely wonderful, professional and had an amazing touch and knowledge. Me and my husband left in the clouds after three days of relaxing. He loved getting his treatments from Manu! This was by far one of the most relaxing experiences, the food was delicious. There’s so much variety between north and South Indian food and as well as some western foods. A taste for everyone! I recommend ordering some things off the menu and they’ll literally make anything. The staff was so wonderful and hospitable. Thank you to everyone at Rhythm that had a part in making our anniversary trip one to remember!

• Global33990843074 (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Resort Experience - Extremely Disappointing Resort Experience This is by far the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at. The only thing they seem good at is misleading guests with poor excuses. We had planned our day around the complimentary boating activity offered by the hotel. As instructed by their staff, we arrived promptly at 5:30 PM, only to be told that the tour was cancelled due to “bad weather.” The actual weather? Just cloudy skies, 28°C temperature, and 12 kph wind — clearly not extreme by any standard. It quickly became apparent that the staff used this as a convenient excuse to cancel the ride. Food: Very limited options for both breakfast and dinner. The taste was below average, and the à la carte menu was absurdly overpriced — a simple Sprite that costs ₹40 was billed at around ₹160 including taxes, which is more expensive than what you'd find at a 5-star property. Rooms: Absolutely not worth the high price (₹14k+). Faulty door locks, frequent power outages during the night, a foul smell in the room, mosquito issues, and poor maintenance overall. Service: Poor coordination among staff. You need to call multiple times to get anything done. Swimming Pool: Decent, but nowhere close to how it's portrayed in their YouTube promotions.

It may have been because we were spoiled at the 3 hotels prior (Grand Hyatt Bolgatty, Chandys Windy Woods and Greenwoods). We were visiting from the US and I wouldn’t consider it a 4 or 5 star resort. The cons: We didn’t feel the staff at Rhythm was attentive. At other hotels they were constantly asking what needed. Here they seemed to be standing in groups socializing and I would have to interrupt them to ask a question. The pool although nice had zero seating around it. If you didn’t stay in the villa, you had nowhere to sit. And the grass around it was flooded from all the rain so you couldn’t sit there. The floors throughout the entire hotel were extremely slippery if it rained or got misty in the morning. I would not recommend elderly or young kids here. We had booked a connecting room which had a large basically empty room in the middle. It didn’t have enough seats for our family of 5. It was kind of an odd layout. Rooms were dated. The AC unit in one of the rooms was very noisy. The shower in one of our bathrooms would flood the whole bathroom. The pros: The view was beautiful from the balcony. The food was good. The staff did help organize a birthday cake for my daughter which I appreciated and is the only reason I am leaving a 3 star and not a 2.

• Lakshminair84 (10/5): A good place for a corporate team outing - great value for money! - Our team of 125 plus had a day outing at Rhythm Kumarakom recently. The resort was very beautiful with long pool leading to the view of Vembanad lake. During the planning discussions, the sales team ( Rupesh) and F&B Manager Ajith were very cooperative and went above and beyond to accommodate our requests which was not included in the standard day out package, for a reasonable amount. Rooms and event hall provided to us were nice and spacious. Boating in the lake was free. Buffet spread was good, though some of us felt the fish preparation could have been better. Approach road to the resort was narrow for big 49 seater bus and the turn was tricky. We ended up walking last 500mts to the resort due to the same issue. ( recommended to take 30 seater buses if you are travelling as a big group) Overall, we all had a great time at the resort especially in the pool. Would recommend this to other teams looking for similar day outings as it’s great value for money.

Check in was ok, not met with a cold drink (or any drink) which after a day of travel was a shame. Rooms are a good size and lead onto the very long pool which is very long! Pool was nice but could do with a bit of a clean on the waterline as it’s quite black in parts. Food was good and the free boat trip a really nice addition.

All the staff from cleaners to management were very helpful, chef Gopi was excellent he cooked us us some lovely Dals & what we requested he cooked it for us. The swimming pool was so lovely, it was like in an infinity pool.
