• Vacation11710836278 (2/5): Passing through will not stop ever again - Overall value is not worth it room was run down had to manually turn on the water for the toilet and water ran all night long. Screen on window was ripped wide open. Filter for air conditioning for the room was nasty had not been cleaned in years. Shower curtain was hanging off the wall barely attached. Breakfast was bare minimum compared to other white men resorts. Tried charging for a service animal after threatening with an attorney they allowed the dog in for free.
• Julian (1/5): It is an okay value for a hotel but it could honestly be nicer. - The shower had nice water pressure. Overall, the staff were very friendly too and very accommodating. When checking into the room, we discovered hair left on our pillows and had to immediately ask for new ones. On top of that, appliances in our room would randomly stop working, and we got a room with faulty light bulbs. So if we turned on the bathroom light, it would be flickering non-stop.

Look bad and dangerous. Tv messed up and had to reset several times. Losing the movie we were watching. We are old and they put us on the second floor. My wife did not like it. Stairs only
• Verified traveler (6/5): Tidy, beds are good but they're are other things - The front desk lady could have been friendly and i know i i reserved a 2 king size bed room but got 2 queen and was told i was wrong. They knew we would be checking in late afternoon but didn't have the room cooled down. It was miserable hot til early morning. We left it on full blast with the bathroom vent going to draw it threw the room after we were told the air was working fine just give it some time. We decided not to have breakfast to opt for a big lunch later. But it looked okay and the place was clean.and tidy. The only other thing was someone brought in some kind of food the second night that smelled of garlic so strong and for several hours it was overwhelming.

If there are ANY extra charges, I will not stay there.. When I mentioned this to the desk person, she said it is stated on the super 8 website!! I use the booking.com app the reserve rooms, I’m not also going to some website to see if there are any more charges. All these charges are is an interest free loan!! This should be ILLEGAL!! Booking.com needs to do a better job showing hotels who want another payment on top of the cost of the room. The room also had a bad odor. I’m not sure what it was. The mini fridge was plugged in, but didn’t work, so no cold water in the morning.

Coffee was nasty Pretty sure the people running it live there which I’m not sure if that’s ok or not. Really doesn’t bother me but change your clothes and put a smile on your face would be a plus!

Also noone was at the desk when I wanted to check out another guest came by and we were there for about 10 minutes and she finally went looking for her.

The room that I booked was not the room they gave me and I ended up having to the make up the difference for the room I thought I had already booked.

So we had to keep the kids quiet. Floor had sharp cuts and bubbles. Couch bed had multiple broken springs.Power outlets in the hallway were hanging out of the wall. Outside cement was disintegrating and looking very shaby. Breakfast showed online as having hot things like eggs, but only had toast, waffles, coffee and milk. (juice machine had a post it note that it was not working) Sorry to be so negative, but this place was not one i would have picked if it was represented correctly online.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Unfortunate Stay - Thought I booked a room with a jacuzzi based on the pictures online. Once we got there, I was told that the third party I booked with was wrong and that I actually booked a handicap room, so I would have to pay $50 extra to get the room that I thought I paid for to begin with. This is a tiny "hotel". It does not have an elevator, and the management seems to live there. The room was infested with ladybugs, they were everywhere and got in our clothes and bags. We were on the second story and realized that the windows opened with only a broken screen between us being inside and outside. When I showed them the pictures I personally took of the window, she told me those pictures were taken of another hotel and that I found them online. "Not their hotel."When it was late and the kids were already asleep, I realized that the smoke detector was not on the ceiling, and it was actually laying on the desk. We went downstairs to tell someone and at that point we just didn't want to get blamed for it and lose our deposit. The bed was nice, and my son did enjoy the jacuzzi, that was the whole reason we came, so I let him sleep. The next morning, they went down to breakfast and the pancake batter was spoiled, the apple juice was spoiled and when I went down to tell them, her husband came out of the room behind her and started yelling at me. I wasn't asking for a refund, but they assumed I was complaining to get something, so that's how they dealt with me. You could not pay me to return.

• Amy (8/5): - Quiet average place to stay. Room was clean enough. Mirror not clean, small spider in bathroom behind door. We could not get TV to work . The young lady at desk told my husband to unplug and plug back in. Still didn’t work. I called later and complained about tv and she came up to room and fixed it. Apparently one of 2 cords not plugged in. Then the TV was great. My husband thought she could have been friendlier. A smile could have gone a long way! The grounds outside were mowed but needed some shaping up (trim bushes, maybe plant some flowers, ? ). Hallway was hot and the carpet in hallway was dirty. But the room was clean enough and AC worked well. Not much at breakfast bar(waffle maker, toast, small muffins, cereal, juice and according to my husband horrible coffee). But close to McDonald’s and a Dollar General. One other thing, the outlet by sink would not stay on so I had to do my hair(for a wedding) by the desk which thankfully had a mirror.

• Jason (3/5): Poor - The big room and spa tube The satellite wasn't working. Call the front desk, and they came and looked at it. They unplugged it and plugged it back and left before making make sure it was working. It wasn't. I woke up at 6 a.m., and as I was getting ready to leave, the TV finally worked. When I told the front desk about this, I felt they were blaming me. Told me I should have called again. I feel they should have left until the problem was fixed.

• Sylvia (8/5): - I like that there were many options for parking and many options for the eating just right beside motel. I didnt like that there wasnt steps. It was hard to pack my luggage up the stairs as heavy as it was. For 160.00 you would think you would have an elevator. It like it was pretty basic for the price. For an individual cottage with State Resort Park resort, you would pay 213.00 total for two nights. Very nice. Although not all the bells and whistles, it still is an individual standing building. I dont have to fight the steps for my luggage. Not to mention you could hear alot through the walls and doors.

They have a great front desk staff that made my check in quick and simple. The housekeeping crew is very trustworthy and keeps the rooms very clean. I stay here for business at least once a month and I won’t stay anywhere else in the area.

Staff was pleasant and friendly, accommodating my dog was an ease. The rate for pets is great, most hotels charge an arm and a leg! Overall a great stay, ate at a local restaurant about 5 minutes away. Also, there is a park within a mile of the hotel for walking your fur babies! Nothing

Owners wife was very rude and couldn’t understand what she was jabbering about..Don’t stay here! The only thing for breakfast was waffles or toast.

• Timothy (2/5): Low expectations, worse in reality - We knew when we booked that we weren’t getting the best here. It was the night before the eclipse, and everything was sold out for 100 miles. But we didn’t expect what happened. We booked 2 rooms. Upon arrival at about 6 PM, we found that the AC unit in our room was broken. It was very stuffy. I spoke to the front desk. Her initial response was “I don’t understand. That room is rentable.” (?) She said her husband would be up in an hour after he finished fixing someone’s broken lock. Two hours later, no one had come. I asked again. At about 8:45 PM he finally showed, fidgeted with the unit, and admitted that it was not working and couldn’t be fixed that night. They did not have another room available. He said he would refund the price to us. I thanked him and I called Hotels.com to arrange the refund. After some back and forth, I come to find out that what he meant was he would refund our money if we left the hotel immediately. Unbelievable. I went down to the front desk and got into an argument where it became clear that he saw himself as the victim. He said how unfair it was of me to “expect” to stay for free, which was never my idea. After much arguing, he finally said he’d give me a small bit off the room. Hotels.com confirmed the discount. The next morning, the front desk denied it again, but gave in after more arguing. To top it off, room 2 had a smoke detector fail into middle of the night, but I’ve reached the character limit on this review. Do not stay here.

• Leslie (8/5): - Very nice property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there were so much noise from the room above us. It's the first hotel I've been and that had built in bathtub caddies!
• Terry (8/5): - Continental breakfast waited a long time. Toast , cereal, mini cinnamon muffons??? Coffee was terrible. Room Was nice.
