The beds were comfy, the pool was nice and clean, and there were plenty of lounge chairs. It’s a small, quiet hotel, which was great for relaxing. The location is pretty isolated, so renting a car is a good idea, but the beach is just a short walk away. Only complaint is that the rooms don’t have Netflix, but other than that, no issues. I’d definitely stay here again!
• Bill (2/5): Horrible - Worst stay in 10 years. I travel often. Noisy. I slept on wicker sofa. Concrete outside my room was all broken up. Noone in office most of the time. There wasnt even a bottle of water for me to buy. And so much more. Never again. If you stay there you want cheap. Not worth it

Wish there was some sort of little market or cafe on the property. I would definitely come back again but would rent a car.

• Andrew (2/5): - Not to much. Noisy dogs, chickens and roosters. not much in kitchen utensils or cooking pans. Was constently killing insects. had to sleep in a hooded sweatshirt, after applying insect repellant over your arms and head areas. Maid service would show up after 4pm??

• Nicholas (8/5): - Generally an excellent stay but one issue needs to be raised. I always keep some medication in pill form on my bedside table for a specific medical condition in case it flares up during the night. My room was cleaned twice when I was out and on both occasions, the cleaners must have thrown out the pill. I could find not trace of the pills when I returned. Leaving aside the expense, this is really bad. Cleaners should never mess with people's medications. If the guest runs out of the medication, it could be really dangerous. Please advise your cleaners! thanks

• Sunkarie (2/5): - My guest and I were accused of taking/misplacing a wash colth even after taking one my guests personal wash colth. Aside from that at checkout they all of sudden tell me that they are charging me $25 for a white towel that had mascara on it right before I had to leave for my flight. Super inconvenient, they should have handled that situation immediately. On the other hand, the service was disgusting. My guests and I on several occasions had to go personally ask for cleaning services and fresh towels. I would never recommend that anyone stays there because of how bad the customer service is there. They do not care about their customers well-beings.

Only one detail, when the reception closes, it would be good if you could feel that there is security on the property, although Aruba is very safe and we did not have any issues whatsoever, it is always good to feel that someone is there in case of emergency, such as a medical emergency as an example, but other than that this place is perfect........
• Joyful (10/5): Lovely stay; close to everyhing! - Helpful employees provided every need. Pool was fabulous. Rooms were clean; furniture comfortable. Lots of cabinet space. Never found bathing suit bottom when left outside and fell off office step, which had bad strip and was slippery when wet, but all worked out. Had to slam bathroom door to keep it closed. That was a bit of a bother during night, with 2 old couples sharing a bath.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place to stay - I really enjoyed my stay here, very nice pool and rooms. The only things that are a slight knock on this place are the wifi signal was kind of weak and not having an oven in the room. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
• Roy (2/5): Not recommended - One bedroom apartment is cramped, dingy and smelled bad. We moved out after just one night.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice - The entire complex was great and beautiful. The waterfall in the pool looks amazing. The bed is very firm, and the baby's pack and play was very abused with a loose mattress; however those small things don't overshadow the great stay at the hotel / apartment.
• maureen (10/5): Beautiful, well maintained apartment - We stayed here 7 nights and were very happy with the apartment. There is a kitchen with a coffee maker, electric cook top,, microwave and toaster oven. There are enough dishes and silverware for 4 as well as assorted pots and pans and utensils. Our first floor unit was steps away from the pool, which was really nice. There's a table and chairs for 4, and a sofa bed in the living room area. Both the bedroom and living room have nice flat screen tv's, and all the furniture is new and well kept. The bathroom has a nice hand-held shower, and is modern, and spotlessly clean.

• Rhonda Bell (8/5): 1st visit to Aruba - Great small hotel with that provides all the necessities for a terrific price. I do suggest a car to get around as not really close to the beach or restaurants. A 15-20 minute walk at minimum. Staff super friendly!
• Thess (2/5): DON'T STAY HERE! - if you want tranquility, DON"T even think about staying here. Too noisy. Could'nt get any rest at NO time of the day. Super LOUD sounds in the middle of the night. Everytime someone staying in the other rooms used water ( flushed, washed hands whatever ), the long continuous loud sound kept us up. When we finally got time to sleep (overday) there was loud people at the pool, screaming on the corridors. Bysides that, when arriving at the hotel, they charged us again for some tax we already paid for. Awful stay....Stay AWAY!!!

We booked 2 bedrooms because of sleeping conditions and one bedroom had toddler beds. i have a recording of them saying the room was fifthy. they charged me an entire week . are you serious?

• Roger (10/5): Great place to stay. - I've stayed in lots of hotels around the world, and this ranks as one of the best. All the rooms were spotless, the kitchen had everything you could want to be able to cook for a family. You can easily walk to the local supermarket, plaza and beach. Everyone was very friendly.
• Family of 3 (8/5): Quiet stay, good accommodation - Good hotel for those looking for a calmed vacation. Good value for the price. Clean and nice pool, good kitchen and great bed. Within 10min (driving) from great beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets. At first we were kind of disappointed by the sorroundings (outside areas of the property), but then understood a little bit better the environment (Aruba has many areas still in development/bulding), and found ourselves really happy with our decision. I would return to this hotel anytime if I find a similar rate than this time.

• John (8/5): Reasonably priced - The staff was great and was able to accommodate an extended stay when my flight home got cancelled. It was approximately a half mile walk (or a $8 cab) to Palm Beach.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Peaceful and Private - The Del Rey apartments are not on the beach front, but in Aruba nothing is far away. This place gives you a quiet, peaceful, and safe place to relax away from the hub-bub of the big hotel strip. It is a walled and gated facility of twenty some units (2-story) surrounding a nice pool and palm trees with a waterfall providing "white noise". Great for couples or families. The apartments are not luxury units but are excellent for the price. Our one bedroom apartment included refrigerator, microwave, stove top, dishes and utensils, two TVs, dinning table, sofa, and soft chairs. Most units have a sliding glass door with an alcove balcony or patio facing the pool. There are umbrellaed tables and chairs, and padded lounge chairs around the pool. Parking is within the wall/gate.

• Bob (10/5): very adequate apartment with pool - This was our first trip to Aruba. We stayed 10 days in the Del Rey Apartments and were very pleased to have done so. Office staff and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was great! We had not made previous arrangements for a car rental, electing to wait and see if one was needed). And we got along fine without a vehicle. The walk to our favorite beaches (Moomba and one next to the Marriott Hotel) took 15 minutes. We used taxis for longer ventures such as to restaurants. We highly recommend Del Rey if you wish to avoid the high-rise beach scene.
• Johnny (10/5): We had such a nice time! - The apartment was perfect the room was clean, well maintained, comfortable. We had a great time. We drove 5 minutes to the beach everyday. Spent evenings in the room cooking our own meals and relaxing watching T.V. We felt safe at all times, which is perfect after a vacation in Jamaica that was horrible. The water in the room was hot also. We were worried before we got there like anyone else might be, but we loved it and will return several times. Guaranteed. Thanks so much Del Rey!!!
• Brenda (10/5): EXTREMELY REASONABLE! CONVENIENCE! - Loved being able to go to Palm Beach (10 minute straight walk) EVERYDAY for 10 days without the exhorborant costs for beach front properties. Close walk to local store for groceries. Great air-conditioning, well maintained pool and not crowded, kitchen equipped with basic necessities and housekeeping service everyday! Desk staff friendly and helpful. Apartment appearance is outdated, but is clean and provide for an adequate and pleasant stay. There is a natural alarm clock each morning -- nearby roosters start the day, giving your stay a local rural flavor. Family and kid-friendly.

Although furnishings were simple and a little dated, the room was clean and the location was a short walk from the beach. The price per night was fair. We would stay here again in the future.
• Dr. Brian (10/5): Love Del Rey! - This is our second year returning to the Del Rey Apartments. I love the apartment rooms which are super clean and spacious. The first floor opens to a patio and the beautiful waterfall pool. The cleaning staff and hotel staff are very nice. They maintain the apartments super clean and my linens and room were nicely cleaned daily. They were always very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, my only concern is the woman in the office. As a guest, it is always nice to be greeted warmly and made to feel at home by office staff, the young woman in the office was not warm or kind. Upon our leaving, she was the same, she did not thank us for the stay or encourage us to return. I think she could work on her client service and her demeanor.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Save a fortune vs on the beach hotels - Quality place huge rooms great pool just a short walk to beach and the Mall and supermarket. Everything you need on your doorstep comfy and excellent room facilities. Friendly staff.
• Gloria (6/5): Guest will need car to get to beach. - Stayed for 10 days, pricing was good, free access to Moomba beach and lounge chairs. The pool area at the hotel was very nice and pleasing, but had to rent a car to commute to beach on a daily basis. The free Wi-Fi was not very accessible, it kept dropping the service or no service for 4 days. The living room furniture and chairs were very uncomfortable.
• Verified traveler (8/5): quiet, family oriented, fair for the price - quiet, family oriented, fair for the price, not far from palm beach hotels, casinos, shopping and beach. hard to find but then again apparently street signs are nor use in most of Aruba, that was very frustrating. Recommend for you to get acquainted with google maps, that was a saving grace. If you are renting a car i suggest a jeep or any other 4X4 and get the optional float tire insurance about $2 a day but worth it due to road conditions.
• reba (8/5): Great Value and Amenities - I've stayed at Del Ray twice now and would absolutely return. It is perfect for me and my needs. It is affordable, clean, has a nice pool and common patio area, individual patios, good wifi, tvs, full kitchens, beach towels, and daily maid service. It is about a five minute drive to the beach where I go (Fishermans Huts), or to the big Resort beach area. I like that it is in a neighborhood area, not surrounded by other hotels or resorts. If you are an independent traveler who appreciates staying in apartments and cooking yourself, this is a good place. If you want a fancy, luxury experience, with chain restaurants and lots of other tourists, look elsewhere.

The local bus cost $ 2.00/ 2.60 and can be caught at the Mall .About a 12 dollar cab ride to Superfood Plaza.A car is necessary if you want to explore Aruba on your own but that would be true wherever you stay.If you are a light sleeper the roosters might be a problem.The 2 bedrooms are on the side away from the pool.Walking is very safe.ARAWAK GARDEN/ HYATT AREA ABOUT 20 MINUTES AWAY I'M 77 &IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM FOR ME.A$27 cab ride from the airport.
