• Verified traveler (4/5): - Got a room other than advertised. Was not offered a discount. Room wasn't entirely clean, spider webs on the floor around the bedside stand. Kitchenette with no toaster, oven/range was unplugged and would need $15 fee to reconnect power.
• Vanessa (10/5): Cute, clean motel! - Cute little motel surrounded by trees, nature, and a mountain view. The location is easy and convenient to both the main town area and Kawkawa Lake. Easy highway access too. Our room was clean, quiet, and we appreciated the air conditioning in the hot weather. There’s a couch, table, fridge, and coffee maker, which was helpful since a lot of restaurants were closed during the pandemic. Overall a really nice stay, the owner Simon was really friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Hope!
• Verified traveler (8/5): - A bit elderly but effort to maintain has occurred. Project car in parking area is a negative. Parking is tight. Management is very conscientious.

• Sandra (10/5): Loved it! - A very nice small motel. A large room with leather Settee and chair. The bed was very comfortable. No kettle but used the coffee machine to make tea. Good location with a restaurant next door and a Home restaurant down the road. From here we drove along the Fraser Canyon and visited the Othello tunnels. Both a must see. Very good for what we paid. I would recommend
• C M (6/5): Hope(less?) - Stayed here whilst passing through Hope in way to Jasper from Vancouver. Changed rooms, as first suffered from leaky guttering over the door and lack of WiFi signal. Motel a bit tired, but owner very amenable. Not much to see or do in Hope. Would carry-on and stay further north next time.
• Verified traveler (8/5): quiet, clean motel right off Hwy. 5 - This hotel is on par with the other hotels in Hope. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very damp - there was condensation on the inside of the windows every morning, and the room smelled a little musty. Excellent restaurant right next door, hotel was quiet at night, service was good.

There was a bit of garbage on the floor in the room when we arrived (candy wrappers in the corner) and we could hear our neighbors very clearly in the next room - that said they did have loud voices. Would stay here again.

• Chris (8/5): - Booked online 30 minutes prior to arrival. Manager phoned to confirm conditions and arrival and then phoned again to determine if substitute rooms was OK. Desk clerk was expecting us and called us by name. Room had separated beds from sitting area, nice. Bathroom was small but serviceable. Cleanliness was good but general maintenance could be picked up a notch. For the money charged it was more than adequate. The restaurant next door was great for dinned but not open for breakfast. There were no other options within site but that was OK as brunch in Merritt.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Cleanest motel I've ever stayed it (and I've stayed a lot). Nice spacious room and good quality bed linen, towels etc. Not the usual cheap stuff. Very comfy bed and friendly staff. Nice restaurant next door to eat at too. Would stay there again.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - It is obviously a well loved business. Sweet little motor inn, greenery all around, great views, quiet. A bit dated, but this should not deter from any part of your stay, except maybe your expectation of an updated bathroom. As the name promises, Colonial furnishings throughout!
• G (4/5): - The location was good. The office had the smell of mold as did the room. There were loose floor tiles in the bathroom which was because of the floor caving in hence the smell of mold. While in general the room was clean there were cobwebs on the ceiling and in the corners that had long dead insects in them. The cost to stay was $130 which was a last minute booking. At best this is a $70.00 dollar motel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

• Katia (8/5): No mountain view - Clean and welcoming. There were strange noises in the morning, but I suspect they were the local fauna just waking up. Just kind of disappointed there was no "mountain view" as Expedia had described it. The owner phoned me ahead of time to wish me a safe trip into Hope. Thought that was super nice of him :)

• Al (4/5): 3.9???? NOT A CHANCE - The place was clean, but run down. The guy who checked us in was rude, abrupt, and condecending. Worst greeting at a hotel we have ever had. Due to the fact this was when we checked in, it tainted everything about the place after.

• John (8/5): Plain, simple, clean, comfortable - It was nicer than we expected. The check-in was smooth. The room was very clean. Room service was excellent. We didn't expect much since the price was so good and we were pleasantly surprised.

• Roy (4/5): A sad change and poor choice of manager. - This motel has been our "go to" spot when in the Hope area for some time due mainly to the quiet location and well maintained rooms. I booked a queen bed and checked in while chatting up the manager who was new within the past 3 months. I left the office saying, "see you in October". On arrival at the room I discovered twin beds so went back to the office for a room change. What I got was edgy attitude from this new manager who said he couldn' do it as they were fully booked. I said that I should have gotten what I had booked well in advance. He got rather nasty and I left saying "I guess I won't be seeing you in October after all". Suddenly he had a room available so I took the key and left the office. When looking outside at 11pm and again around 2am it was obvious that, unless several guests arrived by foot or bike, that there were plenty of vacant rooms. There are plenty of motels in Hope so in future I'll use one of them, at least until this jerk has gone. I doubt that he'll last long with his attitude.
• Wayne (4/5): - The bed was very uncomfortable, hard. TV channels were pretty much limited. When we went to make coffee the next am, only decaf pig in room. I went to the office aprox 8am, to find the door locked. Rang the bell twice and NO response. No we certainly don't recommend this property

• Bill (4/5): Tired and old - Chose this motel due to it's online rating. Our experience was not what we expected. The room was musty smelling. Old 70's era furniture. Repairs to the room were done poorly. Old duvet and pillow covers(dark patterned brown). We didn't use the duvet because we couldn't tell if they were clean or not. Sheets were also beige in color and not really appealing. The bed is on rollers so when you lean against the headboard, the bed rolls away.The floors had been upgraded to laminate which was nice. I'd suggest checking out the other motels in the area before staying at the Colonial 900. The desk person was pleasant.

• Kris (8/5): Surprise in Hope - This place was surprising comfortable. I am usually sceptical of this type of motel, but this place is clear and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Definitely try the Greek restaurant next door.

The scenery was beautiful. The hosts recommended the Olympic Flame Greek restaurant next door. The food there was incredible and I would stay at the motel again just for the convenience of walking to that restaurant!
• Susan (8/5): Good basic motel - Simon runs a very good basic motel. We've stayed several times and it has always been very clean and well kept. It is a no frills basic motel but very good for the category. We'll stay again
