• Di (4/5): - I am extremely disappointed by the incorrect and inconsistent descriptions on Expedia. I have been using Expedia to book hotels and travel packages for nearly twenty years. It used to be very reliable, and I never questioned the accuracy of the posted information. However, the next morning, it stated that breakfast was included. To my surprise, upon check-in, I was informed that they had stopped offering breakfast a while ago. What's even more peculiar is that when I checked the website again, breakfast was no longer listed as an amenity. Fortunately, I had taken a screenshot while making the reservation. Additionally, their road sign still indicated that breakfast was included. To make matters worse, they charged me an extra $80 as a guest fee. I also noticed that many other descriptions were inaccurate. Items such as a hairdryer and an ironing board were still listed but were not actually available in the room. After a long day of sightseeing, we returned to the hotel expecting our room to be cleaned, but it was not. All the towels were still on the floor. When I inquired with the staff, they told me I needed to call them every day to request room cleaning. Even when I called every morning, my room was only cleaned once during my stay. In the evenings, upon our return, the room was still not cleaned. I am profoundly disappointed with both the inn and Expedia. I trusted Expedia's information, but it appears they do not verify the details on their website!!!

• Prapti (8/5): - We booked this place very last moment for an impromptu trip to Tobermory. We were looking for one night stay and the place served that purpose at the budget we had. The lady at the check-in was very polite and helpful. I had requested for an hour late check out and she had no issues
• Doug (4/5): - TV programming was awful. No regular news channels. Shampoo/conditioner cheap and impossible to open the little packages with wet fingers in the shower. Bed was comfortable but pillows were lacking firmness. Too close to the street and quite noisy.
• Richard (6/5): - So, this property is an obvious low budget, construction worker hotel. First the good… Everything is mostly clean. We tried to sit on the chairs around the table and my wife noticed mold on both of the chairs. I know what you’re thinking. If that’s good, I’d hate to see the bad, bare with me. It’s good because the guy in the office,(I’m guessing the owner) had zero problem taking the 2 new chairs out of the lobby to replace them with. He seemed remorseful and changed them without hesitation. Decent service. Now for the bad… We walk into the place and immediately noticed a bad smell. Kind of like the way your grandmothers house smelled before good cleaners were invented and she hasn’t cleaned in a month. It was clean for the most part but because the wondows don’t open, it has taken on a smell. The hot water tap in the “kitchen” doesn’t work, the stove has no burners, there’s wall paper missing from the wall, as well as “party dents”. The door only has one lock, apparently someone broke off a key in the door handle so instead of changing the whole knob, he just took out the guts of the handle and now there is just a handle. The only lock is the deadbolt. I’m sure this place has been renovated, maybe once since it was built in the 60’s but not much has changed since. None of the furniture matches, and there wasn’t even a cup for 2 of us to have coffee with. No breakfast, as advertised either. There is more bad but Expedia won’t let me write anymore. AVOID THIS PLACE
• D. (10/5): - The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The office staff were very friendly and helpful too. The price was also very good.
• Clasina (8/5): - It was good . Th right price too. Everything great accept no coffee milk or cream( we ca. bring our own next time) if asked ahead of time.No biggie though.

Loud drunk people that were in parklot when we can Le and fighting when we left. There were squished bugs and hair and filth and mold in every nook. Duct tape on floors. It was awful we didn't touch a sheet and left as soon as possible. The worst.
• Jeff (6/5): - A spacious room with a good little fridge that needed defrosting. Stove elements were missing and the TV had no cable. Missing light cover for the rusty bathroom fixture and burnt out tube. Bathroom needs some attention.
• Gurpreet (4/5): - No soap in the washroom. We had to ask for it. Very old furniture. Bed frame had wheels. When you sit on it, it moves away from wall. Very inconvenient. Didn’t get the vibe. We paid $349 for 2 nights. It was a rip off. Would be nice if we get at least half of our money back. I am sure if we had paid the same amount at any other place would have been much nicer and good experience. Will not recommend it to anybody and will never go there. Although the owner Mike is a good person
• Bandana (2/5): - Very bad rooms, with housefly everywhere and they bite as well. Very smelly rooms, the minute i enter , i came out and went to some other hotels. Even the bed was dirty and those blankets eww.
• Yannick (2/5): - No secure check out process: we were told to drop the key in a key drop off box with a missing lid outside. The corner room we were in (number 8) felt undermaintained and had a strange old home smell. The bathroom had no toilet paper holder and broken door mouldings, there was a mold smell coming out of the air conditioning unit when in function, and there was one broken drawer. Also, the neighbouring guests were speeking loudly outside in the evening (passed 22h). Overlall appreciation: not worth what we paid for, we left as early as possible the next morining. Expedia should not promote this location on its platform until issues are resolved.

" Is this the place we are going to spend the night?" I assured them that the inside must be nice like the pictures I had seen on line. as we opened the door we were received by this pungent smell. I have no idea what they use to clean the carpet. My 2 daughters refused to come inside and sat in the car for a long time while we tried to vent the room. we left the door open and the bathroom fan going for quiet some time. There was a chair with a broken leg

The bathroom looks like it's been renewed recently and quite clean. The door was a little outdated and hard to lock, and the phone to call front desk located in the washroom is quite a vintage, but other than that everything was great.

• Alexis (4/5): - There needs to be a quality check individual after the rooms are cleaned. I found a condom wrapper literally by my bedside. When I first walked in the room smelt damp and sweaty. Why they dont open the windows after "cleaning" before the next guest gets there or at least keep the air circulating by leaving the fan on in the air con unit is beyond me. The sheets needed replacing. They were clean but had been washed so many times that the sheets were thinning out in areas to the point of almost holes (just buy new sheets!) The shower at least had hot water but the toilet you had to hold down the flusher the entire time while it flushed. The room only had 3 lamps versus an overhead on the ceiling and when I arrived only 2 of them worked. I have stayed in many "inns" or "motels" which are never hugely great before but this place was the worst of them. I couldn't even park outside my door because the people next door took my spot which in my opinion should be reserved for only the guest in each room versus allowing people to take up multiple spots. As a single woman traveler I had to walk across the parking lot to get things from my car and to unpack for the night because I arrived later at night. The check in was great though regardless of coming around 10:30. Just be aware they clearly need more eyes to check over the cleaning of the rooms.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathroom light switch/fan had an intermittent connection - you had to jiggle it to get a stable on connection. Where there would be a toilet paper holder on the wall, was instead unpainted unfinished plaster. The stove had tin foil wrapped under the burner elements making contact with the elements - I didn't want to try them. Several hours after my checkin, they checked in a woman into my room! I got a double bed instead of a queen bed as I had reserved. Why did I have to provide photo ID (drivers licence) and have it copied? - I've stayed there before! I wasn't expecting much, but these things are simple things that are easily correctable. As a side note: It was expensive for what I got, and if I had reserved starting the day before, the cost per night would have been exactly double. That was based on me calling them directly at first and then later reserving through Expedia starting the next night which was half the cost per night.
• Arlene (8/5): First time in Owen Sound and the Diamond Inn. - We live in Burlington Ontario. Needed something fast and cheap in Owen Sound Ontario before the long August weekend. I would use them again no problem. Close to eating. Owners very helpful and friendly.
