• Beth (5/5): Could have been better with staff on site & a little cleaning of the outside - The view of Lake Isabella was nice as well as the outside gathering area. The room was clean. We had to go to another place to check in. No one there…envelope was taped to the door. There was no human interaction. Ran out of coffee & tea & it wasn’t replaced. There were cobwebs & dirt all over the outside windows & door. Had to return the key at the other location. We were disappointed especially for the price we paid.

The floors need some repairing. All the windows were filthy with cobwebs and dead bugs all over them, in the window rails and just neglect of cleanliness. That could be improved.

• Leah (8/5): Overall it was fine for a night but I likely wouldn’t stay again - Very friendly staff and beds were clean Bathroom pretty dirty lots of dead bugs especially near windows. Toilet bowl water was shut off. When water for toilet would be open high pitch noise could be heard and wouldn’t stop had to keep opening and letting the tank fill to flush.

Qiute Cob webs on ceiling corners, went to check in and they were not sure they had a room available due to there contact with booking.com. they were able to get us in (that made you mad) due to a recent experiences. Ice machine was in a ugly dirty little building. Won't go back.
• rachel (4/5): - The hotel doesn't have a front desk on site. You have to check in a couple blocks down. The hotel rooms are in the middle of an area of homes. It was confusing to find. Outside: The property is lacking upkeep. Cobwebs and trash throughout. Spiders outside room and inside. Cobwebs all over windows, entry door and some in bathroom. Broken appliances outside the room. Inside the room: It was clean. The floor was very soft in areas and the flooring was lifting.It seems there was water damage previously that has not been addressed. I wondered if it was unsafe walking over it. The bathroom needs to be cleaned better. The cleaning lady knocked on our door asking us when we were leaving- that was weird. Overall, I would not stay here again.

I had to buy two fans just to keep the room cool the temperature in that area is always around 100° my room temperature was 89° with the fans it brought it down to 80°, which is still very uncomfortable to sleep in. Also, the water came out out of the sink, yellow, and there was very little water pressure when taking a shower

• Katherine (8/5): Great place for the price. - Nice garden area with benches and flowers. View of Lake Isabella. A/C worked well. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star rating is that it is a nice motel but clearly not luxurious or ultra modern.
• Lizette (10/5): Awesome stay - The hotel was a bit hidden which was awesome. It was near the lake, but I could not find the way down to it. The wood in the room was beautiful. My husband and I sat outside our room 2 nights to see the stars and loved it.

• Stephanie (2/5): - I normally don’t review but in this case I felt I should for the next guest with a family. Fridge did not work, air conditioner did not work in 105 degree weather with two kids. It was very difficult to sleep. Did not see any staff at all during our two day stay, or provided a number to call if any issues occur. Hopefully staff can fix these big issues for the comfort of future guests.
• Hayes (9/5): Worth the price friendly people and a walk to the lake you can't beat it - Nice spot secluded and quiet the exterior needs a little love but it's just differed maintenance the inside of the rooms is nice very cabin like. The staff was awesome and friendly You have to check in at another property kind of weird but it's close by. The lady running the check in was super friendly and curious.

Comfortable and spacious room perfect for 2. There was no reception office to check in at the location, and there are no instructions on to check in at another Inn location 4mnts away from the lodge...the place commun areas are super dirty ...it seem like no body has cleaned in few years....the location is perfecte but the outside of the lodge looks like an abandoned building 😕 is very sad to see that a nice location is not been taking care of... also, there is a lot of noise... guests in the property are very laud as there is no one to manage the property....I may stay here again if they manage the property better and keep it clean.... we as your guests deserve better. Thanks .

Bed clean and comfortable. It is what it is. Do not expect the Shangri-la and you will have a nice visit.

The motel's office was actually off site so I found that to be different. There was a large company of tree trimming trucks that came through the property at the end of the day and left in the morning. A little chatter early from where they parked in back but not all that bad. Not sure if that was normal or not. The Wi-Fi seemed to keep dropping out.

• Caroline (8/5): I’d come back if they changed their cleaning protocols - The quietness, the people who run it were very kind and helpful. I like supporting their small business. I like that it was different from big hotels. The scented cleaning products and laundry products. I guess they haven’t found a way to be clean without the toxic products. I brought in my own quilt to help me sleep without being nauseous but it stuck to my clothes and the bedding I brought in.

No hooks to hang clothes, robe, etc., in bathroom. Lack of counter space to set toileties. Door dead bolt not working. Two bedside lamps (only one was present) would be helpful. Only two Caffeinated K-cups were available. (Two of us, two days)

• Verified traveler (8/5): Couple with dog. - Wasn’t clear that we needed to check in at a different location. Would be useful to have that information in the confirmation we got from Hotels.com. When our key didn’t open the door the woman at reception got into her car and drove over to our room with us to help. She was friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable even though the building is old. There was one bar of soap but no shampoo or conditioner. The drive to the lake was spectacular.
• Russell (3/5): Didn't really enjoy our stay, disappointed - The staff was absolutely AMAZING. They were friendly and accommodating when we requested early check in, polite, helpful...cannot say enough good things. The property has a lot of potential, but was just very old and tired. The floors felt like holes were covered over with laminate and you could fall through. The window mounted HVAC ran ALL night in intervals of 18 seconds, pause 30 seconds, run 5 seconds, repeat...trust me, I had all night to determine this because we couldn't sleep, that was very disappointing. As far as "lakeshore", it was a bit of a walk to the shore, maybe a couple hundred yards, so that was a little disappointing as well.
• Richard (5/5): Basic accommodation with poor WiFi - View of lake Isabelle were great and good restaurants a couple of miles away You have to go to an Inn a quarter of a mile away to get key to cabin, didn't know that in advance. Wi-Fi was very poor, in fact in evening couldn't make any stable connection. The TV which offered a good range of channels was reliant on WiFi to work, so constant buffering made it almost impossible to watch.

The shower was decent. great general area overlooking the mountains and lake Isabelle close too. It had working Aircon :) checking in was a bit too much of an effort especially after 10 hours on the road. The hotel is linked with a nicer hotel in the local town and you have to check in there. it wasnt clear so it took half an hour to get the key to the room. Also the other hotel was much nicer lol! Dated room.

Staff was not to be found had to search for 1 hour to find someone. Phone to call staff was disconnected. Wouldn't recommend this for family stay. To expensive for what you get. In reply to the reply from Lakeshore Lodge. We did not talk to you after our stay as there was no one in the office. So I find your comments regarding a conversation we had together very strange. We left at 6.00 in the morning, the office was closed and left the keys at the designated box. We could not reach you by phone. The wifi was not working full stop, picture has been provided in my review. There was 1 bath towel person, so 2 in total and 1 washcloth per person. Since we found the office to be unreachable, no one present and phone not working we indeed did not make spend more time to request an extra set. Unfortunate to leave a review this way, I trust you take the comments and work on improving going forward.

• William (6/5): Pluses and Negatives - I reserved through a 3rd party. Fortunately when we arrived at 11pm, our keys were in an envelope taped to the door-that was great. They could/should have turned on the AC-since it was record setting heat-and they knew we were arriving late. I asked for a slightly delayed departure-due to the time necessary to prepare my disabled Brother-in-law and dementia wife-they did not approve it. My dementia sister-in-law said she approved another night-which I did not authorize and fortunately-the cleaning crew were so very nice and said they will make sure my account will be credited this one; non-authorized night.
• Carol (6/5): Quiet motel. - Very basic motel. Quiet. Front door did not close properly which meant dead bolt could not be used. Shower was good, good coffee.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay quiet area - We stayed one night and it was good. There was shampoo and conditioner but no body soap but there was bar soap by the sink. No Kleenex in the room. Nice fridge with little freezer section. They had coffee maker. I loved how they had little sink by fridge. Key pick up location was very close and easy to find. There was little market on the same road. We couldn’t figure out how to watch TV.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - It's a cozy old lodge in a quiet area right next to the river and lake. If youre not expecting anything new, modern, fancy, or luxurious, its a nice place to get some rest after a day on the lake. I personally love these older places that have that special feeling about them. The kids thought it was ancient but they probably think the same thing about me.

• Janine (2/5): Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! - The front door room 32 did not close or lock properly. Requiring muscle to close it. Door Needs to be aligned. The bed is awful. Sags in the middle, and is to short, and not level. Needs to be replaced with a new bed mattress. Uncomfortable for sleep. We’re sorry we stayed there. Request a reimbursement.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Unexpectedly nice - My friend and I spent two nights there pretty comfortably. The bed linen were so clean. We will definitely come back to stay. Next time, I will bring regular hand soap and other toiletry.

• D (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - It is necessary to check in at this hotel in an alternate location about 1/2 mile down the road. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

• John (8/5): Showed up late with pizza... - Well we had a great time...bed was soft and the room was good size. I never found the river but we doesn't look very hard. TV was weird as most channels didn't work but overall it was good and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
• Gina (10/5): Annual Birthday Weekend - We loved the place. Wish the outside had better upkeep. Maybe washed down or cleaned of cobwebs. I know it’s outside but you advertise “banquets and weddings”. I hope it is spiffied up for something like that. Glad it was dog friendly and the people were very nice. Over all we had a GREAT TIME !
