Guest Reviews
- Yelena (10/5): - shower head was broken and i have to go to store and buy new one myself. They can't contact to the owner
- Dora (4/5): - i need not like that if we need clean towels we would have to call the owner and one of sheets was stain i told the front staff and they told me that i had to call the owner so i just put it in the closet and also the elevators would take a long time it has 30 floors for only 2 elevators they need to put more elevators
- Martin (2/5): - Elevator situation no where to eat and drink and enjoy yourself after a long day at the beach
- Dylan (10/5): - Everyone complains about the elevator it isn’t bad sometimes it takes a few minutes but if you’re that concerned use the stairs quit being lazy. Other than that it’s amazing Walmart across the street. Good restaurant down the road as well
- marlene (2/5): - The elevators take about 30 min on each fl and some days don't even work. The place is not clean at all and no one is available to answer any questions or concerns. Not recommended.
- TAMARA (4/5): - I had horrible experience with this resort ,especially with elevators. We had to wait for 20 to -40 minutes in line to go up on 21 st floor.there is 28 floor in each building, but pool has capacity of 20 chairs so I couldn’t find empty space to sit.staid there for 5 days and nobody changed towels .Valet parking was very organized .Resprt is certified .Overpriced
- Solomon (6/5): - Room was not made up upon arrival, then saw the sink was cracked and one of the beautiful seashell pictures was broken… the shower & toilet was very weak water pressure
- Steven (10/5): Beachwalk Stay - My experience was very good, only concerns were it took a very long time to get up and down the elevators, not enough elevators for the amount of people in the hotel, also the parking should have been free for the duration of my stay, that was very dissappointing
- Osvel (2/5): - Not cleanings no towers in blanquets property elevetathors not working property
- Yvon (4/5): - The view from the room was beautiful…. The elevators were so long….only 2 for 30 stories high…..
Nobody went to clean the room from sunday until friday…
The transportation to the beach, no beach towels….
I would NOT recommaded…….
- Stanley (2/5): - None of the amenities stated were available they never were available absolutely ridiculous
- Ravit (2/5): ALERT!!Severe warning - very bad experiance , bad servise , derty room , no clean towels, The toilets were clogged and flooded, there was no possibility to shower.
We had to shower elsewhere, at reception we were informed that it was our problem and they did not take care of it, hotels.com shuold take care of the toilet , that's how we stayed in a stinking room for five days.
Recommends everyone to stay away from this place.
- ahmad (4/5): Deceiving Pictures - No one was wearing masks including employees, The room was in very bad shape compared to pictures published on the booking site, the carpet is dirty with bleach stains, There was used condoms and other lubes by the bed, Lamp is broken. Sheets and towels were clean and view is nice. I would not go back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - location was great
- Maria (4/5): The Hyde is better!! Book there instead. - Great location, building itself-not bad at all. We stayed in Unit 2104A and it had a lot of wear and tear. Filthy carpet, sofas/furniture, walls, kitchen floors were extremely stained. Missing wall sockets....one set of towels for a family of three...for a 5 day stay...we had to purchase our own towels because the owner , not the hotel is responsible for cleaning/supplying towels. We made the best of the situation but never again will we stay in a private unit over a regular hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like the balcony area of the room. The rooms are too small not a lot of space. The carpet can be changed too.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty, unpleasant staffs
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I’m conflicted writing this , don’t get me wrong the place was nice , the views , the area were great. BUT upon arrival I noticed a lot of things, I did not know you had to pay for parking almost 200 for the week , the apartment itself was not clean ( we cleaned it again ) . Also, I thought this was a hotel not an apartment so just a heads up it’s an apartment. If you feel like the apartment needs to be cleaned you will have to pay , but honestly your best bet is cleaning it yourself because they charge you for everything even when you breathe. The elevators are extremely hectic, and not safe especially with Covid . There are only 2 elevators for the entire place so just imagine over 20 floors . I spent over 2000 for 11 days and I wish I could get my money back because if I knew what I knew I wouldn’t have picked this place. The only up side of this was the location it’s close to pretty much everything , everything is within arms reach , and they have a nice pool and beach down the street . Just think twice before you book here , the pictures they post are not the real deal the furniture is old and worn out, the couches have stains , the carpet is gross , and the sheets I would definitely wash again and again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay for location and price. - Unit was clean for the most part. Only called maintenance for dryer not working and sliding door would not shut. Carpet had stains and burn holes from wear and tear but overall everything was good. Plan timing accordingly cause only two elevators and alot of people on 32 floors. Takes a while.
- Nancy (4/5): - It was terrible service was the worst
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This place has taken a turn for the worse since the last time we stayed here years ago. #1 took me 3 days and several requests to get clean towels and a bed sheet. The way it works is the front desk have to call the apartment owner and they send someone to your apartment.... well it took that someone 3 days to come and he requested $20 for clean towels. #2 the hallways were disgusting with crumbs and garbage all over the hotel #3 only 3 elevators to service 30 floors... it took at least 10-15 min to get to your room and back each way because of the wait #4 the apartments are outdated and need serious updates (stained carpets, broken door knobs, broken bathroom amenities, stained comforters, we also didn’t have hot water for a day) #5 pool is limited to 20 people due to COVID and there’s no limit as to how long you can stay there so good luck getting in... there’s also no sun due to location of pool after 3pm. #6 beach towels were limited to 3 per room regardless of how many people were staying in the room (she said something about their laundry service being limited) #7 our room had an awful odor which may have been coming from the AC vents we constantly had to air out our room. I kid you not but every time we passed the lobby there were people complaining about same issues I’ve listed and it seems like front desk staff are really limited at how they can help you. My recommendation is save your money and headache and don’t choose Beachwalk I know I will never be back.
- cindy (8/5): - The pictures did not show what you were offered unless you were a owner you we're not allowed to use the rooftop pool the picture shows all these nice chairs and such around the pool that's the roof it showed a beach access you had to get shuttled to the beach if you have no car you have to Uber are take cabs not a good location the elevator is horrible 2 elevators for the whole building on each side sometimes you have to wait 20 minutes or use the steps I had an A and B unit A unit was ready close to 4 then I was told B unit was ready I was told the beds weren't made next morning went to make a pot of coffee and the coffee pot had a great big crack in it someone could have gotten cut called about washer dryer no show the front desk staff was very friendly if you don't have a car of your own I do not recommend this place otherwise have at it
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The pictures shown in Hotel.com have nothing in common with the real place: none facilities near to the beach, the room looks like a mess, the shower glass door was broken, dirt stains on the carpet, none disposable glass or similar, none freezer or similar in the room, they didn’t replace the toilet paper, just two towels and they didn’t change them. There’s no parking included; I had to pay valets parking for two nights and when I arrived after 11:00 pm there was nobody to park my car, so I did it by myself and I kept my keys. I left the place after the first night. It’s awful at all. I will never recommend such a place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When we arrived our room was being cleaned but we were bumped and they gave it to someone else so we asked for a refund and didn't stay. The front desk was getting it ready for us when the owner made other arrangements to give it to somebody else, right in front of us. Bad business
- Nilda E. (10/5): Perfect couples beach get away - Perfect stay luxe condo stay by the beach, location, and value. Impressive view. There was complimentary eco friendly transportation to the beach. Full kitchen. Walking distance to Walmart & restaurants. Romantic balcony with view of intercoastal.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There are not enough elevators in the building for the number of units and the number of people needing them.
Our unit's carpeting was in very stained condition. Dirty looking. The mattress in our unit was far too old; saggy and soft.
- steven (6/5): - Room carpet was stained all over so looked dirty. Elevator lines were painful but staff was nice.
- Jacek (2/5): never again at this hotel - every day a very long line to the elevator. you have to wait a long time for the elevator. because only two in the whole hotel. nobody cleans. no one brings basic things to the rooms: toilet paper, shampoo, etc. Long line to bring a car. on the last day I waited until 30 min.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Beware please beware this Airbnb rental. It is filthy disgusting I would not allow my dog to stay in this place. It's not clean at all. Unfortunately I can't show the photos. But I wish I could. Also I have reported this to the health department because no I should be able to rent a stay to someone like this. Please beware this is not through the Hotel this is a Airbnb. There is no housekeeping or anything else back involved the hotel. However you are allowed to enjoy all the amenities. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the customer service front desk was very nice and understanding.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Our air conditioner in our unit did not work. The temperature did not go below 77 degrees, We called maintenance and the tech reset the unit. It did not work. We called again, he reset it again. He even showed me how to reset it because he "hoped" that it might work once. It did not. The location told us to call expedia because they could not get in touch with the owner (it was a private unit) Expedia told us it was the hotel issue. Great they both blame each other but we dont have AC in Miami! What happened to expedia guarantee to make everything right. Spent an hour on the phone with them and nothing was done (except the tech came and reset the unit again!!)
- Danny (4/5): Private Unit, No customer service! - This was a private unit rental, which was mentioned only after the booking was reserved. The unit was very disappointing, the carpets were very stained and only the very minimal things were in the room for the stay. There was no housekeeping for the stay if you didn’t pay for it but they left only minimal towels. We were 3 adults and had 4 towels for 6 nights. We got to the room and only had 1 facecloth and 1 roll of toilet paper for 6 nights. If you need anything you have to get in-touch with the property manager who is impossible to reach and the front desk staff will not help out at all. I had to argue for 3 days to get extra clean towels. Very disappointed in the customer service we received. Thank god for the location and view from the unit or else I would have left after the 1st night. They are very quick to take payment and ask for the cleaning fee payment but for customer service they are a big zero.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I thought everything was awesome, the staff was phenomenal and I loved the treatment we received. From check in to check out. The valet staff made staying there worth while. They were unique!!!
- Domonique (10/5): - Great place the room didn’t have a microwave and it takes a while to get your vehicle when you valet park not enough workers but overall great place I will book again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Beach rental is atrocious because the owner don't respond to needs and you have to call them to request for necessities.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Towels were uneatly hung, and the garbage was half full. Toilet was clogged as well. I tried to unclog it my self but to no use. You would also assume hotels include a breakfast, but $18 for eggs and bacon is quite unrealistic with a Walmart just across the street and a kitchen in each condo.
- Amber (10/5): ONE OF THE BEST!!! - AMAZING!!! Friendly and well trained staff..the room looked and location WAS AMAZING!!
- Guillermo (4/5): - Carpet was stained, phone not working, furniture uncomfortable I booked a hotel room and got a abnb with no daily cleaning
- Verified traveler (6/5): - They need to pick up calls and change towels and sheets
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The pool was closed when we arrived ... very disappointed
- Lynn (4/5): Don’t stay here! - I travel a lot. This place did not even have soap or a cloth to wash or dry dishes. The place was dirty. The web site said the resort fee and cleaning was included and yet I was charged for both. I have tried to contact them but I get no replies. I was told I would pay at the hotel but my credit card was automatically charged the incorrect amount. Hotel staff were very un helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - In room phone not working, can't call hotel services call front desk no answer, furniture in room needs replaced.
- kety (2/5): - No tuvimos mi familia y yo servicios a la habitación ,ni información requerida así como quien respondiera nuestras preguntas
- Fern (2/5): - I recommend that you do not rent this place. It was filthy. Only two towels in the whole place and they did not look clean. We had to stay someplace else
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ,Very good price location. Room keys needed to be changed daily.
- Sack (6/5): - Unbeknownst to me this was a third party rental. We checked in at the front desk and got room keys but they advised us this was a third party rental and anything we needed we would have to contact the owner. The owner didnt provide any housekeeping during our stay. You're charged $27 a day for Valet parking. Pack a lunch while waiting for the Elevator. About a million rooms and "2" elevators. Wasn't a horrible experience but many things were hidden until we arrived.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The rugs and walls were stained. There were no cups or glasses in the room. There was no coffee maker (which was referred to as standard in the brochure). The only saving grace was a very nice view of the area.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff very customer focused and the highlight of this property. What was disappointing was the suite was in poor condition, needed paint, needs sheets and bedding without holes. Toilet needed to be fixed upon checking and refrigerator not working at all. Stayed here on this property before and has seriously declined, largely because suites are individually owned and not maintained to resort standards by any stretch of the imagination.
- Amanda (6/5): Nice but left a bit to be desired - Beachwalk Resort Rentals were very nice and in a safe and convenient location. You were about a 10 minute walk to the beach and near a Walmart, restaurants, and other shopping which was very convenient. The room was pretty clean (nothing bad to report there), but they did not give us any washcloths or extra trash bags. Where this process left much to be desired was how this rental worked. So my understanding in booking with hotels.com is that I would be booking through the hotel, but when I got there I found out that I was renting the room from the owner of the space, which I think is something hotels.com should indicate as you’re booking. Especially because the hotel stated that if you have issues you have contact the owner of the unit but how would I know the owner if I booked through a third party site? Also, there were a couple issues with the AC I should have mentioned, however it didn’t truly affect our trip or experience. Overall it was a very lovely stay and experience but those were a couple snafus I encountered.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The first room I was given the bedroom balcony door was unable to open or close. There were no lights in the kitchen area. The carpet was stained.
- Olga L. (4/5): Nightmare room - Some happen when need the room for check in, we wait one hour and half to get the room, the only two sink have the apt. Is not work, no to many towels,, we stay only for two night, the view nice, clean room, just need moré towels and I feel restricted on the room, but is ok, I really try a have a good stay on the room, but is ok
- Shalla (4/5): - There were no remote for the TV in the room, I call and call and ask no one answer the phone.
- BEVERLYN (10/5): 2018 NC GIRLS TRIP TO MIAMI!!! - We had an awesome time!!! The resort staff was amazing, they aimed to please every request.
- Bob (2/5): - Don’t rent the appartment
If you need service , the hotel tell you to call the manager compagny and you have to leave a message. Nobody call you back.
No hair blower
No shampoo and conditionner
No coffee
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was good, I will definitely be back. There was some things in the room that needs to be fixed for example: towel rack in the bathroom is loose so we had to hang our towels in the closet. Closer doors was off the hinges so we could close it. Sliding glass door handle in the living area was loose. Other than those minor things, our experience was good.
- Horacio (2/5): - I stayed 5 nights and I have 2 nights without air conditioned. No one came to our room to apologize or help us. Pretty bad experience and I wouldn’t recoment to anyone.
- Leader (6/5): Unconventional - I would recommend this facility to a friend but only with reservations and a more thorough understanding of what they were getting for their money than I had. Whereas I thought my room was a part of the hotel in which it was in, I later found that it was someone's timeshare that I was renting and that the hotel functioned merely as a facilitator. The staff was excellent and courteous but had to go through a 3rd party to get me a "Do Not Disturb" sign although they were able to get me coffee for the coffee maker. The valet service was also excellent. Further, I thought I had snagged a last minute bargain but found that an outrageous $100 "cleaning fee" was added to my charges. Who pays a cleaning fee in a hotel? I might add that since the hotel is taking the "blame" for my dissatisfaction, it should consider doing a better job of incorporating quality hotel standards into the time shares.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't rent through property management firm - I called before arriving and was given incorrect information. The suite was dirty and had damages. I reached out to the property manager and he was unprofessional. He was rude and would not call me to discuss the issues that we were having. He would only send me text messages. They would not provide wash cloths and told me that they were not included and couldn't believe I had an issue with that. They also didn't believe that the room had damages. I had to call Expedia to get a resolution to my complaints and the property would only give $100. Never again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I got the 1 bedroom suite and it was a great size. Great view from the balcony that stretches from living room to bedroom!!! Overall service was good. Only negative is that there was a unkown extra charge on my card that no one seems to know the origin.
- Jomayra (8/5): - The room I originally planned to get was a lot smaller then the one we got, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice, at one point the hotel had I believe a power outage and the AC stopped working properly. It happened around 12 PM & it started working again around 2 AM. The hotel itself is very nice, the pool is great. The wait on the elevators isn’t too bad due to how many floors their is. I would definitely stay again.
- Denise (8/5): View was great - The staff especially the valet and shuttle staff were fantastic. The front desk was helpful. Was not old about the daily overnight parking fee. I am not sure if the bathroom was cleaned daily but we did receive new towels half way through our stay. B Walk is walking distance to our convention and great restaurants. The restaurant on site was not open past 9pm. It would be nice if we knew that we were dealing with a property manager and not the front desk for amenities. The pool area was very nice.
- Robert (2/5): Great view with out service - Didn’t know it was a difference between hotel and private owner hotel has service private room don’t,room was not ready at 6pm dishwasher had dirty dishes it didn’t work bathroom light bulb blown unable to reach manager walls floor dirty couch dirty had to sit on sheets the view was fantastic spent most of our stay on balcony no room service had to buy cups bath clothes
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible experience - 1st things FIRST the room was booked through the hotel..but arrived and found out it was a privately owned apt within the resort...a lot of unexpected fees and charges...room hadn't been vacuumed, no toiletries,or microwave as told there would be...Elevator rarely worked and when it did it took a minimum of 20 mins to make it to your floor! Mind you its a building with 20+ floors..so we had to tote all of our luggage down the stairs..I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.Horrible first stay in Hallandale Beach experience! I deserve all my money back truthfully. That Valet they have there does not accommodate guest..They shouldn't be charging $27/day for parking when visitors aren't even barely there the whole day. This resort needs to make some serious visitor accommodating changes!
- carlos (6/5): - Had a wonderful stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): - A lot of hidden charges...............................................................
- Julissa (10/5): Great experience - It was an amazing experience everyone was very friendly. They provided transportation services to many places. A Walmart is conveniently located across the hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Gross and a scam - When I booked my stay I assumed I was booking a room in a hotel and nothing seemed out of the ordinary till I got to my room. It was gross, very very dirty with holes in the wall, broken lamps and carpet and sheets so stained and dirty that it made me sick. When I went down to the front desk to tell them I could not stay in that room I was told that the room was privately owned and not part of the hotel and that they could not help me with any problems. I had no idea what they were talking about I had booked this roo. On Expedia and there was no indication that this was anything other the a hotel room. Nevertheless I called the property managers phone number that the front desk gave me and after struggling to communicate with the first person that spoke no English I finally got someone that told me they would send an email to the front desk and I could switch rooms. My new room was equally gross with a phone that did not work so I gave up trying to call the front desk and just went down to the lobby where a prostitute propositioned me. In discussed I gave up and decided I had no choice but to hold my nose lock my door and stay one night and deal with it in the morning.
I was afraid to walk on the very dirty carpet bare foot so I kept my shoes on at all times. In the morning using my cell phone I tried to get coffee brought to my room (strangely there was a broken glass coffee pot but no cups and no coffee in the room) and the room service told me they were too busy so no
- Verified traveler (10/5): bwalk - Great location minutes away from beach. Careful with the small print about resort fee and cleaning fee which easily adds 200 USD to your stay. Swimming pool reaches full capacity quickly. Great views if high up in the building.
- Karen (4/5): Unacceptable room. - We arrived and the room was filthy. Dirty carpet with stains everywhere. We complained immediately and the front desk gave us a number to call. These rooms are looked after by an off site management company. No answer so I had to leave a message. There was a dirty towel hanging up on the bathroom door, baseboards had not been dusted in months, a couple pieces of garbage under the desk and hair in the shower. The next day I talked to the management company and they sent cleaners over right away. I told him that the carpets should be replaced and he agreed. Never again!!
- EI (4/5): B Movie - I stayed at the B Walk for 3 nights. Nice building and convenient location. The room itself was very disappointing. Furniture, finish, and fixtures on the cheap side (not even a soap holder in the shower). A/C doesn't cool, mini fridge the same. TV without a remote control, broken toilet seat, safe deposit not working. Before my third night, the room was not even cleaned and serviced. No one bothered emailing an invoice.
very very disappointing! and it's not even that cheap. Not going back there again.
- Harold (4/5): VERY DISAPPOINTED! - 2 day stay. This condo resort has residential living and rentals combined in one building.
Not maintained well for a 3 year old building. The concierge staff very friendly. Unfortunately the resort condos are rented through different property management not by the main building management and the front desk could not assist us with any issues. I was contacted by the property manager for this specific unit only once for final payment. I was so disgusted to see all the walls were marked up shag carpeting on the floor dirty was afraid to walk barefoot the bathroom towel bar had fallen off and there were patch marks where the holes were and there was a huge hole in the wall in the main living area. Also had an adjoining door Suppose to have a kitchenette but it was basically just a room with 2 bed no sitting area. Called property manager Diego 3 times that day and he kept txting me that he was busy and to txt him back. I replied saying that I need to talk to him txting is not an option. Never heard back from him even to this day . The photos on hotel.com show a restaurant and another terrace/lounge area beware this is only available to residents who live in the building. During our stay a glass window had fallen into the pool area so they closed it. Only 2 elevators and service staff also used them very slow. Beware when booking this type of accommodation.. Absolutely disgusted with our accomodations. I would give this a 1 star
- Verified traveler (2/5): Beautiful from the outside .. Trash on the inside - First of all, this is not a hotel. It’s more like a AirBB set up. The building staff clearing had no hospitality experience. They checked you like they were ringing you up at a grocery store. After getting you a room key. I was told any issues don’t contact us for any issue call the room owner, Gave me a # to call! The room was attached to someone’s apartment. So it felt like you where staying in your cousins room. The room was set up with two beds from ikea table and TV .. the cleaning lady’s was still in the process of cleaning the room when we got there! The walls were scuffed everywhere. A hole in one wall where someone opened the door to hard and the handle hit the wall. Holes in the bathroom wall where the towel where the towel holder used to be. No refrigerator not even a coffee maker. We had no was rags the entire time. We keep being told it was coming up later.. I wish I took pictures.. don’t let the pictures on line fool you ... not worth the money.
- Tiberiu (2/5): This is a sham ran by a crook - beware! - My wife and I have been traveling a lot and we booked a standard room at the B-Walk (aka Beach Walk) because of its location between Miami and Ft Lauderdale as we had business in both areas. It all went downhill from there...
1. My CC did not get charged at the time of booking but the day of the booking.
2. My CC company flagged the charge as potentially fraudulent and I got an email through Expedia from a guy who identified himself as the Rentals Director saying that he couldn't charge my card. I called the CC company and released the charge.
3. My CC got charged for 15% more than as booked. When I asked to explain the difference I was told it is a deposit as the unit is a privately owned unit and requires a damage deposit. This was not stated in my booking or the Expedia listing. In fact there is nothing in the Expedia listing that says it is a private unit and has special charges.
4. When arrived at BWalk hotel we found that the parking even though was advertised as included is a mandatory valet service and costs $26/day.
5. I talked with the property manager and told him this is not what I booked and wanted to cancel. He told me he will charge full amount to cancel within 7 days.
6. Once in the room we found that the TV remote is missing and the phone does not work. I sent a text to the This person and he did not reply. In fact that is where he cut off all communication. He has not replied to me since even 3 days after checking out of the hotel.
Continued below...
- Cj (2/5): run down complex DO NOT STAY HERE! - Where to begin. The room was filthy! The carpet was so badly stained it needed to be replaced. The mattresses were uncomfortable. One of the 2 double beds was unusable because when you tried to lay down on it the mattress collapsed. The bathroom shower head did not function properly and the water dripped out. There wasn’t even a soap dish to keep your soap or a shampoo shelf. All our toiletries had to be placed on the floor of the shower. The cleaning staff did nothing! Sometimes they replaced your towels sometimes they didn’t sometimes they came early or after 5pm who cleans a room after 5:00 pm?
The elevators! OMG! Sometimes we waited 30 minutes what a joke 2 elevators for a building with 30 floors.
Valet service was so disorganized if you wanted your car request it an hour before you want to leave . Nothing good about this place needs major upgrades. Don’t be fooled by the price, remember you get what you pay for.! And to the owner of this room spend some money and replace the carpet!
