Guest (4/5): - The location is nice, the property was very quiet. I liked that it was a little cottage and not attached to anything else. The face of the shower flew off of the shower head and would not stay on anytime you ran the shower, so you had two hard streams of water to shower in. There is no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror anywhere else by an outlet. The wifi did not work at all so you could only watch TV by going through the antenna part on the TV and that was a huge hassle every time you turned on the TV. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and had a ditch in the middle of the mattress. You could not sleep on either side because you would just roll to the middle.

JUSTIN (8/5): Great for a few old friends visiting Cedar Point - It wasn't fancy. It seems a little old (carpets, pillows, etc.). But for a group of old friends visiting the area, it did the job nicely -- two bedrooms (though only separated by a curtain), two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. It's close to Cedar Point and the bay, so it was a convenient distance for our activities, and the owners seemed quite friendly and accommodating. The walls are a bit thin, so you don't want to be too rowdy.

Joe (10/5): Great weekend getaway - We booked the weekend to meet up with friends in Vermilion and this little family owned spot exceeded our needs. The cabin is very clean and comfortable even if it is a bit on the small side. The mini fridge was a welcome surprise. Very quiet and peaceful sitting next to the lake in early part of day. 100% would stay again. Close to both Huron and Vermilion.

Housekeeping not the best, cobwebs and spiders in corners of both rooms we stayed in. Pretty sure the sheets were not changed from last guest and windows were very dirty. After cleaning the room, making the bed and washing the windows. We had a great stay. I think the place needs some TLC, improvement on housekeeping and some maintenance on the property. I probably would stay there again if I was assured that things had improved. The staff was very polite and helpful and all the outer guest were very friendly. It was a nice homtown community feel. the beds were very comfortable and we slept well once the sanitary conditions were improved. Shouldn’t have to clean your own room but be prepared.
Jody (5/5): - Proximity to Cedar Point No one in office to check in. It was 10:30pm. Our key was left attached to the front office door. AND then no one in the office when we checked out at 9am. I never filled anything out. The Trump Shit hanging in the office..myswell have had a confederate flag beside it. Shoulda figured it out with the name of the business though.

Crystal (8/5): Good Value - The property was very clean. It has lake access (Beach access) at the end of the property so you can swim. You do have to walk down a slightly steep, uneven hill to get there that can be tough, especially if it's wet. The pool was nice. There is a fire pit with seating down by the lake as well to use! Our room was big with 4 beds so it fit our family of 6 nicely. Having the kitchenette was very nice as well! It is not like the normal hotel chains that we usually stay at but we would definitely stay again if we ever came to Ohio. You do not get room service each day like a normal hotel (new towels, new linenes, trash taken, a quick tidy up of the room). I say that, but we actually did not ask for the service so it may be available by asking. Also, there is not someone available at the office 24-7 like a normal hotel so be sure you have what you need (toiletries and such) before they leave or they will have to come from their home to assist you if you call for something using the phone number posted in the office. The beds were not very comfortable for the 3 adults but out 3 kids slept great.

It's right on the lake with a few minutes walk to a park and a few minutes drive to Huron. The shower was a bit cramped, the controls on the AC were broken, and there was no way to make hot water for making coffee.

Verified traveler (6/5): No hot water or heat - No hot water after over an hour of leaving the water run as the manager suggested and while in the shower after waiting..water got cold after 3 minutes. Was told when we checked in cabin 14 that the water heater was on cable 26 and would take awhile but that was ridiculous.akso refrigerator did not work nor the heater. No coffee pot as advertised. Manager tried to bully us when we was about to leave for a wedding ,"there is hot water let me show you " like we were too stupid to run the water. Good part was the bed was comfortable and the site is very nice on the outside right on the water

Laci (10/5): Cute, quiet, homey stay with beautiful views of Lake Erie. - Cute and old-style home with a recliner in our unit since that’s all my mom can sleep in. Nice little kitchen and tiny bathroom, with toiletries but there was no coffee, but there was a coffee maker. It’s a mystery where heat is emitted from, but on chilly nights it definitely worked. Great air conditioning units as well. My only complaint was that the bed squeaked and pillows were not at all comfortable. But it was clean, with working TVs and the staff were so helpful. We thought the bugs flying around were huge mosquitoes but they were instead either mayflies or muffleheads, both completely harmless. The little house is right next to Lake Erie and it was beautiful; you can walk down to a really pretty private beach. We really enjoyed the vibe here and definitely recommend it. Squeaky bed, uncomfortable pillows, no coffee provided. Since it’s a house should provide a few more cleaning supplies and trash bags. Minor issues overall.

When I called back because I missed a call he said “Good girl for calling back” with an attitude.. I will not ever be coming back.. been staying here 3 years in a row for the cedar point halloweekends and I know next year I’ll be finding a new place because the attitude towards me and threatening to lock me out of my cottage was uncalled for

Taylor (5/5): Pretty location but not the cleanest - The location on the lake is really pretty and the small town was fun and had great pizza and ice cream Definitely well used. Our sink was clogged and there was a 50/50 chance of you got hot water. Also, the walls were really dirty and trash behind the furniture. The bed didn’t really have a fitted sheet either so if you moved at all in your sleep the mattress was exposed.

Paulette (9/5): Just what we were looking for. - The location was perfect for what we were looking for. It was quiet for most of the time except for one of the camping trailers who didn't know what quiet time meant. We really enjoyed everything. I wish that the cottages had a microwave or at least a 4 cup coffee maker. The TV system did not work very well. Kept going in and out and couldn't get any air channels such as sports channels.
Bonnie (9/5): Great clean cabin at a very reasonable price. - I stayed in a small cabin that was air conditioned and had it's own bathroom. The cabin was clean, The bed had current updated "hotel" white linens and comforter. The bed was very comfortable. It was very reasonably priced. I will most likely stay there again the next time we are in Northern Ohio. I have no complaints.

Dean (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location, relaxing and peaceful. Cold water in the shower didn’t have pressure so was barely able to get a decent shower and it was a tiny shower stall but for the price I would stay there again.

Kathy (8/5): - My husband and I have stayed at this property numerous times over the years, we know it is always clean. The owners are very friendly and try to be accommodating. The place is very 1950’s ish. Love that you can just walk down the lane to the lake and there is a common’s fire pit for a fire. Con’s: the places could use a “little” up dating nicer shower curtain little touches go a long way. Maybe leave some bottle waters in rooms, better toilet paper instead of one ply, those sorts of things. Over all it is a great little place obviously or we would not keep coming back every year.
Eric (10/5): Hidden treasure - The 2 bedroom suite was more like a townhouse. Pleasant surprise. Nothing! It surpassed expectations and I will most definitely stay here again.
Roxanne (6/5): - The property itself was gorgeous-lots of trees, birds and a beautiful view of the lake. However, the room we stayed in was less than expected. It wasn't filthy-the sheets and towels were obviously laundered and it was an okay place to sleep-but it definitely wasn't what I would call clean (both bathrooms had hair and debris on the floor). I also understand everything being dated-that's fine-but at some point, you have to start replacing broken or extremely worn out items. Also, and it wasn't a big deal for this particular trip as I was travelling with my husband and father-in-law, was the door itself. I don't mind actual keys, but the deadbolt doesn't work, and the handle that has the other lock is barely holding on. I could have easily made entry into the room without the key, and as a small lady who travels alone frequently, that would have been a deal breaker the first day for me solo (I understand the area is safe but you really never know). Lastly, the owner is very gruff, and acted like we were putting him out for a)asking to check in late even though according to the sign on their front door that is a VERY common occurrence and b)letting him know the air unit in the main room wasn't working correctly. We ended up leaving a day early due to other circumstances, but I wasn't sad to leave.
Amanda (8/5): - The cottage was a great little place to stay on our trip to cedar point. However, the heater in the room was on even though it was the middle of summer. Because the air conditioner made it cooler than what the heater was set to, the heat kicked on. The heater melted our suitcase and some item inside. Also the A/C unit’s plug goes right over the heater and the cord is singed! We are lucky that the whole place didn’t catch on fire! When we brought it up to someone at the desk all they said was “it’s a heater. It gets hot.” But why was it on in the first place in 95° weather! Very frustrating.

Brenda (6/5): Pleasant - The bed was comfy. Shower had hair and some dirt in it. Do not feel it was cleaned. Wore water shoes. Needed an outlet in bathroom. Hard to use my flat iron and see in mirror. Wish it had been down closer to the lake. Need more space to put belongings instead of the floor and chair. Made do though.

Amanda (6/5): - The stay itself was mediocre upon getting into the cabin it was filled with bugs. Talked to the property manager before arriving about stay and Todd did not have very good communication skills and complained about booking stay through Expedia. Did not give a very welcoming experience. Pool was down for the stay was unaware until I went to the front desk to collect receipt the next morning due to arriving late on check in day so there wasn’t any accommodations at the property.
