Guest Reviews
- Michael (8/5): -

- Brian (9/5): A cozy and friendly location with a great breakfast. - Location is great. Nice and quiet. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety and fresh food.
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Andreas (8/5): - Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Freundliches Personal. Ruhige Lage im Ortszentrum mit Parkplatz beim Hotel.
- Christa (8/5): - Ideale Lage.

- David (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffrey (9/5): Superb -
- Pascal (9/5): Nice cozy "old fashioned" hotel at a top location - Very good breakfast, nice location in the center of the historic town, overlooking the plaza. The train station is nearby (5 minutes walk) and when booking for 2 nights you get the train/bus card (Engadin mobil) with which you can take the Bernina Bahn up to Alp Grüm or visit St Moritz.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Great location & friendly staff
- Janelle (9/5): Step back in time for a great comfortable stay. - The interior design was like living in Heidi land. Rooms were set up well and the bike storage was excellent. Included breakfast was delicious with good variety. Nothing to add.
- Binal (10/5): - very friendly staff.
- David (10/5): Feels like a mini castle - Quaint and beautiful
- Claes (8/5): - Nyrenovert rum. Lite trångt badrum. Tyst och vacker liten ort nära St. Moritz.
- Ma. (8/5): Very good - Great, good traditional buffet breakfast, great location
- Stephan (9/5): Superb - Very nice and clean room and friendly staff in the center of town. The price is reasonable (for Swiss standards). The breakfast is amazing (they also have a fresh bakery) The Wifi in my room was not very strong, however that is likely because my room was not in the main building. I decided to use a hotspot, so it was not a big deal.
- A (8/5): Very good -
- Asmaa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeffrey (9/5): Cozy Swiss Hotel. - Centrally located hotel that was very clean and efficient. Rooms were comfortable and unique with lots of Swiss wood carving.
- John (7/5): Great location but overpriced. - Great location in the heart of Zuoz and quite central to many of the other attractions of the Engadine Valley. CHF 180 per night for a very basic room, in the low season.
Room lights didn't work, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room or in the hotel after hours (kitchen closes at 6:00 p.m.).
Only German language channels on the old tv, no Netflix, etc.
- Marianna (9/5): Superb - Welcoming staff, we could leave bikes and bags in the storage room at our arrival as well at our departure. We were also allowed to use the common showers before leaving in the afternoon.
The bakery is excellent, one of the best I've tried!
Comfortable beds and clean room.
Breakfast was fresh and varied. At the buffet breakfast there was nobody around for quite some time so I couldn't ask for the fried egg (not a major issue of course). It got very warm in our room, so I'd suggest providing lighter duvets for the summer.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Alena (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, very good breakfast, competent staff, comfortable and cosy room.
- Manuel (9/5): Superb - good breakfast and nice staff. also the location is very centric this is not particular the fault of the hotel, but the church is right next to it and its bell will ring every 15 minutes. you better try to sleep during its short night break...
- Harvey (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is 500 year old and beautiful
- Dennis (8/5): Typisches Hotel im Engadin - Ein typisches Hotel im Engadin. Tolle Arhnosphäre.
- Katherin Lacera (4/5): - The carpet it was really dirty
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- J (9/5): Superb -
- Tsai (9/5): I would happily stay here again. - Great location in this lovely village. Clean, comfortable traditional hotel. I particularly liked the room with it’s traditional woodwork with carvings and plenty of storage. Friendly staff, good service. The bakery has a good selection of delicious pastries. I did not realise that the church bells would ring on the hour, every hour! Ear plugs a must if you are a light sleeper.
- Walter (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Lovely place, very nice accommodating staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable, I can’t wait to come back! - Beautiful historic building, love the wood, the double doors, the wide stairwells. The room was very large, spotless clean, quiet, comfortable bed and super fluffy duvet. Only thing I wonder about — would you hear someone walking around on floor above? My floor was creaky like any old building so I tried not to pace! I don’t think anyone was above me. It was very quiet!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful all around! We loved it!
- Felix (8/5): Very good -
- Max (10/5): Exceptional - We had a spacious corner room overlooking the square.
- Phu Vinh (8/5): - Super freundliches Personal.
- Geoffrey (9/5): A very enjoyable night's stay. - The hotel, with its Arolla Pine woodwork, had a strong Engadine character. The location in the centre of Zuoz was superb and the breakfast was very varied and tasty.. The coffee at breakfast would have been better had fresh milk been used in the coffee machine rather than UHT. As UK-based visitors we also noted the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the room but we appreciate this is normal in Switzerland.
- Mathieu (9/5): Superb -
- Kimberley (9/5): Superb - Cute traditional Swiss mountain hotel. Easy check-in (even though I arrive later in the evening) and checkout. Good standard buffet breakfast in the morning. Nice little bakery below the hotel. Good location to start a hike from (close to trails & public transport. For light sleepers - remember earplugs (church bells in the evening and morning). The hotel was very quiet between 11pm-6am, most occupants were early risers so a bit of noise as people used the shared bathroom in the morning.
- Marlies (10/5): - Alle waren sehrfreundlich und zuvorkommend.
- Manuel (8/5): Very good - Wonderful, traditional-style room in a beautiful old building full of charm and cozy atmosphere. The smell of the local pine wood makes you feel like you're in a mountain lodge every time you enter the room. Bathroom was on the small side.
- Antoinette (7/5): Good -
- Phil (10/5): Had a very comfortable night in this wonderful old building - fantastic building, friendly owner and exquisite breakfast! nothing!
- Jsplus50 (9/5): Superb - Very cozy and nice hotel, located conveniently. Short walk to everywhere.
Breakfast was with good selection of everything. Personnel was helpful and friendly.
Excellent option with decent price.
- Annika (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, great cafe and restaurant. Really enjoyed Zuoz loved the mountain access and the local attractions (Sauna at Castell, James Turrell skyspace, Cafè Badilatti).
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
- Agnieszka (7/5): Rustic hotel in a heart of Engadin - The hotel in the centre of Zuoz in a historic building. Room was quite spacious with sofa and armchairs. On site there is restaurant with traditional food (Capuns!) and bakery (Nusstorte!). Breakfasts were rich and tasty. Staff is helpful. For the price it was bit outdated and rusty. The bed and pillows are not too comfy.
- Bálint (7/5): Good - Old, cozy building kept clean and in good condition thin walls between rooms
- Adriane (9/5): Lovely historical hotel with lots of personal touches - a wonderful place to sleep in the mountains. - The breakfast was lovely - especially the very fresh yogurt and the cheeses. My room was very clean and I had a big balcony that would have been great for sitting out with a glass of wine and watching the world go by if it wasn't raining. The restaurant was lovely and served with a smile - I had rosti with mushrooms and ham which I recommend. It is such a charming hotel. I would go back in an instant. The wi-fi was funky but I think that is to do with the location of the hotel and not their hardware. I went into the bakery and it worked much better than in my bedroom
- Peter (5/5): Great location, charming hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was a disappointment-old croissants! - Good rich breakfast offer for European Standards. However, old and hard croissants were served. This is an absolute no-go! Breakfast: Poor quality of croissants. I was expecting good quality as the hotel also integrates a bakery.
