• LEILA (4/5): - The only thing I Liked it was close to the center. Breakfast was average. There was no closet to put clothes, only some nails on the wall to hang clothes. No mirror in bathroom. Bed was not comfortable. Room was very small.

So while ppl say this hotel is great for solo travel its a lil boring in the eve if ur in. Breakfast was good. My air con worked fine.

Staff (Angela and Shaaban at the front desk) (Ushaza, housekeeping and Breakfast) was friendly and helpful. As for improvement, the only thing we had a little trouble with was the shower curtain rod in the bathroom was a little loose and did come apart, which we set it back ourselves.
• M (8/5): Great location. Great staff. - A fantastic location, just a 5 minute stroll from the airport bus stop by Skandeberg Square. Lot's of shops and cafe's on the doorstep of the hotel.
• Fung Ki (10/5): - location is great, staff is friendly and most importantly the price is good. the room is not sound-proof, however, it was generally quiet during my stay. Breakfast is opened from 8:00 to 10:30, you can get some simple and light food there. In general, I am satisfied. :)

Room & bathroom were big enough foe my purposes, and had obviously had a modern refurb. Staff member that greeted me was friendly & helpful. Breakfast was fine too. Would recommend for anyone on a budget.
• David (8/5): - Travelled with a friend, so booked two rooms, T.V. did not work in either room, cables corroded. That is my only complaint. Cheap, clean, lovely, helpful staff, Great breakfast, underground car park, cheap & 2 streets away, loads of restaurants close by. Perfect for exploring the city. Recommended highly for the price. You should definitely visit Albania, Awesome country, Very friendly people everywhere !

• James (6/5): Does what it says on the tin. It is budget. - I was expecting a budget hotel. It is the fact what we found on arrival was much more rudimentary than the reviews and images Shown. You get what you pay for. It was very inexpensive and therefore we chose to forfeit the 2nd night and stay elsewhere. That says more about me than the hotel. I am sure for anyone confined to the budget it’s a good shout.
• Joao Carlos (6/5): - This hotel has many issues, but also has a great location and a good price. Air-conditioning is a disaster, doesn't work properly, and makes huge noise. Room was found freezing cold on arrival, a lot of hassle to change, etc. Flushing didn't work, had to lift the lid to flush stuff. Breakfast is quite good. Reception girl in the morning helped me with directions and helped me print a boarding card

• Iain (8/5): Good value - Good service from staff and the hotel is clean. Good breakfast buffet. On the downside the TV in my room didnt work. The lock on the door was slightly dodgy. It took a fair bit of manipulation to open the door. There was also a leak from the skylight. As Tirana is a very rainy city this is not ideal.
• Joseph (4/5): - I appreciate it's a budget hotel, but the hotel lacks the basics, that make the hotel awkward in respect to functionality. Very small rooms with a small bathroom, where your knewws toch the wall sitting on the toilet. A bed with an old mattress that sunk in to the frame, getting out was hard. No lamps or light switches near the bed, meaning getting out of that bed to turn lights off. No TV for our 12 night stay. A rug that slides like ice, so we had to fold it away. On arrival, we asked for an extra pillow, hair dryer and toilet paper. We got none. I acquired the toilet paper from a cupboard on the landing and the same for the hair dryer. My wife folded up a blanket to make as a pillow and not owned nce did the maid twig we need an extra pillow. Staff were OK friendly enough, but the very one who said anything you need just asked was the one that did not deliver. The best thing about this hotel is location,, next to the New Bazaar and a short walk to the square. This is the first review vi done where I have been disappointed with a hotel. I don't have high expectations, as I love you ke budget hotels, but this lacked the very basics in comfort and functionality for my needs.

• Vasiana (2/5): - Very small rooms. Staff not friendly. I tried to change the room, they didn’t have anyone at night to even look in the system for available rooms. I checked out the same day and they still charged me for 3 days. Worst place ever.

• Laney (8/5): - If you’re looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay in Tirana, Hotel Jolly is it. The location is pretty much perfect. It’s easy to walk around, there are so many restaurants and bars within a couple minutes from the door. The staff are always helpful and it’s kept very clean. Only notes of improvement - 1. the breakfast was the same all 7 mornings I ate there. A little change would be nice. 2. The bed was really uncomfortably hard. Thank you for an excellent stay in Tirana.

Ana on reception spoke very good English and knew the city well. She helped me with some travelling issues i was having. So i was relieved over that. They did my laundry for a reasonable price, for which i was very grateful. Id love to know the detergent they use! The breakfast was simple but filling - it set me up for the day. The bread was delicious. Alll in all, a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended. And Tirana is a really fun town for 2-3 days. Loved the experience. Very enlightening. Rory

• Verified traveler (6/5): Simple, convenient and in a good location. - People were very nice. Be aware that there is not parking on site. They said that there was a nearby parking lot for a fee per night. However, one of the persons working at the hotel moved their car on the street right in front of the hotel so I could park my car. Room was small, almost like a japanese business hotel. The bathroom had motion detector lighting which kept coming on with the noise of the fan, but the easy solution was to close the bathroom door. It is simple but in a good location and walking distance to the main things to see in downtown. Breakfast was simple. No hot items offered. Excellent price for what you get.
• Steven (10/5): Jolly Hotel - Is a decent hotel, central to everything, Amy on reception is excellent, friendly and English speaking as is Shab the evening manager.Each room has aircon , tv and breakfast is ok , meats, cheese, eggs juice, coffee, cereal etc. Good value , would stay there again.
• Malika (8/5): Super stay - I had lovely time at Jolly Hotel, good service, worm welcome friendly and lovely staff. Very close to shopping and restaurants, all at walking distances. If you’re ok with the city noise, I strongly recommend to stay at Jolly Hotel.

• Shai (8/5): Best location and friendly staff - You know the saying "location, location, location". Jolly is in the perfect place if you want to walk around Tirana. It's close to everything. My room was very small, but for me it was perfect. Plenty of hot water for my shower, everything was clean, and the breakfast is basic but healthy and good. The staff is very friendly and they try their best to help you with whatever you need. There is one con as far as I am concerned. I am a very lite sleeper, I need quiet and darkness to sleep. The hotel gave me what they said is the quietest room they have, but I still had trouble sleeping. The door is a regular indoor type and the noise goes through it. My room also had a skylight installed with a very basic curtain that didn't stop the light coming in the morning (around 05:30 in July). Even with my trusted earplugs, I could hear the noise from the street. If this bothers you, you might want to look for a different hotel.

• Jiakai (10/5): Very friendly staff and convenient city location - I cannot recommend Jolly Hotel more as firstly, the location is in city centre, which is very convenient for you to walk around the major tourist sites. The room has got all the facilities and apparently staff members are very thorough with cleaning. Breakfasts at Jolly Hotel were big portion and very well prepared with a series of local and continental breakfast. Finally, the staff members are extremely helpful and shared a lot of stories with me about local life, which I certainly very appreciate.

The location is perfect too. It’s in the grand bazaar and also only a few minutes away from the center of the city. My room wasn’t very big but it was enough for myself and very cozy. I don’t usually review anything but I had to because I would highly recommend this place to everyone :)

Literally everybody I met on the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean and easy to find. Very close to the heart of town. Breakfast we delicious and sufficient. This hotel is better than five star hotels. Front desk all knew English. A true gem!

Room was ready earlier than stated check in time, which was good as we only had 2 days there. It allowed us to get unpacked and go off sightseeing quickly. The location is perfect, inexpensive eating places,bars,ice cream shops,markets and supermarkets nearby. Room small but ample for short stays and clean and surprisingly quiet for city centre. Breakfast was very good. The chap on the front desk organised a taxi for our return to the airport at good price.

• Mike (10/5): Centrally located with great staff - The Jolly is virtually walking distance to all the major sites in Tirana. A few hundred metres from the main square, it's a friendly and accommodating little hotel. The staff were really helpful. The breakfast buffet was great and the rooms simple and clean. Bakeries, grocers and a small supermarket just across the road. All in all - recommended!
• Habib (8/5): Nice cosy hotel with nice staff - Very friendly staff and daily housekeeping was met and everything was good... but my room window faced a roof top of stagnant water so i was affected with mosquitoes and insects... i had to kill some in the middle of the night... but nontheless great hotel

I have traveled to over 30 countries in Europe and this is the best value in a hotel I have ever had. The price was great, the breakfast was more than sufficient and the location was perfect. The staff was helpful and the person at the front desk at night gave me a 2:00 wake up call -even when I did not request it - to make sure I was awake to make it to the airport in time for my flight back to the US. I couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel.

It is very clean and comfortable with a superb location too. The buffet breakfast was lovely and you can even make your own toasties. • Michael (10/5): Small but cozy, super-convenient and very friendly - For exploring downtown Tirana and easy access to the city bus area, it's hard to find a location more convenient than Jolly Hotel. Literally a five-minute walk away from Skanderbeg Square (Tirana's downtown area with historical government buildings, opera house, museums...), Jolly Hotel is on the quieter edge of the city center. The hotel itself is small (maybe 14 rooms?), but it's well-maintained. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, ready to help answer questions or point the way. Hotel rooms are small but comfortable, with everything needed for a short-term sightseeing trip. (Rooms have A/C-heating units that work well, and bathrooms are very clean.) The smaller size of the room actually adds to the overall character and uniqueness of the place, which has a boutique-hotel feel. Free, fast WiFi and a decent breakfast are included, and the room's price was extremely reasonable compared with other (major) hotels in the area. I guess the 'acid test' of a hotel experience would be whether or not you'd go back, and I'll definitely be returning to Jolly Hotel for weekend getaways or short trips to Tirana.
• Kevin (10/5): Affordable hotel near the city center of Tirana. - I stayed at Hotel Jolly for 3 nights. Staff was very friendly and asking what more they could do to help make my stay more relaxing. Room was very nice. Hot water, heating/AC, and satilite TV. Be aware, this hotel is in the center and it can be noisy from outside traffic. Breakfast was nice. Fresh bread, juice, meat, cheese, and pastries were available. If I come back to Tirana I will stay at Hotel Jolly again.

The hotel is in easy walking distance of Skanderberg Square, close to the Central market, shops, bars & eating places. My room was simply furnished but with AC. The staff were helpful & friendly & on my last day when I had a late flight allowed me to delay check-out until late afternoon.
• Jose (10/5): Great location at small price. - The staff very helpful. The location fantastic. Small market outside hotel, good for fruit and nuts. Many coffee places and restaurant. Almost every think to see in Tirana, it's at walking distance. Highly recomended.
• David (10/5): Great Location for Local Life - The hotel was fairly easy to find after we got off the bus at Skanderberg Square, even though it was about three blocks away. There is no lobby, just a check in desk and stairway as soon as you walk in the door. We had a nice room on the second floor, which was an easy walk up the stairs. We had a great view of the neighborhood. There is a large outdoor vegetable market steps away, and numerous coffee houses. There are a few places nearby that serve food. The hotel included the usual European style breakfast of meat, cheese, croissants, etc. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to see everyday life in Tirana. The only downside is that there is a lot of noise at night- dogs barking, traffic, people, and place right below our window with a large screen tv that was showing soccer games.

Only one thing was that there was a transparent curtain and we had to put up a curtain to block anyone from seeing in. We have stayed here before and this is the only room with this. The breakfast is limited, but great for what they have and a perfect way to start the day.

• Helen (10/5): Stay here - I stayed for 2 nights in a single room. It had TV AC and good wifi. It was also spotlessly clean. The girls on reception were brilliant and helped me find internet shops, taxis, restaurants and the post office. Most of the sights are within easy walking distance. I would stay here again definitely.
• Todd (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent hotel with some of the friendliest staff I have encountered. The receptionists even went so far as to walk me to a local restaurant to try some authentic food. Room was cleaned every day. Truly a great place to stay with a warm and friendly staff.
• Ruki (8/5): Nice Hotel - Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean but relatively small. We stayed only one night so it wasn't a big problem. We have to leave early and they offered us an early breakfast. Receptionists were really kind and helpful.
• Goran (10/5): Good hotel with great staff. - We stayed there one night. Hotel staff was excellent, when we came to hotel receptionist named Rovena welcomed us. And she showed us the hotel, room, brekfest area and even helped us carry our bags to the first flor room. Room was new, clean just a bit small, but still ok. Brekfest was selfservice and there was enought food for everyone. Hotel is good and staff is really the best, Rovena helped us with everything that we needed to know about Tirana and whole Albania.
