Guest Reviews
- Avon (10/5): Best all inclusive hotel in Marmaris - Blue Bay is a top class hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so we have book again. The staff are so tentative, entertainment team make you feel good and happy and the food especially buffet is so tasty
- Adem (8/5): Family all inclusive stay in the Blue bay Hotel - The hotel and staff were amazing, the food was second to none, in terms of quantity quality and variety it was unbelievably good , the only negative thing I experienced was the lack of anywhere quite, the music was on at the pool in the lobby and in the restaurant all day and up until late night, in between sound tracks you could hear the music coming from the surrounding hotels. overall it was a great stay , most of the holidays we go on are normally quiet forest camp sites , so I don’t think I will be visiting Turkey again, it seems to be geared towards the shopping and clubbing type of person.
- Tracey (8/5): - Fantastic, everything you need is here, highly recommended. One or two of the staff are a little miserable but that could be due to the very long hours and tiredness it can't be easy.
- Miss Aeleen (8/5): - Blue Bay Platinum is a very clean hotel, staff are friendly and food excellent. Drink is terrible though, we ended up at the supermarket buying wine and beer. All drinks in the a la carte are great but you have to pay for them, all inclusive drinks just really bad. Lack of information from reception on what time meals are, what areas are available to guests, no info whatsoever on any entertainment or anthing really about the hotel. We found the patisserie after two days, couple of days later found out that the beach have loungers that are free to use for Blue Bay guests. Top swimming pool best for the sun all day, bottom pool warmer but more noisy due to it being next to the speaker. There is a more adult friendly area with small swimming pool out the back, not sure on the sun hitting it though. Cleaners are great, anything you need just ask, free water each day for your room, fridge actually worked and air con good.
- Bina (8/5): - The trip was very pleasant and enjoyable
- Hiba (2/5): - Would not recommend this property when there are many similar to it. My items were stolen from my room and after informing the front desk, nothing was done to help. I would not recommend anybody to stay at a place where their personal belongings are not kept safe in their own room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and smiley especially mr antonio who was a chef at the spa.Foods are adequate and there was a lot of option but deserts are limited for our opinion.Location was good enough and they let us use the facility after checking out.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The whole hotel from arriving to leaving. Food was lovely
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Place is amazing staff are amaing cant do enough for you, have booked up 2 go again next year
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The sun bed wars was a downer however i will say they had plenty of spare beds stacked just had to find somewhere to put. We were only there 3 nights room was lovely with sea view and very large. Food was very nice but 3 days we were there lunch was all the same everyday. Staff were great and the Turkish bath was beat one ive ever had also massage was great too
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean. Majority of communal areas were clean although toilets near the pool needed more regular maintenance. Busy hotel, quiet relax pool a peaceful haven.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved the food- really tasty and loads of it. The different spaces meant although there were loads of people there were lots of quiet places
- Anonymous (6/5): Lovely hotel, great location - Really lovely 10 day holiday spent at the Blue Bay Platinum. The rooms need some updating now and the constant daytime entertainment is boring, repetitive and not aligned to the type of guests staying at the hotel (not 18-30). This aside the hotel is immaculately clean, the staff helpful and the swimming pools are more than adequate. The rooms are spacious and the food is lovely - definitely something for everyone!
- A2018 (10/5): Fantastic staff - credit to the hotel. - The staff absolutely made the place - they could not do enough for me during my stay. The hotel is well located with great facilities.
I would recommend it to any one.
- A.alshatti (2/5): - The badness hotel ever i book it ,,,too bod and i never come again
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not a 5-star hotel - Good location. Little bit overrated. Not 5-star more like 4.
RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF !!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - All inclusive hotel for locals
Staff nice - food good.
But rooms are motel-ish.
- Neil (8/5): - Not a lot to fault about the hotel, one of the best I've stayed in. The beach is about 150 metres away if you want to swim in the sea or there are 2 outdoor and one indoor pools. The food is pretty good with plenty of choice and the staff were all great. Theres some on site entertainment in season, a very reasonably priced (£9 for 3 courses upwards) A la Carte restaurant at the front of the hotel if you fancy a change from the buffet. Theres also a lot of good reasonably priced eateries nearby. I would have liked some form of games room to pass half an hour occassionally or some form of television i could watch other than bbc world news, this is a majority British holiday destination after all. My biggest gripe would probably be with the alcholic drinks available which is really poor. There's Efes beer, local wine, Vodka, Gin or Raki and thats it, if like us you drink about 2 beers per holiday, find the local wine somewhat unpalletable, then you may be limited to Vodka or Gin. Overall id say 4* is a fair rating and from what we heard coming back it was far better than several others nearby and I'd go there if going back to Marmaris having purchased a bottle or two at duty free first.
- Jabz (8/5): - Decent hotel with decent services, happy customer
- Verified traveler (10/5): - really friendly staff clean hotel great 5 *
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the location of the hotel, the staff and the facilities are great but the entitainment isn’t great, the food is repetitive and there’s not much to do at the hotel
- ermis (8/5): good trip - it was ok//
- Alexa (8/5): All positive - For me in November perfect. Staff lovely. Room more than adequate and clean. The attached restaurant was good value and quality very good. Nice breakfast. Easy parking.
- kamen (10/5): - Most helpful reception staff I have ever dealt with. My son had his 15th birthday on our arrival day and I had phoned in advance with request if a cake can be organised. Delicious cake was waiting for us in the evening at the A La Cart restaurant of the hotel. Also they done the extra mile organising a massive family room for my mom and dad so they could be close to us. Overall great experience! Thank you!
- Yakub (10/5): Excellent A 5* Hotel - Hi All,
So 2nd visit to this lovely hotel and what can I say everything was perfect. From the reception staff to the Dining staff everyone were ready to help. Read a few poor visits on here before i left and i thought oh no, people having poor experiences, how ever when we got there it was a good experience. Cleanliness was very good and the food was spot on. Although the variety could be better and changed more often...
NIcola at reception very helpful and the manager very helpful, if they don't have it they literally will arrange to get it for us! Cant complain. Shame about the weather as we did not make use of the pool!
When I went last year I had apple baklawa shame they didnt have it this year...
- Sharon (10/5): Nice hotel, fantastic staff - Spa facilities staff and masseuse are amazing. The staff cannot do enough for you. Very welcoming and accommodating. Had a fabulous weekend for great value.
- Shazia (4/5): Ideal location but definitely not five star - Falsely advertised as a five star resort. You will get the bare minimum in your hotel room. No running hot water at certain times. A horrible smell in and around the restaurant which was enough to put you off food.
- j (2/5): Bad hotel - The room was hot and the AC was not cooling, no response from the staff, we requested maintenance but no body came ,rude staff, unhelpful special on reception,I don't recommend to stay in this hotel, delay to bring the car from valet parking and the guy requested from me to bring my car from MMigros park,So noisy early morning from room service staff(cleaners),they are shouting
- coco (6/5): 3 star hotel
- The hotel was clean but very busy.
The food wasn't nice at all....i didnt look forward to any meal times, very disappointing.
- Tina (8/5): Refurbished hotel close to beach - The hotel was mostly good. The bedroom sizes were good, but the living space was tiny and only seating space for 2.
- Aqeel (4/5): New hotel but disappointing - STAY AWAY - unfortunately not helpful staff at all, the food wasn't tasty, room service horrible, they get the payment before we check in to the hotel - I choosed to pay at the hotel , but they charge me immediately when I finish the booking process
there are many other good hotel STAY AWAY
- John (8/5): - Well organised management / staff.
- jojo (2/5): No bed sheets or towels till 3 in morning - Had to wait till 3 in morning for towels and bed sheets to make bed for kids faulty chair in room bruised back will add pictures in daughters phe who's out at present not 5 star more like 3
- carol (8/5): Good value for money all inlusive - Clean tidy hotel. Nice friendly staff. No complaints would stay again
- chris (8/5): Amazing staff supporting by a very good hotel. - Had an amazing holiday in a very modern and stylish hotel. The hotel is situated close to the beach, supermarkets and the main strip of bars and. Restaurants. The hotel was clean, stylish, modern with a variety of facilities. THese included 3 pools (one relaxation pool), a also the spa was very tranquil and reasonably priced but service amazing. Had a Turkish bath and massage which was very good and staff were supportive to your needs in where you needed a bit more work. Food was nice but sometimes didn't really sit well on the stomach, some healthier warm dishes would have been nice. Guest relations was fantastic always there if needed. The bar staff and waiters were very good and attentive with great personalities. One in particular worked in the indoor bar on the lobby level called Mekin and would personally thank him as he made our holiday extra special. Would stay again definitely.
- Fahad (6/5): A 3 star hotel - The hotel doesn't have a sound proof you can hear all the conversation in the next room and no sun block and no direct access to the beach. Except for those the hotel is fine. I would rate it as a 3 star hotel.
- Secin (8/5): American tourist - Turkish star rating for hotels seems to be different from USA - this hotel is definitely not a 5-star hotel. It might have the facilities required for this rating but actual presentation of the services are a little lacking. It was definitely a comfortable hotel for my family. The food was ok. A lot of variety, good sample of Turkish food. Quality was ok - quantity seems to be the focus for all-inclusive hotels in the region. Here is a little breakdown of what we saw:
- Rooms have good AC but rest of the hotel was warm for us. Although there is no smoking allowed indoors, smell was everywhere. There were a lot of European tourists at the hotel and smoking still seems to be popular.
- Parking is a little tricky. You either park on the street on your own or leave your key with the security and they park it for you somewhere. But it is not really a valet system. Your key sits in a large bowl with bunch of other keys and anyone can pick it up - no tracking of keys or owners.
- Facilities need a make over.
- Food was ok. Good sample of Turkish foods (doner, pide etc.). We didn't stay long enough to get bored. Breakfast could be improved.
- Pools were clean. Hotel is not directly on the beach but a short walk. We enjoyed both. Checking out towels seems to be complicated, we had our own.
- Roberto (8/5): What a great spot in marmaris - Great location! Amazing food! The only thing i would like them to fix is the wifi! No wifi in rooms! Apart from that spot on! Entertainment team is amazing!!
- Disapointed (2/5): NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL! - Fell for the scam '40% off today only' offer before reading the reviews.
More fool me.
Says 'Free Parking' but there's only 4 places at the front of the hotel!
Room was the noisiest I have ever stayed in. You could literally hear a phone vibrating in the next room.
Room was not clean and never cleaned during our 8 day stay... only the bed made and the towels were changed.
Terrible 'sea view' of an abandoned shack and waste ground.
Rudest staff ever.
There's plenty of other options in Marmaris, don't believe the star ratings.
- Fay (10/5): Lovely hotel with own beach and close to all shops - Excellent hotel, marvellous staff situated within the best location.
Only problem is some of the ignorant holidayers staying within (no fault to the hotel)
- Sixth Sense (6/5): Good Hotel All Inclusive - This is not a tive Star hotel really. There are a lot of problems to Touch to make this Hotel great because this Hotel location and the facelities really earned.
- Joseph (8/5): Good for layover or early flight - Arrived in advance of a very early flight the next day. Very nice hotel and restaurant. Not much to do but hang in the lobby that is very comfortable.
- vikki (10/5): Never let's us down - 3rd stay this year at blue bays, perfect as usual, carnt recommend this hotel enough, will be booking again for next season
- David (8/5): Pleasant and friendly hotel - Hotel staff were fantastic, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, we had organised in advance a few room extras as one of our party was 50 and the room was made up really well with balloons chocolates bedding sculptures and champagne
Spa is really good hygiene was excellent
- marie (10/5): Vert Nice hotel - Hotel is perfect however thé beach cours be niciest for a 5 * hotel
- lois (10/5): Superb staff great - Wonderful entertainment staff great food good totally good experience pool warm great restful place
- Dennis (10/5): Young and Fun - It was a very modern somewhat trendy hotel.
Many of the guests were young and lively.
It made for a fun stay.
Also, being all inclusive made it very convenient. The food
was very nice.
- susan (10/5): Hotel stay 1st Sept until the 8th Sept - Loved every moment of our stay we had only one slight complaint. We booked 2 rooms and phoned the hotel two weeks before departure to tell them we would need room until 5pm as we had a baby with us and our departure was not until the late evening. We were informed this should not be a problem and we were told to inform the staff upon arrival. When I did this and told them I would pay what ever the extra cost would be they informed me they could do nothing until the day of departure and to inform the reception area at that time but it should not be a problem. Guess what it was a problem I was told we could not keep one of our rooms and that no other rooms were available, it was only when I stood my ground and told them I could not let the baby stay out in the extreme heat for half a day that they relented and found that we could keep one of the rooms. Apart from that one very disapointing aspect I found the hotel to be clean. Staff to be very accommodating and the food gloriously wonderful. They just need to get the small details sorted out to make it totally a wonderful experience.
- pouria (8/5): - It's a nice and clean hotel the only problem I had it was over crowded
And there's not any late bar on the hotel
- Mohammad (8/5): Blue bay - Enjoyable stay, good food and staff. However the room didnt have an iron which is silly.
- matt (10/5): Perfect family holiday - Couldn't rate hotel enough it was fantastic. We enjoyed every minute and there is something for everything. Hotel is in fantastic location and food fantastic.
