The private onsen is really a treat. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I will say the beds could have been better as I choose the western style room. The pillows and bed was pretty uncomfortable but just a minor gripe.

• MAYUMI (8/5): - 宝塚観劇の折に宿泊させていただきましたが、駅や宝塚大劇場から近くて便利です。 食事がとても美味しく、温泉もとても良かったです。 チェックインがPM８時までと早く、宝塚観劇が15時半〜の時は前もってチェックインも出来ないため、夕食を外で食べる場合は時間が無くバタバタします。

• Sheila (10/5): Splendid Experience - 5 star hospitality, as the staff couldn't do enough for me. The Onsen both inside and outside(roof top) was health & wellness at the best. The breakfast each morning was new, delicious, and healthy. Takarazuka City is elegant with cultural sights to enjoy. Just strolling about was wonderful. I will be returning to Hotel Wakamizu. Domo arigatogozaimasu!

• Carina (10/5): Nimm die Suite - es lohnt sich - Wir hatten einen Suite mit privaten Onsen für einen Nacht. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt (glutenfreies Frühstück). Das Hotel ist nur ein paar Minuten von der Bahnstation entfernt. Der Ort hat nicht viel zu bieten. Bei den tollen Zimmer aber nicht schlimm. Besonders toll war das Personal. Sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Im Hotel war es in den Fluren sehr warm. Das Zimmer konnte nicht ganz runter gekühlt werden. Alles in allem aber meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau!

• Nina (10/5): The perfect get away when traveling the big cities in Japan - Hotel Wakamizu was exactly what we needed in our Japan honeymoon! A 30 min train ride from Osaka this little town was the perfect get away. The hotel had all the amenities we could need and then some. The staff was more than kind and patient with us since we don’t speak a lot of Japanese and were very accommodating to us. We last minute asked if we could schedule a massage in the same day and they sent a masseuse to our hotel room that worked wonders on our achey body! We booked the deluxe suite that had the private onsen patio and it had the most fabulous view, softest robes and great toiletries that the hotel provided us. They really made our stay luxurious and relaxing. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness, this stay will be remembered for ever.

Whereas most of Onsen Ryokan only has twin and family rooms, this hotel has a few single rooms, which allows a solo traveller to enjoy proper Onsen at a reasonable price. • Anna (10/5): Delightful stay outside of Osaka with amazing hospitality! - We received by far the best hospitality we have ever experienced at a hotel, and the room and meals were outstanding as well. We stayed in a “Studio with Spa Bath” room, and the in-room tub overlooking the river (with a window that opened) was just as decadent and relaxing as we had hoped. The staff were extremely nice and made us feel so welcome and cared for. Our breakfasts were also delightful introductions to Japanese breakfast cuisine—so beautiful and tasty. Thank you so much to the Hotel Wakamizu team!
• Paul Shan (10/5): - Great location - barely 2 blocks away from the train station. The host, Sugita, that greeted us was fluent in English! She was very hospitable and gave us information/recommendations around the area. The mall across the bridge has many cute stores and food to check out. The whole area is very quiet and peaceful. We got a room with a private onsen, facing the water - beautiful view. Strongly recommend!

• Takahide (8/5): - 家族旅行で利用させていただいて、赤ちゃんもいたのですがバウンサーやおむつ用のゴミ箱があったりしてとても助かりました。 夕食や朝食も満腹になるまでの量があり、大変満足しました。 またお風呂に関しても予約が必要なのだと思われる家族風呂もありたまたまタイミングが良く入ることもできました。 スタッフの対応もとても良くしていただきました。 また機会があれば利用したいと思います。
• Adrian (10/5): A great recharge of the batteries with wonderful staff - Unfortunately this was a very small onsen town that most people wouldn't visit but because of that the staff were incredible as they weren't used to non japanese tourists. They bent over backwards to help us and inform us of how things work. The room had a large window overlooking the river and it was very zen watching the sunset. The private onsen was wonderful and i couldn't recommend the experience enough. If you want to get off the beaten track i would recommend this place as a great reset after a hectic japanese schedule. Nothing the hotel could have done but a bit more exposure to the town would be good as there is not much to do there though we found some great food under the train station.

• Tjiun Wei (10/5): - Property was great. We specifically chose this for its Onsen, so we did not get the chance to walk around the town. But location is very convenient, only 5 minutes from the train station and shopping is close by. Highly recommend, staff super friendly, food was delicious
• Hewlett (10/5): Amazing hot spring hotel near Kobe and mountains - Stayed in Junior Suite and did one day with half board. We had a fantastic experience. Room was really pretty and the suite had a nice hot tub. The riverside view was really pretty, and they had a nice public onsen bath complete with riverside view, jacuzzi jets, and even massage chairs and complimentary drinks in the lounge area. Could also book a private onsen for ¥2,000 which was really reasonable. Service was excellent; staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful. They had some English-speaking staff on duty. There's a ramen shop and a convenience shop a short walk away. The hotel is also near the mountains, so we enjoyed the mountain views when travelling out to Kobe.

• Francesca (10/5): Exceptional - Wakamizu Hotel is my favourite place to stay in Takarazuka. It is perfectly located between the station and the Grand Theatre and has very comfortable rooms and a most friendly and helpful staff, always ready to help me out with any request. The Japanese rooms are very spacious and offer river views and a traditional Japanese atmosphere, with delicious food; the Western-style rooms are smaller but equally comfortable and a great value for money.

• wan chung peter (10/5): A pleasant surprise. - The stay in Hotel Wakamizu is more than expected. The Hotel itself is not in much of a tourist sightseeing spot, but since we have rented a car, and the hotel has offered free parking, it is not much of an issue. The room is very clean and well maintained, and since we have opted for the dinner and the breakfast package, the food itself is very delicious and fresh. It's not a far drive to Arima Onsen and Rokkosan, especially if you actually consider to stay in one of the hotel of Arima, I strongly recommended you to stay here instead, as the price is much lower and with way better quality of stay. We didnt anticipated much when we booked the hotel as we just planned for a place to stay with onsen in the middle of our road trip and I think we are really happy with this accidental choice, as it is a really pleasant surprise and i think we have received great value for the money we pay.
