• Jan (10/5): Highly recommended - A spacious and clean and fully equipped apartment awaited us. Even a washing machine was there which came to use several times. Violett (the front desk supervisor) is a tremendous asset with all her knowledge, helpfulness and friendliness. The location in Baie St Anne is convenient when travelling by ferry but the nearest beach is several kilometers away and there are not very many places to eat at nearby. The famous Jennies bakery is right in the building though! We did not rent a car but most buses stop just outside the hotel. As we left the hotel was temporarily closing down for re-construction but based on the current relation between price and standard the value for money is excellent!

• Manu (10/5): - We visited Seychelles after 5 years and again opted to stay at Old School Apartments. Our experience was great with nicely set up apartments for self catering and a great coffee and food shop right below. The team at the apartment is great and always helpful.

• SYDNEY (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Old School. The apartment is so spacious and has everything you need. Super clean, great shower, comfy bed and lots of storage space. Friendly staff, close to the ferry port and nearby supermarkets. 10/10 and if I’m ever back I would definitely stay again!
• Irene (8/5): - Struttura vicina agli autobus che collegano le varie zone dell’isola e a 10 minuti di camminata dalla partenza dei traghetti per la digue e Mahe. L’appartamento era spazioso e con ogni comodità. Le signore delle pulizie puliscono a giorni alterni e Violette è stata disponibile per ogni nostra richiesta e dubbio. L’unico lato negativo della posizione è che è lontano dalle spiagge, le quali sono raggiungibili solo con taxi o autobus o auto a noleggio (noleggiabile direttamente in struttura). Tuttavia la zona è molto abitata dai locali, quindi è ottima per immergersi nella loro cultura. Nei dintorni ci sono negozi alimentari e take away (raccomandato Cool Licks per il cibo locale e per i prezzi onesti). Molto comodo il bar n.1 posto al di sotto della struttura e la proprietaria è sempre gentile e sorridente ☺️ grazie a tutto lo staff per aver reso la nostra vacanza indimenticabile.

Appartement impeccable, beaucoup de magasins à proximité, la plage et le ferry, l'autobus aussi. En cas de problème, le personnel est disponible tout de suite, J'y retournerai sans hésiter pour l'endroit, un petit bijou ou j'ai pu m'y détendre durant 8 jours, le personnel, et le petit chaton que j'ai croisé sur place et qui m'a accompagné durant 8 jours, un petit bonus. :)

The service is top, they helped ous with everything, especially Violette but also the others. Only bad was that it was on second floor, but it was not there fault that my husband broke his foot. They helped me to get him up and down and much more. Highly recommend this place.

• 446KS (8/5): Good price-performance ratio - We chose the accommodation due to the comparatively low price and the location on the island. We felt well there during our stay. Receptionist Violette gave us a warm welcome and is offering support in tour bookings Thanks for organising permits for Lemurio Resort / Anse Georgette :) Our room was very spacious and well equipped. The only small disadvantage is that you don't have a balcony. Having a rental car you reach both „ends“ of the island in roughly 30 minutes, buses of all lines can be taken. Parking were directly at the building. Also the jetty is nearby.

• Ruben (8/5): Conveniently located place with great aircon - Nice self catering apartment. The aircon in both rooms was really good for nice cool night's rest and definitely stronger than at some more luxury places which is great for Seychelles heat. Kitchen had everything needed to make some food. Location is short drive from jetty for boat from Mahe. Also rented a car from accomodation which was convenient to get around and big parking right next to apartment building. The place was clean and quite big and generally quiet.

• Felix (10/5): - Sehr große und saubere Unterkunft mit mehreren Zimmern. Parken ist kein Problem. Gut zum Fähranleger gelegen. Die Unterkunft hat zwar keinen Meerblick, ist aber dennoch nahe am Wasser und man ist schnell im Vallee de Mai und bei Supermärkten. Nebenan ist noch eine neue Schule, das ist aber von den Geräuschen nicht zu bemerken, falls. Sich jemand Gedanken macht.

Même sans voiture, il est facile de se deplacer sur l'île, il y a un arrêt de bus juste à côte du logement. Très pratique, la présence dun coffee shop en bas du logement.

The room was also nice and had everything you need. Some of the appliances and dishes were a little dirty. However, overall a nice place to stay and close to everything.

She showed us all the rooms and helped with organizational issues. no matter what questions we had, they helped us and were in contact with the one on WhatsApp. Connection here is great too. the bus comes right at the hotel. there is a supermarket there. we are really happy to have booked there. we have never seen such warm-hearted people who helped us with any questions, we would love to come back there again if we should be in the Seychelles again. wish the staff all the best. • Krystle (10/5): - Walkable location to the ferry, very clean and spacious. Hot water and cold AC. Wifi was stable, not enough for downloads though. Staff was so helpful. Stasia arranged for a taxi daily, gave food recommendations and even coordinated my bookings for me. Stasia was always so quick to respond. There is a cafe under the apartments and several spots nearby to walk to. I will definitely share the word.

• Andrea (10/5): - Struttura nuova e moderna con tutte le comodità di un appartamento. Salottino, cucina attrezzata di tutto, camera matrimoniale e bagno molto spazioso e grande. La posizione è vicina ai traghetti, noi siamo arrivati a piedi, circa 15 minuti. La stazione del bus vicina fa si che ci si possa spostare facilmente in libertà, altrimenti si può noleggiare un auto o prendere il taxi. Se si vuole un alloggio moderno e pulito lo consiglio tantissimo.
• Sébastien (10/5): Great Value stay on Praslin - The Old School Self Catering is an amazing price / quality stay on the beautiful island of Praslin. It is conveniently located close to the jetty where you can take the ferry to the other islands. Moreover, the accommodation is situated above the best coffee shop on the island. The rooms are spacious and very (very!) clean. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to other travellers.
• Sabrina (10/5): Perfect! - The stay at Old School Self catering was perfect! Stasia always supported us immediately and reserved cab for us and even planned a super trip to Curieuse! The room was super clean and well maintained. With the bus you can explore the island very easy. In the evening, a cab or rental car is very convenient. My colleague even got a huge birthday surprise (see picture). We can recommend this with full conviction!

Thx to dear Stasia she was going out of her way to serve us she even answered us during her day-off. Houskeeping lady was so kind super-clean and tidy, rented a car from Capricorn CAR rent next door. Had coffee at No 1 cafe down stairs.

• AMAUae (10/5): Wonderful Apartments - We stayed in the 2bd apartment for 3days. They are exceptionally clean, spacious, well equipped inc washing machine, good AC, Wifi. They are located above the No 1 bakery; close to the jetty (20 walk or 2mins by car) for ferries to Mahe and La Digue. With a car 5-10mins takes you to beaches in Cote D’ or area and sunrise beaches. 10mins drive takes you to the West Coast via Vallee de Mai road for sunset. Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette both 25mins drive opposite sides of the island. We felt all roads were fine to drive on around Praslin. We loved the apartment and location (with a car) Angele, the host is very kind and helpful and goes out of her way to help organize whatever you need - Restaurant bookings, Anse Georgette and she also has great local knowledge about the Island. I highly recommend the 2 bd apartment but you will need a car. There’s also plenty of car parking outside. Angele can also arrange car hire if required to see the island.
• MonsieurBlack (10/5): Long term let - I stayed in an apartment here for over 6 months in the last stages of my contract at the school next door. In that time, I found the staff so very helpful and it was a real pity that my stay was curtailed through ill health. These apartments are ideal for bus links and the ferry is a short walk away. The beaches and main restaurants are only 15 minutes away by bus and although the buses stop running early evening taxis are readily available if you ask the staff at whichever restaurant you are eating. Alternatively, they can be booked in advance of your evening out. Typically SR400-500 to or from the main tourist area of Cote D'Or. The dates I have placed on here are wrong since I left in 2017.
• Carolyn (10/5): - The property is huge, well equipped and has amazing air conditioning. The staff in reception are very polite and helpful. When reception was closed I didnt know how to get in touch (one of the ac units stopped working on a sunday afternoon). The location is great for buses and close to the jetty, but there's not much in the immediate area. I would definitely stay there again.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The Old School was an easy spot to stay. Close to the ferry for an early morning ticket, right next to a bus stop and a cafe! We cooked in the apartment which was incredibly convenient. Loved staying and wish I could have stayed longer!

• chitownsam (10/5): Large, well appointed affordable accommodations - Rooms are very large with a full kitchen including microwave, cooktop, oven, and refrigerator freezer. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable, shower was excellent. Breakfast/ lunch available downstairs. Old School is a 16 minute walk from the ferry. There is a bus stop almost directly in front. Buses cost SR 7 and run reasonably often but only until about 1800 or 1830. There are no other restaurants in the immediate area. The restaurant downstairs closes at 1700. A few small mini-marts nearby. Most restaurants open for dinner at 1900 or 1930 so you would have to take.a taxi to get back. Nathalie was extremely prompt and responsive to any/all inquiries. We were able, with prior notification, to check in at 1830. The office closes at 1600. Ask for a room with a harbor view.

• CindyE1065 (8/5): Affordable, good location and excellent service - The old school is apartments on top of some shops and an awesome coffee shop. It is not the conventional hotel set up and it is not the idyllic Seychelles hotel in palm trees with great view, but with that said, that type of accommodation is very expensive and Old School's prices were very affordable, and although there is no magnificent view, the location is central, the apartments are spacious, modern and spotless. Besides we left early in the morning and were out and about till after dark, who would want to sit around when there is a magnificent island to explore.Their service is top class. Nathalie was so incredibly helpful, offered so much advice on matters she didn't have to. Went out of her way to give us an early check in as we arrived at 07:00 am. She made sure we sent her copies of our passport to speed up check in as she knew we would be tired. She arranged us a car at a great price (make use of this service - you wont get a better price and at peak times you run the risk of not having car availability if you wait till you are there, and a car is a must to have on Praslin. We loved having the freedom to go wherever we wanted and when we wanted). All in all, highly recommend.

And expecially for the lovely manager If you are travelling with kids this hotel is top !
• ChristinaHind (4/5): Not for us - I'm clearly in the minority here but there must be other like minded people like me so very unusually, I'm posting a poor review. It is totally true that these apartments are ultra clean, furnished & equipped to a very high standard, ideally situated for bus transportation & handy for the ferry. This combination clearly suits other reviewers very well. The apartments are however, totally lacking in character, and once inside there is nothing at all to suggest that you are in the Seychelles. Our apartment had a view of an industrial warehouse, was dark, dismal & thoroughly depressing. There are so many pretty holiday lets on Praslin, surrounded by palm & banana trees with magnificent views. I totally regret not doing more thorough preparation & staying in one of those instead. Nathalie was in regular contact right up to our arrival. Call me cynical but I had the distinct impression that her 'helpfulness' was only seeking opportunities to make more money from us. Such a contrast to our other Seychelles hosts who couldn't do enough for us without trying to get us to spend more money. I emailed Nathalie to ask if she could store a couple of small bags for us a couple of days prior to our check in. She replied that it's not their policy to do that. When we did arrive the office appeared to be huge, I really couldn't see that storing a couple of small bags would have been such an imposition. We had to cancel the first night of our stay due to some worrying health problems. When I informed Nathalie her immediate reaction was to state that we wouldn't be due a refund. I hadn't asked for a refund, but our experiences from other hosts on the Seychelles have been from a far more caring perspective rather than from such a business angle. If a sterile, bland environment is all you hope for then this is your dream holiday venue, if you want true Praslin, stay almost anywhere else on the island. The buses are so reliable it's definitely worth staying a bit further away.
• Crnoprase (10/5): <3 - Accomodation is wonderful, you could live there forever. It is a real, well equipped apartment with anything that you could possibly need or want during your stay. Cleanliness is one the highest level. Nathalie is the dearest and the kindest hostes that you could meet. She helped us with pretty much everything and made our stay a real holiday dream.

• Verified traveler (8/5): a comfortable flat ...not close to a beach - the place is comfortable, spacious ...the one thing you have to realise is that it is not near a beach and I would strongly advise future guests to hire a car ...which (unfortunately) is the best way to go around and discover the island...our hosts were very pleasant and ready to provide assistance at any time...We think the place is good value for money but once again you have to add on 4O euros per day for the hire of a car;..

Its true that there is not much around there but taking the bus was very easy as the beach its just 15 min. The owner was super friendly and giving a lot of flexibility to late check out. There is also a super nice place for breakfast and lunch downstairs so it was very easy to stay there. The room was very complete, spacious bedroom and all the amenities. So you can cook and was your clothe if you like. Very recommendable!

The location of the hotel is a good base to explore the island, with a bus stop immediately outside and ample parking for cars. Nathalie was great host.

Personnels attentionnés, proximité du port (en face de la station service) qui vous permet de vous rendre dans les iles environnantes comme Cousin sans avoir besoin de bouger en véhicule. Situé juste à côté de l'église de Sainte-Anne et de l'école privée ce logement est situé à environ 2Km de la jetée ou arrive les bateaux inter-iles (CAT COCOS etc...). Parking disponible et gratuit. Boulangerie et arrêt de bus au pied de la résidence et supermarché et supérettes à proximité du logement.

• Bharat (8/5): Our little home! - This was our first experience of a self-catering apartment, and we weren't disappointed. Located near to the BSA Jetty, this place was quite comfortable (both in stay and from travelling point of view). The catering manager arranged a taxi for us from the airport a week before our stay. If anyone is looking to have an experience of managing their own stuff, like buying from near-by grocery store, cook the food themselves and enjoy their time, this is a must visit. Quite different experience from a hotel. The breakfast was repetitive, but the croissants served were quite tasty.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent value for money - Spacious, impeccably clean and very tastefully furnished and well-equipped apartment with everything you could possibly need for a self-catering holiday, including a big kitchen and a very good washing machine. There is also a big safe in the apartment with room for tablets, camera equipment etc. The manager Nathalie was very welcoming and helpful and the cleaning staff was very skilled. Supermarkets, take away restaurants and ATM’s are just a short walk from the hotel. The bus stop is right outside, and all bus lines pass there. The only thing we missed was a balcony and/or a beach close by. The closest beach is about 3 km away.
• sweeth (8/5): Excellent location and access - We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great location to access the jetty and the rest of the island. Many people hire a car here, but even by bus you can explore the island as the bus stop is right outside the apartments. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. From a washing machine (loved this) to kitchen essentials. I cannot fault the apartment. Breakfast is in No1 café downstairs and consists of pastries only. For us this was fine, but do not expect a cooked breakfast. The staff here were lovely. Excellent wifi. The only thing I would have liked is to get more guidance on what there was to see and do, but it's a minor point. I would also suggest that rooms are cleaned everyday whether guests are in the property or not. We didn't mind our room being cleaned while we were sitting in the lounge area, but the housekeeping preferred for us to go out which was a little odd. Overall, do not hesistate to book this place for short or long stays.

Fanns bra med take-away ställen i närheten och supermarket och apotek också nära. Men behövdes hyrbil om man vill äta på någon finare restaurang då bussen slutade gå tidigt och taxi var dyrt. För långt att gå till någon strand, så hyrbil var bra för att kunna ta sig och bada också. Tänk på att det är vänstertrafik och lite läskiga vägar med slingrande vägar och branta backar.

Die Zimmer sind sehr gut isoliert, es gibt jedoch keinen Balkon oder Terrasse. Die Lage ist für alle, die die Insel mit dem Auto erkunden wollen, ideal. Apotheke, Supermärkte, Bank und Post ist alles in der Nähe. Busstation war direkt vor der Anlage. Die Managerin Nathalie ist absolut hervorragend, hilft beim Organisieren und kam einmal sogar am Abend extra von der Nordseite der Insel, da unser Tresor nicht mehr funktionierte. Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

• Kathleen (10/5): Spotlessly clean - A great place to stay. I arrived in the early hours on a public holiday but they arranged a taxi for me and I received a warm welcome. They had even arranged breakfast provisions for me effortlessly. The rooms are spotlessly clean and insect free. The kitchen is very well equipped and I was able to cook comfortably. The bakery downstairs is a fantastic bonus. They genuinely want their guest to have a great stay and go to any trouble to make sure they do. Highly recommend.

Location is a few minutes walking from Baie st Anne, where shops, ATM and restaurants can be found. Great bakery and cafe in the same building. A very nice touch from the management was getting a surprise birthday cake on the day of my birthday that we found when we were back from a day out on the beach, very sweet!

Supermarkt in der Nähe, Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. Würde jederzeit wieder kommen. Absolut beste Unterkunft auf unserer Seychellen Reise.
• Diego (6/5): Casa spaziosa e confortevole - Casa spaziosa con tutto il necessario per cucinare, c’è a disposizione anche una lavatrice che puó far comodo. La colazione è compresa nel prezzo, viene servita in un locale molto carino sotto agli appartamenti, l’unica nota negativa sono le opzioni: o caffè o te o succo d’arancia, si deve scegliere uno dei tre altrimenti si paga un sovrapprezzo, vengono serviti anche tre croissant a persona (anche troppi onestamente...), insomma sarebbe da rivedere un po’ l’offerta. Altra pecca, l’appartamento non ha spazi privati all’aperto (balconi...). Per quanto riguarda l’opzione self catering bisogna considerare che lì i negozi hanno un’offerta molto limitata rispetto alle nostre abitudini, quindi pensare di fare la spesa e cucinare a casa è fattibile ma improbabile, la verdura praticamente non esiste e la carne è solo surgelata. Ci sono un paio di take away di buona qualità nelle vicinanze della struttura raggiungibili a piedi, per trovare ristoranti invece è necessaria l’auto o un taxi (non facilmente trovabile) per spostarsi a cote d’or (circa 3 km).
