• Vicki (6/5): - The staff was good and friendly but the property needs some serious work. The picture showed a room with a seating area by the sliding doors....I guess the furniture got old and they just removed it as the only place to sit in this resort was the bed. Not exactly more than a 2 star rating for that. The bathrooms need a real upgrade as there is mold and discoloured grout and caulking that is really nasty. Finally, it doesn't matter how long you stay, the first 2 bottles of water are free and then you must pay for water after this....never seen anything like that...for water??? Far from the 4 star they claim!

• Amr (6/5): - The Beach of the hotel is amazing, the general hotel design and pandsacpe is nice and has a character yet the hotel is out dated in terms of room furniture, outdoor and beach furniture. Most towels are over used and many of them are ripped! The chaise longues on beach you have to pay for to use which is very weird for me to see something like thing in a beach front resort like hotel! For the staff in general they are kind yet there is a level of slowleness thats a bit much for me! For example for no obvious reason the security guy at the gate stoped us of not less than 10 mins to allow us in for check in, with a massive lag in communication and a not caring attitude. And its the same everytime we drive back to the hotel. The location of the hotel is good in the area of Nungwi.
• Kairi (10/5): - We honeymoon’ed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance. Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon. The rooms were good - had everything you need including bug nets! Staff would also spray the room in the evening to keep bugs away which was greatly appreciated. The view of the beach was great and we didn’t have any issues getting a beach chair to sit on at any time of the day. Highly recommend staying at My Blue Hotel!
• Kine (2/5): Very disappointed - Booked based on great reviews on Hotels.com and SoMe. Was supposed to stay 6 nights, ended up checking out after 3 nights. 1. There was an extreme smell of mold throughout the entire room/bathroom. The mold was also very visible, the curtains, the walls and the shower. 2. The aircon was not working properly and I assume this is also why they have a mold problem. Humidity was extreme in the room and all our clothes and stuff ended up damp, and nothing (swim/beachwear) was close to drying. Due to the climate in Zanzibar I would say it’s very important that there is a functioning aircon with dehumidification function. 3. The room was dirty, especially around the bed, windows and shower. 4. On the bottom part of the window, there were no glass, only mosquito netting. Due to this, it was moist and very noisy in the room. We felt like we were sleeping in a tent on the street. We could hear everything happening outside and had trouble sleeping because of this. 5. The lady in the reception tried to make a problem out of us checking out later than 12:00, which is crazy as we had already paid for 6 nights, but wanted to leave after 3 nights. 6. Over all, in serious need of upgrade, but even small things like mosquito netting around the bed, sheets/linen and towels had holes. 7. Impossible to get sunbeds unless you wake up at 7 to put your towel down. Dirty pools and facilities. Very disappointed, we expected more from a 4 star hotel.

• Erwann (8/5): - MyBlue is a nice hotel direct on the beach, owner is an Italian family, so it's a little bit like in Rimini... If you wnat to have a sun bed on the Beach, you have to pay!! At least Myblue rent these sunbed to everybody for 10$. For 10$ you can stay the all day on the most beautifull beach of Zanzibar, bring your own drink and food, have a free internet the all day. Is that not nice! I paid 3000$ for 9 nights and have to pay extra to be on the beach. Next time i will take an cheap hotel and will spend my day for 10$ at Myblue... When you are booking a room add the information that you don't want a room next to the Disco!!!

• JOACHIM (2/5): - The first room we got, when we opened the door, there was a cat inside staring at us, then we were moved to the second room, where we could not sleep ALL NIGHT because there were termites chewing those woods inside the room and the chewing noise was so loud that we could not sleep! We even recorded it just make the front desk people listen, and they were astonished! Then we were moved again to a third room. This was a really painful hotel stay!!

• Anders (2/5): - Detta är ett stort ganska slitet charterhotell med buffé till frukost, lunch och middag. Många gäster har ”all inklusive” och lägger handdukar på solstolarna tidigt före frukost. Vi hade bokat 5 nätter men stannade bara en. Sängmadrassen hade djupa gropar och luktade gammalt och ofräscht. Även sängkläder och kuddar hade en dålig lukt. Vi hade även termiter i takbjälkarna på badrummet. Ingen bra känsla men Bra läge vid den fina stranden, två pooler.

Middag på stranda på mandag, var flott. Maten derimot var rett og slett dårlig! Vi hadde frokost og middag inkludert. Frokost var litt dårligere enn ok, middag var skikkelig dårlig. Spiste utenfor, på andre restauranter siste dagene. Oppholdet var allikevel verdt hver krone!

La mia camera non era il massimo del confort, aveva un cattivo odore di umidità misto a spray antizanzare, che non andava via. Sarebbe anche un po' da rinnovare. Macchie di umido alle pareti. Cattivo odore nel bagno, anche se l'housekeeping ha sempre fatto il miglior lavoro possibile. È capitato che mancasse l'acqua. Ma la cosa che meno ho gradito è stato uno solo ristorante con solo servizio a buffet, di qualità media, che per di più nel prezzo include solo il bicchiere d'acqua a quanto pare anche nelle formule all inclusive. Il bar aveva un piccolo menù a la carte, ma troppo poco per chi non preferisce le cene a buffet con centinaia di persone impazzite. Avendo scelto solo b&b ovviamente era tutto molto limitante. Cercare altrove è stato meglio. Spiaggia bella, bella anche la piattaforma con la piscina e ombrelloni. Nel complesso, una struttura con un bel potenziale ma gestita non in modo consapevole.

Sur taxes chambre de 70€ alors que nous avions déjà payé et choisi notre chambre de luxe Lit matelas inconfortable Juste tissu rouge comme couverture, pas de couette Pas de carte sur la porte pour indiquer ne pas déranger ou merci de nettoyer la chambre La nourriture et bonne et les corbeaux en profite dès que vous quittez la table pour aller chercher votre café ou autre nourriture Par contre aucun dessert c’est dingue et les 3 fruits proposés sont vraiment pas bon ou peu sucré Les petites bananes sont bonnes Plage propre et transat confortables Les chambres sont propres et bien nettoyées Salle de bain ok La TV écran plasma mais 1 chaîne française de documentaires pas de chaîne TV concernant les actualités en France et Qualité image très mauvaise Wifi très mauvais saute régulièrement Personnellement nous ne retournerons pas dans cet hôtel My BLUE. Le personnel a un regard très condescendant et critique. Très mauvaises vibrations si vous avez le malheur de réclamer quelque chose de normal, le personnel le prend comme une attaque et ils se passent le mot entre eux. Grand manque de professionnalisme et de sérieux. Le fils du dirigeant qui nous saluait tous les matins a lui aussi adhéré à ce genre de gaminerie. Nous nous sommes sentis très mal à l’aise avec ce genre de management. Beaucoup de clients mécontents

• Wai Yan (8/5): - Pleasant 5 nights stay. The two housekeeping ladies are genuine with big smiles. Dinner options are satisfactory (considering the standard in Africa). Rooms are old but with this price point it is fair. The rest of the hotel including swimming pool and bar area are pretty.

• Sarah (10/5): - Notre séjour au My Blue Hôtel s’est merveilleusement bien passé. Le personnel est très attentionné et souriant. L’hôtel dispose de 3 piscines dont 1 au bord de l’océan dans un cadre incroyable (magnifique sunset). Nous étions en pension complète et la nourriture est appréciable. La responsable Cashier a été très compréhensible en nous permettant de faire un Check-out tardif en attendant notre vol retour. Notre séjour est positif sur tous les aspects. Merci pour ce séjour !
• jean-jacques (4/5): - Je vais être obligé de critiquer l'hôtel malgré un séjour qui, dans l'ensemble, a été très agréable (la plupart des employés sont souriants et serviables, plage et mer magnifique, jardin tropical luxuriant)Malheureusement, 2 points qui me paraissent impossible à occulter : le 1er (le plus grave), nous avons été volés d'environ 30 euros dans notre chambre (environ parce qu'il y avait euros et dollars). La direction n'a tenu aucun compte du signalement, nous répétant incessamment que nous avions dû nous faire voler en dehors de l'hôtel ou que nous avions été négligeant (limite nous étions voleurs et menteurs); de plus, nous avons eu affaire à la responsable de l'hôtel et à une employée (pas Aneth qui elle est adorable, souriante et serviable) au relationnel détestable (je pèse mes mots), ces personnes ont anglais est très approximatif (aucun employé ne parle même un peu le français) et se permettent de souffler et de lever les yeux quand vous demandez à répéter et parler lentement .Il y a donc des vols dans l'établissement (déjà signalés sur d'autres sites) Le 2nd : crevaison de ma voiture de loc. et pas de cric, il a fallu que j'ai de l'aide d'un taxi extérieur (comme quoi ils sont adorables) l'hôtel n'a rien fait ou presque pour remplacer ma roue. J'ai crevé une 2nde fois et j'ai du me débrouiller seul (téléphone en anglais avec la population locale Très compliqué)....Vraiment dommage
• Thibaut (10/5): - 3ème séjour dans cet hôtel, toujours aussi agréable. Très bonne idée d’avoir déplacé le restaurant au bord de la plage. Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Une seule suggestion : remplacer les oreillers vraiment trop durs!

Værelserne var rene, maden var god, servicen var fantastisk, stranden var virkelig smuk og alt var bare perfekt. Hotellet har fx fællesmiddage på stranden med musik og underholdning, hvilket har været meget fedt. Udover selve hotellet, har vi også fået bestilt en masse ture gennem hotellet, fx. snorkling på en anden ø og en bådtur under solnedgangen, hvilket var virkelig dejligt. Det har alt i alt været en rigtig god ferie med et hotel der helt klart kan anbefales!

• Fahd (10/5): Très bon resort - Très bon hôtel, avec plage et 3 piscine. Chambre correct, avec bar et restaurant en buffet. L’hôtel crée des animations le soir pas gênant si vous cherchez du calme. Petit hic pour le soir, du fait de la marée qui remonte, difficile de sortir se promener. Attention toute fois quand vous prenez des consos au bar, au Check out vérifiez bien les tickets, j’ai failli en payer un à quelqu’un, il s’était trompé et l’avait mis sur ma chambre. Le service est pas mal, mais pour les excursions je ne peut pas vous renseigner car j’avais déjà un contact la bas qui fait de très bon prix. L’hôtel a aussi uk bureau de change au cas où. Globalement services au top, le personnel se met en 4 pour vous satisfaire. Au bar il propose aussi des chicha, ce qui est petit plus pour se détendre en soirée.
• rosanna (8/5): Bel posto - La struttura esternamente è tenuta molto bene. Le camere sono spaziose, seppur arredate economicamente, pulite e il bagno con doccia e asciugamani cambiati giornalmente. La spiaggia privata di sabbia bianca è in ottima posizione per godersi il tramonto. Sdraio moderne e nuove. La cucina un pò ripetitiva e l'angolo pasta da migliorare. La serata con cena in spiaggia e musica é stata bellissima. Il frigobar sempre rifornito con acqua e bibite. Non mi è piaciuto non avere una bottiglia d'acqua a tavola ma dover sempre chiedere ai camerieri che riempivano il bicchiere. Il mio giudizio, comunque, a parte qualche pecca è molto positivo
• Benitto (8/5): Excellent option for Nungwi Vibe ! - The stay was amazing and the location is fantastic. Also the restaurant at the hotel is with awesome view.
• Wesam (10/5): Great - Spent 5 nights it was an amazing experience and staff are very friendly, the location is great, I had full board booking with 3 meals a day the food was average you might find something suits you from the buffet
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Stunning grounds, large, comfortable rooms, great location. I was thrilled to arrive. But the staff need better training. 2 issues—1 minor and common, 1 major and shocking—spoiled my stay. Minor—the breakfast area staff are TOO aggressive about taking away plates. Every 3 minutes someone tried to take my half-finished plate and coffee. Let a man enjoy his breakfast in peace without being rushed! Major—checkout was AWFUL! 5 staff behind the desk, only me and 1 other couple in front of the desk, but it took nearly 30 minutes. When I presented my door bracelet, and said "checking out," the staff looked at me blankly. I was ignored for 10 minutes. They finally got around to it, another 10 minutes later they came with a US$2 bill for tourist tax. (I paid $180 for the night, but OK...I gave 5,000 shillings) "Are we done?" "we check the room now." "Just now?!!" 20 minutes into it, I tried to leave (had a boat trip departure for my 50th birthday that was NOT flexible due to the tides). They LITERALLY held me captive. The security guard seized my bag from me and protected the gate, crying that he would be fired if he let me out. Shocking! I said: "look if you want anything at all from me, simply ask for it and I will gladly give whatever it is, but I MUST leave NOW" but they wouldn't budge until I made an ugly scene. I arrived 15 minutes late to my destination and was lucky to board the boat. Sum: More "Pole Pole" needed in the dining area, and far LESS needed at checkout.

• Ken (8/5): Nice hotel close to fabulous beach - Overall the hotel property was nice. The included meals were good and buffet style. The Friday night dinner on the beach was great. A small point for some perhaps is that the pillows were small and a bit lumpy. The beach was fantastic apart from the annoying touts or "beach boys as they call them who harass you endlessly to buy things and tours. They hang out right in front of the hotel property, and spoiled every visit to the beach as they follow you even after you tell them you're not interested. If the hotel can't move these people on it would be great if the authorities would do something about it. Either move them away, or allow them to set up a tour stand with the proviso they don't harrass visitors.
• Gai ottolenghi (2/5): A terible hotel - We had no hot water for 4 days of staying, we offerd no compansation from mannegement and the one thing that they could tell us about it is "welcome to Zanzibar". The room was old and smelly. We paid around 200 U.S dollers for this lowsy treatmant and old room and facilities. We were at our Honeymoon and we got no champaine or any notification of it and the Hotel just ruined our Zanzibar vacation. The worst value for money. The same food in every meal. I wouldn't seggest my enemys to go there
• Angel (6/5): Nice Hotel Nasty Staff at reception - This is a nice and comfortable hotel. Location is great, food is amazing and in general, staff is very pleasant. The only bad experience was at the reception upon our arrival. They were rude and kind of nasty. At one point, I called them because I wasn't satisfy with the room I got (I have asked for two beds and got only 1), and the lady was even screaming to the man on the phone, obviously mad at me. Even at the check out they were rude! Finally, if you drink, stick to beers and wine as the cocktails is nothing but juice!
• Verified traveler (8/5): My Blue - Mattress was not good, it was too soft. Could not sleep whole night. Please ask the hotel to change the mattress.
• Goncalo (8/5): Positive experience - Amazing spot to relax! Staff very friendly. Hotel very Good In general but the room was 'asking' for manutenaince (toilet, AC, etc) Good entertainment during a Beach dinner very well organized. A positive experience.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good food, great beach... Shame about the rooms - The food is good with plenty of choice and the staff are all very friendly and efficient. This is very much a holiday resort for Italian guests. Th rooms are not so good... Shower leaking and the bathroom in genera need of maintenance. TV initially didn't work at all, then after being "fixed" gave half blue screen and half yellow making all viewing like some sort of smurfs meets Simpsons episode. Not that the tv was majorly important with nungwi beach being so accessible. Beds very hard but still had a good sleep. Aircon in room very bad and temp can't ups not be changed. All inclusive price only includes food and drinks at meal times... Therefore calling it all inclusive is misleading so be prepared for extras.
• Marius (8/5): Nice hotel, beautiful beach - Great hotel with all the expected amenities for a 4 star hotel. Absolute paradise with the best beach on the island. It needs to be noted that the hotel is an Italian establishment, which isn't a problem, however the staff are mostly only proficient in Italian or Swahili and not English. I did expect more of a buffet selection, and the quality of the food is variable. It wasn't for the food, I would have given it 5 out of 5. Thanks for a great stay.
• Danielle (8/5): Zanzibar gem - Real treat in Zanzibar, Italian owned and fest language. But they love having us there , fascination of English. Great setting, right in beach, sunsets lovely laid back hotel, food super, entertainment and drinks day time refreshments very good. Short walk (on beach) to action of Nungwei if you want it.
