- Alison (8/5): - Great little b&b, the owners were lovely and super helpful. We stayed in a room with an ensuite, whilst old interior, it was comfortable and clean. The gardens were nice and great parking options.
Continental breakfast was on offer, no hot options, it would have been nice to have had an option for a cooked egg etc. Also, as it was a full house, we were only given 30 minutes to eat & and have coffee before the next sitting came down. Not a big deal, a nice and easy stay for 1 night.

The house made baking that is a part of the breakfast was delicious. The air conditioning in our room was amazing as the temperature was 35C when we checked in. Quiet nights in an immaculately clean room made our stay a 5 star experience.

- Wendy (8/5): Lovely stay in Port Alberni! - Our stay at Cedar Wood Lodge was lovely. The couple that own and operate the B&B were wonderful!! They were very helpful with their suggestions as to what to explore while in Port Alberni and let us know of the road closures and what time it was best to travel to Tofino. The room itself was very spacious, and clean. The decor could do with a bit of updating and the futon was a bit uncomfortable. The hightlight of our time at the B&B was truly the couple who ran it!! I would not hesitate to recommend their B&B!
- Clive (10/5): - The owners, Tom and Marla, are wonderful hosts. Because of covid restrictions, only a continental breakfast could be provided, but it was excellent.
- Wayne (8/5): - The property is a b&b but found Tom & Marla a bit overwhelming. The rooms are clean & comfortable, however the street noise is continual throughout the night. It was our choice and elected not to have breakfast and came across that we were not following their rules. Would have been nice to have bedside table & LAMP on both side of bed.
- Glenn (10/5): - Lovely place
- Hae Dong (10/5): - substantial breakfast in this Covid situation!
Also, everything is decent!
- Jesus (10/5): - The property is great, the service is amazing, these people is fantastic and the service they provide is outstanding, I would definitely stay there again..
- Roderick (10/5): Port Alberni B&B - Excellent stay and the host and hostess were fabulous and provided great information about the area!
- Peter (8/5): Comfortable home style stay - Host greeted us at the door and explained the rules of the house in a very friendly manner. His suggestion for dinner was excellent.
- Raymond (10/5): Restful stay in small hotel. - A beautiful stay in Port Alberni. Breakfast is provided. The couple who runs the place is lovely. Massaging tub was nice after a long tiring day.
- Yu-Ju (10/5): - Very Clean room, great service.
- Dirk (10/5): - Lovely bed and breakfast, friendly hosts and excellent breakfast.
- Sheriann (8/5): - The place was spotless, lots of loving care obviously goes into their establishment. It’s somewhat dated in appearance but easily overlooked knowing it’s spotless.
- Marian (10/5): - very friendly with good info about Tofino and area and very accomodating
- Doreen (10/5): Comfortable, personalized service - Stayed here for a couple of nights while making a quick visit to Tofino. Definitely not your chain hotel experience! Beautifully personal service from our hosts, who not only gave us extremely useful information about road construction closures on the way to the coast but also lent us towels and boogie boards for the beach. Our room was comfortable and quirky, and breakfast (cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice, muffins, etc.) was lovely, even if it did have to come wrapped in too much plastic because of covid restrictions, something our hosts lamented from an ecological point of view. Would happily stay here again.
- Jose (10/5): - very clean and friendly
- Vanessa (10/5): Lovely stay at Cedar Wood Lodge. - We had a lovely stay at the Cedar Wood Lodge. The beds were really comfortable. The homemade breakfast was top notch. We will be back!

- Mark (8/5): Great service! - Great service at breakfast. Super friendly and helpful hosts!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. Many B&B's have given up trying to do the 'Breakfast' part of B&B during the COVID pandemic, but these hosts managed it, which we appreciated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great scone for breakfast!
- Anaar (10/5): Fun comfortable stay at Cedar Wood lodge! - The stay was comfortable and amazing.. Tom and Marla were friendly and very informative about things to do and roads and directions..the breakfast was prepared with love and everything was homemade including the jams.. and very delicious.. thanks Tom and Marla! All the best on the sale and retirement! Anaar Giga

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet location, beautiful garden setting. Room had every convenience imaginable including air conditioning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place to stay and very attentive hosts
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A quaint small Inn surrounded by an historic garden, for which the hosts have a passion for the knowledge and history of the property, and the many vacation destination within the area.
The personal touches in antique decor adds to the charm and ambiance of the Inn.
The morning continental breakfast full of home baked breads and pastries along with fresh fruit and a variety of home preserve jams and marmalades.
A must stay

- Ian (10/5): - Great location and wonderful hosts. Rooms are very comfortable and many little extras. We were fishing early in the morning and they made us bagged breakfasts so big we had lunch too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and updated facilities, lovely breakfasts (the homemade granola and fresh-baked croissants were delicious), and very welcoming hosts. Definitely our first choice for accommodations next time we’re in town!
- Bruce (10/5): Recommend - Very nice, friendly owners, comfortable room, would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - n/aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning also kept it very comfortable. We appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was. A cozy oasis that felt a bit like a stay at a trusted home or a trip to your parent's place. It was just perfect for us during a family wedding in the area. The selection from the cold breakfast offerings was extensive. Great coffee too! We highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful host. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable accommodations. Would stay again.
- Helmut (4/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt - Zum Frühstück gibt es Croissant, Kuchen, Obst und Joghurt. Optisch sehr gut aufbereitet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We found the property well laid out, the amenities good and the hotel operator and wife very pleasant and accommodating. We would recommend this site to all persons interested in a quiet and yet informative stay in the Port Alberni area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very cute cottage feel place. The owners were very friendly and wanting to answer any questions you might have. Breakfast however was alright, very minimal and basic
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful grounds around the BNB - very serene. Owners are delightful. The bed was very comfortable. Large selection continental breakfast with delicious home baked goodies, cereals, yogurt, etc.
An idea for future consideration: take orders for cooked breakfast the night before.
The property is lovely and very traditionally furnished. Our room (#1) had a futon inside which was our “sofa” - not comfortable and very low.
Would definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cute little place and the owners seem like lovely people. Nice room, would go again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The warm welcome, the peaceful setting, the comfortable & spotless room and the splendid breakfast all exceeded my expectations. There was nothing with which I was not completely satisfied.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was very happy with my stay here. The hosts were very friendly and were attentive to meeting my needs. The place was very quiet, clean and beds very comfortable. Provided breakfast had lots of variety and with quality choices. I would call this stay an upgrade from a traditional hotel.
- David (10/5): Lovely Place - The room was clean and very comfortable and the French press coffee was the best!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a great stay. The hosts were very accommodating and the Inn was very clean and comfortable. I will recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Pt. Alberni.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely people. Felt like a home. Really nice breakfast options with home made jams and fresh baked goods.
