• Pat (10/5): Wonderful stay in heart of Sorento - Comfortable bed, spotless room with balcony overlooking the street and hills around us, with excellent air conditioning. Room had all the mod cons we could ever want. Our lovely host -Maria Teresa was available all the time, although we had no problems whatsoever. Location was within a few minutes walking distance of the port and all the attractions in Sorento Everything was perfect

Maria was absolutely wonderful, explained everything, gave helpful suggestions about food , which we tried Pizza de Franco, and it was great..especially the tiramisu. Bed was extremely comfortable, a nice breakfast was served in our room. I wish I had stayed another day in Sorrento, but this just gives me an excuse to return! There was nothing I didn’t like…it was great.

• Florence (6/5): - Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett sehr gut. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich Das Frühstück war mit Liebe zubereitet. Allerdings kann das nur auf dem Balkon mit Abgasen und Autolärm eingenommen werden. Die Fotos stimmen vielleicht für ein Zimmer. Für diese Leistung war der Preis mit 300 Euro pro Nacht zu hoch.
• Catarina (8/5): - I wish the property was as advertised. No 24 hour desk so I had to wait for check in. Also said pool but you had to pay to use a pool that belongs to an actual hotel. The personal efforts and enthusiasm was appreciated but not what was advertised. Also, shower leaks, a few ants in the room, and towels awful.
• Paul (10/5): Great place, great owner, great location - Maria was extremely helpful throughout our stay and was a pleasure to speak to. Breakfast on the balcony is a great touch, even down to asking how you would like your coffee served each day. Location of the apartment is amazing, and facilities are comfy and clean and modern. The balcony is loud during peak traffic hours but you cannot have the location without the noise, and the doors do a great job at blocking this out while you sleep.

The tours she recommended were wow. Really had a great stay with very warm welcome. Everything was great. The room, service, and location. One thing we didn't love is the noise at the balcony since the hotel is located in the centre. But when inside the room there is no noise at all.

They care about their guests and take good care of them - We originally booked 5 nights and enjoyed the property, the owners, and the city so much that we extended our stay 2 extra nights. The room was very comfortable and very clean. We had an excellent breakfast every morning. We ate on our balcony which overlooked an orange grove with mountains in the background. It was a beautiful way to start our day. The location is perfect. A short walk from the train station and close to Piazza Tasso. We liked everything about this property. We had a great time. The owners are beautiful people.

There was nothing. Only on booking.com it states there is a swimming pool but it’s at another hotel and costs 25€ pp for sun bed & towel, it’s 5min walking distance.

Incredible restaurant right outside the door. We also took part in a recommended Amalfi Coast day trip and Capri tour which didnt dissapoint.

Breakfast served on our balcony was fresh and delicious and the host went above and beyond to help with activity planning and restaurant options! We can't wait to return.

She was friendly and helpful and could not have been more welcoming. The property was very clean and very well appointed. She also gave us loads of helpful suggestions for our stay. It was a bit noisy on the balcony but the windows were of sufficient high quality that this was not an issue for us.

• Wanda (10/5): Had a lovely four day stay in Sorrento - We had a lovely four night stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the rainshower had hot water and plenty of room. Maria Theresa was a perfect host. She came to check us in and was a wealth of information for sightseeing, tours and general info. She was very responsive and to easy to communicate with through WhatsApp. Each morning a lovely breakfast arrived that we could sit out on the balcony and enjoy. We would definitely recommend this place.

The room itself was clean and spacious. the only thing we were misinformed about was the pool- we thought this was included with the booking but once we arrived it was told to us that it was 20euro per person per day.
• Brian (7/5): Visit the Amalfi coast it is spectacular. Don't stay in Sorrento. - The breakfast was excellent. It was about a ten minute walk to town so fairly central. the room was small but adequate. The staff are delightful and helpful. Everything was clean and was cleaned daily. It is located on Sorrento's main road and was noisy 24 hours a day. It is small and breakfast has to be eaten on the outside deck with traffic especially motorcycles rushing by very noisily all the time. Booking.Com advertised the hotel as having a pool. This is not true! The property has an agreement with another hotel that guests can use the pool for a fee of 20 euros per person per day. Extremely misleading and disappointing. There are photos of the pool on bookings website which make it look like it is part of the hotel. Also the photos of the outside of the hotel show tress and greenery. This is across a busy street on a steep hill. the views from the balconies are of cars, street and clothes hanging to dry from nearby apartments. Again misleading. Shame on you booking.com. First and last time we will use you.

• Weitzman (9/5): excellent experience all around with outstanding service. - great location to walk to Piazza Tasso—the center of Sorrento dining & shopping. Maria Teresa and her staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast service was outstanding in every way. Fresh towels daily. if you face the Corso Italia there’s quite a bit of traffic noise as early as 5 AM. The process to check in, get keys etc is a bit cumbersome. not a problem once you’ve got the keys, but you should be aware. While we didn’t use it, we were not aware that the pool location was not on the property and that there was a significant charge for usage. Again, something that should be made clear upfront.

Maria was very accommodating and good with communication, helping us book a place on a tour and recommending local things to see. The room was spacious and balcony good enough size for breakfast. Maria was a great host. The location it convenient, however the road outside is a bit noisy during the daytime (just traffic noise). I must emphasise you barely hear this with the balcony door closed (and the room has air conditioning) and of course theres nothing the owner can do about traffic. We had breakfasts on the balcony but it was rather noisy. This did not spoil our stay though.

• Anita (9/5): We enjoyed our stay very much. - The location is within walking distance of the train station, but if you are an older traveler, you might want to take a taxi. Our host, Maria Teresa, was wonderful and was very willing to make our stay the best. A list of excursions was provided before we arrived, as well as a booklet in the room. A light breakfast was included in the room price and was brought to the room each day by Saman (who was helpful and delightful). A nice Irish Pub is next door and a very popular restaurant is nearby. Breakfast was not available until 8 AM, so if you have an early excursion you will need to plan ahead.

Location is perfect for the train station and only a short walk to the centre Property is situated on a busy road meaning lots of moped beeping late at night unfortunately.

Maria was so friendly and helpful and was always on hand throughout our stay and booked our excursion to capri which was amazing! Location was excellent short 10 minute walk into main sorrento so super handy as we didnt need to get any public transport. The breakfast was also a lovely touch hand delivered to our room so we could enjoy on the balcony everyday! Nothing
• Ralph (6/5): - A photo with the pool is very misleading. Definitely overpriced for a small room. This is not the hotel Bougainvillea Relais. In fact, the hotel is several blocks away and their is no access to the hotel except for a $20 per person pool pass. The bathroom was clean but there was a ring of black mold around the ceiling. That was cleaned after I complained. Towels were like sand paper and the sheets were worn and tattered.

Being within walking distance to nearby restaurants, shops, the Lift down to the beach and port, was great.

Breakfast was great, there were also good restaurants and local shops nearby. Air-conditioning worked well too, which is a must with the hot weather! We enjoyed our stay, nothing we didn't really like. It's about a 10 minute walk to the piazza. Not too much of an issue as it's a nice flat walk, but it's a little harder when the weather is extremely hot. Be prepared to pay 20 euro for pool access at a nearby hotel. The pool area was nice though.

Our room was the perfect size for what we needed, and was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The accommodation is in a good central location, the main square in Sorrento is a short walk away. Maria is so friendly and has been extremely helpful and provided us with recommendations for places to eat/drink and activities to do in the local area. We would definitely return here.

There is no front desk but we were in touch with Maria every day and she gave great instructions on how to get in the property and she helped set up taxis for us that their was no front desk but communication with Maria was great thru text messages

Our balcony faced the street so it was too loud to sit out there. No full-length mirror. For us, it was a bit far from the main square, about a 10-15 minute walk. The owner was very helpful with tours and taxis. We even locked ourselves out of the room and she had to come all the way back.
• Jinshi (9/5): Excellent place to stay - Modern finished room, exceptionally clean, convenient location, super friendly staff sensitive sleepers might have a hard time to sleep, as the noise from the road is almost non stopping, even at night. The management has tried their best to have soundproofing balcony doors which muffled the noise somewhat, but the noise level may still be high for some sleepers.

Location - Right next to a TikTok famous restaurant that she also recommended we go to. Best meal I had in all of Italy. Also right by a fun & friendly bar we had pre-dinner drinks at. Minibar - great to have a stocked mini-bar. Rooms - clean and nice rooms too! Tours - offered and coordinated local tours. My parents did a Gelato making one Cash Euros to pay city tax. I know that's the norm....
• James (10/5): - So happy we found this place. It’s a great place to stay in Sorrento! Teresa the proprietor was a gracious host who made sure everything was taken care of. Cappuccino, croissants and yogurt breakfast on the balcony was a perfect way to start the day. It’s walkable to downtown Sorrento to access to shops and restaurants. The memory foam was very comfortable, the auto shades make the room completely dark and the sound proof doors kept the street noise out. Just the way we like it. Like all European hotels the rooms are small but comfortable for two people. There’s a terrific Italian restaurant just next door where the food and service was amazing at an affordable price. We did the Pompeii tour that Teresa was able to secure for us and would recommend it for anyone visiting the area. Teresa also has a restaurant in downtown with the same name that serves pizza, pasta and gelato. We stopped and had Neapolitan pizza and it was very good. Better than the one we had in Rome. Overall a great place to stay at an affordable price. Would highly recommend.

• Kate (10/5): Perfect location, incredibaly clean, the best hosts! - Location - very central perfect for walking to restaurants, lovely local restaurants around! Whilst also being quiet - we had no noise from the road or neighbours it was so peaceful! Clean - VERY clean, everything was spotless! no Hosts - so friendly and super accommodating, we were a very last minute booking and they helped us immediately! They came and met us straight away, room was ready! Really lovely hosts, I didn't feel like a bother (even though I checked in 10 minutes after booking online - so grateful!!) Breakfast - was delicious!! Flexible with timings, brought it directly to our door, asked us what coffee we liked, felt very personal and friendly. Lovely space - nice shower, lovely balcony, great smart TV, coffee and tea facilities, super comfy bed and pillows! I would highly recommend!!

• Nicola (10/5): A wonderful stay in a beautiful place. Fabulous relaxing room and very friendly hostess - We caught a train from Naples to Sorrento. Returned to Naples on Ferry. The host had texted us the day before to ask if we needed collecting, time of estimated arrival etc... It was easy to locate the Hotel. We arrived far too early but were accommodated with a welcoming smile and not a problem. The room was an ideal size, memory foam beds, attention to detail which felt luxurious, boutique style, exceptionally clean and a good priced mini bar. The balcony was lovely. Fresh air and privacy as patio doors onto balcony also converted to a window with curtains and electric operated shutters. Host was very friendly. A wonderful breakfast was delivered to the patio at the times we asked. We absolutely loved it and wish we had been able to stay longer. The streets were so clean and shops inviting. It felt very peaceful. Having to leave.... I cannot fault the room, the location, the breakfast or the host . Wonderful.
• Cameron (10/5): Brilliant location, wonderful host who speaks perfect English and a very clean, lovely room. - Our host, Theresa, was absolutely lovely, greeted us persnally and helped guide me into the parking. She also gave us a lot of suggestions for dining and visiting the area. The room was perfectly clean, had a lovely outlook and was perfect for our quick overnight stay. Honestly couldn't faul the property at all, for the money it was just perfect.

We were very happy to stay & would return. Although pool not attached to property it is no more than a 2 minute walk from property, we’re the amenities are excellent & staff friendly, very relaxing & well kept.
• Teresa (10/5): Brilliant Accomodation - We highly recommend Bougainvillea Relais! The room was spacious lovely and clean with a sweet balcony to enjoy our breakfast which was served promptly at a time that suited us. Fresh pastries, fruit juice & more. Maria Teresa was super helpful with any assistance we could need, be it transport, tour guides, restaurants. All in all very kind & generous with her time . Samal the room service gentleman also deserves a special mention as he delivered our breakfast & more always with a smile and politeness that made the start of our day super positive.
• Anonymous (9/5): Sorrento is a bustling tourist destination and just a short train ride to Pompeii. The host Maria is extremely helpful i - The property was very clean and well serviced .
• Sharon (9/5): Beautiful room with balcony. - Maria Teresa is delightful! She and her daughter assisted us throughout our stay. She is very knowledgeable. We received breakfast each morning on our balcony. A beautiful experience. The room is clean, modern, comfortable. We enjoyed wine on our balcony each night. Excellent location. Market close by. Not difficult to get to port. It is not easy to locate the entrance on street level. The door is locked so you must let the management know you have arrived. I called and left a message. It took a while, but someone came down to let us in. We had numerous problems with internet. Router was reset many times. We were having difficulty receiving emails from our drivers.

The room was amazing and it was easy to get around the town. I would definately stay there again when i visit sorrento next time.

The breakfast was lovely, which we had on the balcony each day, the property is in an excellent location, super clean, and Maria Teresa went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed. Thank you! Nothing we didn’t like. I know some people mentioned the noise outside, it was quieter than my London flat and I don’t live on a main road so no issues there.

She was easily reachable via WhatsApp to answer any queries we had and got back to us so quickly. The room was really clean and comfortable. The location is ideal and Saman who worked there was lovely to deal with too. Breakfast was continental each morning and was lovely to get it served on your balcony.

It was very windy during my stay. Maria volunteered to call the local ferry companies to check the availability of their service every day for me. With her help, I was able to finalize my travel plan.
