- Maria (6/5): - I booked a room for 4 but they charged me 108 dollars more because they said it was for 2 kids. The room was hot and the fan was dirty with mold on it. The partial ocean view was completely covered by an old palm tree that needed trimming. The WI-FI did not work in the room. The outside was beautiful though.

- ELIAS (2/5): - Really disappointed with our stay this time around we have stayed multiple times but this visit was not acceptable, pool super dirty , people eating in the pools , super noisy at night loud people kids running through hall ways plus we were charged for my 13 year old as an extra ( adult ) so that was unexpected so don’t think we will be coming back soon which is unfortunate because like I said we have stayed here with no issues in the past ( plus the lady in the reception was rude )

Most staff could speak English and those who didn’t actually understand my Spanish (amazing, as my Spanish is sporadic words). The AC worked fairly well in my room. There were no electrical outlets in the bathroom/sink areas, so just adapted. There was a party outside on the grounds on Saturday night, but noise was stopped after 12:30, so sleeping commenced from that point on. Overall it was nice, I would stay there again.

Which was frustrating because we’d have to walk to the lobby to use the restroom, we complained multiple times but all they said was that they would send someone to the room to fix it and never did so from 3pm-9:30pm we had no water or power.

- Leoncio (6/5): - The Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel and Villas has history and charm, having been built in the 1970s, but it definitely shows its age and could benefit from modernization. The show during our stay was excellent. That said, several issues stood out: the apartment lacked proper air conditioning, the outdoor chairs were broken, the window screen needed repair, and the shower did not drain well, leaving standing water. While housekeeping did a good job, these maintenance problems affected comfort. For the price, I expected more. Considering this is Mexico, the cost felt high—especially when compared to the Hyatt in Tijuana, a four-star property that is actually less expensive and offers a much more modern experience. In summary, it was a decent stay with good service, but the property feels dated, and the value just isn’t there compared to other options

Room smell like old wood, dirty sheets, no air conditioning, window saling off, sofa bed not working properly ( had to get a staff member to try to get the sofa bed out and put it back in place). Bathroom door not working ( not locking). To much drama to eat together if you got food from different areas of the hotel. Terrible experience. Very upset. Not going back. I'm very open minded, but this place it's not what they promised. I have more to say, but I think my point is there.

- Linda (8/5): Nice family vacation - Nice family vacation. The resort is very kid friendly, there’s a mini zoo, playground, two pools, and lots of grass to run around in. There are lots of stairs, so be prepared to walk. Room was spacious and clean with two bathrooms and multiple beds/pull out sofas. Only cautionary thing was that we stayed in a second story room and the windows to the ocean didn’t have screens, something to be aware of. Resorts is also in walking distance of the puerto Nuevo shops and restaurants. It was overall very nice and we will return!

- Berenice P (6/5): - Overall the property was great. The only 2 reason I rated a 3 stars is because mattresses are really old and worn out and there is no ice machine available. Not all rooms have refrigerators and I wish I would have read throughly before booking. Free ice is offered in a cup and the bar is cheap about it, otherwise they’ll sell you a bag of ice for almost $3 USD. The staff was nice, helpful and friendly. The hotel entertainment is great and if you feel like staying in there to eat they have a variety of buffet breakfast and lunches which I didn’t try but smelled good. If you are going to party and don’t care about the mattress then you’ll be fine. I was there for a small getaway with my hubby and to be priced at average American hotel a night the I would expect at least a good bed and decent sheets. Also all you get is a fan. No AC which is not bad because weather was great when we went. I do believe they are few rooms with ac option so look out for that. Baja tends to have gloomy weather evenings and mornings so we were fine. It’s walking distance from calimax and other restaurants and shops. Overall, the beds are important to me so I would not stay if I’m going to try and relax but I would stay if I’m going to go party in Rosarito, puerto Nuevo or Ensenada

The 2 pools they had were very foggy as if they were not cleaned in a while. The kids pool smelled like pee and it stank horribly in and out the pool

- Magalys (8/5): - Nice hotel but no ac (just a fan) and no elevators. We walked up and down a maze of stairs to find our room. It was actually fun for me but I did not have a lot of luggage. Place is nice. Pool was kind of dirty. No beach access- just scary rocks. But it is pretty.

Restrooms have no ventilation, so, unless you shower with the restroom door wide open, the restroom are sticky, extremely humid, and gross, when you come out of the shower.
- Damon (6/5): Nice break but not perfect. - Overall we had a nice family break but it wasn't perfect. Here is a list of things that would make me think twice about going back here: There is serious cockroach problem we kept find huge bugs in our room as well as an ant infestation outside of our room. They really need to invest more in pest control. They also need to decide if they want to attract families or young partygoers because the two don't mix. On our first night we had neighbors drinking outside in 4 am. On our second night our other neighbors decided to have a carne asada right outside of their room filling ours full of smoke. It seems there are no rules here. Next the lobby bar drinks were weak and terrible, they need to train their bartenders.The restaurant was super expensive and the pizza was one of the worst I ever had. Several times we went to the pool and there wasn't even one spare chair, so overcrowded. The rabbit encloser was disgusting, if you're going let the kids enter you should at least clean it once in a while. Despite the negatives, we did have a very nice family break and for the price maybe we can't complain. Undecied if I would come back.

I was never able to use it, and the water looked dirty, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the morning buffet was good, and the evening entertainment was enjoyable — especially for families with kids. The night show was fun, but it was very crowded, and we had a hard time finding a table. They also mentioned offering fast passes for border crossing, but when I tried to purchase one, they were out and told me to go to another hotel to get it which didn’t make much sense. That said, the staff were very nice and friendly, which made the overall experience more pleasant and we did feel very secure. I also walked to Puerto Nuevo and an outdoor bar nearby — both were within walking distance and added to the experience.

- CARLOS (4/5): - I was very dissatisfied with this hotel, i will not be coming back at all. The only good thing about this place was the pool and that was just okay not completely clean. The room we received was right next to the bar area and it was extremely noisy couldnt sleep at all through out the night because of the karaoke show they had that lasted way too long ! The reception area should warn that those rooms will be super noisy due to being next to the bar area, very upsetting couldnt enjoy the this stay. And they cpuldnt even switch our room ,the front desk was not helpful at all. The food and drinks were not good at all either so dont waste your money. The room had no AC and it was very stuffy and they provided a fan to connect BUT that room had NO available outlets only outlet was for the tv , how does that make sense!!! And the restroom had no towels ,we had to call for them to provide towels for the hands and to shower- this should be automatically ready in the room and the beds were soo hard and stiff after one night, we woke up with backaches. We reserved for 2 nights but we ended up leaving on the second night, didnt want to sleep there thats how unhappy we were with this place.

Security guards on site and at entrance were very friendly and welcoming. Waiters at the hotel restaurant were extremely polite and attentive to our needs.
