• ANTONIO (8/5): - The hotel is definitely older than the pictures shown on site. However it is worth mentioning the room is spacious and clean. Wish they have bath tub in suite.
• T7695JHcelial (2/5): Very bad experience, no respect and guests' safety is not guaranteed - It was a very bad experience. We, 5 ladies, checked into their hotel and dined in their restaurant. A man claiming to be the hotel lobby manager, who wasn't wearing a uniform or a badge, yelled at us and questioned why we were eating there without his permission, even though there was no notice posted in the restaurant requiring permission. He then followed us to our room's entrance and demanded we clean up the dining area. We were shocked and didn't know if he would do anything to endanger us. The entire experience was disrespectful and abusive.
• Jose (6/5): Not ideal budget hotel - Hotel entrance is on a hill that makes check-in challenging with luggage. Greeted by a front desk employee who's favorite word was "no". Booked two rooms together, but were on separate floors. One room door did not close correctly, it kept hitting the closest wall. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi inside room but drops once you enter hallway. Hallways had weird slopes in sections, but weren't in same spots on different floors. Zero food available within the hotel, restaurant was either on holiday or gone out of business. Won't consider staying here again.

• Ma Theresa C (10/5): good bang for your buck! - close to all shopping, transportation (bus/train/airport bus/taxis). very convenient just let the cab drop you at the corner and not at the uphill part especially if you have a lot of luggage. our hotel tv remote did not work but staff fixed it after - regular tv stations. no cable, no airplay, no subtitles. 2 water bottles a day - Yey! rooftop is very nice with a view of the seoul tower. however not accessible if you have a disability as the elevator only goes to the 7th floor and a steep stair to the rooftop (8th floor) small washer/drier at 5000 won/wash clean hotel- quiet even though they said there’s construction happening - never heard construction noise but you will hear next room if they are loud. Hotel is clean and spacious- we had 2 large suitcases and 2 carryons and still have room.

• TUNG (6/5): - Good location, otherwise nothing impressive. The rooms are old and outdated. It's on the border of Myeongdong shopping area, so it is walking distance to some of the attractions like Namsan cable car, Cheonggyecheon stream and of course Myeongdong shopping and night food market. The cleaning lady is really nice.

• NORIKO (8/5): - リフォームした後のようで、室内は何処も綺麗でした。 お布団と枕がフカフカ。 ただコンセントの差し込み口が、床近くにCタイプが１箇所(2個)と、洗面所にドライヤーがさしてある(1個)の2箇所しか無いので不便でした、ここも2個欲しいところです⋯⋯ ペッドサイドとデスク付近に3個穴タイプの差し込み口が有りましたが、Cタイプしか用意していなかったので使えませんでした。 スマホ用の差し込み口も無かったです。 洗面所は2人同時に使用出来る位広く、シャワールームもガラスで仕切られ、水が洗面所に流れる事も無かったのは良かったです。 トイレの便座も新しく、トイレットペーパーが流せました。 ただ横1m縦1m30cm位の大きな鏡は、とてもお洒落でしたが、鏡を引き立てる為の演出なんでしょうか、ライトが鏡の後ろからバックライトになっていたので、お化粧をするには少し暗かったです。せめてサイドにライトを追加されていたら完璧でした。 スタッフは日本語が話せませんでしたが、困った時はスマホの翻訳機能で、即対応してくれたのでとても助かりましたのた、総合して星4つにしましたが、わりと気に入ってます。

• y1q1n (8/5): Spacious and clean room - Location of the hotel is just right at the corner down the road opposite the main Myeongdong shopping street. Our room has a very nice view of the Namsan tower. The room is clean and comfortable with ample space for us to open 2 big luggage for packing. Price is reasonable for its location so will definitely consider this hotel again for our next trip to Seoul.
• 664tank (8/5): Good location Excellent service - We booked 2 rooms for 3 persons since the family rooms were full. The rooms were spacious enough to move around and clean. They provide clean towels ,a bottle of water/person everyday and toiletries. Its a small hotel with very limited staff manning the front desk area but for every request you make they deliver. Very good service and they speak English, The hotel is situated across the Myeongdong shopping street, and a lot of places to eat beside the hotel. A 24 hour eatery,Mcdonalds, Paris Baguette, Isaacs across the street and a lot of coffee shoos . The subway station is just a few meters away. We would surely come back for our next trip.

• 698cwl (10/5): Very good hotel in Myeongdong area - Great hotel to stay in Myeongdong area, just across the road to the main Myeongdong shopping street. Hotel room is spacious complete with self laundry service at the roof top. Best view of the Namsan Tower on the rooftop too. Surrounded by a lot of eatery some are open 24hrs. Subway is just outside the hotel. Highly recommended for anyone who wish to stay in Seoul especially in Myeongdong area.

• Duc (10/5): Great location in Seoul - Hotel is close to everything including airport bus stop, trains, shops and restaurant. The size of the room is reasonable and in very good condition. The only gripe is that I lose wifi connectivity between 8pm and 10pm each night. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Isaac toast was across the road and restaurants like McD, fried chicken shops, Paris Baguette etc are nxt to the hotel. Myeongdong street is across the road as well. Is a good hotel for option.
• Youliang Royston (8/5): Not too bad a hotel.. - It was my wife and my 4th wedding anniversary. We stayed at this hotel and on our first night, we were given a twin sharing room and the room wasn’t well cleaned. There was sand on the bed and strands of hair in the bathroom. However, the hotel changed us to a double room which was to our delight. However, there were only 1 pillow for each of us. When we called to request for more pillows, they said they don’t have anymore pillows and offered blankets instead, which didn’t fit our purpose. On the overall, it was still quite a pleasant stay despite the minor hiccups.

• hungrrry2019 (8/5): Clean rooms and good location - Hotel is just on the main road in Myeongdong, across the street from the main market and shopping area. Easy walk from the train station and only 5min walk into the Namdeamun market area. Hotel room was not too small, decent size to open up a couple suitcases, modern style and clean. Bathroom has good shower and water pressure. There is a very nice view of the Seoul Tower from their roof top deck, so definitely work a visit during the night. You can catch the bus to the airport just down the road. Definitely can recommend this hotel and would come back.

• Bernard (8/5): Small rooms with good location. Nothing fantastic. - Room size weird. First night given a room next to staff storage area. Return back after 2 nights and was slightly better. Given a room along walk way. PLEASE note room size very tiny base on triple room. Do consider this factor as picture of guestroom very misleading. WiFi not consistent and always very weak, at times you may get bump out. On the other hand, location is superb, easy access to all major trains, eatery, shopping malls etc.
• YY (10/5): - New oriental hotel is located conveniently near Myeongdong Station and opposite the famous MD shopping and food street bustling with activities from 4pm onwards. There are a few cafes surrounding the hotel and there is no worry about finding food in the vicinity.
• Josephine (10/5): Hotel worth going back - Rooms were really clean and comfy though a little small, but it’s acceptable. Love the toilet as it’s very spacious. Location is really near the subway and most imptly just <5 minutes walk away from Myeongdong Street. Love the fact that there’s also a neighbourhood restaurant that sells comfort food like gimbap, soft tofu stew, etc etc. Procedure for checking-in and out were really quick and efficient. There’s even a weighing machine for your luggage at the hotel lobby. And it’s also really convenient to travel to the airport as the airport limousine bus waiting area is also just about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Would definitely come back and stay again.
• Huang (8/5): A week stay in Myeongdong district - ACESSIBILITY Great location as it is situated in between of N Seoul Tower and Myeongdong. Its also easily accessible to the train station via Exit 4 of Myeongdong Station. For quick local breakfast stop, Issac Toast is opposite the hotel. Has a 24hrs CU (7-Eleven equivalent) around the corner. SERVICE Front desk service can be improved for some of its staff but overall responsive. ROOM COMFORT The bed feels worn as one can feel the springs when lying on the bed. Very soft pillows.

It is about a 3 min walk to the train station and on the corner of a main street so a Taxi can easily find it. It is clean, offers breakfast and is a great mid-range option for staying in the area.

• Marie-Mi_000 (8/5): Nice clean hotel, good location - This hotel is clean and look like it's been renovated recently. The toilet is outfitted with a bidet. The included breakfast was good, one of the best in our stay in South korea (which included 7 different hotel/hostels/b&b) and offered lots of varied food. The mattress we had was easy firmer then my liking.

But there was only tiny window and no views due to the building standing in front very closely (as if I could reach it with my arm). We changed again but the result was the same and we were told that if we want nicer room, pay more. That's so terrible.

• Cindy (6/5): Convenient location - For those seeking for spacious room, this hotel might not be your first choice. Staffs area bit inflexible about check-in time of room. Was told their Air-conditioning system are turned off due to cool weather. Guests are requested to open the window to allow cool air into the room. Which is quite annoying because it can get quite noisy with window open. Cleanliness is quite well maintained though.

• SL (6/5): Nice hotel quite near the subway. - Nice hotel quite near the subway. 2nd time staying in this hotel but this time wasn’t as good as before. The wifi they offered is terrible. Super slow and the connection was bad. just a very basic hotel and the price we pay was not worth. With the amount, there is much better hotels nearby.

Popular Issac Toast is opposite the hotel and Paris Baguette is a short walk from the hotel, near exit 4. The main shopping area of Myeongdong is opposite the hotel with lots and lots of shops and eateries. Highly recommended. Love the washer and dryer (KRW5K)!
• octak (8/5): A good base for exploring Seoul - This hotel is on the opposite side of the busy Myeongdong shopping street. It is within walking distance of Myeongdong Station (exit 4). Limousine buses from the airport and outbound daytrip buses also stop in front of the subway entrance (or nearby), thus putting this hotel in very strategic location and suitable as base for exploring the city. It is also very affordable, clean, and modern compared to other hotels nearby. If you arrive to the city/Myeongdong by subway with luggages, please be aware that there will be section with staircase-only (no lift/escalator) access. Exit 3 has escalator. The bed was comfy, but the standard room is a bit smallish with very small window. Our room on the 6th floor get no natural lights in as it was facing a big wall. Thus fresh air is hard to get in. It was november, and the hotel has turned off central air-con, and they declined to turn it on for our room. So at night, we were kind of struggling to go to bed due to the warm room temperature (eventhough it was pleasantly cool temperature outside). My advice is to request a room with outside view, that way, at least you get access to natural light and fresh air. Get a family/triple-bed room and you'll get a much, much bigger room and bathroom I wasn't impressed with the work of the housekeeping. We stayed 5 nights, and the sink hadn't been properly cleaned and wiped of soap scums the whole time. Amenities were not consistently replenished. They did not provide body lotion either, which definitely would have been helpful for Seoul dry air. Our shower did not drain quick enough due to the design. Big flat-screen TV and dimmable bedside lamp was a plus. The lift and reception/lobby was nice. The reception service was hit and miss, depending on who served you. I got a reception guy who didn't smile at all during checkout. It was probably part of his nature, but it didn't exude warmth/welcoming feeling for guests being served. Some speak good English, some have limited English.
• D5656ZPjoh (10/5): Probably Best Hotel In Myeongdong - We are group of 5 people. Booked the hotel via Agoda and spent 8 nights there. Really feels like home, simple hotel but really nice and quite. Once you enter the lobby you will smell the grape fragrance it's like hotel's signatures fragrance =p We booked two rooms. One twin beds and other one is double bed plus one single for my parents and little sister. The hotel located in the main road, this is perfect. Do you know why? Because taxi can easily stop there. I recommend you not stay in the Myeongdong Center Area it's too packed and taxi hardly go in there. Pick hotels in the main road it was just 5 minutes walk to Myeongdong Station and Myeongdong center where you can go shop and eat. There are a lot of choices of hotels there but I really in love with this hotel.
• jho047 (6/5): Clean hotel with new furnishings - Like the location of the hotel which is right infront of Myeongdong station. Very close to the N Seoul tower. However, amenities in room has some operations default. The plug has issues operating well and seems friends travelling together is not too happy with the staff service.
• ifhan (8/5): Great location - Its clean, the rooms are big, the bathroom was nice, the location is GREAT. The hotel has a washer and dryer at the rooftop. Some of the staff has trouble understanding english and also has trouble speaking english.
• SheanFD (8/5): Wonderful stay - We had a pleasant stay. The hotel location is very accessible and convenient. Myeondong street shopping area is around 5mins walk. Visiting other tourist spots from the hotel is also easy since it is located near the station. The hotel has a rooftop which offers a nice view of NSeoul Tower. The room was spacious enough for 3 persons. The bathroom is wide and clean. They offer breakfast with few selections but it was fine with us. The staff were also helpful and nice. Will stay here again when we go back to Seoul.

• Wabito (8/5): Wonderful hotel but can be improved! - Hotel is conveniently located near myeongdong station, just a few minutes away. Staff is really friendly and helpful. They also have a laundry service at the rooftop. We had a standard double room and the room size is acceptable. However the only thing that cause me disturbance is the weird noise every morning. It seems to be the tap from upstairs or downstairs. Perhaps sound proofing is not done properly. Whenever the guests upstairs uses the tap, the noise gets very loud and echo in my room. The invervals of the noise is every 2 minutes and goes for prolonged period of time for abt 1 hour. Other than that, the hotel room is really great and definitely value for money for the past 4 nights here. Perhaps it is only this unfortunate room? We have booked this hotel again for another 2 nights next week. Perhaps the other room will be better. Will update again!

Staff very helpful and friendly. The location of hotel are very very easy to go to Myeongdong. The guest room also big for two of us with big 2 luggage. We love it, thank you
• JOSEPH (10/5): Great Value in Myeong-dong - Nicely refurbished older property in super, Myeong-dong area location. Clean, average size rooms feature comfortable beds and standard plus ammenities for under $100 USD / night. Coin-op laundry was a welcomed convenience before the long flight home. Daily Breakfast Buffet (+9,900 KRW) was solid; additional Western choices might broaden its appeal. The New Oriental's friendly, helpful staff make what would otherwise be a 3-Star property, FEEL like a 4-Star. Highly recommended for value-conscious travelers.

Sink was in the bedroom and toilet and shower were in another room which is a clever touch if room is shared by two. The room itself (room 413) was very clean and new. Good for short stay if travelling alone with one other person. Not much room to place luggage but did have proper wardrobe cupboard. Staff were very polite and helpful. Reasonable price for location and clean tidy smallish rooms.

• Lillian (8/5): Very clean hotel and close to Myeongdong - Very clean hotel with 3mins proximity to Myeongdong shopping, subway and airport limousine. It's a non-smoking hotel with free wifi in all areas. There is a convenient store round the corner. Our room has a view of the Namsan Tower which is located at the back of the hotel. Checking in is very smooth and fast.
• Lim K Sg (8/5): Convenient hotel near Myeongdong and Namdaemun. - It is just a stone throw away from the iconic N Seoul Tower. Myeongdong and Namdaemun is just 5 min walk from the hotel. Location near the subway station, shoppers paradise.

• Jenson (10/5): Wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staffs - I've booked this hotel for our first trip to Seoul after some researching (price, location, ratings) and indeed this is a very good hotel. The staffs are friendly as they helped us out with directions as well as the timings for the airport limousine. Room was clean, with most facilities can be found in most hotels.

Con: wash basin not inside the toilet but in the bedding area with the boiler and hairdryer...causing floor always wet after use. WiFi connection is superbly poor...most dissatisfying!

• ST (8/5): Good Location - We stay at New Oriental Hotel for few nights, some stayed at Standard Double Room, some stayed at Standard Twin Room. I would say Standard Double Room is more suitable for short period stay as the room is very small. The basin is inside the room instead of toilet, sometimes will cause room floor in wet. Standard Twin Room have bigger space, good enough for me. If want to go with double room, i would recommend to pick Superior Room and above which i expect it will come with bigger space. But overall the hotel is pretty good and provide all the basic amenities required. Lastly, the location is superb which just opposite of Myeongdong. Very convenient and less noisy.
• Joel (8/5): Great location and friendly staff! - We stayed here for two days at the end of our holiday in South Korea before departing Seoul. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist with working out our route to the airport. The hotel is also located at the edge of Myeong-dong, just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping streets. There is also plenty of eating options around the building or just across the road in Myeong-dong. My only complaint would be that the Wi-Fi was too slow. In common areas the Wi-Fi was fast and usable, but access was very limited in the rooms. This was not much of an issue for our two day stretch, but for a longer stay you might want to consider another hotel in consistent Wi-Fi in-room is a significant factor in your choice.

They made our stay very memorable and we will definitely return to stay in this hotel on our next visit to Seoul.

Very close to exit 4 of myeongdong station and right by the myeongdong shopping area. Hotel staff spoke english and were helpful. Only thing was there was a fake tree right by the lift which was sometimes in the way!

• Linda (8/5): Great Location - Really liked the location of this hotel. Walking distance to City Hall, Shinsagae department store, palace, city hall, train station. Lots of restaurants in Myeongdong Street. The front desk staff were fantastic, always polite, smiling friendly, and willing to help with any request. The room size was a little small but workable. The bathroom was really big but shower only, not bath tub. My only small complaint was the bathroom floor needed a good cleaning. It was dirty the whole week we were there.
