• Janicke (10/5): Lovely stay at charming Inn - As we were driving through Aberlady before checking in, my friend commented on how cosy the hotel looked. I was glad to inform her that we were about to stay at just that hotel. And the hotel was such a gem, with friendly and very service minded staff. The rooms were very charming and had everything we needed for our stay. We also enjoyed the cosy bar, as well as the lovely breakfast. Would have liked to stay for another day.

• Zoë (10/5): Warm, welcoming stay. - We had an amazing stay, the people were absolutely lovely and extremely kind. We had a problem with our shower and were immediately given various solutions , overall an incredible stay where we felt very much at home and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was again so incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back here. Lovely location as well not far from the coast.
• Paul (7/5): Great location, good food but the bedroom needed an update. - This is an old fashioned Inn located in a very pleasant village next to the Firth of Forth with excellent coastal walks nearby. The overall ambience was good, the staff were friendly and efficient and our room was a good size. Our breakfast was well presented and of good quality as was our evening meal; the Caesar Salad was particularly good. Our room, however, was in need of some tic, in particular in the bathroom. The room was cramped, the towel rail did work but was coming off the wall and whilst, although the shower had been re-decorated, the rest of the room needed an update.

• Dani (8/5): Great price for the location with a great breakfast. All around satisfactory. - Great price for the location for three people, especially with breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly. Very tight room for three people, but it was satisfactory for one night, especially for the price in that area. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff brought us up to the room. Parking was free all along the road. Very small room for three people, so do not expect any privacy or a lot of room for belongings. Bathroom was tiny, my brother in law is a 'bigger' build (to put it nicely) and he barely fit in the shower and the small space where the toilet was.

• Peter (10/5): Glad we booked here - Great location and great view from our room. The room itself is spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean with the most comfortable bed ever. What an absolutely night's sleep! Food and service was first class. Dinner the previous evening delivered promptly, well presented and really nicely cooked - restaurant is well recommended. Now for the Breakfast - oh my word! Using local produce this was the perfect start to the day this was the highest quality and a must to have - well done!!! Do we have any negative thoughts or comments - absolutely NOT. Would we rebook - absolutely YES. Nothing to criticise, this was pretty much the perfect stay

• Teresa (7/5): - Very clean room. We were late booking and they were very accommodating, upgraded our room with more space. It was just what we needed from a long day. Breakfast was very good and included in the price. Lovely decor with artwork from local artists. Very pleasant overnight. As it was a late booking, an early notice when I called that parking parking was on the street could have been helpful.

• S Johnstone (10/5): Cosy, clean and delicious food! - The room was lovely, immaculately clean with crisp white bed linen. The huge, fluffy bath sheets were the best towels I ever used in a hotel. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The purpose of our stay was to attend a birthday party in nearby Port Seton and had another event to attend the next morning so didn't get to spend much time but would love to return for a relaxing stay over with dinner and a wander around Aberlady. There was nothing I was unhappy with.

A really nice stay and reasonably priced. Suppose if I were to be critical they could offer herbal teas and fresh cookies in the room.

• Monique (9/5): Da alles absolut hundefreundlich ist und wir alte geschichtsträchtige Häuser mögen, war es toll! - Wir sind erst abends nach einer langen Fahrt aus den Highlands angekommen, wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und konnten noch ein sehr gutes Abendessen in der sehr gemütlichen Gaststätte genießen. Begeistert hat uns die Hundespeisekarte. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Es gab kein Buffet, man hat es a la Carte bestellt und es war ein typisch schottisches Frühstück mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Die Lage des Old Aberlady Inn ist besonders stark für Natur-, Golf- und Erholungsurlauber. Man bekommt eine Mischung aus Küstenlandschaft, Dorfcharme und guter Nähe zu Edinburgh. Für einen ruhigen Aufenthalt mit typisch schottischer Atmosphäre ist die Lage definitiv ein Pluspunkt. Bis zum Strand ist es nur ein kurzer Weg, aber es ist auch kein Badestrand. Dass die Zimmer klein sind, muss man erwarten, wenn man sich in ein 200 Jahre altes Hotel einmietet in dem Bäder offensichtlich nachgerüstet wurden, auch dass manche Dinge nicht so modern sind, aber unsere Aussicht aus dem Fenster war nicht so schön, wir haben direkt das Dach vom Wintergarten vor den Fenstern gehabt. Das war für uns jedoch nicht so relevant, weil wir ja wegen der Umgebung, dem Meer und der Landschaft da waren.

Es tot el que esperes d'un allotjament tradicional escoces - Localitzacio, neteja, ambient general, servei rebut i qualitat de les instal.lacions. Es un lloc ideal per visitar Edimburg sense estar al mig de la ciutat. a mes es pot visitar la zona, que es molt i molt maca. Res en parrticular. Tot molt be. Nomes recomenaria posar algun endoll que permeti endollar carregadors amb endoll formart EU (per exemple els endolls per afaitadora que hi ha a motls hotels i que aqui no hi era). Tambe recomenaria buscar una manera de que la llum d'emergencia de l'habitacio no sigui tant intensa. Un cop les llums estan apagades es realment molesta.
• Tiny (10/5): Authentic stay in Scotland - What a cosy place, with friendly staff, and great coffee, and food. Comfortable beds, good mattress, but a but narrow. Also, since the place is very old, it was chilly with a storm raging outside. Luckily there was a hot water bottle in the room!

• Alan (8/5): Ideal base for golf or walking. - All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was very good. The property has a nice traditional feel to it and is very clean. Location was ideal for our party for access to golf. Access to the rooms is via slightly tricky twisting staircases but if you can walk around a hilly golf course you can manage it !

Great night sleep in a comfy bed. The bathroom was a little small, it may have been a squeeze for a larger person but we managed no problem.

Biz çok memnun kaldık :) Biz iki kişi konaklama yaptık. Kahvaltıda ikimizin siparişleri arasında 15 dakika gecikme oldu, önce abimin kahvaltısı geldi sonra benim kahvaltım geldi. sadece birlikte kahvaltı yapamadık sırayla yapmak zorunda kaldık :)

Varsinkin erittäin mukava henkilökunta on aivan kultaa ja auttoi meitä kaikessa toimimattomasta laturistamme reittiohjeisiin ja vinkkeihin. Saavuimme myöhään, varsinaisen sisäänkirjautumisen ulkopuolella ja silti he laittoivat meille vielä iltapalaakin, suosittelen ehdottomasti kaikille! Olisimmepa ehtineen yöpyä pidempään ja tutkia lähialueita. Ensi kerralla!

• Catherine (10/5): Dog friendly stays - Loved how welcoming to the dogs everyone was. We stay at some 'dog friendly' places that are really just about dog tolerant. The old aberlady inn was different. Wonderful food and very comfortable beds. Also, for such a dog friendly place, it was spotless and didn't smell like a dog friendly place either! Great location and lovely walks to keep the dogs and toddler entertained! There wasn't anything I didn't like.

• Susan (10/5): Warm,welcoming,cosy, the best of authentic Scottish hospitality! - Everything! Cosy authentic charm of an old village inn. Great location near beautiful walks along the bird sanctuary and tidal coastline. Staff could not be more welcoming and friendly whilst still being highly professional. Nicely appointed newly refurbished room on top floor with a view over the sea to Fife. Only thing negative and probably only my personal preference, I don’t like having my breakfast in a dark room with lights on as if it’s night time. Would have preferred if breakfast was served on the street side where there was daylight through the windows overlooking the street.
