They advertise check in times at 4pm and after. I asked for earlier and management said possibly and would notify me. I got to check Ina bit earlier. An earlier check in is expected when oaying almost 200 a night.

• Heidi (10/5): Beautiful location, Highly recommended - We had apparently asked for a "partial-view king" and received just that. It had a bit of a view of the ocean and a good view of a lake across the road. We did not expect such large and light-filled rooms. The views were beautiful and the light was wonderful. There was a decent kitchen with a full-sized dining table. The living room area was completely surrounded by windows. There were two bathrooms! It was very clean. We did not use the beach or pool, but they would make this great for a family. For us it was a nicely located place to explore the area. We stayed for too short a time.

Also had a living room with a fireplace. We loved our stay! Not much I didn't like. We were on the upper floor and I am 71 so I am not fond of stairs. The suite was worth the clìmb.

• Kelly (10/5): The price was worth the location alone! - The location itself is worth the money. You are steps from the beach in a beautiful area. The town is so small but so cute which makes it very home-like. Only 30 minute drive away is Cannon Beach, which was unreal! The rooms are old, as you get at a standard beach motel, but well taken care of for what you get. You’re really not paying for the room as much as you are for the location. There is an indoor pool… I didn’t personally use it, but there were a lot of people and it looked pretty nice. The front desk staff was fantastic. A bit outdated but overall still very nice.

Having a full kitchen is incredibly helpful. The couch was so old you could visibly see the springs pushing to break through the cushion fabric. Time for a new couch! The bed was a little lumpy as well, but I actually slept fine on it.

• O'Connor (9/5): - We travelled with toddlers and two dogs. The room had a stunning view of the ocean and a safe balcony for the toddlers. The beach itself is amazing. You can walk in one direction to the town of Rockaway Beach and beyond and, in the other, I still have not walked to the end of the beach. We loved the staff, the pool, the proximity to so many great adventures (Tillamook Creamery, Nehalem Bay, Oceanside, etc., etc.). The town of Rockaway beach was lovely with lots of great restaurants, food trucks, artisan stores and much more. A great stay. I have travelled to the Oregon coast for many years and this is my favourite spot for all of the foregoing reasons. As we have toddlers, the only ask I would have had is to have a chain lock on the inside/top of the door so that they could not easily exit. Not a huge issue for most. We did rig up a bungee cord alternate after the first "escape" :)

The fire place being electric was a nice touch, having a balcony for the open view to see the sun and the moon. Carpet needs deep cleaning. However, this place has all and more you can book.

• Christine (10/5): Our stay was fantastic and well worth the four hour drive from our home. We will return to Rockaway - Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a brand new sponge on the sink. It was spring break and so lots of people around, everyone was happy and kind. The only frustration was that the wifi dropped out constantly.

There was no seating directly across from the tv, but that was okay. We weren't there to watch television.

There is ample parking and it’s very safe. The rooms are clean and simple. The feel is cozy and not overly fancy, perfect for average people. The accommodations are appropriately priced. There are no negatives, other than we don’t get enough time here.

No problems with check in. The kitchen has everything you would need and appliances are newer. The room is very dated, not retro-cool, just worn out. Definitely needs remodeling. If it was updated, am sure they would charge a lot more.

Awesome view from little patio! Super friendly staff we will be back! Hot baths are a luxury for me, so the tub was much appreciated slightly narrow but long enough to comfortably lay in. Love the fireplace ambiance! Only point for perfection would be a hot tub. Also noticed all ocean-view rooms have stairs which would be disappointing for wheelchair guests.

I got the basic room but they have larger ones also (suites etc). You have to climb stairs to 1st level and more stairs to 2nd level. No breakfast, but there really is no way to offer breakfast the way the buildings are laid out.

• Babette (8/5): Great view and location to the beach but uncomfortable beds. - The view, we had a beautiful ocean view, it was the very best part of our stay. the beds are old and very uncomfortable. The rooms could use an update.
