Guest Reviews
- Warwick (9/5): - Good location for Seward but very quiet
Everything you need
Owners very helpful and easy to contact
- Tracy (10/5): A Lovely Cosy Spot - If we had time, we would have loved to stay more than one night. The property is beautiful and quiet.
I loved that there was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a stove and oven, good sized coffee mugs, toaster, cutlery etc. Loved the extra touches that made us feel welcome.
It is a cosy home away from home.
- PABLO (10/5): -
- Jennifer (8/5): - Only left a half roll of paper towels and barely any soap to wash dishes
- Keith (10/5): -
- 花舞 (9/5): - 两卧室小屋,比较紧凑但设施齐全,两个卧室的床都很大,大约有1.8米宽,周围很安静,交通便利
- Vedangi Kulkarni (10/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): - We were in the Moose Cabin. It was amazing. Reasonably priced. My family of 6 stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed more. The cabin was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. The host was very nice. Being able to do our laundry was a nice plus too. The fire pits were awesome too. My grandsons ages 4 and 10 loved it too. Plenty of room outside to run off energy. There was a Safeway grocery store a couple miles away and Exit Glacier was only about 8 miles away. The covered porch was nicely decorated for fall and so peaceful to relax on. I highly recommend Box Canyon Cabins.
- Yossi (10/5): -

- Puru (9/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - The cabin was very well equipped and very clean. It was great.
- Enrich (10/5): -
- Markus (10/5): - Beautiful cabin, well maintained with a nice outside area around the nature pool. We loved it. The good Internet speed was also appreciated. We will definitely come back again. -
- Lisa (7/5): Great stay and hosts. Great property! - Loved the property, a few cabins with small pond. Fire pits , grill and laundry available. The cabin was great except no sink or mirror in this cabin. Very awkward trying to dry your hair over the kitchen sink. This is where the only mirror was.
- Super Sue (10/5): A very beautiful cabin that is secluded in the woods. - The location was beautiful and secluded. The fire pit with firewood provided was an extra bonus. Plenty of room for 6 of us. I wished there were more amenities such as salt and pepper shakers. Big refrigerator was also wonderful to have. Very clean too. The bathroom sink had a slow leak on the faucet and was hard to keep it turned off.
- Radek (10/5): Very nice location, well equipped cabins giving you opportunity to fall in deep sleep in among the forest. - Amazing location in nature, nearby the city Sevard
- Ann (10/5): Would highly recommend and will stay again if available - Extremely clean and well managed Quiet out of busy area
- Rajivakshan (8/5): - More amenities like fresh towels, utensil scrub etc.
- Julie (10/5): Lovely property and space. Very comfortable for a family visit to Seward. - Beautiful grounds Tight bathroom
- Craig (6/5): - Small tv with awkward controls, tiny unit with no place to put things, have to live out of your suitcase, no bathroom sink, have to use kitchen sink for everything
- Teresa (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, you won’t regret it! - Beautiful property! We had the wolf’s den cabin with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and kitchen/living room area. The beds were very comfortable with nice pillows and bedding. We made breakfast each morning in the cute little kitchen. There’s a nice grocery store in nearby Seward. We had a bit of rain every day but not a lot. It was nice and quiet there. We loved our little cabin in the woods. When they say to bring quarters to use the laundry, they’re serious. We couldn’t get quarters in Seward on the weekend. The only thing I would suggest would be curtains on the bedroom windows. The blinds are fine for privacy but actual darkness is pretty short in the summer.
- Mukund (10/5): A lovely stay with the family. - The cabins are nice and the space is fabulous. With an access to a fire pit, we could spend evenings with the family and had a lot of fun. Will definitely recommend.
- Sylvia (9/5): Great location, price, and facilities. - The location was great! Leaning over the sink to look into the mirror. A front facing mirror elsewhere in the cabin would be an easy fix.
- Laura (10/5): - The cabin was great, bigger than expected, we had plenty of room for 6 to eat together. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, the grounds were beautiful and well kept, we will be back soon!
- Erica (9/5): An excellent 2 nights in a 3 week journey. - Location and design. Lovely ambiance. Slippery sheeting
- Carol (10/5): - We had a few questions the owner answered them immediately. We asked for a later check out and it was not an issue. The grounds were beautiful and our granddaughter had so much fun just exploring. We will return!
- Lacey (10/5): - The location was excellent. Quiet and lovely and close to downtown Seward. We felt like we were camping, but without the inconveniences of camping. :) The starlink wifi wasn't working about 50% of the time we were there. It was good to disconnect, but hard to manage all the moving parts of travel without internet. I know the infrastructure isn't ideal for WIFI, tho—we managed just fine without it.
- Donna (10/5): - Couldn't get the TV volume turned down, but other than that, everything was great.
- Theodore (8/5): - Didnt like that coffee maker still had old filter and used coffee grounds present. It hadnt been cleaned.
Didnt like that all cooking utensils were present, except for the one we needed, the frying pan.
Didnt like that our understanding from advertisment, was a washer and dryer was available in rooms
We did like the appearence of cleanliness of room, albeit the coffee maker issue which questions this
we did like the quiet area, very peaceful
we did like the ease of check in
we did like the shoes off approach, much like our house
- Sean (10/5): -
- Alan (10/5): - Great stay, close to everything AK. Lots of amenities, fire rings, pond, porch swing, etc. Coffee was k-cups. Very comfortable.
- WALLACE (10/5): - Very comfortable
- Erin (10/5): Peaceful setting - Beautiful setting, convenient to town, very clean and comfortable.
- Cesar Prieto (9/5): Great location and well equipped -
- Adriana (7/5): Many negatives for this property. - Liked the pillows & cleanliness. One bathroom for 5 people doesn’t work well. Although the sofa bed in the living room is counted as a bed, the lack of room darkening shades made it impossible to sleep during an Alaskan summer with virtually 24 hours of sunlight. The upstairs people were extremely noisy.
- Courtnee (10/5): -
- Ting (8/5): Comfortable cabins for a short stay. - Cabin style property with a quiet neighborhood 👍 Facility is a little bit old 😅
- Gisela (10/5): -
- SUSEJ (10/5): - Repetiría ! No había cambios de monedas para la lavandería
- Denis (9/5): Loved the cabin , it was cosy and comfy - Lovely, well equipped and cosy log cabin Couldn’t use the washing machines before 10 am and after 7pm !! We found it inconvenient timing !
- Jesus (10/5): Supper comfy and cozy - Location Location Loft ladder to close to counter top
- Giulia (9/5): -
- Katie (9/5): -
- Mary (9/5): An amazing Alaskan oasis - Beautiful setting and well maintained. We visited at the end of the tourist season in Seward so we never saw staff except for one maintenance person and the landscaper. Close to Seward but in a natural setting, which was wonderful It would have been helpful to have known about the laundry facilities before we arrived so we could have come prepared with detergent and quarters. Perhaps that info could be added to the welcome information sent to guests who book
- Hardy (9/5): Beautiful quiet location with nice cabins and a garden like a park. Would come back anytime - The location outside Seward is really a nice place with several apparments/cabins laying in a wonderful clean garden, more like a park. We really enjoyed to stay outside in the garden area with sitting and eating area, including a barbecue corner
- Ashley (8/5): -
- Shawn (10/5): -
- michelle (10/5): - Loved this little cabin in the woods. We had the Eagles nest cable. Great for just me and my husband. Comfortable bed, very clean and the area around was great. Wonderful front porch- Wish we had more time to spend there.
- Kathan (9/5): - Wonderful location, right in the middle of the woods! Quite close to Seward main town to get groceries, access boat tours etc.
We loved that the cabin had a stove and all utensils so we could cook as well! The wifi was very very slow, wished it was a bit faster to do some basic tasks because there is little to no cell reception in this area
- FF61 (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay!! - Clean cabin was comfortable bed. Kitchenette allowed us to make both evening meal and breakfast saving us the money of eating out. Being able to do laundry was an added bonus.
- Christine (10/5): -
- Trish (10/5): We loved our stay at Box Canyon Cabins. We were in the Moose den and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed having a bi - Beautiful location, clean and quiet
- Satyajit (10/5): - Beautiful cabin, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. Danny was super-responsive and took care of everything we asked about. Definitely worth a repeat visit when we're in the area next!
- Robert (8/5): - Brudna zasłonka w prysznicu do wymiany!!!
- Sigrid (9/5): -
- Rubén (8/5): - The place One of the beds has very dificult access for certain people. They should be specify this.
- Franco (10/5): -
- Peggy (10/5): We had a restful night's sleep at Box Canyon Cabins. - The property is really pretty and the Moose cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The cabins are about 8 minutes outside of town in the middle of the woods. This isn't a problem if you have a car but getting transportation to get to and from the property was not easy and expensive ($15-$25 depending on the service for a one way 8 minute trip). Other than the distance with no car to get around, we have no complaints and would stay here again with a car next time.
- Nancy (10/5): We loved this place and would stay again if we were in Seward. - The cabin was so cute. Clean and comfortable. The property was lovely with beautiful gardens and fire pit area.
- Rose (10/5): - Location, beautiful grounds. Cute cabins. Quiet serene area! It' was great!
- DEVASHIS (9/5): -
- Jaynalee (10/5): This location was beautiful and perfect for activites at Seward! We loved relaxing around the pond. -
- Alan (10/5): - Beautiful quiet setting with a lovely man made stream and garden. Cabin was very nicely decorated and the wrap around porch very relaxing. Just minutes from everything in Seward.
- Adam (10/5): - Great little hidden gem, quiet, clean and great landscaping that almost seems like an extension if the doesn't around it.
Cabins are rustic and charming.
- Karen (10/5): - Beautiful setting and very convenient. Would stay again!
- Brad (8/5): -
- Ben (8/5): -
- Andrea (5/5): - The location made us feel like we were in Alaska. Bathroom was dirty. Hairs from previous guest on the floor, mat at sink was filthy. Shelf above bed was covered in dust. Numerous power sockets covered with blue tape. Staff member walked in on last day without knocking, the most basic of housekeeping training.
- Patricia (7/5): - The grounds and location were excellent.
Our cabin was a bit small (Peterson) but had everything we needed.
- Lopez (10/5): -
- Janice (10/5): - Very quaint and clean cabin! We loved the little pond and its waterfall feature. We also loved the the campfire area.
- Cyndi (10/5): Perfect - Quiet and well maintained
- Kiara (9/5): -
- mike (10/5): Very Nice Cabin - Seward and this cabin were wonderful.
- Popin (7/5): -
- William (6/5): - We have stayed at this property 3 separate times. Each time new owners. This time took Bears Den as didn’t need biggest cabin. Oven didn’t work, wall between bedrooms provided no sound barrier but mostly TV did not work, when we reached out to owner he stated I don’t own a tv I don’t know how to help you but that tv always a problem. So 3 days no help, no tv. Left very dismayed with treatment. It will be last visit unfortunately.
- Kristan (9/5): Fantastic Alaskan getaway. A home away from home. - We loved the whole environment. Inside was very cozy and had everything we needed. Thank you providing space heaters and plenty of towels. Outside was very well kept and I'm sure even more lovely once summer finally arrives.
- Richele (10/5): - Cozy cabin. Nice spot
- Luther (10/5): - Cabin that accommodates 5 very well. Nice on site activities, outside grill, firepit and laundry. We were traveling for family adventure and extended our stay at this property for 1 day. We would like to find accommodations of this quality and price in other locations. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
- Raul (9/5): -
- Kelso (10/5): We had a wonderful time there, fixed our own breakfast then something simple for dinner so saved money on eating out - It was a cute cabin in the woods. Great location. It had a kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave and full size fridge, dished, silverware, pots and pans. It was so nice not having to eat out every meal. Nothing, it was great
- Hendrik (10/5): -
- Gert (8/5): -
- Michele (10/5): Everyone in our party loved our stay. - We liked the cleanliness of the cabin as well as the comfort. The fire pit’s were an extra bonus. The grounds were immaculate. This was my third time staying here and I will continue to visit in the future. It was also so quiet and only 3 miles from town. Great place!! My husband says better wood for burning. He says it was just too green and didn’t burn well at all.
- Sandra (10/5): - We loved our stay, just wished we had stayed longer. Our expectations were met. We even saw a young Black Bear. If we would get the chance to visit again we would definitely stay here again.
- WUTIEN (8/5): 務必選獨立小木屋,才不會被隔音不佳影響。 - Moose cabin 樓上還有房客,隔音非常差!
- Vicki (10/5): Great visit to the Seward area and beautiful accommodations. - Beautiful setting. Cute cabins. Very quiet. Off the beaten path. Everything was great. No complaints.
- Hansulrich (9/5): -
- Ursula Nötzli (7/5): - Lage, sehr ruhig gelegen. Eher teuer.
