Guest Reviews
- Mauro (10/5): - The dogs were free to stay! The grounds were great for the dogs it was guilt and quaint. Rooms were clean although they need to look behind doors for dust etc.
Ocean view was really nice.
The restaurant was good! Service was great! Good delicious!
- marcio (10/5): - Good service but expidia needs to update the phone number that is 612 1346456.
- Myrna (10/5): - Beautiful location and property.
- Kenneth (6/5): - Friendly staff
- Daniel (10/5): - Amazing place with great staff an incredicle restaurant down stairs, authentic mexico feel. Beautiful rooftop terrace to watch the sunrise over the ocean or set over the mountains. 5 star
- gregory (2/5): - We never made it to the hotel! The Expedia map directions took us over a very dangerous dirt and rock road. We got stuck (even in 4wd). It was getting dark and my wife and I were very scarred! Luckily, we were saved by a gentleman who was coming the other direction on an atv. He couldn't pass, since the road was very narrow. He was able to help us backdown the mountain and get to safety. After we got to safety, I called and texted the hotel, and Expedia! No response from either of them. The next day I did get thru to Expedia, who told me I could get a refund, but I had to upgrade to a "refundable" reservation and pay an extra $400. Something isn't right with this listing. Be careful of potential fraud.
- Barbara (10/5): - This listing was La Paz and it is NO WHERE near La Paz. It is up the coast from Los Barriles. Very remote, quiet and peaceful. Great place to step away from the world.
- Jeannie (10/5): - Wonderful people! I believe we were the only ones there staying… views were incredible! Beautiful sunrise! We will be back!!!
- Peter (2/5): - This was a terrible booking , the last 25 kilometres is a washboard dirt road, book with caution
Very disappointed
- Iraj (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): Everything was great! - Everything was great!
- leon (10/5): - Great staff!
- Kasey (10/5): - Clean nice rooms, great food at the restaurants and friendly staff
- Iraj (10/5): - The pool is clean and really private
- Liane (10/5): - Beautiful property, very friendly staff and our room was simply amazing, especially for the price!
- Dana (8/5): - Beautiful property but be aware this shows as La Ribera when it is actually in El Cardonal. Room was comfortable but next to the games room so pretty loud. It had a backyard view, not an ocean view but the other rooms would have a great view. Food was good and the staff were very friendly.
- Michael (10/5): - The owner and staff are wonderful people. The location is perfect! We look forward to our next trip.
- Alex (10/5): - Nice place near the beach. Balcony for the room was great. Only issue was that the pool water was green in color. We did not go in because of that.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Top Rated! - Felipe is the best! Great little spot that has everything you need. Well constructed.
- Suzanne (10/5): - We really loved this place it was very clean and the food and service were really good and the people there are very friendly and helpful 😊
- Robert (10/5): - Las Terrazas is a gem. If a quiet break from everything is what you are seeking then this is the place. It is located at the end of the paved road from Los Barilles and takes you back to the Baja of 50 years ago. In El Cardonal there is a small village with two little convenience stores and that is about it. Las Terrazas has a restaurant the is open from 8:00am til late so you have a place to dine and the food is excellent and the prices most reasonable. We stayed just two nights but next time will plan to stay longer. We had a room with a spectacular sea view and we would have our morning coffee on our balcony watching the ocean as the sun rose. It was the best form of therapy. We were either on our balcony, in the shaded bar or under the canopy by the pool. It was heavenly.
- E. Michael (10/5): - Felipe and his staff are awesome! Wonderful place to stay.
- Lee (10/5): - Nice location and peaceful
- Peny (10/5): A Perfect Place - This was part of a bike trip for two of us and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and overall feeling. Excellent food and the best drinks in town.
- David (10/5): Bueno - Clean, comfortable, friendly, and wonderful food at the restaurant. We will be back.
- Susy (8/5): Fun getaway - Spacious room, great patio/views, unfortunately not private enough from neighboring decks.
We cleaned up on arrival at 1500 hrs Terrible water pressure and took forever for water to heat up but maybe i
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice little get away in a quiet town. Hotel is beautiful and restaurant has great food.
- louis (10/5): tranquillo as they say in Mexico - Awesome Place very clean fantastic
- Ted (10/5): - Local charm, decoration in Mexican style, nice Mexican style colors.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place on the edge of town with great views of the village, the sea and the mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was great and prices fair.
- Ken (8/5): - The property and staff were excellent. A little more that what we would spend for a hotel in Baja. The on site restaurant is good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cozy, charm and close to trails for off road driving.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Hotel!! - The hotel and staff were amazing. The place was meticulously clean, the food was good, service was excellent. Nice quiet area close to beach with a couple restaurants close. It is about 30 mins from Los Barriles
- CraigS (10/5): - This is my favorite place in Baja to stay. Nice rooms, great staff, nice pool, food is good here and the beach is very nice. Everyone is so friendly in this little town.
- robert (10/5): Viva - Amazing place great rooms quiet fabulous food at the restaurant old Mexico at its finest
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is home away from home. Always feel welcome and can’t wait to go back!
- peter (10/5): Excellent small hotel. Fantastic food. - Very nice small hotel. Large room was almost apartment size. Newer hotel. Food was excellent in attached restaurant nice pool area everything worked and it was clean. There was heavy duty deadbolt on door. Try the shrimp quesadilla burrito never saw these before. Good breakfast. This place was up to American standards. It was not in town and was not on beach but was nearby great beaches. It’s isolation was part of the charm for me
- Tammy (10/5): Our favorite in the area - Such a great place to stay. It has everything you really need. Every body is friendly and so caring.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place, nice room and balcony, large fridge and kitchen. Furniture is hand made and the whole hotel has a traditional mexican feel to it. Staff is friendly and discreet. It was for us a nice change from the constant solicitation you get around cabo.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely phenomenal staff. We had car troubles and the staff were able to find us a nearby repair shop that could see us right away. The hotel is extremely clean and a beautiful facility. Location is also great with ocean views. Highly recommended.
- Kathy (10/5): - Beautiful location fantastic staff. Spacious rooms
- Craig (10/5): - Only thing bad I would say about the hotel is that there is not much to do in the area except fish. Rooms are of nice size and 5 of the 6 have nice views. The quality of the food really improved from last year. Nice people work here, pool is good, service excellent and very nice bbq area on the roof. There is a bar that makes pizza around the corner owned by Alfonzo which is a must do.
- Guadalupe (10/5): - Staff was excellent. Very clean and accommodating. Great location for fishing. The locals very friendly and safe place to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): East cape trip - Everything about his place was terrific from the location to the staff and the rooms and the food! Will definitely go back!
- Ron (10/5): Adorable, quaint place that felt brand new! - Amazingly fresh and comfortable place. A little further from town of Los Barriles than we anticipated, but was beautiful and quiet! Best hotel hed on Baja for same price range. Even the sheets and pillows deserve a mention about their comfort!
- Ned (8/5): At the end of the pavement. - My friends have a home about three miles north of la Cardonal where this hotel is located. This is the closest place to stay when there is a full house. It is literally at the end of the paved road. However, it is relatively new. Felipe, his son Edwin, and uncle Alex go out of there way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Though only five rooms, the hotel has a bar and a restaurant. There is only one other in town. There is a nice pool and the property is attractive and well maintained. I look forward to staying there again.
- Lisa (10/5): Amazing Place - The hotel was beautiful the rooms were well decorated and absolutely immaculate, spotless and charming with ocean views. The staff could not do enough for us and the manager was an absolute gem!!!! It is a hidden treasure in the town and it has a rooftop deck with views to die for barbecuing and a restaurant where the food is absolutely fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel… Other than maybe I don't want to secret out because then I won't be able to get down there and book it when I want it(lol) – it is an amazing place!!!!!!!
- Craig (10/5): Nice small hotel - Perfect little 6 room hotel. Very good service and restaurant is pretty good also. Nice little pool and rooftop lounge with charcoal BBQ for your use.
- max (10/5): Las Terrazas Delivers Safe, Clean, Quality-Comfort - Las Terrazas is very , very good , especially for this area which is a remote small community of less than 1K residents of the East Cape in Baja. The hotel is less than 3 years old, family owned and operated on site daily. Felipe Lucero is the GM .. Rooms are very clean, (practically still in new condition) A/C ice cold , water hot, fans dont squeak, linens and beds good, etc. fantastic roof top patio with spectacular views, & on property is good pool and 5 min walk to beach. They will bend over backwards for you.....remember its Baja, nothing is fast here..food pretty good (designed for gringo tastes) but I prefer much hotter traditional style..they will accommodate any reasonable request. This is a very small fishing and ranching community of less than 1K people so if you like remote and unspoiled its great...if you want fishing there are some excellent pangueros available (I am regular baja fisherman) and Felipe can arrange that....recommend Antonio Lucero ,or Roberto Aviles, . If your driving the East Cape "loop" on a multiday trip of want to be in a remote place with great amenities for the location and price for a more extended time, you wont be dissappointed
- Maya (10/5): Great place to get away - Had another great stay at Las Terrazas - nice, big rooms that are very comfortable, appreciate the air conditioning and the cable TV so we can watch football games while traveling. Run by a very friendly and accommodating family - and delicious food at the restaurant, still the best shrimp-stuff chile rellenos I've had anywhere! Can't wait to come back.
- Cathy (10/5): If you like privacy & beauty you'll enjoy. - We were two couples with two rooms, we had a hammock on our patio, our friends wanted one also! The rooms were spotless & decorated tastefully in the typical Mexicans style. The restaurant had delicious meals. Only wish the beautiful pool was heated, none of us got in, we would have definitely gotten in if it was heated. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it's very secluded & picturesque.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great experience, near an awsome place for snorkel - It is not a resort with lots of people to pamper you, but you get the feeling that you are at Home. Very friendly staff, very good food and drink prices, great sunrise views from the terrace. They will lend you the grill on the roof top. It is two blocks form the beach. I went swimming with my two kids got to swim with turtles, great experience.
The place and clean and modern, the only thing the kitchen need is a stove, we brought an electrical pan so we were able to cook.
