- Marc Oliver (10/5): Best Resort in Anda - beautiful location with the best private beach area in Anda. spacious rooms with excellent service and a very good restaurant.
- James (9/5): - Stunning location, very friendly staff, great food, large rooms, fantastic snorkeling, sadly didnt get chance to dive but heard it was very good. All great, only would suggest a few more local dishes on the menu.
- David (7/5): Costly - Location was superb.
Nice beach.
Great reception area Food was mediocre and pricey.
No hot water in the bathroom.
Coffee in the room poor.

- Magda (10/5): No mass tourism, no crowds. Just a unique atmosphere - This place was absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by nature, with a tropical surroundings and an authentic atmosphere, it felt like a little paradise.
I loved waking up to the sound of exotic birds singing and somehow, miraculously, without any annoying insects. Everything was spotless and simply wonderful. I really liked the interiors: our room was spacious, had a lot of natural materials, it was simply made locally with good taste.
The staff were incredibly kind, but in a genuine, effortless way. Mara, Cherry, Samuel Jr, Aimee - just truly nice people who make you feel welcome.
The food was outstanding; I still dream about the tuna tartare, it was that good. Carbonara? I’ve been to Rome many times and this one was pretty much the same like in Italy. Chicken skewer was sooo good, even something simple like French fries - home made, so yummy!
I also really appreciated the environmentally respectful diving options. We went on a snorkeling trip, I felt really safe and comfortable and we saw so many turtles!
I felt completely safe and happy going for walks outside the hotel to the nearby village, where everyone was warm and friendly. I truly fell in love with the Philippines, and I’m so grateful I found this hotel. I rested more deeply than I have in a very long time.

- Tomas (10/5): - This place is an absolute gem. We loved everything from warm welcome, professional and kind staff and food!
- Karine (7/5): Good - Great resort with super friendly staff The swimming pool had black coating and my daughter ruined her swimwear
- Precious (9/5): Superb -
- Cecille (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (7/5): Good - Rooms and pool Beach was not attractive and easy access
Gravel on the balcony
Connections with outside of resort
- Chrisette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (9/5): Excellent -
- Fro (8/5): a little paradise - the location is just beatiful with a nice pool and a private Beach. Our room was really good, all rooms should have a nice sea view. The food was really good and you can choose from a long list of potential dishes. The diving center is part of the resort and was also really good.
But what we liked most was the people that worked there!! You really get the feeling to be part of a big nice family :-) The hotel is a bid far from the next town so you can hardly do something on your own without a driver. But most of the guest go diving anyway so that this is not a problem.
They also arranged a one day trip around the island for us.
The Resort is clearly more expensive then other comparable resorts around (including the food). I guess the reason is the combination of: nice location, a nice vararity of a really good kitchen, the diving center and finally the extremely nice and friendly people.
- Sunha (10/5): This is the best ground paradise to rest in the world. - It's a perfect place. a hidden gem of a place. It's a good place to forget everything in the world and rest about once a year.
The owners Fred, Alodia, and Brestine, and the staff are all kind, so I feel like I've been really well rested and treated.
If we recommend too much, it seems like our own jewel-like resting place will disappear... Nevertheless,I really recommend this place. It's a pity that there was no regret. I was a little disappointed that there were no people when I visited during the off-season, but even that was better.
- Cimino (10/5): Very special quiet place. Beautiful windows. White sand beach - All
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morgan (5/5): great diving. - I liked that the staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. we liked having a dive shop at the hotel and so many sites nearby. it was very beautiful, beautiful beach and nice pool. beach / sea looks like a postcard ants and termite ants in our bed. waking from a nap on arrival to flicking small crawling creatures was not cool, and made me concerned for the stay.
ants everywhere. ants in the bathroom. room cleaned, room sprayed, sprayed outside. nothing really helped. we didn’t eat anything inside of the room for fear of ants, and every time we had beverages etc, always rinsed carefully but, it was an issue predating our stay.
pillows smelled like mould. when we arrived it smelled really strongly of lemongrass air freshener.
didn’t expect the the menu to have so many heavy / large dishes (very limited light snacks or food), and barely anything Filipino. when it’s so hot & humid, don’t want giant plates of food that go to waste.
it’s not easy to get to the hotel from town due to the condition of the road. which we could have also been warned about before arrival.
- Olivier (10/5): Exceptional -
- L (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic staff. Welcoming and also respectful of privacy. The food was stellar. First time I didn’t mind eating at a hotel all the time. The beach was pristine and the dive centre folks were so helpful. Loved the slow pace of life. Definitely a place I’d come back with friends and other family. If I had to be incredibly picky, just the fake grass rooftop above the dive centre. Somehow it seemed to take a little bit away from all the naturalness of every other aspect of this magical place.
- Eng.jo (10/5): Hidden gem - The drive from the airport to the resort is about two hours, but believe me it's worth it and then some. The view of the resort private beach is spectacular, the staff are extremely friendly and kind, and the food is the best i had in the Philippine. The owner, fred, is a gentleman, he sat with us to tell us about the place and asked if we needed anything. Best resort experience I've ever had, it was like visiting a friend I never knew I had. Didn't have the chance to spend more time
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (10/5): Absolutely Perfect - The ambience was very peaceful and relaxing throughout the whole resort due to it not being a huge building with hundreds of people. This place was way more personal and we could feel that there was a real attention provided to all the clients. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Special thanks to our waiter Jef who was amazing !
Their spa was amazing, nothing more to say, and the beach/pool was always quiet with very few people.
Concerning the room itself, it was big, comfortable,
and always clean. Especially the bathroom.
The food was also very good in the restaurant with a decent amount of choice. Nothing. Everything was truly perfect.
- Xingru (10/5): a perfect place for vacation - nice view, great service the temperature of the shower water is unstable
- Peter (10/5): Amazing place. Don‘t give up on the „road“ to Amun Ini! -
- Anthony (10/5): - Amun Ini was a paradise for our family vacation. Starting with the location itself hidden away in dense greenery and private white sand beaches at your fingertips and all to yourself. The resort has a small capacity so with the large property you roam around unbothered and full relaxation. Next: the food. Of our 20 years visiting the Philippines this was the BEST Filipino food we had ever had. The chef is exquisite, brings alive new flavors and additions to Filipino classics and explores international dishes as well. Finally: service. Jeff was our waiter during our entire stay and I must say, he made us feel welcomed and lightened up every meal -he’s the best ! In short, this resort stood out in 3 ways: Location, Food, and Service.
Apart from our outstanding stay, only thing to take into account is that the price of excursions are quite high compared to the prices you would find externally. Nevertheless, it was incredible and we hope to come back soon.
- Milad (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (9/5): Superb - beautiful and secluded
- Sona (9/5): Serene - everything except.. beach are not clean from garbages
- Celine (10/5): - Amun Ini is a family run property of 16 rooms. It has an absolutely stunning private beach , and the food is devine , everything is home made but what stands out to me is the service and hospitality of the team, really going above and beyond and so kind and warm. We loved our stay and we'll definitely be back !
- Tina (10/5): - We fell in love with the staff, the accommodations, and the beach vistas at Amunini! This is a special gem in Anda that we hope to be able to return to one day. Fred, the owner is kind and so gracious and Jeff the main server + the restaurant staff shows how service ought to be everywhere! The food and drinks were divine and we didn’t want to leave. Bravo!
- stephanie v (6/5): stay at Amun Ini - The place is beautiful. The room is too generic in my view and lacks charm. There should be an iron in the closet. There is no free snorkeling equipment. Included Breekfast does not include orange juice. You have to choose from several dishes and the result is that you still feel hungry unless you pay extra. The distance from the airport , with the traffic risk, is a bit of a problem.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Definitely going back again!!! - Had the best time with friends from morning activities with personalized diving experience until night time where you can hang out at the resorts poolside dining area. The resort has a good selection of wine, one of the best massages ever and really great food selection. The owner is very accomodating that made us feel at home throughout the stay. If you’re lucky, you get to meet the cute and charming dogs around.
- Aziz (4/5): - My friend and I stayed at Amuin Ini for three nights. We have been advised to check out Anda beach by close friends. However, we didn’t expected to be that way. Overall the resort is amazing but there are few things that didn’t appeal to us nor made our stay enjoyable. It’s desighed for couples only. Everything the spa closes by 5pm and the meals are set on specific time only and we can’t eat if we mess a meal and can’t go out side as it’s dark as hell. There is now 24h room service too. Very limited activities to do inside the resort. Only diving, snorkeling and swimming pool. It was very good that we have figured that there is a better experience outside the resort. We rented motor scooters and drove around the town and explore many things. Cave pools, mystery islands, meeting locals, visiting a wide public beach, many water activities with way less price than the resort we stayed at. More over after arriving back to the resort we were shocked to know that we have to fill the scooter tank even though we weren’t told at the begening. One the the thing that made our dining area way excitied was our waiter JEFFERY. He was by far the best waiter we have ever come across. Super funny and happy person, greeted us at every time he sees us.
My personal openion is that Amuin Ini has potentials to exceed our expectations but sadly we didn’t feel it was a resort worthy of it cost. I will be back but not to the same resort.
- Annabelle (10/5): - Great vacation... the place was very relaxing and the food was superb!
- Bassam (10/5): - Spectacular property! Amazing service, fantastic food and out of this world diving spots and facilities. Compliments to Fred and family as well as the entire staff for making this one of the most memorable vacations we ever had. Also to the dive team (Lito and Justine) for making sure that our dives were awesome and safe.
- Casey (10/5): - Wonderful hotel on private beach with great staff and great diving
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amun Ini Hotel is in the Anda area of Bohol Island which is the eastern part of the island. It is approximately 3 hours drive from Tagbilaran Airport.
My partner and I stayed at Amun Ini for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We enjoyed how the hotel welcome their guests.
STAFF
The staff are all very warm friendly and always very happy to help. It felt like home away from home.
I met the owner Fred. He is very friendly and always happy to have a chat with the guests and making sure that guests are being looked after well.
The hotel has a nice big swimming pool overlooking the sea. The hotel also has a private beach with several little huts to have a lie-down and relax.
Restaurant
I must say that Amun Ini makes the best sisig we have ever tasted. My partner and I tried many of the foods on the menu and they’re all delicious. You cannot miss their special rice and the sisig.
The hotel helped organize airport transfers. The hotel also helped organize the island touring activities which included a nice Loboc river buffet lunch.
My partner went scuba diving. The diving instructor is very good - they use the pool first to ensure that divers know what to do before going out to the sea for their dive.
Thank you Amun Ini for the wonderful experience in Bohol and we cannot wait to visit again which we hope to be in the very near future.
- gulcin (10/5): Your own private paradise - We loved Amun Ini for many reasons, the privacy, the quiet, the scenery, the ambience, the staff, the food and excellent service. The service was superb. I wish we could have stayed longer.
- K (6/5): Overpriced - Everything in this resort is way overpriced including the room rate.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Lovely place, but overrated. - For the price, one would expect bedroom slippers/toothbrushes, but alas, none to be found. Also, the resto closes at 8pm, and the staff go home as well, so no service crew after 8, just the security guards.
Bathroom windows leave you exposed to probable peeping toms.
- Fred & Cherie (10/5): FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY - My Fiance and I stayed here in this romantic setting for 7 nights. The food is superb, and the service exemplary. Top Class all the way. Fred, the owner, is a wonderful man that was a pleasure to meet and visit with. His wife a very nice lady and together they run a 1st class place. We would recommend this to anyone that wants a romantic, private, comfortable, and quiet place right on the sand.....along with the private beach was simply the best. Absolute perfection, an outstanding resort. If you want the best on Bohol island, this is it.
- ADRIAN (10/5): Great Place - Great people , made to feel at home
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful quiet location, great 4 couples. - Location and views were beautiful. Perfect for a two day get away, unless you are going for the diving.
Would not go to this location if you want to swim in the ocean. Beach very rocky, virtually impossible to get into water without getting cut or scratched by sharp rocks. People who were heading to the diving boat were the only ones I saw on the beach. Food was very good. Bread amazing. Good selection of wines and cocktails. Service was not perfect ( slow, at times inattentive) although people were very pleasant and tried hard to please. If you are in Island mode this may be fine, given how apologetic staff is when they became aware that something was not right. The owner lives on premises and greets all guests.
The room was very pleasant, the bed was far too hard. We both woke up with sore necks and stiff backs. We did avail of the traditional Hilot massage which was great and helped to remove the stiffness created by the mattress.
- Albert (8/5): SOMETHING DIFFERENT - We just wanted to experience something different from the usual that is offered in other resorts of Bohol, Philippines. The Amun Ini Resort would be a great place to really relax and enjoy good food.
- Susan (10/5): Getaway Extraordinaire - This resort was a pleasant surprise From the moment we were greeted at the door until they said good bye when we left. The service was great and owners very friendly making guests feel like family. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Pleasant pool and great snorkeling and dive opportunities.
